Costa Coffee in Highland

I had a recent visit with my parents and after asking about gluten free options the staff were so kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure they were incredibly thorough when serving us to make sure there was no contamination. Keith was fantastic! really thoughtful and even brought our coffee's over to the table once they were ready and checked we were doing ok, such a lovely experience today. 😁 Thank you again!

We've been in a few times this past couple of months an the poor things have seem to have had nothing but trouble on and off since their last manager left. They're always SO friendly - couple young lads & a few young girls. All seem to get on brilliantly and always try to make their customers smile but each time we go in, we can see they're beaten down. Coffees are lovely as usual but could do with more of a selection as they always seem to be low on cakes etc

I don't usually frequent coffee shops however my wife and I were meeting a friend here during a visit to Inverness. We sat outside due to Covid and while it was a bit on the cool side it wasn't unbearable. I had a mint tea which was enough to keep me warm.

Very welcoming staff, always on the ball and always very friendly! They never fail to make me a fantastic coffee with a smile on their face.

Used to be nice even during the start of lockdown but the service yesterday was terrible. Three unfriendly workers, not many customers and impossible to ordet something. No wifi for the track and trace, impossible to understand when we tried to give them our number/ info. Didn’t have any thing left to sell, and first floor was closed (with only one table on ground floor,) which was strange because it was open two weeks ago. You can never work on your laptop or computer in this cafe because wife is non existing. I recommend Nero in High street just around the corner.

We requested to sit in, we went upstairs as the only table downstairs was occupied, there were no available tables. There was no staff upstairs and no communication to the serving staff about table availability. We had to sit outside in the rain. This Costa outlet is very badly run with very little staff and only marginally better than the outlet in the shopping centre (don't go there either as staff are incredibly rude!). These shops should look at the St.Andrews coffee shop as the staff know what good customer entails and it's run like a swiss watch. Will not be back at any of the Inverness Costa's.

The coffee was excellent. However, I wanted something hot to eat. 2 options - mushroom or Sweet potato risotto. Hate mushrooms, so no contest. Went for the sweet potato risotto. Tasteless. It was "hot" as in spicy, but was extremely bland. It was basically very hard to eat. That was weird, as it smelled lovely but tasteless and spicy hot(which was not an issue) = Very disappointed. I wanted the Mac and Cheese but not available so was looking forward to something different (I'm not vegan). Have to say, very very disappointed. I like tasty food. Boo me.

On August 1st 2020 I and my Wife decided to stop for a Coffee while in Inverness, we stopped at this branch of Costa as it had outside seating. The Staff were pleasant and the coffee was as normal very good. However my wife needed to use the toilet, she found water all over the floor which appeared to be running from the cistern and the lace looked generally dirty. With just a dribble of water coming from the tap at the sink hand washing was impossible.

This was the most welcoming and helpful Barista I have met in any of Costa,s coffe shops , Very polite , helpful and caring attitude Well done

I popped in for a quick takeaway coffee before a meeting on Monday. I have allergies to milk so asked if they have lactose free milk ,which they had and was surprised as not all cafes always cater for allergies.

We sat in whilst waiting for our train home. When I ordered coffee and said large they asked if I was sure which isn’t a good idea when your giving them your custom. Anyways, got sat down next to where the singer bit is and there is a motto and plaque on the wall there. Well it’s very dusty and you can see that too. I’d suggest to make sure it’s kept clean even a quick wipe would do it.

located in the city centre, few tables outside. great assortment and as everywhere staff is efficient and friendly. love the food and drinks.

You know what you are going to get with Costa, good service, if a little slow, good quality but at a price, and a consistently good quality of product. The staff here were particularly friendly and service driven.

I had time to kill but was tired so I had tea and a toastie and sat upstairs in a quiet corner and read my book. Staff were very friendly

We stopped here for a carry out coffee on way to Inverness. We both had flat white coffee’s extra hot and a bag of the mini mixed muffins. Coffees were served hot as requested they tasted good too, the muffins were good also.

La taza se le cortó, así que se volteó y café roció cada poco de muebles y piso podría! Por suerte no había clientes llegar! El miembro del personal saltó a la acción, aclaro y nos dio otra café - todo con una sonrisa! No me su nombre, pero él tenía una barba encantadora y le dije que me lo iba a dejar un comentario! It goes without saying that the coffee here was terrific. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. All I really need from a coffee shop. To refer to a previous review I don't go a coffee shop for "atmosphere".

It is hard to review these coffee shops in anything other than a positive light ... you tend to know what to expect. There was no disappointment. It was clean and cosy and as usual the coffee (and cookies) were excellent.

I've had the great good fortune to drink coffee in Costas all over the world, and I don't think I've ever come across one like this. Let me say straight away that the coffee was of the normal high standard, but the atmosphere was missing. I made a min-afternoon visit, there was no urgency to serve by the staff, the tables were very widely spaced, and the clientele consisted of middle-aged and older singletons, all sitting quietly.

Costa à la hauteur de mes attentes. Cafés et desserts bons. Large choix de repas pour midi. Le barista était en formation et un poil hésitant mais il faut bien commencer quelque part !

Quite kind of day and we were handed a rough looking cup of hot chocolate and gingerbread latte, after asking what was happening with it the guy done alot better job than the girl, dunno if she was learning or not but we shouldn't of had to ask what was happening with the quality, it should of been checked before handed out. Maybe a helpful tip for you for the next customer.

The staff could not understand simple English had to repeat my order several times and they still got it wrong. Was not asked which baby chino I wanted, the service is not what I have experienced in other costa outlets. Considering there was only 2 other tables with people I found the whole experience awful.

This Costa has gone downhill. Place was dingy looking,hardly any clean tables. None of the staff seemed to have a clue,why did they have a person on the till,who did not know what she was doing? The staff who did know what they were doing were clearing tables! At a busy lunchtime, I would have expected the competent staff to be serving,making drinks and doing the till and the learning staff who were being trained,to do the tables. I bought two sandwiches and two soya lattes. What is it with Costa that no one can seem to make a soya latte? We ended up with a cup of mainly froth and it wasn't even filled up to the top. For the price we paid the coffee was unacceptable, I was aghast that the guy who made these thought these were decent enough to serve to people,half the drink was missing! As for the sandwiches, the hot sandwich was served on a plate,for some reason,because I had a gluten-free wrap,it was dumped onto the tray and no plate. The wrap was wet and soggy. Neither of us got a knife to cut anything with. This has been my worst Costa to date. They are really needing to teach their staff to make soya lattes properly,with full cups of coffee,not just froth.Sandwiches and wraps need to be served on plates with at least a knife. Very poor value,the place was a tip and we will not be back here.

40 minutes wait for a coffee! A record even for Costa! Not enough staff. And those there were clueless and uninterested. Avoid

Nos fuimos a la costa para una escapada rápida de café mientras explorar Inverness. El café estaba limpia y ordenada, el servicio era amable y siempre puedes estar seguro de una buena taza de café en la costa. Hay asientos adecuados en dos niveles, con aseo en ambos niveles. WiFi era bueno y nos sentamos en una mesa de la ventana de arriba y disfrutamos de las vistas en la calle comercial.

Costa Coffee seemed to be in every town in Scotland. Thankfully, toilets could be found, and good coffee and wifi abounds when you need it most!

Nice pleasant staff, standard cup of Joe from Starbucks. Quiet dark inside these places but its good to get away from bright sunshine.

Leider war der Kaffee den wir in den meisten B&B bekamen recht dünn, um nicht zu sagen "gefärbtes Wasser",aber dieses wußten wir schon vorher.So tut es gut hier einmal wieder einen Kaffe zu bekommen,den man trinken kann und der gut schmeckt.

Delicious white flat coffee and lattes and lovely selection of biscuits and cakes to choose from. Seating area on two floors. Nice clean well spaced tables. Just a very pleasant place to catch up for a chat. Noted on weekdays it's open as early as 7am.Nearest easiest car park would be the multi-storeys a few minutes away.

My husband had me try this one even after I did not like the one in Prague, coffee is pretty strong and bitter if you're like me and like mochas! He raved about the cookies and they were ok, but I am a Starbucks girl at heart. If you like flavored coffees and really anything besides straightlining espresso, this may not be the place for you.

Well located in the pedestrian precinct. Helpful staff. In fact I met the first person who asked me about using some of the zillion points I have saved. Nobody else ever has.Clean and tidy. Plenty of choice. Internet wasn't working which was frustrating.

I have tried several times to insert a review for the Costa Coffee outlet in the Inverness Retail Park near Tesco but the Trip Advisor System wont allow me to insert review on this outlet. This review relates to that outletOnly quibble, the coffee machine had broken down. A bit ironic. However there was a good choice of teas, the cakes were lovely, service was friendly, prices were reasonable and the cafes décor was attractive.Recommended, provided they get their coffee machine sorted.

Central location. Good quality service. Clean, tidy and exactly what you expect from the costa chain. Can't fault the place.

My wife and I called in here today for a morning break. I use this branch quite often but felt disappointed today. My wife was very keen to have a honeycomb latte, none, which was poor. Also difficult to get a seat due to so many groups holding " morning meetings" with their laptops, and really not using the place as a coffee shop. Think I will give them a miss just now. !!!

Good Costa, never leave there feeling disappointed with my drink. I drink soya milk which can be totally messed up being either under heated or totally scalding and over heated and really unpleasant. I have never had my soya latte with sugar free caramel come out anything but 'perfect'.. I fear that one day I might end up disappointed as I have with other coffee places I enjoy but so far couldn't be happier.

I visited this branch of Costa Coffee at 2.30pm on 14 October 2016.I ordered a Goat's Cheese & Chilli Panini which arrived burned and a medium cappuccino which arrived with chocolate topping despite twice being asked and twice declining this addition.There was no wifi downstairs and I had to ask the staff to clear a table for me but they left others untouched. The manager also had difficulty clearing tables one handed as he spoke on his mobile phone and I later found him upstairs on two phone at once.

Afternoon coffee - well just about the best coffee I've had this year, and my friends also agree. The carrot cake - sickly sweet - if you like that sort on thing, I don't. So excellent service and great coffee - we will be back. Only draw back was the amount of single people taking up tables for 4 - whats all that about!! Caused a problem seating us 3, unnecessary.

What can I say about a cup of coffee? I can say that Costa is my favourite! Their cakes are also delicious. As the weather was fine, we got to sit outside watching the world go by.

Had just got off the train from Kyle of Lochalsh and popped in for a quick coffee and cake before getting coach back to Carrbridge as we had no time for lunch. The young lad who served us was courteous and chatty and made the most amazing cappuccinos. The cakes very delicious and very fresh. If ever in Inverness again we would definitely come again.

Visited Inglis st Costa coffee ( opposite souvenir shop ) in May , first visit to inverness and to a Costa' the staff were helpful in what type of coffee would be to my liking and my wife which was kind , very clean establishment and although it was very busy staff were constantly cleaning up tables and ashtrays . Well impressed and did go back .Inverness is a spotless and beautiful place to visit well done Scotland .

Love to come here especially if the manager's son is making the coffee, he is the best! Knows just how you like your coffee and delivers every time! Good range of cakes and sandwiches. Good spot to meet friends or visit for a snack lunch. Top marks to the management just give them bigger premises as it gets so busy they would still fill it.

Weds.2.15 p.m. 16th March.Coffee was fine although the male taking my order was looking toward the street during my request and the female on the till was not paying attention and entered the order incomplete. The manager had taken over the window table and two seats to do his paperwork and make phone calls so hey were out of use to paying customers ! I have a snapshot to authenticate this. No wonder Whitbread shares are plunging.No good complaining to customer services as they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot and will not acknowledge your complaint.

And there's not a lot else to choose from. Manager very pleasant but too too slow for coffees. My toastie was done and cooling by the time I got my latte. Average.

This is one of the places in Inverness that always seems to have a massive queue and if you blink someone will skip the queue right in front of you. The amount of people I have told off for that only to be greeted by a snarl.The coffee tastes nasty, it is expensive and so are the cakes and snacks, and it is also dirty. It is another coffee shop like Starbucks that puts on this big eco friendly ethical act in order to bump up the prices.

I have to admit to being a 'costa girl'! I have tried other coffee shops but always go back to Costa I usually use the Inglis street ( Inverness) branch on my way to work but if Im in the car I will go to the Eastfield way Retail park Today 6/2/16 as usual there was a queue at 09.10 at 09.20 I followed 2 other folk out of the door They need a bigger shop and quicker staff ! I just don't have time to wait so long for a takeaway coffee! Its always like this at this branch!

if you are visiting Inverness and really like Coata Coffee then the branch within the Eastgate Centre on the ground floor is the one to visit the staff are friendlier and more welcoming in this branch and unlike is sister branch nearby. The manager of this branch is also much more welcoming. We all measure coffee shops by the standard of the drink served, so in this case you will not be disappointed as the coffee served is to a high standard even at busier times. The food menu served is the same as always all the other branches, so not much more can be said about that.

As with other reviewers, the standard of customer service is short of acceptable. The staff need more intense training especially in personal hygiene, table clearance and delivering a much better customer experience. The Area Manager needs to carry out some "mystery visits" to recognise the improvements needed or new and more appropriate staff. In Inverness, there should be a wealth of more competent staff looking for employment.

Went today for the first time in a while, walked in, chose our sandwiches and walked along to the young fella serving behind the counter! As I was about to hand him my (thankfully) wrapped baps I noticed that while he was chatting to the other 'Baristas' he was either scratching his backside or pulling his knickers out of it! This continued for a few seconds as he laughed and put that same hand out to grab my sandwiches! I looked at him and looked at his hand, at this point it dawned on him I'd seen where his hand had been! He didn't look in the least bit bothered as I asked him for a strawberry jam tart, he happily lifted the plate and knife (with the same hand) and I cringed for a second as he finally used tongs to lift the tart phew! For our entire time there all I could think about was where else his (and the others) hands had been! petty perhaps but I did find it all a bit off putting so won't go back.

As I can't find each individual Costa on TripAdvisor this is an average of all three branded outlets including the one at the Inverness retail park. First up is the Ingils Street branch - cheery staff, consistent beverages & food (considering the tiny workspace) good service and upstairs quite nice depending on the crowd. Inverness retail park - cheery staff, consistent beverages & food, can be very busy but service quick and timely. Gents toilets stink and it sounds like a ship is coming in out in the cafe area when the hand dryer is used. Inverness Eastgate centre - Mmm.. this is an odd branch that goes from one extreme to another. Depending who's on shift you can have great staff, cheery, good service, beverages & food. Majority are nice,some have been there to long as it can be challenging to get a smile out of them.. however what bothers me more is their ability to make you wait for your second beverage e.g coffee & a cold drink.. meaning that by the time you recieve the cold drink for your guest.. the coffee is cold. Off course the air con setting of subzero doesn't help this.But suspect it's to do with prioritising of beverages in order. To sum up efficiency, consistency and a friendly cheery outlook are quite different things and the latter isn't hard to do.. but this particular branch needs to get a grip as their visual response can come across as though you've asked them for the contents of the till!

What I ordered required a knife. When I asked at the counter I was served by a young gent whom put his hand into a drawer and gave me the knife, with the handle facing me and him holding the blade end between finger and thumb! Perhaps some training in cleanliness wouldn't go amiss.

Nothing special, we wanted a breakfast snack and the choices were limited even at 9am. It is a shame as it is in a good location. Perhaps a chain, but it lacks customer care.

I visit this branch of Costa Coffee quite regularly, and decided this time to take my wife for the Christmas treat. As it was near lunch time we decided to have the brie,bacon and cranberry panini. I felt that there was something "missing" from it, not sure if it was the lack of flavour from the bacon, or the lack of cranberry, but we still enjoyed it. This was followed by a piece of carrot cake, and a delicious mince pie. Hot Chocolate, was as usual excellent. Service and cleanliness up to the usual high standard, and even though it was busy it was not a problem finding a seat. My only grouse, PLEASE GIVE US BIGGER NAPKINS, the ones in use are pitiful and you must waste loads of the "Postage stamp" size ones, as the majority of people take a handful of them and half of them are wasted.

Établissement qui sert un bon café mais c'est tout.En effet, nous y avons pris notre petit déjeuner. Les croissants étaient mous et secs à la fois (il était 7h20). Le tout pour "croustiller" le tout. Le prix était très élevé.

Good situation downtown, friendly place when you need a break. Very good expresso, cold or hot snacks. Outside or inside. A good value

La cafeteria bien situada en el centro de la ciudad, cuenta con una buena terraza, para disfrutarla cuando el tiempo lo permite. Los cafés regular, muy largos para el gusto español. El servicio bien. Merece la pena sentarse en la terraza.

We needed some really good coffee and we found it.The muffins were home made that morning and were amazing. We spent a bit of time outside enjoying the air and the much needed coffee.Great variety of snacks and full lunches if you'd like.

We visit reguarly. The retail park unit is favourite. Nice atmosphere, very clean. The coffee, particuarly the Latte is delicous. A good , well presented , selection of cakes and biscuits alongside the baby chino's for the kids make it a real treat. Friendly staff , in particular the manager Peter who along with looking unflusterred no matter how busy , has immaculate manners.

I've been to a lot of costas but the staff are really friendly and have time to talk here. They got my order wrong but a woman told me i should go up and tell them so i did and they happily took it off my hands and made me a brand new one without any complaints! My sister also really wanted a frappacino, like the mocha ones from starbucks and they didn't do it but they asked what they were like and made something especially for her (apparently it wasn't as good but this made her really happy). Sometimes the cakes can be stale, depending on where you go to costas but the brownie i got from here was delicious, i almost got a second one! yummy.

Worth every penny! Visit various Costa Coffees often in Inverness but this is a very relaxing costa. Would recommend a costa card to frequent spenders. Also the Costa Coffee in the Eastgate is very good too. The picture at top of page is not correct.

I visit here every Friday after work with my husband. It's so lovely with nice ambience and friendly helpful staff . Chic muffins are delicious !!! Coffe even better !

Nice americano but my visit was spoiled as about half the tables needed clearing and cleaning. Although busy it wasn't that busy and in the 20 mins I was in there I saw no table clearing going on. I had go ask for a receipt when I should have automatically been offered one. Were they understaffed, not sure.

Its a coffee shop which is just about it. It serves a range of hot beverages as well as cold ones. They sell food but to be honest I would say it is way over priced.

Great place for a break and for a coffee and cake. Good location although must get full at busy periods. If you love the cake, have the tiffin. 500 calories lovely loveliness...
