A very delightful experience ! As you walk in you are welcomed by a lovely hostess who accompanies you downstairs to the trendy bar area where a live dj is playing a mix of sound tracks. The lighting is set to that of a trendy and fancy nightclub. The cocktail menu has a variety of traditional tequila mixers. The seating area is well thought out, and table is set to perfection. Our waiter was very good, but he had a bit of a sassy attitude. Nonetheless, food was prepared in good time and delectable. Every meal was enjoyed while sipping on cold beverages. Overall, great atmosphere, good hospitalityand exquisite food. Highly recommend for a night out with friends or even a date night.

Restaurant specializing in Peruvian food, located near Buckingham Palace. It is very elegant and with exceptional attention. It has a menu, a tasting menu at a price of 95 pounds, and a lunch menu consisting of two or three courses, at prices of 38 and 45 pounds respectively, with the possibility of choosing between several options. I came to eat and decided on the two-course lunch menu option, choosing classic sea bass ceviche as a starter and grilled sea bream for the main course. Courtesy of the house they gave me pâté and quinoa bread. With two beers (Alhambra Reserva 1925 and Cusqueña), ecotaxes, donations and service charge, the bill came to 67.55 pounds (about 79 euros). It is expensive; the beers, 9 pounds for the Cusqueña and 10 pounds for the Alhambra, but I 100% enjoyed the food; the ceviche, the best I've ever had, and the sea bream, incredible. To top it off, the waiter, Sandro, made me enjoy the food even more.

The food looks better than it tastes. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. It's great if you want to take pictures, but there are better resturants serving great tasting and quality food in the area.

The food is cooked beautifully, amazing flavours, I just wish the portions were slightly bigger! The music and atmosphere is also great, however the staff could stand to be a bit friendlier. Having been here a few times, we only return due to how tasty the food is! Once tried to book by calling and after the first attempt, the reception staff just took the phone off the hook to stop us calling 😐

I write as a Coya novice. My wife took me to celebrate my birthday. It was a genuinely unforgettable experience. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous, respectful, helpful, efficient, charming and discreet. They were superb.The décor is casual opulence. There’s money here but this is not somewhere you are afraid to make a mistake. It’s the elegance of the chandelier and the DGAF of the plaster. The food is exquisite. We ordered seven dishes from the a la carte menu and one from dessert and they were all fabulous; full of flavours, beautifully balanced, colourful and delicious. It is sensational. The atmosphere is cool sophistication. We were there on a Friday evening and were treated to live music from a bosa nova trio (guitar, percussion, voice). All, obviously accomplished musicians with a love for their genre. The singer – I’m afraid I don’t know her name – had a wonderful voice and absolute command of her craft. So when, to my great surprise, she came to our table to sing Happy Birthday I was both astonished and honoured. Imagine being serenaded by Ana Carem. Exactly. THAT good. We had a wonderful, magical evening. I’d give Coya Mayfair seven stars if I could.

Great experience . We had a big voucher to spend at La Coya and we went with friends! Great choice of dishes made by the chef , fab wine recommendation to pair the food, delicious desserts too . Lovely service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outrageously overpriced, poor service and awful with allergies. You’d think when going to an “up market” restaurant in Mayfair they’d make their food fresh. Everything was pre-made and no flexibility to even add some herbs, spices, garlic, anything at all to make up for the fact I couldn’t have the sauce due to a vinegar allergy (absolutely everything had vinegar in, again suggesting pre-made with preservatives). Poor communication, zero effort and still full price food. And if you think the high price would come with a smile or two from the staff, then think again. Super serious, unfriendly and most definitely not smiley. We paid £35 for this plain bit of fish. The beans were cold and everything was super salty (including the staff) to make up for no sauce or flavour and I didn’t sleep properly afterwards due to severe dehydration. Really not the experience you would expect at a restaurant like Coya. We visited the sister restaurant in Barcelona last year and they were so accommodating, but it seems the Mayfair version feel like they don’t have to make any effort. Such a shame.

This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL and the food is INCREDIBLE. This is my dad's favourite restaurant in all of London. He took me and some of my family there again for my 16th birthday, and I have no other way to describe this immaculately perfect restaurant other than to stick with the simple words AMAZING

The restaurant food & atmosphere is good but overpriced.

The service was really slow. We ordered the tasting menu and were 3 plates in before we got our first drink. The cold dishes seemed pre-plated and not fresh and we had to send our beef main back as it was cold.

It took them more than 20 minutes to deliver the table we booked at 8:30.

Something I noticed everytime when I dine at Coya Mayfair. I was very disappointed to see waiters asking for gratitude and embarrassing the customers, while the restaurant already took 15% service charge!! That’s very annoying and embarrassing.

Very delicious food and lovely staff

Table wasn't ready on time and we had to wait 15 minutes while standing in the bar which was extremely packed and incredibly loud. No one came asking if we wanted a drink and it was impossible to order. When we finally got a table, I almost had to beg for a waiter to come and take our order. Bad services, great food, and expensive bill. There are better choices in London.

Thank you for being so accommodating to all our needs throughout the organization of the evening, and thank you to all the staff that was there in abundance making sure we were all well taken care of.

Exceptional overall with amazing food and fabulous selection of tequila.

Food and service were great, we were there for lunch. We had a selection of dishes from the starter and two main dishes which were amazing. Dessert were to die for! Yummy all round.

Really nice atmosphere and great service! Everything is well done but there's nothing surprisingly special for example compared to the Peruvian Restaurant Barranco in Zurich. So you can go to a low-key peruvian with lower prices.

Abbiamo preso il menu degustazione, la mia partner è pescatariana e la maitre ci ha fatto gentilmente sostituire gli unici tre piatti di carne con del pesce. Abbiamo mangiato veramente bene, direi da evidenziare i tacos di tonno, tutti i ceviche e anche il risotto col seabass. Come dolce i churros erano veramente gustosi. Pisco sour perfetto (ci mancherebbe verrebbe da dire visto il prezzo ma non è sempre garantito a Londra). Prezzo sicuramente non popolare ma a Londra questi locali sono così.

Food is OK. Terrible and really poor service! Never again

The ambiance is beautiful no one can argue on that. The lady at the reception was very welcoming. The food was average good; the drinks were excellent. However, the service was disappointing, the waiters were completely out of reach we had to call them constantly and waited for long before anyone responded, which spoiled the experience. It was lunch time and the restaurant was not busy at all.

Considering how slow the service is, the allocated time for the table is always way too short (as this is not the first time I’m encountering this situation), and it feels a bit odd to be kicked out after the allocated time after having had to gulp down the food really fast because service started really slowly. I have also been noticing a decline in the quality of food as I’ve come here for quite a few years. The tuna ceviche seems smaller and far too salty compared to how it used to be. The papa seca dish apparently now has pumpkin in it, which wasn’t a thing a few years back, which to me seems to downgrade the dish. The cocktail/mocktail selection is also far from impressive. Having tried quite a few of the cocktails I can say a lot of them taste like one another, which kind of beats the point if having a cocktail selection. Overall, the more I have come here, the less satisfied I have become. The quality of dishes, drinks and service has significantly diminished recently.

Visited Coya Restaurant for lunch; the staff was exceptionally welcoming and offered great dish recommendations. Opted for à la carte, but they also feature a tempting fixed lunch menu at a good value. Highly recommend this restaurant, despite its somewhat steep prices. The rib-eye was a standout favorite.

PLEASE AVOID!! I’ve been there for drinks on Friday night. Me and my partner had 3 cocktails and around 00:30am the waiters told us that they are doing the last drinks order. We decided to have another cocktail and around 00:45 we got them. Unfortunately, straight ahead at 1am one of staff members who’s name was Gorav told us we have to leave the building IMMEDIATELY despite the fact that our cocktails haven’t been finished, our glasses were half full. We asked for just few minutes more to stay there and finished our cocktails, because no one informed us that exactly at 1am we have to be out of the building. THIS GUY THREATENED US TO BE KICKED US BY FORCE!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!! This night was going on really well until this GUY ruined EVERYTHING!!!!! I finished my cocktail just after 30 seconds. I’ve been in this restaurant so many times, and not only in London. I know so many people who are working there and in Dubai COYA AS WELL!!!! If no one of the staff members going to look at this situation seriously, then unfortunately I will have to proceed further legally and I won’t leave the situation the way it is now !!!!!!

I visited this place with my partner on 26 January night. Everything was smooth and we almost finished our night with very positive vibes but unfortunately Mr Gorav ruined everything in just 10 seconds… We had our last drinks at 00:45 and at 01:00am music finished and it was like a time to leave. At 01:05am Mr Gorav came to us and said that it is time to leave, with what we certainly agreed, but only after we are going to finish our last drinks tho as we have PAID for them already, which would have taken no more than 3-5 minutes. This unacceptably rude and impolite guy told us that we have 30 seconds to leave this building or we will be kicked out by FORCE! Just imagine that! I am sitting there relaxing with my girlfriend and I have been told that a bouncer will come and KICK ME OUT!!! They just made a harassment on me in front of my girlfriend (who can confirm it btw)! We did not do anything unacceptable or wrong. BY THE WAY NO ONE INFORMED US THAT EXACTLY AT 1AM WE HAVE TO BE OUT WITHOUT FINISHING OUR DRINKS! After that we asked them to provide plastic cups (as they usually should do in that type of situations, but we have been refused as well!) So no plastic cups, 30 seconds to leave, thats all! I assume for that kind of restaurant and also for that high prices this is not the service you would expect from them…

This place is hugely overrated for everything. Was there for a dinner for 3 and the bill was for over 600pounds. Just a normal, snacking type dinner - nothing really huge and outstanding and all dishesh portions for 2 shared with 3. A bottle of wine only. It is very loud, not possible to talk without shouting as on top of music there are people speaking and tables are placed in close proximity. Moreover, we were asked to finish and free the table in 5 minutes when they just brought us a dessert and coffee. That speaks for itself in terms of customer service, right? Considering that timing between meal preps and serving was outside our control, asking to leave at the time when the last dish was just served…indicates, at least, serious issues with attention to detail in planning. Long story short, none of us 3 will be their clients anymore and recommending this place to anyone in our wide circle is out of question. Hope the management is informed about this review and will take some actions to restore the image of the restaurant, if they care of course.

Our made waiter (I believe his name was Sandro and he was from Portugal) was fantastic He made us feel welcome and was extra nice to us The food was terrific Will be back for sure soon

Outstanding service from the very knowledgeable and friendly Sandro who guided us towards some excellent dishes. The Chilcano was spot on, and complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommended.

Although the atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious, our first impressions were crushed when we arrived to the restaurant! Although that we booked in advance we’ve been kept waiting for our table for a while! Which I could understand when the restaurant is busy, but surprisingly people who’ve came after us are offered a table right away without waiting!! And we check with the receptionist she said someone will come to escort us to our table soon. Now is the biggest disappointment, when we offered the table it was right next to the open kitchen and not only that it was right next to the barbecue station where the charcoals are burning up, and honestly we were melting down before we were seated!! I told the hostess this next acceptable unless you are want us to be punished and suffer!! She said this the only table available otherwise we can seat you in the private club which was basically a separate room away from the main restaurant!! Told her that we booked in advance way back to ensure great experience and good table but with this behavior and treatment already get disappointed. I told her we can wait longer for a table to be available? She said it is up to you! And you could wait for a long time and I said to her fine with us. Surprisingly in less than five minutes a table becomes available not only one table many becomes available! This was leading me and my friends to be frustrated. But in the other hand the place was energized and the food was top notch and the waiter was friendly and provides a good recommendations that not disappoint. Wish that I took a photo of that table though to warn anyone who goes there to avoid it.

Had initially reserved the table for 22:15 but only been seated 30 minutes later. After I had ordered, kitchen had only 10 minutes for last orders. I’ve explicitly explained that a cake is needed for the birthday girl. No cake and no efforts was made from staff. Food was below average.

Came back after a while, and food as good or better than I remember it

I visited COYA recently for an early dinner with a friend, and the entire experience was exceptional. Every staff member, from the welcoming lady and gentleman at the door to the attentive ladies downstairs managing the cloakroom and reception, and not forgetting the dedicated waiters, contributed to making our evening memorable. However, the true stars of the evening were Kinga, who looked after us, and, of course, the chef who skillfully crafted the extraordinary dishes we enjoyed. The attention to detail, the delightful atmosphere, and the impeccable service all combined to create a truly outstanding dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend COYA to anyone seeking not only exquisite cuisine but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It truly stands out as a top-notch dining destination.

Really good Peruvian food. We all agreed that ceviche were amazing as well as the chicken skewers and fish main dishes. We were not so pleased with the beef. However the main disappointment was the service. We were waiting to be seated for half an hour even though we had a reservation. We had to remind them a few times. Most of the waiters did not look happy working there. I understand Saturday nights can be very busy but considering it is an expensive restaurant we expected more. Not sure if I would go back.

The food has nothing to do with Peruvian food. The prices are really expensive for what they serve you. They rush you to finish and they take your plates way too quickly. They don’t even give you chance to talk when they take your plates off the table because they give you the desserts menu without you asking. Don’t come here.

We had an amazing date night here. The team were attentive. We did the tasting menu and it was delicious - wow on the cod! We loved being able to have an additional drink at the bar with music to dance to. The atmosphere was really cool. We would definitely return.

Unfortunately if you have a misunderstanding with waiter they’ll make it entirely your fault and make you pay for it, very disappointing. When ordering main I misspoke the name of a dish, what I said wasn’t on the menu, but the waiter instead of asking and clarifying which dish I meant just interpreted what I said in his own way and brought a wrong dish, I sent it back straight away and they cooked the right one, but they still made us pay for the wrong one too. Very upsetting, I didn’t expect this from such a respectful place, won’t be coming back sadly.

Mis hijas pidieron pollo y la otra pidió papa bravas y la verdad eran platos muy pequeños y caros que la verdad los pago feliz pero no lo valen! No lo recomiendo por nada! Te cobran un servicio extra sin preguntar y eso lo encontré hasta insolente!

I made reservations during an extremely busy New Year's Eve dinner in the Members area at Coya, and our experience was truly fantastic. The Peruvian-inspired culinary journey was exceptional, and we savoured the diverse offerings on the menu, especially the delightful variety of ceviches, sea bass, wagyu steaks, duck and for dessert, tres leches came in number one whilst the churros came in a close second. My party relished trying almost all items on the menu. Special kudos to the staff for their excellent service, with Arlo taking particularly good care of us. I highly recommend Coya and their team. The live music and entertainment further elevated the overall greatness of the evening.

Food is very average. The place is good looking. Unfortunately we booked early and had pression all the time for us to leave. Was not pleasant.

Horrible experience and shame on management and this restaurant as a whole. We were very excited to try this place as my boyfriend is Peruvian and we love to try authentic Peruvian places and for a first time in London, we knew we had to try it. Our reservation was for 6 pm and our first dinner for our trip! We were very much looking forward to our dinner. We ordered drinks and appetizers and before 7 pm, someone had come up to us telling us essentially we had to leave by 8 pm as the table was reserved for that time. We had no idea there was a time limit and we felt rushed and that it was extremely inappropriate to tell us that after not being there for even an hour. She then came AGAIN to tell us we actually had until 8:30. At this point we felt very uncomfortable and no longer wanted to be there. We asked for the manager and instead of apologizing, he tried justifying what happened and continued to make us feel unwanted there. When I made the reservation they should’ve said there was a time limit or they should’ve told us when we checked in for the reservation. We also didn’t see this woman or her manager go up to any other tables to tell them they had to leave by a certain time. Why just us? We have dined in many fine dining and fancy restaurants all over the world where we have never experienced such low class actions from what is supposed to be a top notch restaurant where you’re paying a lot of money. We wound up just leaving still hungry because we felt so uncomfortable and were so disgusted and disappointed by the treatment from management. The restaurant management team should be ashamed of their front of house team for their lack of respect and consideration of their patrons. If there is an expected time limit for tables this should be clearly stated on their website and they should inform all guests about their time limits, not just us. I cannot stress enough how insanely disappointed I am in this place and their lack of professionalism. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. the food is very mediocre to top off everything that happened

Great value lunchtime menu for a work lunch

This bar/restaurant caters for the very well -off! We paid £150/head for our three course meal plus drinks. Having said that the experience was outstanding. Knowledgeable and friendly service (although rather too quick - for the price we paid we felt hurried, and had not control of the pace of deliver of the food, which was annoying). The food was superb. Beef skewers and spicy beef were the highlights, but the ceviches were pretty good, and the desserts imaginative and very tasty. Buzzy pre-Christmas atmosphere (perhaps a little too noisy if you were in the wrong place). Wines are VERY pricey. Not much for under £70. Having said that that our Chateau Minuty was delicious.

Can’t believe how the food’s quality declined here. I used to love it. And the other Coyas I went to were always to the point. One of my orders, the salmon ceviche was totally unfresh. The fish was smelly and I was really craving it but didn’t wanna risk it with raw fish. Service was decent but with so much to go to in London they need to bring their quality back.

We liked the atmosphere and the dished were decent. On the other hand, the service is not good. The servers were nice, but the manager was very rude. He insisted to vacate the table before ordering dessert and workout any notice. I like Coya, but this was really the worst experience. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Incredible night out with the lady. 11/10 experience, our server was awesome and very friendly. Food was off the charts, and their pisco sours and chilcanos were fire.

Simple, clear, cheap, exactly as it should be. Coya is a real Japanese restaurant where you will feel like you are in Tokyo.

Delicious food. We went for the tasting menu and apart from the tuna - which just wasn’t the freshest - it was all great. The ceviche was mouthwatering. Service left a lot to be desired (rushed through the menu; bill slammed on the table 15 min prior to the end of our ‘slot’, which we were reminded about as soon as we sat down). Come here for the food (+ you get complimentary champagne if booking through Amex) and remember that you’re free to ask for the 15% service charge to be removed

Food was good until our mains arrived which were over salty and the beef fillet inedible. Drinks were ok but they struggled with a simple custom request and bartender seemed inexperienced and like she didn’t want to be there. I quite enjoyed sitting in the bar area despite the wobbly tables and wobbly chairs. Service was very good hence the three stars. But food simply not up to standard it should be and definitely not worth the money. It has really gone downhill since we went a few years ago. Three stars is simply for the great service and attentiveness of the waiters. However my husband spotted a mouse in the smoking area on the way out.. so we probably won’t be returning.

Well…first of all, the food was good as always at Coya. But tonight…Incredibly bad experience. We confirmed beforehand over the phone that our reservation would go until midnight, as we had a birthday to celebrate, as a party of 9 people. Not only did they have the audacity to tell us at 11.40 that we would have to leave to the bar (after bringing a mostly melted dessert to our half-empty table as some were in the bathroom at the time), but the tables they offered at the bar were separated by a wall. Just great. To top it off, they didn’t manage to bring the birthday drinks in time at midnight but a couple minutes too late. I have been a regular at the Dubai and Mykonos locations but needless to say this has been my last time.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Pricey? Yes, but really blown away by my first experiance of Peruvian food & the service was outstanding. Bravo COYA!!

The first impression is excellent- lush green accents, Aztec inspired art. Ceviche was very good, as was the guacamole. I had the beef filet with rice- the rice is sublime but the beef, while delicately flavoured, was chewy even cooked to medium. My fellow diners enjoyed the chicken main and the sea bass. The tres leches for dessert was delicious. It was loud at lunch time - be prepared for shouty conversation. Service was spotty (a lot of chatter but they don’t remember who ordered what, which I found rather odd for a fine dining venue!). If you’re hard pressed to find somewhere else to eat in Mayfair, Coya is a fair choice. But IMO there’s better Peruvian to be had in London

We have paid for our reservation around 1000 pound and we waited for 45 minutes, they gave us the table at 11:30 before 30 minutes of closing the kitchen and bar. Unfortunately, we respected their policy and we did a prepayment for the table. However, we werent respected.
