Costa Coffee in Liverpool

Costa App reader at till has been out of order for a couple of months. Very annoying as I have free coffees that I cannot claim at this store Also, I have to save the receipt and get my 'Bean' points added at another store. Staff also annoyed as they have to take the complaints from other annoyed customers. A member of staff said technicians had been out, but didn't know how to fix it. Come on Costa, get your act together!

Great service and lovely airy space with easy parking. Making down only for complete lack of vegan cake despite many good options in the wider Costa universe.

Busy shop, pleasant and cheerful staff, the new sausage bap is awful 😞 tried ham & cheese toastie which was good quality👍

Costa points card wasn't working apparently been broke for a month or so .so couldn't get free coffee or points tables were not clean but staff were polite and nice .

we wanted to come and sit with our friends and the staff goes that we can’t stay unless we buy something and then our friend buys something and they say we all have to buy something and she says it’s because of new management and we ask for babycinos which are free and they tell us that we can’t unless we buy something. THIS IS COSTA IS VERY BAD STAFF PLEASE CHANGE OR I WILL COMPLAIN AGAIN! I WILL NEVER VOME BACK

Had a latte over ice w/ hazelnut syrup. Was quite tasty.

Waited 30 min to order and receive my order. My hot drink came cold. The till and the machines were dirty. Not nice place. I am sorry I visited.

I love this store as it is close to home and often go for a walk with my daughter for a frostino and cakes. Over the last few months it seems to have really gone down and the store isn't very clean and the toilets are disgusting the staff are run of their feet. Also we miss the lovely young man Ross who was a fantastic barista and was kind and friendly to the customers. I am fully aware who hard Helen and the team are working to run this branch but please bring back the lovely Ross to break up the all female team he did really brightened up my visits.

I see my brother once a year we pick this Costa because it is a nice place. Our only complaint is (nothing to do with Costa) trying to get out of the carpark

Coffees are fine, service reasonable but the restaurant is filthy. All the chairs are stained, tables often not cleared or wiped. Dark and gloomy at the back of the restaurant.

Plenty of space. Friendly staff but place is an absolute tip. I’ve been here twice and I’ve had to clean my table myself with baby wipes and all the seats are stained. Always rubbish on the floor too. Need to put more staff on to clean.

Went in to have a cup of tea and cake with my son. The staff talked to each other and another colleague/friend who was not working at the time each on a different side of the counter. I had a young child with me and I was alone, they could have offered to carry the tray to a table or bring the drinks over as it was not busy (I was the only customer in the queue), needless to say no offer was made. I was ignored while my drinks were made and no eye contact was even made as the tray was shoved across the countertop in my direction. Also the toilets have a code on them so you can only use if you have a receipt. My son was desperate for the toilet, and he is nearly three and recently toilet trained, and if not for a kind stranger offering thier code, he would have had an accident. Not great service at all

A lovely little Costa, It looks small on the outside but when inside it goes right back with a modern interior and plenty of seating and table choices Staffed by a team more than happy to help. If you're meeting friends, business contacts, just need some dinner or simply just want to escape the madness of every day life this is the perfect place to stop off and relax.

Recieved a completely different order than ordered for second time in as many orders. Avoid ordering from here

Quick coffee before hitting motorway. Nice friendly staff. Hot food and drink. Clean bathroom.

Lovely stuff numbers And the food and drink are not too bad. There's a very calm environment . I love the idea of having brooks and chessomething away from the phone.

Absolutely appalling, understaffed, dirty, and the staff that was there were not interested, if I could give it minus I would, I don’t know how it keeps open, it needs cleaning behind the counter, it’s filthy, and the staff are not interested, to busy on their phones, really Costa, needs looking at.

Not enough staff - just two. Long queue - whilst waiting noticed that all overhead lights - the shades - were filthy with dust and so too was the till, payment machine and other fixtures. Needs a good clean.

This is franchise and I find it has an atmosphere in terms of some staff. They offer the use of the app and free drink when you get your stickers/stamps on the app but it’s always not working for the redeem. This is the 3 time I’ve been in and the sane paper note is on the till (3/4 months old) that they can’t redeem. I travel all over for work and this is my local as it’s by the m&s I use. Out of principal I would never use this shop. Also read other reviews someone with a lot more knowledge than me has said why the coffee has gone down hill by sublimating products used ie milk.

this costa is a franchise so you may pay 5-10 p more but staying that it was well worth in one of the best hot chocolates and lattes we have had looks quite small from the outside but surprising large inside very well run and very organised

This costa used to be my fave place to go when it 1st opened, but i think covid has left its mark, staff are hard to retain coming and going all the time although theres a couple that are very good, The cleanliness has declined so bad, toilets are filthy tiles on the walls have not been cleaned for ages, the furniture is badly stained to, floors dont look like they get cleaned regular either. The food and coffee!! this is were it goes down hill, theres hardly any stock at all and when you challenge it the manager just shrugs her shoulders and makes an excuse up, also the alternative milks are vile, used to be Alpro now its Aldez which is coco colas brand, its disgusting, How come other Costa’s stock is fine (edge lane) again when you challenge staff there not interested, I can honestly say its such a shame what started off as a great place is now declining, i choose Starbucks now any day over costa

Lovely little place in the Queens Drive retail park, customer service is good, fast and helpful. There is a large amount of space to choose to sit down in and enjoy lunch by yourself or with others. Tables are clean, chairs are comfy and the surroundings are relaxing.

One of the better Costas in my opinion. The staff were good a nd the tables had been cleared.

The green tea tastes very bad and a young blonde worker was a little resentful when I asked for extra straws and ice in the water by banging the glass in the tray

Staff were as helpful as a chocolate hammer on the hottest day of the year

There's slow and there's slow. Every morning the same thing. Huge queue, people walking away as they have waited so long and yet empty seats. Speed up and get more morning staff

It’s Costa don’t have high or low expectations

Stayed in he Premier Inn next door. Cheaper breakfast option to the one offered by the Beefeater attached to the hotel. Not the variety, but adequate for my needs.

Polite and friendley staff ample parking can get very busy at times , although it was busy did,nt wait to long for drinks , would recomend going morning before 11.oclock

Nice clean Costa with seating indoor and out. Staff are helpful and polite. Queues can get long with staff looking busy. Parking is the main issue, or rather access too and from the car park. As this costs shares its parking with 2 supermarkets, a hotel and a steak house, it can get busy entering and leaving. For me it's a place to go after doing my weekly shop, but with the traffic issues I don't think I would make a trip to only get a coffee.

Lovely 🥰 coffee and the new blueberry and lemon cake on offer for 4 pound if you scan your app. Great service with a smile spotlessly clean. Great place to unwind. I will definitely return.

As always we really enjoy a Costa. The Triple Sandwich is great value and very tasty. Drinks and cakes as always fantastic.

Limited snacks etc left by 3:45pm. In need of a clean, looks a bit tired, lacks atmosphere. You know what you're getting when you go to Costa though and staff were friendly enough hence stars. Just a note due to time of day, there were a lot of school children hanging around the doorway messing about/ being loud which is off putting for customers who have to manoeuvre past them to go inside.

Love Costa in general. Even with the restrictions you can still enjoy the Costa experience. Staff where brilliant asking customers to stand back when ordering to keep us all safe and social distance. Food and drinks are amazing for a treat.

The place was chock a block with people, the queue was from the counter to the door, with no social distances, surly you should have a member of staff on the door during busy periods

Umm long que sat outside three tablets bit grim .table dirty and also the floor with rubbish and cigs all over. That bad I put my big on my knee .food was ok and also the coffee.will not go again

Ordered 2 soya latte due to health reasons, due to covid 19 wasn't able to watch coffee being made, appears only 1 coffee was made with soya milk and 1 normal milk. The consequence of this left me unwell for several hours.

OK but not the best Sainsbury I've visited, staff OK but not up the usual Sainsburys standard

All staff are great. However huge queue and yet one staff, female who consistently just labours around whilst the others work their socks off, messing with cakes and forms and customers look on bemused. Mad.

Surprisingly quiet still took some time to be served after mistakes were made on the order before mine. Hot chocolate was luke warm at best Still nice to spend time with my beautiful wife

Just finished shopping nearby on a wet , windy, cold day. We decided to have a coffee before heading home. They had a great selection of tasty looking cakes, see photos. But we resisted temptation and had a cappuccino each. Very nice, service quick and friendly.

Not very clean..tables not cleaned and coffee station looked dirty. I know it gets busy but it wasnt when we were in. First impressions guys!!

Cups were dirty. Spoons were dirty. Instead of washing them for me the girl blamed the dishwasher and in the end I asked for a disposable spoon. The tray was filthy and the table not much better. Seems that the shop is run by teenagers who are more interested in flirting with each other than actually providing a service. There was one guy (I think he was from a different country based on his accent) who was actually working hard and trying to do it all in his own. I went back once more and the same thing applied the second time. So what we have here is overpriced coffee that is not particularly good and the usual cleanliness you would expect has been disregarded too. Meanwhile M&S cafe is spotless. They need to stop employing kids who have no interest in customer satisfaction if they want to succeed. Oh, and give the one guy who works hard a raise. He deserves it.

How rediculus! I have left my full mug of tea,went to the bathroom. And when I came back it was gone!!!! I have left my coat at the table as well as a few other things, to show that the table was still occupied. But this didn't help them understand that I was still there, having my tea!!!!!! I was suggested to be brought a new one. But I had run out of time. What a waste of my £!!

Been food shopping in the two supermarkets nearby, met our daughter for a coffee before going home. The BOSS dad a cappuccino, I had a spiced cappuccino plus a rocky road, our daughter had a Black Forest latte. Not that fussed on the spiced cappuccino but the cake was ok. Service slow but it was very busy.

They were really struggling today. 5 staff behind the counter and customers standing around tutting... Tables not cleared... Wrong milk with my coffee.. All a bit fraught really. Not up to their usual magnificent standard.
