Cote Brasserie in Basingstoke and Deane

Delicious food. Beautiful presentation. We brought my 96 mobility impaired mum who treated like a Queen by the charming staff . Everyone was friendly, kind and attentive. Also had one party member who is Gluten intolerant and their team were incredibly attentive to him too.

Felt relaxed and enjoyed the experience of dining here for a celebration. Couldn't fault the service received at all. Staff were polite, welcoming and attentive.

First time in a Cote Basingstoke, took the family out for a easter dinner and we had an amazing time. service was great, food was delicious. Thank you, we will be back.

Came in as a party of 3 just before noon on a Saturday. Service was fine, food was very nice. Minor issue that we weren't given brunch menus so assumed they weren't doing brunch but later saw lots of brunch dishes coming out. Ended up going for the french onion soup and pork belly. Both delicious though.

First visit and wish I had done so earlier. Good variety of choices on menu and staff very attentive. Looking forward to our next visit

We love visiting this restaurant. When we went on Mother’s Day, we were greeted warmly. We received amazing service from Julia and Panchali - nothing seemed too much trouble. They were even able to accommodate a side order of mushrooms, even though it’s normally only on the breakfast menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, as always. 10 out of 10!

Went before a comedy show. Was very busy but just about made it out on time. Welcome was great and all front of house staff welcoming. Food was well cooked and good. Free cocktail helped. Steak and Boeuf Bourguinon were particularly good.

It was a lovely friends’ lunch experience. Just the two of us. The table could have been a bit larger than the table for two. It did feel a bit cramped. We did have to ask to be given more time to choose from the menu. The restaurant was in no way very busy so we took advantage of a quality and leisurely lunch. Overall, a very lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Despite a a 10pm booking, the service and food was excellent, we even had desserts. Cote was one of the only restaurants in Basingstoke to accept a 10pm booking,

My first visit to Cote Basingstoke. Booked it for mothers day and wasnt disappointed. I had the Duck Liver Parfait which was really nice and the Wife and kids shared a starter board. Kids meals were good vale ay 7.50 for 2 courses or 9.50 for 3. My burger was excellent and my wifes Tuna Nicoise got the thumbs up. The service was excellent and the food came out pretty quick. Very positive experience and happy to recommend. ************************************

Thank you for the great service and food once again! I've visited this location several times and was never disappointed. I arrived 8 minutes later and the team was very accommodating with my time schedule since I had another engagement after. Food was delicious and the service was brilliant as usual.

We stopped by for Saturday lunch quite by accident as the restaurant we originally wanted to eat in was fully booked. We are so glad we did! We received excellent service from our waitresses, and their knowledge of the ingredients in our food was good. The vegan bourguignon was amazing, perfectly cooked and well presented. The ambience and service were spot on and we look forward to a return visit.

Lovely clean surroundings with friendly knowledgeable staff. The menu should have something for everyone and, as treat as it is a tad expensive, you can sit back and enjoy a really relaxing meal.

Great first impressions! What an amazing meal we had can’t be faulted with either the food or the service. The cheese soufflé & pork belly confit was mouth watering and Mandeline were so soft and moist!

Cote in Basingstoke is one of my favourite restaurants. My partner and I would usually pop in for special occasions like Christmas, Valentine’s Day etc for great service, stylish interior design and of course delicious food. My favourite dish is fish stew, and the staff would always carefully exclude prawns for me as I have an allergy to shellfish. I am very grateful that Cote could manage with flexibility in dishes for me, which indicates that all the dishes are cooked on the spot rather than pre-made. That is one of the reasons I always feel the experience with Cote is worth of money.

A busy late Saturday afternoon when we visited but greeted and seated promptly. My usual Calamari starter did not disappoint, generous portion, hot and crisp. My partner's beetroot salad was equally well received. My moules mariniere was good but a few too many baby moules, i.e tiny, rather have fewer but plumper ones. My partner chose poulet gratinee but instead of pommes dauphinoise, was served frites but this was quickly remedied with an apology. No time for desserts as we were going to the Anvil but overall food and service very good. A plus point was the complimentary cocktails from an online promotion through which we booked, but we did have to ask for these even though they showed on our booking.

We visited as a party of 4 for my Mums birthday . The food, service and ambiance were excellent and the staff went out of their way to make my mums birthday special. Great menu choice too.

Everything was perfect staff very friendly and food was presented very well and tasty.

Basingstoke team are always super friendly and very welcoming whenever we visit, great breakfasts too.

Went during a quiet time but received great service, food served quickly and tasted great. Reasonable value for money. Had steak fries with side of veg and espresso. Only comment is service charge automatically added, would prefer to choose, though you can ask to remove. I think the team deserved it so left it on, just like the choice. Highly recommend for a quality meal at a fair price. Will return if I'm ever in area again and will look out for other branches.

Always enjoy the food in Còte as am a sucker for French cuisine and the prices and portions are usually sensible. Basingstoke is particularly nicely staffed too.

What a wonderful dining experience. The lovely staff were excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. Cote Basingstoke is now my most loved restaurant. I highly recommend it. Try the chicken liver parfait starter. Stupendous!

We came here in December 2022 and had an amazing time - straight 5 stars. We had booked for our Anniversary and had a great meal with brilliant service. Staff really looked after us and made us feel very special which we didn't expect. We thought it was so good we came again for our anniversary December 2023 - what a mistake. We booked about 2 months in advance, and got seated on a very small table out on a main path that I kept getting banged into as people went by. We mostly got forgotten about, with walk-ins getting large booths (2 people to a four seat booth) with more space, whilst we struggled with our small table having wine and appetisers squished together. We got hurried through the food, which, although good, just was not the same. We felt not looked after at all and felt staff wanted us to hurry up and leave, which was such a shame compared to 2022. We felt really unwelcome for a special occasion and it really soured Cote for me. I won't return for special occasions again, if at all. Real shame.

It's absolutely one of the best restaurants in Basingstoke. It's definitely my favourite now. I highly recommend it.

Myself, wife and kids went here for lunch and the food was brilliant. Service was too. Professional, polite, good with the kids. Food was fantastic and will definitely be returning.

I appreciate Chloe's exceptional service at Cote. Despite not booking breakfast for our party of 12, she handled everything with efficiency and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Her attentiveness and professionalism were noteworthy, contributing to a positive experience.

Pre booked party for Office lunch, menu choices submitted in advance and all meals (14) came out together and service top drawer from the Team. I opted for calamari and rib eye steak, absolutely spot on and very tasty, with steak cooked medium as requested and delivered piping hot, can’t knock portion size either. All meals looked great and everyone enjoyed what they had. Great venue and worth every penny. Thanks to all the Team for a great experience.

Booked a table a few weeks ago and arrived at 5:15. Shown to a lovely quiet booth as requested and soon after Alexandra, who I believe was the manager, introduced herself and explained the menus on offer. Our server for the evening was the lovely Anastasia, who was friendly, efficient and professional throughout. The food was great and full of flavour and all 3 of us loved our dishes and finished the lot. Many thanks Alexandra for your help, which was much appreciated and Anastasia…….SLAVA UKRAINI. Worst experience I have ever had for a premium breakfast. I had to explain over 4 times for a simple dish and it was wrong everytime. The manager was extremely rude and sarcastic because she was trying her best to defend her staff instead of trying to resolve a simple problem. Never again, good cook tho!

Had a lovely lunch here on Sunday, chose from the Christmas special menu which was really good. Really good food, service excellent and a lovely atmosphere.

We always find the experience to be the best in Basingstoke, and not the most expensive. So enjoyable and the food is always of such a high standard.

Had a meal with several friends in Cote Basingstoke. It was a great evening. The restaurant was full but didn't feel cramped even though we were a big group. The food was gorgeous. The highlight for me was the Calamari starter. Very generous portion for a starter. Very reasonably priced also. Will definitely go back the next time we're in Basingstoke...

It was amazing, the perfect place to celebrate my engagement with my partner, and was taken good care of by all the staff especially our waiter Kevin who took looking after us above and beyond, would definitely go again with the experience me and my fiance got while we were there today

Quick meal before the theatre. Very good service and food that was also good. Two chicken dishes, one beef and one fish pie. All very tasty. It’s not fine dining but a great place for a fairly quick dinner. Wine ok too. 😁

We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff and given a choice of tables, our order was taken quickly and our drinks and breakfast was brought out very quickly and we had a great breakfast

Staff was very friendly & accommodating; however, this could not offset the rather mediocre interpretation of a French restaurant. The atmosphere was not authentic. The food, while more interesting than your standard corner pub, was not as exceptional as it wanted to be. Given the price, an overall okay experience.

We didn’t have a booking but Cote kindly accommodated our little group of 4. There were many menus. The staff were all polite and friendly, no ordering hiccups and the food and drinks were delicious. Nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Only down side were the ladies toilets. There was a sanitary towel bin with a broken lid and a bit of a mouldy and dank smell.

Sat 21st Oct, table of 7, 5 kids for a bday meal and 2 adults. Very basic typically french tasty meal, fab waitresses. Would highly recommend.

The service and staff were friendly, but when we said we wanted to pay, we had to wait a very long time till the lady came back to take our payment, it was defenitely too long. (That's the reason why I give 4stars) But the food was absolutely delicious ( food was 10/10). We will definitely go back there

Had such a lovely time for a birthday meal this evening. The food was perfect. The service and staff were so friendly, accommodating and attentive that they went the extra mile to make sure our requests were actioned even in a packed Friday night restaurant. It is a shame the Sassy Sidecar cocktails are only served for a limited time because they are so delicious! I’m glad they kept the classic Côté interior here and haven’t changed it to the newer blue and cream, flowery styling, seen in some restaurants which I personally am not a fan of.

Not been for some time following a disappointing last visit but went on Sunday and had an exceptionally good meal, food and service were spot on, hank you to Chloe our waitress simply the best

Do my regular catch-ups with my colleague and service and food is always fresh and delicious. I am super happy that it’s one of the few places where I can have Pernod! Each time the Host and the waiters make sure we get exceptional service! Feels like home.

Wonderful meal out celebrating a friends birthday. A lunchtime party with great company and food. I haven’t been before but their set lunchtime menu was lovely with a selection of choices.

Everything was perfect. We were very pleased with all aspects of our visit. Prices were reasonable, choice was huge, service was good and all the drinks and food tasted great. Can't wait to be back again.

Popped in for a late lunch, the food was fantastic. We could tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality. In fact the only thing better than the food was the excellent service and attention to detail from our waitress Chloe. Nothing was too much trouble, the best customer service we’ve had in recent history. Definitely will return.

Went with family for a celebration. At first, all was fine, but we waited over an hour and a half between our appetizer and mains. Moms at a nearby table had too much to drink and their children were flinging french fries at each other. My fish parmentier was bland and had fish bones in it. “The chef says sometimes that happens.” French fries are better at McDonald’s. Staff was apologetic at the end. Will not be returning.

It was my birthday and I felt very special during the visit. Lovely free glass of bubbly was a very special touch. Food and service was amazing. Can't fault anything will be back again!

I came here for a Friday night dinner for a catch up with a friend. Our food was spot on & the service was even better! It’s easy to remember to write a bad review but not enough people write good ones! Well done Cote Basingstoke. I had a fantastic night. Apologies I didn't get any names but helping me choose my wine was a nice touch. Thank you! X

We came in for dinner . We had the tomato soup which was amazing and the muscles . Both meals were delicious. However the service was not so good. The manger was good but the server was not on form. We didn’t get a drinks order , no check back even after receiving a cold steak and sending it back. No clearing plates away and had to get up to ask for the bill. Then go up to bar to pay . Even after 10 mins of being sat waiting to pay our plates we’re still there. Shame as this place is normally great . But left very disappointed:(

We are visiting from the US so we cannot return very soon. Definitely will when we return to the UK. Polina looked after us very well. Mussels were excellent, sea bass was very tasty. Very good value.

My partner fancied a champagne breakfast at our favourite brasserie in lieu of her birthday later this week. We didn't book as usual but were welcomed and seated without fuss on a late Sunday morning. I chose the eggs Benedict We waited a little longer than usual but that was fine but disappointingly my breakfast was cold as was the plate. Maybe it had been on the pass too long. I ate it anyway as I don't like to complain but mentioned it to the waitress at her satisfaction check. She apologised but no gesture was made with the final bill. Apart from that, everything was fine, my partner loved her salmon brunch (£19.95). So sadly I've dropped a star in my review. Service was friendly as usual

Always good at Cote and had a lovely pre-show dinner of fillet, veggies and a French Rose. Fun ambience with Rose Loveday adding a bit of theatre with her sunny smile and personality and birthday make up and tiara. She made our evening.

Service was briliant atmosphere great coffee orange juice lovely.poached eggs on eggs benedict just a little over done. I had a 1/3 of an inch hard yollk when I cut into it.

We booked for father's day as my father in law is coelica. The separate gluten free menu was comprehensive and offered loads of variety. For once having a family meal did not feel like he was left out or had to do wîthout. The service was great and so was the food. Very happy

Cote restaurants are always reliable for good and staff, but Basingstoke on this occasion went above and beyond. We had a lovely meal and were treated incredibly well. Our food had a slight (we barely noticed) delay due to not meeting the chiefs standards, but this was dealt with great communication and at the end of the evening we were presented with a complementary bottle of wine.

Went for breakfast. I ordered the avocado on toast and when the waiting staff came to ask how the food was, I questioned where the chilli was on my breakfast and I was told there wasn’t any but she could get me chilli flakes…the menu clearly states it has chilli, so disappointing I was lied to and the person didn’t know the menu or bother to check. Food was also only also like warm and my poached eggs over cooked! Tea was very good.

A birthday treat for me today at our favourite chain restaurant. Lured in by an online offer of complimentary Cremant Bourgogne for me and my 2 guests. Starters of Salad Rachel, Calamari and Crab Maison, all rated excellent. My main of Poulet Breton was up to its usual standard, my partner enthused about her Quiche Aux Champignons and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her burger. Desserts of strawberry creme brulee, cherry and almond Financier and a chocolate fondant finished off an excellent meal on a Saturday lunchtime outside in the sunshine on the terrace. All this plus a couple of extras, just about the £100 mark which represents very good value for food of this quality for 3 people. Service was efficient with friendly and engaging staff, a nice touch was the "happy birthday" piped with chocolate on my dessert plate. I have reviewed this restaurant several times because it's actually very good!

Fast, friendly, efficient service. Food was excellent: French Onion Soup, shared Fougasse, Steak Frites and Creme Caramel (heaven on a plate!) Will definitely go back there when we have occasion to revisit Basingstoke.

Really nice light light evening meal on our way home from London but nearly three time as expensive as a very nice lunch we had right by Trafalgar Square. Not that the prices here were at all excessive, I was just surprised by how cheap it was at the place in central London...

Booked a lunch as we were visiting the town to view properties for our daughter. We were asked if we were celebrating anything special and we just mentioned that we were here viewing houses and thought we had found one. The waitresses then brought a box of chocolates and a card to give to my daughter which completely blew us away. The food and service were all very good, but this extra touch amazed us all

Food and Atmosphere were amazing, but the real wonder was the fact the waitress heard we were celebrating the buying of a house, and went over to a local shop to get myself and my partner a card and a box of chocolates. Never before have I ever had such an experience at a restaurant, and I will always come back. Thank you Aga and Akvile, you made our day

Saturday was our first time eating at this establishment. It was late morning and thought we would treat ourselves for a brunch for me my partner and our 8 month old daughter. We walked in and after a few minutes were greeted and shown to a table. Drink orders and food orders were taken within a reasonable amount of time but not to quick. We then had to wait nearly 30 mins for our drinks to be bought out ( just a coke and an orange juice) then another 30 mins for our eggs Benedict to arrive. When it arrived it looked pretty sad on the plate just two eggs dumped on top of two over done burnt buns. No Greenery no nice presentation. Extremely disappointed after waiting an hour. upon cutting in to the eggs they were extremely underdone with the whites of the eggs under cooked and just a sloppy mess. Most of the eggs had to be scraped to the side as I’m not happy to eat raw egg whites. The waitress did come round and ask if we wanted a replacement but we had already waiting an hour for that and could not wait any longer. We said we will just have the bill please. We were presented with the bill , the waiter came over to take it we handed him The cash and he said no we cannot pay with cash. Of this we should have been made aware when entering the restaurant and if this was the case we wouldn’t have proceeded to it here where honestly would have been the better option. He said he was going to get the manager . When we spoke to the manager she just waved us off and offered no change . We would not eat here ever again. This place portrays its is quite a posh nice eatery the food and service does not match up to this or the prices.
