Beautiful restaurant, delicious meals, our first visit but we will be back.

Definitely more like pub food than bistro. Staff: We received no warm welcome on arrival. Getting service was very difficult, and we had to shout to passing waiters to be seen. Menu: There is very little that's healthy on the menu. Food: Delivered cold on cold plates. Dessert had been sitting ready to be served for long enough for ice cream to melt and pastry to go soggy. Not terrible but not what I'd experienced at other branches.

A great place to eat in Cirencester with very helpful Staff and an imaginative Menu....!

On arrival, we were given a choice of table, including a street-facing window one. This would have been a perfect place to people watch, however, it was such a grey and rainy day that we decided to have a table in the heart of the restaurant. We were given an appropriate amount of time to browse the different menus including the prix-fixed menu and the specials. Our starters - crab Maison and Toulouse sausage - were served quickly. The crab was absolutely delicious, a real taste of the sea in your mouth. The Toulouse sausage was rich and rustic. Following on from this, mains were moules frites and ribeye steak with frites. The moules were divine in a beautiful creamy wine and garlic sauce. The ribeye was cooked perfectly rare as requested. With no room for dessert, the bill was just over £88 including 10% service charge (service was excellent) for two starters, two mains, two glasses of wine, one non-alcoholic cocktail and one coffee. Will definitely be revisiting! Update: Another wonderful meal. For the table, baked cambert and sourdough bread with olives. Cambert was very mild tasting and not very gooey so that was quite disappointing. Breton chicken gratin was cooked very well in a very good sauce. Moules were very good, all cooked very well. Overall, another great experience.

The food here was really tasty, everyone on our table was happy with what they ordered. There was a good range of food. What stood out though was the service from our waitress, who calmly coped with our demanding table of 8, and served with a smile! Would definitely come back again.

A wonderful birthday evening at Côte. The staff were very attentive, and the food was excellent. Definitely recommend, and definitely want to come back. The service was just excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and after our food the manager had bought us over a dessert platter for my partners birthday. It's little touches like this that make us want to return and really made our experience. Very good!!

This has to be my favourite Côte! I was celebrating a little achievement last night and you all made it feel so special. The food was excellent — the new rainbow crudités and warm tomato salad are delicious additions — and it always feels like a treat coming to you, but last night you were all on form. Thank you!

We had an excellent evening meal earlier this week. Good greeting and service from the start to the end of the meal. I had chicken and my husband had pork belly after a soup starter. Both meals were beautiful. Although it was a Monday evening it was quite busy and had a good atmosphere. When we return to Cirencester we will definitely revisit!

Just a lovely place A bit pricey but you pay for quality

Food overall was pretty good, not outstanding but good. The service, however, was poor. We were greeted by a young guy who clearly didn't want to be there. Drinks just dumped on the table, and no interest in talking or going through the menu, nothing. Everytine we looked up he was on his mobile phone. Order for food consequently went through to the kitchen wrong and one of the dishes arrived incorrect. They did put this right, but only after us chasing for the replacement. They were more interested in giving us the bill and going home. Would not return due to the poor service here. There are many other options around.

Generally good. Couple of things could be better. Forgot the garlic bread. Chocolate fondant came with Strawberry Ice cream not Vanilla. Yuk and not as described.

Went here for a Mother’s Day dinner and was really delighted by the food, atmosphere and staff! Will definitely be back, thank you! 😄

Our lunch was on Mothers Day, with 4 generations in attendance, and bearing in mind how extremely busy it was everything about the food and service was great. All staff were doing a fantastic job under huge pressure working together as a team throughout, well done and another big thank you to all!

Despite being very busy our welcome was bright and genuine and the service throughout excellent. Hats off to the Chef - the dishes were very flavoursome. We had the 2 course fixed price lunch menu.

Excellent food, service and general friendliness. We first visited a few weeks back when in Cirencester and another (seemingly empty tapas bar) nearby said they couldn't accommodate us both. We had dinner that night and came back the following. Both times everyone and everything was excellent. We decided to visit for my birthday and the place was very busy but the usual standards were there albeit service was a little slow. A busy, bustling restaurant is a good sign and I personally would recommend it and it will be a place we frequent.

Great evening.. thanks to the staff.. especially Tiff.. as for the food.. exceptional.. we had the sharer steak.. melt in the mouth .. terrific.. we'll done all.. Will definitely be going back....

We had a great lunch, tasty and well presented. Our waitress Bea was attentive and lovely which made the experience even more enjoyable. We always come back!

This was our first visit here, to this particular location, we often go to your branch at Gloucester Quays for breakfast & have excellent service & food there. Our experience here did not disappoint. The staff from the moment we entered were polite& helpful. Lovely ambiance. We ordered hot drinks which were delicious & the French toast & a pastry which were also phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back!

Much larger than it looks from outside. Plenty of room, plenty of friendly staff and great food served efficiently. Really nice mocktails and authentic french beers. The chicken gratin was delicious. The whole experience was reasonable value for money. I wish all branches were this well run

Such a wonderful atmosphere, staff are so friendly and helpful, had a luvly waiter, Jamie,,who was very knowledgeable about the wines on the extensive wine list, and actually went the extra mile and sorted out, my order when I ordered the wrong wine, but Jamie quickly and quietly sorted my mistake out, such kindness from an excellent waiter, thankyou again Jamie, the food was gorgeous and so tasty, will definitely recommend and do a return visit very soon,,

I enjoyed my work lunch here last week. Vegan and vegetarian options were not many. But I still enjoyed the mushroom vegan option and French onion soup. Service and adapting to my allergy requirements was commendable. Portion size off the starters could be increased to two fishcakes possibly for my colleagues who had salmon fish cake as their starter. Otherwise an overall pleasant experience.

I'm a huge fan of cote and love french food. It's great to have some quality french food at a reasonable price point near home with a authentic look, feel and service experience... But the disassembled beef bourguignon is a travesty and an offence to french cooking.

This has been my Mother’s favourite place to eat in Cirencester for many years and she and my father have been many times, often with friends too. She chose to have a family lunch there to celebrate her 90th birthday. I mentioned this on the online reservation form (since they specifically ask you if you’re celebrating a particular occasion). However, on the day, no member of staff said a word about it. We were not expecting anything special but a “happy birthday” would have gone a long way to make a very elderly lady extra happy on her special day. She now feels that her business over many years is totally unappreciated. I expect they will just say they were too busy but that really isn’t good enough. Oh and after the lunch, I had a “how did we do”? email from Côte, on which I mentioned the above. No response, of course.

Visited there Dec 9th with friends were made very welcome by staff. Were shown to our table.ordered the food and arrived piping hot all 8 of us together.we were not rushed,main meals arrived again piping hot all together. Overall a great venue all round,food atmosphere,staff. PS on a personal note I had there one of THE best rib-eye steaks I have ever had cooked wonderfully. Will defo go again. We ate here as a group of 7, everyone ordered from the fixed menu but I ordered a sirloin steak from the a la carte menu, I have eaten here on numerous occasions since they first opened and often have the sirloin steak, was very disappointed and mentioned to the waiter serving us I thought it was a minute steak rather than a sirloin but he did nothing about it, the sirloins are usually pretty thick and for £22.95 this was pretty poor, our bill was over £300. Will not be returning in a hurry

Our booking was at 1.00pm and our main course did not arrive until 2.20 pm. Pre-made fish pies only needed to be put in the microwave and the pork was decidedly uninteresting. Embarrassing when we were inviting friends.

Had a reservation at 7:30. Arrived slightly early and was sat by the front window in a quieter area which was nice. Food tasty but expect small portions, we had 3 courses despite this my partner was still hungry upon leaving. Lots of staff on but service was extremely slow, waited 40 odd minutes for mains. My biggest disappointment was that they add a “OPTIONAL” 10% service charge. I personally do not like when restaurants automatically add this to your bill - if I wanted to leave a tip I would. So upon receiving bill I asked for this “OPTIONAL” charge to be removed however was met with utter hostility from the server. Asking why I wanted to remove it, explained i do not like it automatically being added. She made us extremely uncomfortable and spoilt what was a nice evening, won’t be returning. Need to train staff on how to treat customers. To add this lady must have been either a supervisor or manager as she wasn’t in server attire. I was utterly applaud how she spoke to us and made us feel.

We had limited time so emailed menu choice for 10 people. We had starters and main courses. The service was excellent and very efficient. The food was gorgeous as ever. Huge thank you to all the staff

Totally delicious food. The gluten free selection is really good and I had a lovely cheese souffle and fish pie. Good value food and somewhere a little more special for a meal out.

It’s a real shame to have to say so, but both quality and value here have dropped considerably. The Breton fish stew was watery and overall not great. The burger was okay….but SEVENTEEN POUNDS! Sorry - nowhere even close to being good enough to justify nearly £20 for a burger and tiny tub of undercooked fries. Starters were a bit better. Warm beetroot salad, and croquettes, were both nice. Ambience is nice enough, but all in all - simply not worth it anymore. We won’t be back to what used to be a reliable and consistently good value place. What a shame.

The Chef cooked our Cote du Beouf Perfectly, this Cote is the standard we use to rate the other Cote's we have visited around the South, it is still our number 1. Additionally to this the restaurant is stunningly placed in a beautiful hideaway adding to the whole stunning experience, with truly exceptional food. Finally the staff are willing to engage with you, or just let you enjoy your romantic meal with your other half, they are really proficient at gauging when to approach. It's the total perfect package if you want to treat you and your loved ones, Food, Staff, Location, is just outstanding.

Mediocre food, mushroom quiche had no mushrooms, frites were clearly the end of the batch, misshaped and solid. Cold beer offered with hot glass straight out of the dishwasher showed the staff either didn’t know about service or didn’t care.

Food was quite good once it arrived. But waiting over 45 minutes when 2 other adjacent tables who arrived and ordered well after us being served much sooner is not. No checking on us, no apology. No tip.

12.5% service charge is a turn off. There are tables and chairs outside but alas, across the narrow street a large extractor fan is fixed to the building which is very noisy.

It was a perfect lunchtime experience, my husband and I had the 2 course lunchtime special and it was all delicious and good value, served by cheerful, competent and pleasant staff.

Food is delicious, well priced. Cocktails tasty. Lovely atmosphere and conservatory area. We also tried cote at home and the food was equally great and even better value! Would definitely recommend for both a date night out as well as in!

A bustling and somewhat noisy atmosphere which suits some but not the place to come for a quiet meal, Food is good albeit small portions but the service is excellent and very attentive. Horses for courses I guess and entirely depends of which you prefer.

We often use Cote as a place to meet for lunch, whether or not we have something to celebrate. But whatever the reason for our visit, a trip to Cote always feels special.

We had a lovely experience at Cote in Cirencester. The food was amazing, and it arrived promptly. The service was top-notch, and I must give a special shout-out to Egor – he provided outstanding service throughout our visit. The combination of delicious food and excellent service made our time at Cote truly memorable.
