Three of us went for a meal on Saturday night. The service was excellent, the meal once again was out of this world. We all had battered field mushrooms will aioli. For the starter,They were so very tasty, and the aioli was the best we have ever had. My husband had Lakeland sirloin steak

Staying on the nearby caravan site we decided the short walk in the rain might be worthwhile and what a nice surprise. A great meal sat near the lovely open fire in an equally warm and welcoming environment. My lobster lasagna was an amazing start, followed by a good steak and chips. The star of the evening though would have to be the wife’s Lamb, absolutely fantastic. All in all great meal with excellent service. We will be back.

The Salmon Inn

19/03/2019: Attractively decorated venue and also quiet a busy place, so advise to book, as we did.
14/01/2019: Ate here recently with 5 friends on a Saturday evening. Glad we booked as it was very busy .... thankfully we weren’t staying there all evening as we were told our table was required again at 9pm. We booked for 7pm so had enough time to eat without rushing as we were going elsewhere for drinks afterwards.

The Lodge

06/01/2019: Been here a few times and the food gets better every time we come! The staff are always very kind and friendly each time we visit.
01/01/2019: We had a really nice meal of mince and tatties and hake. Well worth a stop after a tiring journey. This place is very welcoming on the A697.
