My husband and I both had steaks that were cooked perfectly and melted under the knife. Our daughter had the burger which was also delicious and fully loaded!! A lovely little restaurant with friendly staff and gorgeous food - we were only there as we had been to Bicester Village but would probably do the hour and a half drive just for the steak!! Would definitely recommend.

I have eaten in this family run business many times and I have never been disappointed. Today I had delivered due to Covid restrictions the goulash and it was so tasty. The delivery driver was so polite and courteous. I highly recommend you try it.

What an absolute gem first time and feel we have missed out never coming before, the staff are first class and a credit to the restaurant. The ambiance and decor is beautiful really sets the mood, super clean and feels really unique. We had the steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the burger which was amazing, for dessert we had the brownie and sticky toffee pudding simply amazing. Shame we are about to go into lock down as we would be back next week, but they are doing a limited take away menu so we will definitely give that a go. Thanks again for a great meal.

The Copper Kitchen is fast becoming one of my wife and I's favorite restaurants. Our latest visit provided the usual excellent meal - we spoiled ourselves with three courses and a decent bottle of wine - with charming and efficient service. And, of course, in these uniquely difficult times, social distancing was effectively observed. If you live in the Bicester area and have not done so already, I recommend your giving this place a try.

Been to the Copper Kitchen a few times, and never let down. Great service with a smile, safe Covid procedures in place. Food always top quality. Small but very friendly atmosphere. Remember to book as very popular.

We came here as the first place after lockdown and during the eat out to help out scheme. All tables had lots of space between and staff were wearing full face visors. Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful making the experience altogether very reassuring and enjoyable. The food was also delicious; I ordered the king prawn linguini and it was a huge portion with a generous amount of prawns that I was very impressed with. The desserts were not quite as impressive but still tasty. Overall, very tasty food, a lovely atmosphere and great service.

Our first dinner since easing of restrictions. We have eaten here before for lunch but wanted to try for dinner as we loved the lunch. It is absolutely faultless and 5 stars all round. The food is delicious and wine list is extensive. The staff are very welcoming and have really taken social distancing very seriously. A fantastic evening which we all enjoyed immensely and will definitely be coming back again and again.

I have been here before and the food is fresh and flavoursome. This was my first time since covid. First you had to book, as it was all the tables were full. They had taken tables out so there were less spaces. The door was propped open. When someone arrived and their table was not ready they waited outside. There was sanitizer no waitress worn a face sheIlderton. They took orders in one go to cut down on contact. A very enjoyable evening to start getting back to normal and £10 off aswell.

Booked as part of the eat out to help out scheme....basically going Dutch with the taxman!...ambiance was great, very welcoming. Varied menu...but I still went for the fillet steak...nicely cooked and chips were great. King prawn linguine was delicious (words of my 11 year old)...great home made desserts. Would highly recommend and now one of my favourites in Bicester....only downside is it is quite small so book early for a table...

Visited the restaurant recently and I have no complaints. The service was pleasant and attentive, with menus sanitised after use. The food was delicious (would recommend the chicken supreme and braised lamb), affordable, and the menu showcased a wide variety of dishes including vegetarian and vegan options. I booked online through messaging on Facebook and they were very quick to reply and confirm my booking. Overall a lovely place to have dinner.

We have selected Copper Kitchen to have our first post-lockdown restaurant dinner at because we had been there once in the past and really enjoyed it, and we wanted to support a local independent place as well. We have also heard positive comments about their social distancing measures. We have not been disappointed! The tables were well spread out, and sanitising gel was provided to all guests. We have really felt safe. When it comes to food and wine, the evening was just great. Prawns & chorizo toast for starter, then duck leg and goulash, with a delicious panna cotta and sticky toffee pudding to complete the experience. We've probably eaten a bit more than we desperately had to but not having been out for 4 months we've wanted to give it a proper go! With the service being as pleasant and helpful as one can only wish for, we feel that we can wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone looking to dine out in Bicester!

Copper kitchen can’t open at the moment, but are doing take away instead. We had one tonight and it was delicious! Closest we’ve come to having a restaurant experience from home - the food was every bit as good as when they serve it in the restaurant and it even looked fantastic, served in recyclable containers. Would’ve taken a photo but I’d already gulped it all up before I thought to! All in all - it’s obvious when someone really cares and takes pride in what they do. Copper kitchen clearly take a lot of pride in their work and have a talent for what they do. It shone through even in these very strange and challenging times, especially if you’re a restaurant.

I went here with my boyfriend and had heard so much good reviews from friends and family. From arriving we were greeted and given a choice of tables it had a really nice atmosphere, a good selection of drinks to choice from especially wine. I wasn’t going to but ended up going for 3 courses, starter being the blue cheese and pear salad which was delicious, the duck confit main was beautifully cooked and panna cotta dessert couldn’t be faulted either. The staff all helpful and friendly and I will be back soon for sure

Lovely local with home cooked food. Cosy friendly and intimate. Can’t fault the food. Reasonably priced, good portion just lacking on the presentation side of things. I really enjoyed my meal and I amGlad I ate in an independent restaurant. Should have been a 3 star review with what I had witnessed in the kitchen ( have emailed the venue separately) but the food was to a good standard.

If you want to try a Bistro restaurant that is the nearest to a left bank one in Paris, you can't go wrong at the Copper Kettle in Bicester. Wonderful food under the care of master chef Kush. The Australian shiraz is as good as you'll get. Well done to all

16 of us ate there last night for our Book Club annual dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, ambience cosy, staff lovely and a great wine list. Would thoroughly recommend. We pre booked our meal as we were such a big party.

We moved to Oxfordshire area last april & still finding our feet, so we looked for somewhere to eat with a bit of charm liked the look online & was not disappointed, although we the only ones in at early lunch, it was not to disappoint I had the salted mushrooms absolutely delish could of had it again for my main not that the main was not lovely i had halloumi & mushroom burger (without the brioche bun) am usually a bit disappointed when I do just get a slice of halloumi & mushroom whether in a bun or not, yet I still always choose it if I see it in the hope I get something with a bit more imagination. Needless to say I finished it & it was very tasty. My husband had king prawns & chorizo which he said was delish then for main confit of duck which he loved. The place has such a lovely atmosphere & I can imagine when its busy & bustling it's just lovely. Our server was lovely & attentive. We will be back, thank you copper kitchen you did stop us eating rubbish in the cinema x

Been here a few times now,i had the king prawn linguini and it was delicious,there were 11 of us eating and the food came out all together.friendly staff and good service.highly recommended

I can remember when this restaurant opened and visited it for lunch which was just right. This time my wife suggested having dinner here. We were shown to a table at the front of the restaurant but as we were the only ones there we asked to be moved to the back where more customers were. This done we ordered drinks and once served ordered our food from a young woman called Mollie.. Staff were very pleasant and polite. I had creamed mushrooms on toast which was delicious but the toasted bread crusts were difficult to cut although the bread tasted good also. For a main I had the Croatian stew, which again was delicious , the meat just fell apart however I felt it could have had more flavour, possibly paprika???. But must admit I have never tasted food from this area of Europe, but it was still an excellent dish. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised of the standard of service and food, the price was also good value for money and have booked to go again later this month. Well worth it.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Bicester, a real gem. We were at the younger age of the clientele in there, but the staff were fantastic and the food was very good. The fillet beef special was cooked perfectly! We had filled ourselves up by the time we got to dessert so I only managed half of the crumble (no reflection on the dish, just no more room), my husband managed to polish off his brownie! We’ll be back when next in town

We had pre booked for a table of ten and had put our order in prior to our visit, which worked really well. The food was lovely and came out nice and hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and and decor of the restaurant was really nice, we will certainly be visiting there again soon.

I heard about this place from some friends and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing (I had the beef fillet) the waitress milly I think her name was, was welcoming and hard working and made sure that I was pleased with my visit. Thank you copper kitchen but more importantly thank you milly

First review I've ever written and I'm sad to say it's not great. My boyfriend had arranged this night out as we hadn't seen each other for a while and we wanted a romantic date out. We had seen this place and had wanted to go for a while so he booked a table for 6.30pm. We arrived on time and we're seated swiftly and had our drink orders taken with our food taken shortly after the drinks arrived. After about 45 minutes our food hadn't arrived even though people who had arrived after us had been served their food etc. I decided to tell a waiter that we hadn't received a starter. Our table was close to the kitchen and I overheard that they had not received the ticket for our order. The waiter returned to tell us the chef was off sick so the kitchen were very busy (strange how I had heard differently from the kitchen..) During the long wait no one had come to take another drink order, even though we tried to grab the attention of the staff a few times. When the starter arrived it really wasn't worth the wait. Once we had the starter we finally got asked if we wanted a drink. After another 15 minutes a waitress came to ask if we were ready for our main course...which then took another ten mins for it to come. I had sea bass which was bland and not worth the £17.50 but my boyfriend had the pork belly which he said was delicious. When our plates were collected, the head waitress (I assume) apologised again for the wait and then said that the kitchen had lost the ticket (was it the lost ticket or the sick chef?) She then kindly offered us a free drink which was very kind but a bit late to be offering when we were done. I wanted to have dessert before I came because they sounded delicious but by the end of the customer service and long wait I just wanted to go home. I was very tempted to get a Chinese on the way home because I was so hungry and disappointed. Total shame as we had high hopes.

Everything was good from the starters to the mains to the deserts, drinks and the cosy informal feel inside. Plus all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

What I would consider more expensive than other good places to eat in Bicester but the food was very good. had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. very nice atmosphere for a romantic meal.

We had a ball at this place. We booked and went on the off chance. Our friends told us they often pass the place and kept saying they should try it out, so when we were visiting them in Bicester it was a chance to give it a whirl. The food was great, really well prepared and cooked to perfection. Couldn't fault it, but the real highlight of the evening for us was Millie our waitress. Millie was ( unintentionally or intentionally, it was hard to tell ) hilarious. She made sure she knew our names and used them every time she visited our table. her attention to our orders was faultless and she was prompt, attentive etc. Everything a good waitress should be but it was the table side theatre of her "act" that made the visit so special. She regaled us with stories of her personal life outside of work that had us in fits of laughter. She was an exceptional ambassador for the place. Maybe not everyones cup of tea but I would like to think she would be mature enough to tone it down if she got the vibe that it wasn't being appreciated.

Great atmosphere here. The menu is not that big but that doesn't matter. The food is very tasty, fresh and cooked with talent and love. The service was great, with smiles and knowledge. Very attractive restaurant, beams, copper kettles, fire and lots of wood everywhere....quite rustic and charming.

Excelent food, faultless preperatoin and presentation. Some may say a limited menu, but I say if you try to do too many choices, you will end up doing none of them very well.

Have been here a few times as restaurant has a nice ambience for small group get together or as a couple and never feels too busy with a limited number of tables. The menu stays fairly consistent with a nice selection of dishes, reasonably priced and big on taste. A small but nice wine menu also available. A friendly, dependable and cosy restaurant.

With great reviews, this seemed an ideal place - and despite the understated (dowdy?) exterior, the inside was warm and inviting - and the goods was very good indeed. My companion had duck confit - which came without vegetables!; I had coffee fillet, which came with beans and crushed potatoes. Both were delicious. The waitress was very funny and very aware. Everything works well here - and we'll be back!

I've ate here with colleagues various times since August 2018 whilst working away from home and every time the food just wows me. I have ate at a lot of places in bicester and this is my favourite. The starter of prawn and chorizo is balanced and tasty and the goulash is out of this world. A real gem.

I've been here twice now within the past month and both times have been an amazing experience. We were served by a girl called Ella; her energy and service was impeccable. Our whole table were laughing and having fun and she even managed to find an "18" birthday banner for our friend who just turned 25! Very funny. We had an amazing night and that was mainly down to the service that Ella provided throughout the night. Thank you so much, we will be back again! :)

Chose Copper Kitchen based on reviews here, and were not disappointed. We spent over 3 hours here, without feeling rushed at all. The service was excellent - our waitress was very patient when we were chatting too much to read the menu and decide what we wanted to eat. She was attentive without being intrusive. Food quality was superb - starters were halloumi, stilton salad and crab cake. Crab cake was spicy and perfectly cooked so that it fell apart. The mains we chose were prawn linguine, pork belly and duck - portion sizes were good, perhaps even on the large size. The pork and duck were cooked to perfection, and the linguine was cooked to perfection. Empty plates all round!

Have been saying for ages should try this restaurant and eventually succeeded last night. Quite small ( not a bad thing ), but quaint with a good atmosphere. We both had a 3 course meal. We both the mushrooms in cream sauce on toast for starters and it was delicious. I had the sirloin steak with hand cut chips and the meat just melted in the mouth. My partner had the ghoulash with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. Again it was exceptional. We pushed the boat out and had pudding, a lemon cheesecake and a chocolate/walnut brownie.

We visited for my husband's birthday following a local recommendation and had a fantastic visit and meal. It's a really lovely independently owned restaurant with a great menu choice. The staff were really friendly and falling over themselves to help. The food was cooked to perfecton and reasonably priced.

We came here for an evening meal because the menu looked interesting and reasonably priced. While it turned out to be quite good, it was not the marvellous-must-come-here-more-often place I had been hoping for. For instance, I chose the Croatian Goulash, expecting some interesting taste sensation, and was disappointed. It was not as tasty as a Hungarian goulash,and quite dry. On the night we were there, there appeared to be some new or temporary servers on duty, who were well-meaning but a bit faffy. However, in view of the generous reviews others have given, I feel we ought to give it a second chance, so will try a second time.

We visited here after visiting Bicester shopping village and must say this was the better of the two, the food was excellent and cooked very well.We would recommend anyone to try this bistro it is slightly hard to find but well worth it.

I've passed this place100's of times over the years and always wondered what it would be like. I came here with a friend on a spur of the moment thing and was pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely warm welcome from the staff who were friendly without being overbearing throughout our visit. The place has a lovely unpretentious charm about it. The food was excellent, we went off menu for our starters asking for garlic bread which was happily made for us with a mixture of breads. I opted for the Croatian Goulash which I was told is a staple on the menu and it was first class and cooked to perfection. There are plenty of chain restaurants in the town to eat in but why would you when there's a little gem like this. I feel this will become a favourite place to eat when I meet friends in Bicester now. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A wintery Saturday afternoon in Bicester, and the shops are almost empty the main street devoid of people. We were heading for the Vue cinema and we'd booked ahead to have some lunch before the film at The Copper Kitchen. We were immediately made to feel at home by owner Kush, and a friendly couple at the adjacent table who'd stopped by for a coffee and a glass of fine whisky offered us a glass of malt from their bottle. How delightful... if this is the standard of clientele, the place must be a good one. We ordered soup and a walnut and blue cheese salad for starters. For the main course, my wife chose the vegetarian option of puy lentils and roast vegetables while I went with the cod wrapped in ham and served with potatoes and a fine pea sauce. Starters and Mains were exceptionally good, finely cooked and served on hot plates. The cod was moist and tender, the pea puree a revelation. The vegetarian option didn't taste like an after thought like most restaurants who provide one just to make up the numbers... this lentil and spinach dish was well thought out and cooked to perfection.The whole lunch experience was a tribute to Dan in the kitchen and Kush who looked after us, front of house. We'll definitely be back for dinner at the 'Kitchen. Thanks for an excellent lunch.

The Copper Kitchen accommodated 27 of us on Saturday 22nd December for a Christmas get together. Before the evening, we visited to ask if it was possible to provide a Vegan meal, which was agreed. The chef took time to prepare a separate meal and inform what each course would be. The food, atmosphere and staff attention was fab! Would highly recommend on all levels. We did wait slightly longer for the food, but it was a large party, all the food was prepared fresh and this allowed a good amount of time for socialising.

Had a very good meal here tonight with friends. Mushrooms starter and Chicken, Duck an Fillet Steak main courses. All good.

Small menu but what gets served is good. Its not fine dining, but the portions are healthy. Service is good and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and you're not rushed.

Visited last night and was really impressed with the food. Would recommend the belly pork! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they phoned numerous taxi firms to try and get us a taxi. Our server (a Scottish lady) couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely go back. Only little complaint is there were only 3 gins to pick from, but plenty of wine and beer.

The copper kitchen is fantastic, very traditional restaurant with a first class chef, the food, service and ambiance is perfect, I can’t recommend it enough, you won’t be disappointed.

A group of 20 of us headed here for a meal the night before our wedding. Now that they’ve had their refurb, they were able to accommodate us perfectly. We pre ordered, just to make it a little bit easier for them.

First time visit on a moderately quiet Wednesday night - all four of us enjoyed all our food - it was well cooked, tasty and ready when we were. Wine was reasonably priced and therefore the bill was reasonable too. Friendly, relaxed, cosy - thoroughly recommend.

First time actually eating in this restaurant!

We haven’t eaten here for a while, but we should eat here more often! We booked a table and the place was full, so I’m glad we did. The service was really lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. The wine was very nice and not too expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food we had, which was freshly prepared and cooked. We finished we tarte tatin with apples from the owners garden. Probably the best food in Bicester now. I will certainly go back and would definitely recommend it to others.

If you like a relaxing cosy bistro then this is the place for you! Food is truly excellent but not too pricey. Staff really friendly. Pay and display 5 mins away. Highly recommended!

We had a family meal at the Copper Kitchen and had a great dinner there. We had booked a table (recommended) and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left were looked after by the friendly staff. Even the chef made came round the table chatting and asking how the meal was.

8 of us went for a birthday meal, it was so nice. Lovely food lovely staff great value for money too.

My wife & I visited the Copper Kitchen on a Saturday night with another couple following their re-opening after a refurbishment. The restaurant is not large but is now slightly bigger with a new kitchen and toilets and does look much better than before. All four of us had different starters and all were good particularly my sauteed mushrooms. Three of us had the goulash for mains and that was very tasty whilst the fourth meal was the lamb steak of which there was lots of lamb and very nice. Only one desert was ordered to share between two & that was the vanilla panna cotta which my wife loves anyway but said that was possibly the best she had ever had. This is obviously not a high end restaurant and one where you would linger long after your meal but it is good food at a fair price.

Very pleased with our visit to the Copper Kitchen. We took friends who were visiting from the States. I was impressed by the food, and also by the accommodating and friendly service, as one of our friends couldn’t eat tomatoes so asked for the Prawn Linguine without the tomato sauce. “No problem” was the response. How often do you hear that? There was a good buzzy atmosphere and they were busy. I noticed some turnaways. So do Book at this cosy and friendly Restaurant if you want to be sure to get in.

My wife and I visited The Copper Kitchen for a Wedding Anniversary celebration. What a treat! Excellent service and a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. Who could ask for more? It was only my second visit - the first was around three years ago - and we'll certainly be returning in the not too distant future.

Been to the copper kitchen with my wife for a date night and we where both blown away. The staff is amazing and friendly, and the chef is outstanding. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with some nice music, plenty of lovely things in the menu.

A snug little bistro that served a first rate beef filet cooked to order with deliciously seasoned chips. The service was ok, as was the risotto.

There are a few decent restaurants clustered together in Bicester and this is one of them - not the biggest place in the world but friendly and the food is pretty good.

This quirky bistro is worth a visit. Best steak I have had in a long while. Great cheerful staff. Reasonably priced. Good menu and specials. I would eat here again.

Pop in for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. The rump and fillet steaks were excellent, very tasty with delicious pepper corn source, a must try !

We stopped by for lunch and welcomed by the friendly owner. For starter we had the fried Mozzarella wrapped in ham which was very good and for main course we had the CK burger with home made chips, both were excellent. Everything was freshly made. The place itself is nice and warm and prices are very reasonable. we'll definitely come back next time we'll visit the area.

We booked a table at short notice and had dinner on a Friday night. I had a beef burger and my husband had the haloumi burger. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. However I was too full from the main to try dessert so will have to go back.

Visited with friends for an evening meal, we were quite a large group but we were accommodated perfectly. Service throughout the evening was great, efficient and friendly. The food was great, not fancy but tasty, hearty home cooked food. We really enjoy the night and will definitely be back!

We went to have a late dinner and although it was 10 pm were made to feel welcome and the young lady who served us was polite, courteous and friendly. She also told us what was not available from the outset and when the food came it was hot and delicious. Very impressed with the service and efficiency and friendliness of staff.

Small, quirky, intimate Restaurant housed in one of the oldest buildings in Bicester. Not a “run of the mill” place dishing out the usual fare, instead you get freshly cooked, incredibly tasty food. Definitely worth a visit.... and many return visits.

I booked Copper Kitchen for a leaving party (30 of us) hoping that it would provide great food in a lovely environment, and this is exactly what we got. The food was delicious, the service perfectly timed and we had a fantastic evening. Thank you to Kush and all of the team for the perfect evening!

Came here on the off chance with a couple of colleagues for dinner. There were two other tables occupied - a couple and a large group of 10 to 12 people. The service was good and attentive from the waitress, given the obvious demands from a large group. The main positive was the food itself - clearly freshly prepared from scratch in the kitchen which was open to view. My colleagues thought their food excellent, mine was decent enough, not stunning but ok. We weren't massively affected by only having one chef and the big table. Reasonably priced too.
