Cote Brasserie - Norwich in Norwich

For me, the best Sunday lunch in Norwich. One of the few chains restaurants that I really like. Whenever I am in Norwich, I always come here for Sunday lunch. The front of house staff are always welcoming and the food consistently good. What more do you want? The wine flight is a good recent innovation. The only problem is deciding what main course to chose.

We had a delicious lunch - everything was really flavoursome, and nice and hot. Friendly service from the moment we walked in the door and a good atmosphere. Glad we found you, we will be back!

Pre covid my fave place. Never dreamt it could have gone down hill so much, even the previously lovely toilets smelt like a dog kennel. The Sunday roast set lunch was awful couldn’t even cut the beef, no dauphinaise, creamed spinach tasted just of pepper not creamed again I’ve eaten that since it first opened. Waitress wasn’t bothered all in all an awful experience

A large group arrived for s business meal and we were expertly served and all staff very helpful and professional. Delicious dishes

We visited two days in a row. Food and service was very good. A little expensive but I loved my chicken dish. I must say the toilets are extremely cold.

Have visited the bistro many times and enjoyed the meals. Sunday was very disappointing the smoked salmon starter was without any obvious sign of salmon but was mashed potato and white fish. Our main course of tarteflette lux was just sliced potatoes in a cheese sauce without any lardons or onion. As usual the staff were very pleasant. Feel rather let down.

Lovely service but could not be further from a French bistro if you tried. Fish parmentier was hot but 4 prawns, some less than cooked onion and three or four minute scraps of fish with no bechemel and an unbalanced portion of potato really did not do it for me. The minute steak frites was grey,cold and unappetising. I was embarrassed for my guest. For my part it is not about the price but about expecting something that in taste and presentation emulates more closely French cuisine rather than poorly cooked home food.

The place (because the name was nothing saying to me) was chosen quite randomly during the walk and it was an excellent choice…fantastic onion soup. Great service. Cozy inside. Quite occupied did not mean long waits for order. I will definitely come back here to discover more dishes on the menu.

I’ve been here a few times now, every meal I’ve had has been fantastic. The food really is delicious. This weekend I tried the steak and it was one of the best steaks I’ve tasted, cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and the staff are all really attentive and welcoming Will be back again soon

So dissatisfied with the food we got from cote brasserie Norwich today. Ordered boeuf bourguignon, had this before, was happy with the food. This time the food came with no to very little sauce, we asked for more sauce, we got bisto to add to the boeuf bourguignon, so disappointed. We know how to cook boeuf bourguignon with red wine Not bisto. This is not what we expected from a good restaurant. We come here for lunch regularly, won’t be eating there again 😡

Late lunch with friends. Absolutely lovely restaurant. Great choice on menu, all sounded delicious. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Drinks came out fast and the food once ordered was also served quickly and hot. Atmosphere was was relaxed and felt elegant. Thanks for a lovely lunch!

Very friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts are excellent. Great variety of options available and the coffee was perfect. Value for money and there are even newspapers available to read. Reminds me of Parisian bistros - unassuming, excellent service, relaxing and customer focused.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here, with very tasty dishes, duck a l' orange, sea bream and steak. The starters were also great and the service friendly and efficient. We can't wait to return

Cote has always been a favourite of mine having lived in York and frequently visited the branch there. The Norwich branch doesn’t disappoint, with friendly and attentive staff and great service. The food is great, tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. The Prix Fixe menu is a definite must on weekdays before 7pm; such a bargain! We would definitely recommend!

The best thing about Cote is the unparalleled service. The food was good but my steak was a little tough and I had to leave most of it. The waiter asked if it was ok and I told her. When the bill came they deducted that course and the dessert I had. Such good service…we will be returning.

My boyfriend and I booked a table to go there before we went onto the theatre. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and also the red wine was very palatable. Almond Cake was really lovely with raspberries and ice cream. A lovely evening. Definitely be going back soon.

An interesting mixed bag here for me today. Context.... Movable feast... where dozens of people descend on a venue for a starter, or a main, or a desert. Let's start with the service....very good. all of the waiting staff were genuinely interested in making our stay is good. Natalie is awsome... give her a bonus. Soufle for starter. it was OK. not particularly light, volumous or a taste extravaganza. cheeky little pot of sauce was OK. 660ml of Kronenbourg was north of £7 (really no need for that price in Nch) Summary.... I assume the quality was diminished to cater for the larger numbers of customers at one time. But on my experience.... too expensive for the food and beer for the quality. Staff are great.

Excellent food, friendly attentive service at a reasonable price. The whole experience recreated eating in any Restaurant in France from Onion Soup, Steak Tartare, Mussels, Minute Steak and an signatiresweets created the perfect French Dining Experience

Sunday 10 September 2023 (evening dinner) The meal was cooked perfectly and was extremely tasty. The restaurant setting was lovely and cozy, which made a perfect setting for our evening dinner. We loved it. My wife ordered Confit Pork Belly & I had Steak Frites (Truffle coated fries) very yummy. Both meals were superb :) Our waitress "Jee" (Jessica) was just Fantastic - Polite, Friendly and a true Professional. With attention to detail without any fuss, Jee really made our evening very enjoyable. A real talent and credit to your Restaurant. Your waiter Ben (very cool Black & Red hair) was also first class and took care of us very well. Great team work with Jee. Another great meal enjoyed at Còte. As always perfect greeting and service. My partner's Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, french onion soup delicious, twice baked cheese souffle was served perfectly, salmon fish cake starter was so good. All together it was one of best ever meals at Còte, saying that, we have never had a reason to complain over the years of eating there. Thank you everyone.

We were visiting Norwich where a friend I had not seen for years lives. He took us to his favourite restaurant which was Cote. The food and wine were excellent so we took other friends there later. I had french onion soup and Beef Bourguignon om both occasions. It is a little bit expensive but a special treat

After visiting the Bury St Edmunds restaurant, we wanted to see if the experience was as good in the Norwich restaurant. It was ! I really like the menus on offer especially the lunch fix price menus. The portions are relatively small but more than adequate for lunch & the portion size allows you to have the three corses on offer ! This restaurant offers outstanding value for money and quality of food.

The food was good but not very well presented. The staff were polite but not very engaging. Toilets could be smarter. Overall it was okay but the weakest of the 5 restaurants we have eaten at whilst in Norwich.

Nice place, staff pleasant but felt like they were unhappy. Good wait time on food, portions small. There needs to be done URGENT attenuators the ladies toilets seats, both are broken , health and safety issue and not nice to use .

I’ve reviewed this place a few times before but each occasion it never fails to impress. I'd not been for a while and good to see the same great standards. A special mention for Ben who was a delightful host tonight, personable and made sure everything was spot on. Great value for money, especially if you’re an early diner taking advantage of their fixed price menu. The food is excellent and a really good choice. It attracts the more mature crowd so whilst it’s a bustling busy restaurant it’s never rowdy. The perfect place for any occasion! We’ll be back time and time again as this place always gets it right!

It was my first time visiting Cote Brasserie with my partner as we do not live locally - and it absolutely did not disappoint! The atmosphere was wonderful from the moment that we walked in, we were greeted so politely and the décor of the restaurant is classic (and smells incredible). We had starters, mains, and the most delicious dessert I think I have ever had! The cocktails were also super fresh and tasty. The waiters and waitresses and their lovely attitude are also a credit to this restaurant. Will absolutely be returning - keep doing what you're doing team! :-)

Went with friends for a pre Theatre meal early Saturday evening. Although the restaurant was extremely busy the food and service were both excellent. Can recommend.
