This is a gift shop with cafe which also has a fresh meat counter. We visited the cafe in the early afternoon for a coffee and a cake. The cake selection was poor, more desserts, but what we had was tasty - lemon meringue and toffee apple pie. The toilets are clean but only have 2 cubicles. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The whole place is clean and bright. There is a small but imaginative selection of gifts for babies and children, including books and clothes. There are some fresh-scented smellies for him and her. I didn’t need anything from the clothing section but it looked inviting.

Stopped at Country Harvest with some trepidation after reading some of the reviews. We arrived and were shown to a table within seconds! No waiting or being ignored as some have suggested. Order was taken within 5 minutes. Lovely to get proper leaf tea instead of a bag. Sausages were lovely, you could tell they were a high meat content rather than full of rubbish. After seeing our neighbours get the full breakfast I know what I will order on our next visit. Staff were friendly.

It is a long time since we last stopped off here and feeling the need for refreshments it was time for a revisit. Despite tables available we were kept waiting for some time before a waitress came over and pointed saying "that table over there", no hello or friendly greeting. Our order was eventually taken by the same waitress who just stood there with pencil poised, again no hello or good afternoon, the food arrived quickly and was nice, hot and tasty, unfortunately were left waiting so long for the dessert that I had to go to the counter and ask for it. Payment was the same unfriendly attitude, perhaps we should have read the reviews before calling, the food was fine but please sort your staff out, a smile and a hello costs nothing, we will not rush back !

Unfriendly staff in the cafe and food is poor value compared to other local places Ordered a child meal along with ours and asked for no tomato sauce A child meal comes with tomato sauce which my grandchild is not allowed to have. My husband went to pay no thank you, was everything ok, not once did she speak. The table was cleared by another member of staff who thought it was acceptable to knock my granddaughter arm with plates again no apology . Maybe Management need to send the staff on a customer service course.

We visited Country Harvest on our way up to Scotland from Yorkshire, we’re so glad we chose CH for our pit stop! It has a lovely little cafe with beautiful views over the countryside at the back, a shop with loads of things to choose from starting with fresh meat and veg, gifts, posh chocolates and everything you’d find in a upscale farm shop. The whole shop also smells delightful with various fragrances, candles etc for sale. The food in the cafe was really tasty and very fresh. The chips are sooo good! All the staff were helpful and friendly, but there was a short wait to be seated as they were busy (it was a Sunday). If you’re in the area, I would recommend coming here! We will definitely visit the next time we’re in the neighbourhood.

Called this afternoon for coffee and cakes, but you will never know that, WHY……because when we arrived there was no queue, but we waited to be seated, and we waited and we waited for a good ten minutes. Staff looked at us, muttered things and ignored us. A queue built up behind us. Eventually a lady seated us to a table in the corner, we waited to give our order, and we waited and waited after another 10 minutes we saw two staff come out with notepads and both went and took orders from people who were seated AFTER us, we were ignored, so after a few more minutes we upped and left. That’s 30 minutes of our lives WASTED. Never again will I set foot in this local establishment .

This country store with a café, is very pleasantly located on the A59 just outside Ingleton. The café is a clean well laid out area with good views. Unfortunately, there were no tables and chairs on the outside patio area, just a few slightly dilapidated picnic tables. The cake selection did not look very appealing, so we just ordered two flat white coffees. The coffee was large and poor quality. Definitely not barista standard. The farm shop was quite good and we bought a selection of interesting cheeses.

Travelling up-to Scotland we needed to break for lunch and stopped at this nice looking county shop with restaurant. The shop stocked lovely country crafts and clothing. To get to the restaurant you had to pass through the shop. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Seated, we looked through the menu on the tables. There were specials on a board which sounded good. Sandwiches, jacket potatoes and other hearty mains were on offer. When the food arrived we were a little saddened. Overall the food did not taste as good as it looked. Staff were friendly Toilets clean though a little small.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

The staff here are so unfriendly it's almost comical. Also, the food is not good value at all when you look at what you get compared to the pubs in Ingleton. The quality isn't bad but portions are small so if you have hearty eaters, look out! They may still be hungry. When the waitress first came up to take our order, one of our party asked about the platters and was told they weren't on the menu. Our party member expressed disappointment because she'd phoned the week before to ask about the platters and was told yes they were on, on, and no, you can't make a booking for a table. Ok, fair enough. However, the waitress seemed to take offence at just being told this was what had been said on the phone. So, when asking for the drinks order, she went round and asked everyone except that person (there were 6 of us) -- she skipped over her. We thought it was just an oversight. But then she did the exact same thing with pudding, ignored her again. We honestly marveled at how petty this was. Plenty of reviews on here talk about the staff, now we know why.

We have passed this several times and decided to give it a try. Quite possibly the worst breakfast we’ve had. We almost walked out but had a baby with us that needed to eat something. Toast was burnt, the sausage was definitely not quality or farm food and had been reheated so much it was overdone and needed a chainsaw to cut. No one asked how our meal was and half the menu wasn’t being served due to staffing issues. It is clear the food is made by a cook but a chef. Extremely poor quality food, very disappointed and it is probably quite evident that we won’t be going again and would certainly not recommend to others.

Been here many times but on the two occasions this year we have been surprised to find that the bill was about 20% higher than it should have been because of their failure to either price their display products on the printed menu or their failing to identify the additional price of cream or ice cream when asking customers whether they want either with say cake whilst giving the impression it's an option included in the price. They also fail to produce an itemised bill to the table. Given its happened twice this appears to be an intentional practice and its a bad one. Good ethical trading standards requite full transparency at the point of purchase ie on order not at payment stage so the customer has a proper and informed choice on whether its value for money

What a disappointment! Arrived at 4.00pm (advertised open until 5.00pm) for coffee and cake and were reluctantly " let in" to the restaurant, which was empty, and told where to sit and that we could have drinks only. Several staff were around but seemed as though they had had a hard day, no smiles or pleasantries. The cafetiere of sumatran coffee however was perfect. Unlikely to visit again soon.

We assumed they had been sold but we were told they did have cakes but they were getting ready to close. Both cakes were very dry and we didn't enjoy them. Drinks were fine and staff ok although they could smile more. Thought it was expensive for what we had. Wouldn't go out my way to go again.

We enjoyed a lunch at this lovely restaurant with shop adjoining. It’s well worth a stop if travelling the A65 close to Ingleton. The three cheese quiche was very tasty and the scones are great too. Pleasant service too

On our travel to the Lake District we stopped here for a bite to eat and to have a look around before making the final leg of the journey to Windermere. My grandparents had told me about Country Harvest as being one of their regular stops so I had to try it.We were walked into the shop first as there was no queue. There was nothing of note here, most things were over priced, things looked nice everything seemed way too over priced. However the baked products were quite good and we did purchase some to take with us and they were much better than the food in the restaurant - more to come later. The gift shop like section at the end of the shop was more desirable and there were a few more interesting items.Afterwards we went to the restaurant. We were seated quickly. We ordered drinks which were made and were sat on the side for a while before being brought over meaning the hot drinks had started to go cold. There was also one member of staff which seemed to argue with every single staff member in the restaurant and being sat close to the kitchen meant this was noticeable. The food then arrived after the drinks had slowly made there way to us and I was the most disappointed with my meal. I had the sausage and mash, the onions were the best thing on the plate, the mash was boring and lumpy and the veg was nothing appealing. The thing that annoyed me the most however was the sausages which were built up on a PowerPoint in the corner of the room to be the best ever from the pictures but they were lacklustre, bland and not what I expected what so ever.Others in my party had better experiences with the Quiche and Ploughman’s which were presented much nicer and had much more character than my dish. I was very happy to see this restaurant was on the eat out to help out deal.Overall, it was a pleasant stop on our journey but overall let down by unprofessional staff, poor food and over-priced goods in the shop.

We visited with our 18 month old, everybody was wearing masks before entering and they had a really good system in place to keep everyone socially distanced. The food was superb, and we visited the shop before leaving to buy some pie, and I'd genuinely say it was the nicest I've ever eaten! Chicken and leek, recommended!

What a great find! Spotted it on a drive past and turned round. Loads of parking. Staff are following all social guidance with fewer covers in the restaurant, so you may have to wait - but it was worth it.Separate queue for just the shop, which has a range of farm shop foods. A little pricy for my purse but treated myself to mince, sausages and chocolate. Separate small clothing area looked well stocked and the staff were all really approachable and friendly.Definitely a place I'd recommend and visit again!

First time back here after lockdown. Glad to be back. Been to a few cafes in the Lake District on the same trip but none taking distancing and safety as seriously as Country Harvest whilst still retaining friendly efficiency. Some places seemed to be only paying lip-service to new safety measures but not here. I felt very secure. I even liked it that staff would write down contact details for customers which meant I didn’t need to pick up a pen unnecessarily! As always, however, I come here for the quality of everything they serve, the value for money and the lovely staff who are obviously well chosen to be a credit to this cafe. My favourite are the cheese scones but pies, cakes, sandwiches and everything else I’ve ever had here are top notch.

On our way home from a weekend in the Lakes we stopped here late afternoon for an early tea. Our party of 3 were straight in as it was quiet on a Monday afternoon. We were met by a member of staff who asked us to clean out hands before showing us to a table. My wife had the Chicken and Leek Pie My Daughter had the Lasagne and I had the Beef and Ate Pie. All were hot delicious and plentiful. 3 cake aways for later and we were sorted. Friendly staff made for a pleasant meal.

we called in for coffee and cake and were impressed that there was a choice of 3 gf /df cakes for us to choose from Normally when we go somewhere there may only be 1 option and that has sold out. So we were spoilt for choice. It was good to see the menu was also detailed with dietary options too. We chose the bakewell slice, it was absolutly delicious. Well done Country Harvest !

If you are traveling between East Lancashire and the Lake District, there are two possible routes. You can take the supposedly faster one on the M6 and risk sitting in traffic jams and, if you want a break, buying inferior products at grossly inflated prices in a service station or take the scenic route via Settle and enjoy beautiful scenery AND the advantage of stopping at Country Harvest near Ingleton where you can enjoy much superior food and drinks in pleasant surroundings and being looked after by helpful and friendly staff. It's a no brainer really! Before you reach the cafe, you pass through a food hall which is always well stocked with all sorts of goodies including fresh meat and many varieties of cheese. As we were there a couple of weeks before Christmas, there were many gift ideas on display. ( There was also a separate Christmas Cabin on the far side of the car park)Once in the cafe, you choose from a comprehensive menu of meals and snacks with additional items on the specials board. There's no rush to order and you probably have noticed on the way into the cafe, a display of sweet dishes all belonging to the "must eat me" category. I could have quite happily sampled everyone!Great coffee/tea/ cold drinks and some of the most friendly staff around. It really is a pleasure eating here in a more or less mobile free zone!Unfortunately, living in South East Asia does limit our opportunities to visit Country Harvest but we have the excellent memories of past visits and the eager anticipation of future ones.

We were staying just up the road in a cottage and popped in here to have a quick look on the way back. We came out with an enormous slice of Lemon Meringue Pie and an equally large piece of date and apricot slice. Delicious and with the plan to return the next day for lunch. We were not disappointed. Service, cleanliness and food exceeded our expectations. My husband had the Cumberland sausages in a Giant Yorkshire Pud and I had a beautiful piece of quiche and salad. We had a good wander around after and bought a few treats to take back to the cottage for tea! All the food is made from locally sourced products where possible and the actual farm shop is well stocked with really anything you’d need food wise. Possibly a little more pricey than a supermarket but hey, you’d expect that and the quality is first class. Anything from fresh meat, veg, dairy and baking.
