Costa del Sol Tapas Bar and Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

Had an excellent dinner with friends as a group of six. The tapas was excellent. We ended up getting a second round of dishes of our favourites from the first round as we enjoyed them so much. I’ve recently been to a couple of tapas bars in Spain and this matched the best one there. Note that if you want to choose your paella you need to order two days in advance but they were offering chicken and chorizo paella as a tapas dish which was fine. Reasonable prices. We had loads of food (four courses) and wine and came in under £40 a head including tip. Really convenient location in Horley town centre near the railway station and bus services that run 24/7.

Really nice and good place, friendly and attentive employees, tapas are shareable so you can get two or more to share and try different plates at once. Food tasted amazing!!!!

Frozen prawns, bad service, you have to pre book paella (24 hour notice) shame as was once our favorite

These guys were amazing. They stayed open for us long after the kitchen should have closed after lunch. They accommodated without any problems two incredibly energetic and noisy kids, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended. Thank you!

We had booked a Xmas meal at a nearby establishment but they let us down last min but Costa del Sol saved the day promising us a table for 14 people on short notice. The food was amazing. Reasonable price. Staff friendly and professional. Atmosphere buzzy and relaxed. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Costa Del Sol, who accommodated a large group of us with half an hour notice when our venue let us down for a Christmas party. Marie who worked behind the bar was amazing

Someone recommended this restaurant, we were excited to try it, so we waited next door until it opened. Once it opened, we walked in, the host was extremely rude and sarcastic. She has very poor customer service, she made us feel unwelcome, her facial expressions said it all. Due to her poor behavior she ruined the experience, we left immediately. We traveled so far and to be treated the way she did is unacceptable.

Great food, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere (though a little loud when busy). 'Meñana meñana' service, but that's okay, it is Spanish after all!

Visited on night before our Gatwick flight. Was a great experience. Very nice food, eyes bigger than bellies, we got so stuffed. But super flavours, and a good selection of tapas. Rediscovered a fondness for sangria! Staff clearly very busy but very engaging once you could catch their attention. And very popular with the locals. Would deffo visit again.

Ok place might be very noisy if at a busy time. Food was not special and having been to Spain recently not on par. However size of portions especially chorizo was generous. I went late. Just think there are other options around that probably represent better value

Amazing place. Great authentic Spanish food. Service is the best part of the experience. There is a waiter from Belize who was so courteous and friendly that he made our evening (sorry, don't remember his name). The owner is so experienced and has the organisation to a tee. The restaurant itself can get a bit noisy.

You cannot find a place like this very often. It is our go to place for a lovely atmosphere, out of this world food, brilliant staff and above all great value for money. The owners and staff simply cannot not do enough. Thank you guys and girls. Xx

We booked a large table for a birthday party, they accommodated us well with no problems. The food was delicious spanish tapas, a good variety and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and on the ball. Overall a good experience.

Lovely food and great, personal, friendly service.

Have been three times now, and loved both experiences for a date night and as a larger group of 10. Food is good quality, really recommend the croquettes and paella and the wine list is large and well selected. Love that the table is yours for the night and a nice relaxed (Mediterranean) pace of service. A bonus when it's warm out to have the bi-fold doors open so can feel like your actually transported to sunnier climates. Keep an eye out for the specials that change frequently. 100% would recommend

Celebramos el día de la mujer allí, había una gran reserva de mujeres conmemorando este día. Comida exquisita, buena atención. Un creme brule maravilloso. La sangría dulce y fresquita. Pan de ajo y alioli muy sabrosos.

Always wonderful dishes and lovely staff

Food was hot but not nice. Very salty and clearly just fried from frozen. Squid was chewy and mushrooms had no taste. Not worth the £60 we paid.

I all ways come to costa de sole in Horley best restaurant in Horley the food is fantastic and the cocktails are amazing the workers are fantastic and there so funny and there's this one guy that pretends that the card machine is a phone so when you go to pay if you get hime it's the funniest thing 😂😂😂 I recommend this place to everyone.

Best cocktails in Horley good to go with your family and if it's your birthday don't worry bring in a birthday cake and they will come to your table and sing happy birthday. I came here on my son's birthday best birthday ever.

it is the best paella I ever ate 💖 Also they have a big menu with diferent options and so far is one of the best restaurants I have been. The food is with fresh ingredients, very tasty and the people are so lovely and caring. Best service as well. If I could, I would eat every day.

Absolutely beautiful! This was my wife and I's first stop on our honeymoon journey, and what a place! Service was lovely start to finish, food was reasonably priced and delicious and the manager/owner was happy to recommend a portion size. As much as we only had soft and Doom Bar bottled beer, their beer and wine selection is incredibly varied and clearly put together with care. Decor in the restaurant perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere, and even though it was a little quiet (Monday night) the music was at a great volume and complimented the style and authenticity of this restaurant. Thank you to the staff, a great start to our honeymoon! Muy Bueno!

Awesome weekend dinner with family

Hello paella!! Or should I say ¡Hola¡ This restaurant has done a wonderful job at making you feel like you are somewhere deep in the spainsh countryside. Very traditional spainsh menu, with hot and cold tapas, some main dishes and then... La paella. This you can order per person or for the table, by the table is really something to behold. My dad would like me to especially thank the staff, who were so kind and helpful that they made you feel like you were just at their house, joining them for dinner. They didn't let us order too much paella for the table, as we were having some tapas too. They are clearly a group of people who genuinely care about their food and their guests. Been there twice and already booked in to go again. ¡Salud!

We came here for a meal for my birthday and I'm really glad we picked this restaurant. It was a very busy night but they managed to squeeze us in and we enjoyed the fruity sangria and delicious paella between 4 of us. Highly recommended for a meal out, the atmosphere was that of a busy Spanish home and everyone was extremely friendly.

We shared six of the tapas; only one (the kidneys dish) was nice whilst the other five were either bland or unpleasant. The service and wine were good, but still a big disappointment overall.

Came here by accident as overnight at Gatwick. Sooooo bloody good. Tapas was authentic and fab, T bone steak was as good as it gets, fat rendered, salty crust, amazing flavour. For context we eat in central London and this place rocks. What a find.

Paella was not worth getting as they charge per portion so we had 3 portions shared between 4 people. The paella dish cost £65! Avoid the paella as it’s not worth the money you pay. Sangria is watered down too. Tapas was good, plenty of choice dishes, good atmosphere, great service from staff.

Second visit to this restaurant. Delicious 😋 food served with a big smile 😀. This time fish 🐟 with a superb 👌 sauce. The white house wine was from a very good quality. 👍 Living in Gran Canaria, I felt a little bit "back home" again. Well done 👏 guys. ❤

The food was excellent as always but considering the place was not heaving with customers when we were there the service on this occasion was a little on the slow side had to ask 3 times to get the bill paid.

Stayed in Harley overnight so we could leave from Gatwick early the next morning and found this lovely, classy restaurant with excellent food, prepared perfectly. So happy with our chance find.

Fantastic food, beautiful wine, amazing service and only 2 mins by train from Gatwick. We arrived at the Bloc hotel late as our train was delayed, all of the restaurants were closed (before security) except Costa or M&S - so a quick Google search led us to Horley. Thank goodness we did. We were thoroughly looked after by the very friendly and efficient staff. The tapas (prawns, calamari, albondingas, patatas bravas & mushrooms) were delicious and huge! We couldn't finish it all. The wine - a beautiful Rioja - was amazing. A fabulous recommendation by Vitor. Thank you. All in all, the best place in the area. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Brilliant restaurant traditional Spanish food. Second visit and will definitely make it a regular event. Visited with my handicapped son the staff were very good with him. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great restaurant with lovely waiters

If I could leave a lower review I would. Travelled over an hour arrived to eat at this establishment only to be greeted by a very rude and self entitled owner. Who arrogantly told me that she’s shutting early because she “worked too many hours yesterday”. We arrived at 10pm (an hour before the advertised closing time) despite this, she was extremely unaccommodating, rude and not empathetic in the slightest. I felt so disrespected; although we was in our right there was absolutely no reasoning with her. I wouldn’t recommend eating here if you have any self respect.

Hi! I first visited the restaurant a couple of months ago and everything was amazing. Had an opportunity to visit the restaurant again yesterday and the service that I would have already rated as 5 stars back then has gotten a lot better! Kindly friendly and really pleasant experience with all the staff members. Being out of the country that place always feels warm as going to dine at home with family. I also want to give my compliments to the chef that made my lamb cutlets yesterday at 6 pm. The best cutlets I have ever had in the UK!. That's coming from one chef to another!. Keep up the good work guys! ( I especially appreciate the cleanliness of the place as I know how important that is and a good job for keeping high standards even when it gets busy!). And to all the rest weekends it's best to reserve the table in advance as I missed out the opportunity to dine in before yesterday as it was a full house.

Super friendly staff and excellent food

We have been dining here for years (originally when it was Whyteleafe too), we always enjoy our meals and the paella is my favourite. Now we travel to Horley so we can still enjoy the fabulous food. See you soon hopefully.

Only 5 min drive from Gatwick North and a perfect spot for dinner if you stay the night before a flight. From walking in the door to leaving it was a fantastic meal. Warm, funny and attentive staff made it even more memorable. Olives (best tasting olives I've ever eaten) and bread are given whilst you peruse the incredible menu. One of our party opted for a whole seabass from the specials board and she said it was the best fish she had ever had. Another had a perfectly cooked steak. I had a stunning paella washed down with a lovely red wine. We can't wait to go back to try more of the tapas options. They really love their food here and it shows. Highly recommended.
