Costa Coffee - Old Swan in Liverpool

I was staying nearby and popped in here for a coffee each day. Staff were always lovely and friendly, cafe was impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend

The drinks tasted completely BLAND it couldn't be any worse to be honest, the service wasn't the best but not the worst either, the shop atmosphere is nice but very crammed and small, I don't think I'll visit this branch again

The barista was lovely and pleasant and made a fab hot chocolate...I've had ones previously where it's been luke warm but this was nice an warm with plenty of marshmallows and cream...just what you need on a miserable rainy afternoon

Decent atmosphere, shop was clean, service was a bit slow due to lack of staff, however, they are trying their hardest. The new baristas latte art is very good and shows great potential. Will come back.

I had bought a tropical mango bubble tea and it tasted like dog poo I couldn’t even finish it because it was that vile DO NOT GET THIS DRINK!!!!!

The dirtiest Costa coffee shop I’ve ever been in, the place had obviously not even been cleaned before opening time! Tables, windows and chairs absolutely filthy. Avoid

For 1 of the 4 Costa Coffees within half a mile of each other, this shop is still a good one. Parking is easy as it's located on a large retail park. However this does mean it gets very busy and the shop is surprisingly small for such a busy area so sitting in can be tricky. There are seats outside but, you know, it's winter lol. Drinks are delicious as usual and food is also very nice, but typically slightly overpriced for the food. Staff were extremely friendly and service was actually quite quick considering how busy it was.

I go in here a lot and always enjoy. Today I came in with my 2 year old daughter who asked them for pudding as toddler’s do and the barista Nikki brought over a gingerbread man for my daughter even checking to make sure it was vegan first as I had bought something vegan myself. Such a kind thing to do, thank you.

Thank you so much to the lovely lady and gentleman for today - they made sure my lost valuables were kept safe and returned to me. I can’t say thank you enough for your honesty. Service is so friendly and they go the extra mile.

Because it is Liverpool, the service could not be different, rude. the bathroom is disgusting. pregnant women can not use terrible! dirty tables.

In the middle of decorating but no one doing anything place was a shame had to get a cloth and wipe the table myself only 3 people in there

Only went in for two drinks and sit outside, was told there was only one table outside which was already taken although there was about fifty stacked up staff mustn’t have wanted to over tax themselves at closing time so had to sit inside, once I’d waded through the dirty cups and trays I managed to find enough space to ‘stick’ my cup down, was getting a bit of a refurb but everything in there looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time, tables, bases, mirrors etc, will be avoiding this one

Used to have really friendly staff but the last few visits Iv had moody staff serve me at the till. Shouting, what!!! Cos she couldn’t hear my order. Giving attitude the way she talks whilst serving, no customer service skills at all. Manager needs to rethink who they employ or train them in customer service skills. I don’t think the mystery shoppers would be happy with the service in this store that’s for sure!

Highly recommend the peach habiscus iced tea.

New staff in store,one quite sharp,aggressive in speech and manner,the other a bit clueless,bring back the nice staff that were here before or give these ones extra customer service training.

This a nice cosy Costa were you can watch the word go by. Great for meeting up for a chat. Plenty of shops around.

It's a nice little Costa in an old historic building. On a corner of a very busy intersection in the Old Swan, this Costa offers you some peace and quiet from the shoppers and local school kids.

Great idea having a choice of fresh sandwich (M & S) to go with hot drink. Well done Costa cos don't always want a toasted sandwich

I don’t understand how the orders can be wrong so many times. This week they forgot to add the coffee as requested and not deliver the food that was ordered too. I understand we can have bad days but this is becoming a regular occurrence. Does anyone qualify check orders?

Tables and sofas filthy, two items in a four item order were incorrect and dealt with a complaint (from another customer as we queued) terribly. Provided with dirty cutlery when our order was finally complete. Avoid.

I live in Old Swan so this is my local Costa, everytime I go in the stock is really low and if you want proper food rather than cakes there isn't much choice. You can sit outside as well as inside. The prices are pretty steep, £4 for a coffee.

Hot chocolate was cold, its meant to be table service at the moment when we had to take it back lad servinghad an attitude problem. When it was rectified we were told that apparently a bit of cream can make a HOT chocolate FREEZING COLD.

Staff are trying there best to keep everyone safe pity about some of there clientele that is going in.

This Costa is situated on a busy junction. There is no on street parking, so you have to park in nearby Aldi or Tesco car parks. I have been several times for a coffee but never found it to be the quiet, cosy place I am looking for. Visited during lockdown Friday 9th October 2020. All doors were open and the air conditioning was on - it was freezing, so did not stop. Went to McDonald's on Edge Lane were it was lovely and warm!

Pleasant enough experience. Could do with cleaning trays and tables a bit more often.

Love this Costa. Decent coffee, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, nice music and usually clean, tidy and comfy seats. Still think all the Costas need a little more autonomy, cheaper cakes and sandwiches (I very rarely if ever buy food in a Costa: too expensive!) and just something a little extra! That aside, the Costas are generally good, and the Old Swan is my fave. Give all the staff a pay rise as they all work very hard!

In Costa Egde lane most of the tables full of plates and cups no customers waiting to be served and the staff all stood behind till with phones for about 20 min and had to clear table myself. Bad customer care

Love costa and like they have an outside area staff always friendly and always up to costa franchise standards Nice to pop in and really like the fact costa always have Decaf available. Fast service , again like costa cajes and toasters and nice to have this available in this shopping area which is very run down and needs regeneration monies
