Three of us went for a meal on Saturday night. The service was excellent, the meal once again was out of this world. We all had battered field mushrooms will aioli. For the starter,They were so very tasty, and the aioli was the best we have ever had. My husband had Lakeland sirloin steak

My husband and I visited the Copshaw Kitchen Tea room and Bistro for our evening meal while in Newcastleton. They were very obliging over husband's dietary needs. I had the chicken and bacon pie which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this Bistro

The Black Bull

10/06/2019: We had a fantastic meal at the Black Bull. It was going through some renovations in the back, but completely unnoticed. The most important things about a restaurant it scored maximum on - great food and great service. My wife said the peas were the best ever, and i absolutely loved the Haggis bon bons. Not a single starter, main or dessert was less than 5 out of 5.....all either best ever or close to. Well done chef. The service from a polite, well trained, authentic team was top class. A must visit, we never had time to go back to sadly.
12/03/2019: Somewhat last minute invitation to go to Scotland. Never been to the area before but this is an undiscovered gem. The owner Alan who has been there 3 years is attentive and more helpful than any other owner operator I have ever met. Delightful staff, wonderful food 1st rate breakfast. The rooms are to die for and my walk in shower was just amazing. Cant recommend this place any more. I look forward to being able to visit again.
