My and my partner popped into Crab Pot Cafe almost on the stroke of midday which is when this cafe stops offering the breakfast menu. The lady kindly accommodated our breakfast request which we placed quickly as we realised we were cutting it fine. The breakfast was not only tasty but also good value. We were both really hungry when we arrived and fully content when we left. The lady providing service on this Sunday was friendly and efficient, the cafe was nice and relaxed for the most part. Unfortunately towards the end of our visit, just after ordering another coffee around 2-3 groups of people entered the cafe with dogs. I really like dogs but they all started barking at each other with fairly shrill barks which was far from relaxing within the fairly small cafe environment. We drank our coffees and left shortly after due to this disturbance. I've only rated the cafe down ever so slightly due to understanding that this is not going to be the normal situation and realising how difficult this is for the staff/owners to be able to manage. I'd definetly return if in the area and I'm sure it is a massive rarity to encounter ill-behaved dogs (or moreso irresponsible dog owners!!) in this or any other establshment.

We visited the Crab Pot for breakfast, in search of some local Cromer crab, and we weren’t disappointed! Delicious crab salad, very fresh and nicely presented, and a veggie breakfast which was just right, hot and fresh. Lovely service and a very tastefully decorated place with little woollen crabs for sale too! Don’t miss this place when you visit Cromer.

We visited today for a tea and a coffee. It was about 2.30pm. The lady serving told us they had sold out of crab. The drinks cost us £5.00 and they were brought to the table. I enquired if a ladies restroom was available but unfortunately there are no facilities on site. We paid and left the cafe in search of toilet facilities.

A cozy looking cafè that has no toilet facility. Ordered a crab sandwich to go which took around 15 minutes to make!. Finally when i got the sandwich it was very basic, bread was thin with very little filling. Quite annoyed that i was charged £7.95 for such a boring tasteless sandwich, for that price i would have expected something a little more worthy of the price!!!

Didn't actually eat here. Apart from the fact that they don't have toilets and said they didn't have a table for 5( until a customer said they were leaving and we could have their table) the main reason was that they'd sold out of crab( around 145pm) and we were told to visit another day. Unfortunately that won't be possible as we're on holiday and staying 45 mins away. We did find crab at a nearby cafe though.

On our first visit here they had run out of crab so we had the slow-cooked beef stew with cobbler, plus the chilli, which were both good, especially the beef stew. We returned today at 12 00 to try and make sure we had crab and it was so worthwhile coming back. We had crab cakes and the crab platter. Both were delicisous, well worth the return visit. The crab had sold out by 12 45, so if you want crab make sure you come early!

A marvellous little establishment in the heart of Cromer. My Wife, young Son, and myself took the opportunity to dine here for brunch and could not have been more pleased. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the staff and even some regulars who were already enjoying their meals. Everyone seemed genuinely friendly and the service was attentive. A high chair was offered and supplied right away without us even having to ask. They obligingly provided my Son’s dish as soon as it was ready, and were very kind in providing extra plates/cutlery to accommodate the typical toddler eating style. The coffee and tea are most palatable and responsibly sourced with the meals comprising as far as possible of locally sourced produce. The cake/sweet treat selection was equally good with a respectably sized slice of chocolate cake being enough to finish off the meal for all three of us. The lunch and picnic menu looked inviting, although we sadly could not stay for a double fixture. I shall certainly have The Crab Pot at the top of my list should I find myself peckish in Cromer anywhere from breakfast through lunch. I would heartily recommend this café to anyone looking for unpretentious, but modern locally-sourced food, good coffee, and a warm welcome.

We frequent this establishment most weeks and have always been more than satisfied. The food is great and the owner, Mike, is a pleasant and thoroughly nice & friendly person. With reference to some reviews, people should realise that, unlike apples, plums, pears etc crabs are not picked from trees. They are live creatures (well they were before being served in a restaurant!!!) and like all things taken from the sea the supply is not endless and diminishing. If you're unlucky and no crab is available choose something else from the menu, it's all good. Some people who write bad reviews should have a look at themselves first before they criticise others!

We searched for the recommended place to eat crab in Cromer and this place popped up. On arrival we were ignored and told nothing of the menu availability. After sitting for a few minutes and being ignored while the guy wiped our table, I got up to order to be told that they would come over (again not mentioned previously). A sign was put on the window next to us that said ‘crabs in short supply’, after hearing the owner say to the table next to us that there were only crab sandwiches we got up to leave. It was at this point he finally came to the table - we said, sorry but we were going to order the crab platter as we wanted full crab, his response? ‘Good luck!’ And walked away!! SO RUDE. I understand that the menu can change and crab may not be available always (however it was 12noon so not late in the day), so this isn’t the issue - but the attitude of the guy serving was horrendous and rude. His manor suited the atmosphere in the cafe to be honest... Anyway, looks like our luck was in as we walked around the corner and immediately into Hot Rocks where we had delicious crab for lunch.
