Literally the best book shop ever. The staff are soo friendly & the atmosphere is really wholesome. Also here is a photo of a book I recently bought from here🤗

Welcoming, great stock, knowledgeable staff and good selection of slightly left field board games too. Only gripe is, as a three storey building, locating what you're after is a little trickier, but having friendly staff helps on this front!

The food at the café was really good, and I liked that I could try a book whilst waiting for the food to be ready. There are a lot of books available, and it is easy to find what you want.

Best bookstore around here. Went to quite a few in the area but this one by-far had the largest range of books, spanning across 3 seperate floors. The atmosphere is wonderful and the café was extremely inviting to have a cup of coffee and read a new book. Only issue I personally had was how inconsistent the history section was on the top floor, other bookstores in the area had history split up by continent but they only had European and "General" which encompassed Asian, African, and Americas; most of which were in an odd order and made certain books harder to find.

One of the cosiest Waterstones I have been to. Located in a very nice building. Pretty staircase down the middle of the store. Plenty of book selection (obviously). Great variety of gifts, games, stationary and bits & bobs. Cafe W has a balcony overlooking the Promenade. The chocolate and banana cake was so good, as were the hot drinks. Scone was a little bit dry and crumbly (maybe because it was late in the afternoon?).

Waterstones is a great shop. They have a wide range of books for all ages and they have a good selection of novel gifts and cards as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth visiting

Clean, great hot coffee, and a slice of cake of the week. Worked from one of the tables in the booth with power towards the back. Atmosphere was busy low level noise, good for conversations and not distracting from work or reading as many were doing.

Yesterday I visited this fantastic library with my family. Fabulous offer of books, a charming space and a very pleasant and peaceful bar. It was a surprise to find a Portuguese girl called Filipa working there, very friendly and who took care of us very well. Congratulations

Fantastic straightforward purchase, very helpful staff member who was very professional polite and very helpful, all done with a smile and a little laughter. Excellent! All done in beautiful Cheltenham a better shopping experience!

It's easy to get around with disability, be it with crutches or wheelchair. It's spacious with lifts and has a coffee shop on 1st floor to look through books before you buy.

Just my favourite book shop not only books but games and other things

This is a superb bookshop. Considering the size of the town, we are very lucky. Everyone should support it and try to avoid the easy Amazon option.

Waterstones I think is one of the best book shops I have been to. They have a huge range of books for all ages covering a huge area of topics. I went in about a week ago with my brother to get them a book for school because they love to read and we found some great titles for them to read such as fantastic beasts and they also had some Harry Potter merchandise which will make great Christmas presents for family members. The staff were very helpful on the till and I will be coming back to buy more in the future. Thanks Waterstones for a great experience.

Beautiful shop with a huge selection of texts. The building has lots of little nooks and it feels quite magical! There's a nice Cafe too to break up the browsing. Definitely visit is you're passing.

Had book I was looking for. Had tried another competitor but they did not have it. I had a book token as a gift which they accept, many places dont. If you read this dont give a National book token, so limited where to spend, cant spend online.

Geweldig mooie en grote boekhandel in het centrum van Cheltenham. Ook het horecagedeelte is goed verzorgd en er is ook een terras aanwezig. Personeel is erg vriendelijk.

A good size Waterstones on multiple levels, most people will find what they want here, or discover something new. Always a fun shop to browse. There are toilets and a cafe too.

Lots of books, and friendly staff. Café looks good, but didn't try it. Only loses a star because signage is poor inside, and could so with a refurb as it's looking a little tired in places.

An excellent bookstore, beautiful building and over 3 floor has an incredible selection of reading material for all ages. Also has the benefit of a second floor cafe with balcony that is the perfect place to hide away for a day of study or work.

Visited the coffee shop. Slow service with only one person on duty. Coffee ok. Sausage and egg roll, cheese sandwich were nothing to write home about. Disappointed.
