Cooper's Brook in Gedling

After being turned away from one pub we visited coopers brook on spec. We were very pleasantly surprised. They catered so well for my disability and couldn't do enough to help me without being patronising or over the top. I had my assistance dog with me and they accepted him without questioning his presence, unlike the previous pub. For this I'm so grateful. The food was good, it came in good time and altogether. Would recommend and would return.

I came here with family, and we couldn't fault the service or the selection, and I will definitely be coming back.

Fair place to eat. Food was okay, not spectacular really.

My husband and I visited here for my birthday meal. We booked the table online (very easy)for 7 pm on Saturday 30th March and when we arrived we were taken straight to our table. Our food came out in a timely manner and couldn't fault it at all. The staff were attentive and efficient through out our visit I would recommend here to friends and family

Lovely staff. Everyone we came into contact with was pleasant and friendly. It's pub grub. You get what is on the tin. But it was fresh and hot and the presentation was very good. The service for both food and drink was efficient and timely. The public area's were clean and well presented and the toilets plentiful and clean. Helpful and informative staff.

My wife and I went on the 13th Feb for a meal while we were in notts. I've been before and we enjoyed it again. Good food and the staff were friendly and welcoming, made us feel like they valued our custom. Will definitely return.

Waited at the reception desk and was greeted by friendly staff, shown to a table, shortly after they came and took our order, food arrived, it was hot and delicious. Service was Great.

The coopers Brook is one of the best places for food, staff and atmosphere. I had the tomahawk steak and it is to die for, as well for the rack of ribs. Lovely staff. Lovely place. Would recommend.

Restaurant was virtually empty must of been 18 people present. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and to place an order. We had to go to the bar to see where the drinks were, we waited a further 35 minutes before the dreaded happening, cold food was coming out as we were just leaving. We stated the food was cold and no apology was forthcoming. On this we departed as did a party of 10 ladies who were waiting to place desert orders. Sorry won’t be returning in the near future. Lack of staff, We could have helped ourselves to drinks at anytime as the bar was unsupervised. The main reason for the visit today was to book the function room for Boxing Day, not now. We have been here numerous times and this must be the worst of our visits.

i stayed at premier inn next door so went for a dinner here for quite few nights. service was always great, all ladies polite and accommodating. foods that are ordered were good and decent pub i must say!

I had the feta ciabatta and wow what a dish lovely perfect for me because I’m a vegetarian I will definitely be coming back to see the amazing staff again!

We didn't eat so I cant comment on the food. But the barmaid was rude and very ignorant. Left my drink where she poured it, gave me a single gin and charged for a double and denied when I politely asked for a double. Asked me what I was staring at. So rude. Poker faced and so unwelcoming

Food was so so, I had the mixed grill, stake was char and undercooked to what I asked for, I'll be honest too much food, they could cut the chicken portion in half and you wouldn't miss it, chicken was bland. Partner and a parent has seafood mix, and both said prawns where undercooked and fish bland. General atmosphere was quiet, only a few dinners for 12noon on a Sunday. Old dry chip on the floor under the table showed they hadn't cleaned the floor very well. Otherwise tables and general where tidy. Staff friendly and polite. Speed of delivery was good.

Lovely food- the steaks were divine and drinks equally as nice. The staff are amazing and attentive, Chloe, Jaymi and Keleigh were so nice and overall made the visit a great experience!!! Will definitely visit more often.

Here for a special lunch. Food was great as usual. Had quite a wait between courses but that wasn't a problem. We were there to spend time with family not fast food!

A Greene king pub/restaurant, have seen reviews indicating meals to be good but when I visited the meals were ok and the prices were a little high for the quality given. Other Greene king pubs are cheaper and quality as good if not better. All in all a pleasant venue.

Been to coopers brooke quite a few times nothing is to much for the staff ! especially keighley chloe and nula they treat our family and friends with upmost respect and cater for all our needs very quickly. Food is excellent nice clean and cooked to perfection! looking forward to when the garden is done many more memories to be made. Keep up the goid work and thankyou xx

Lovely place to eat and drink with an amazing family atmosphere. We eat here quite often and have never been disappointed. They always go above and beyond for christmas/halloween ect for the kids. The staff cannot do enough for you.

Lovely meal, food was beautiful. Food came in a timely manner and staff were great. Managed to book a table for 6 last minute which we were thankful for on a Friday teatime. Lively to pop in for a drink too and sit in the beer garden with the kids.

Only stopped for a quick break, so hubby could have a drink. Nice pub.

The rib eye steak was deliciously tasty, but the main was not served very hot. The chips were only lukewarm at best so everything but the steak and side salad was wasted. Only the curry dish was piping hot and was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was deplorable the person who ordered the curry dish was clearly forgotten about and was served long after everyone else. We had to physically track staff down to order drinks and the food despite not being busy. When the deserts were ordered one of our group had to repeatedly ask for cream after the first request was forgotten the second attempt the waitress returned empty handed because she didn't know what type of cream was wanted. The waitress was having a really bad shift by all accounts and sent someone else back with the cream finally. Then we couldn't find a member of staff to ask for the bill and took half an hour to from finishing desert to getting the bill.

I’ve been here twice and both times have been excellent. The full English they do is so nice and really good value for money. Phenomenal.

Such a fantastic place to go with or without Children (they do cater very well for children) huge food and drinks selection. Always a 10 out of 10 when I visit. This is my favourite place to go.

Ordered curry clearly been sat under heat lamp sometime crust dried on top,naan bread crispier than the poppadom, just warm really, steak wasn't hot either very pale in colour not best meal had.

Sunday lunches are lovely, Staff lovely especially keeley, she works hard, nothing is too much trouble, bless her x

Lovely pub , and good to see it was fairly busy, but not too busy for midweek lunch (we needed somewhere that was not crowded due to wife not too well (not covid) The food was lovely and just enough for a lunch. Fish and chips with mushy peas ( and of course mint sauce) Hope to go again soon. Sorry I forgot to mention that your staff are very attentive. Keep doing what you are doing.

Spent 6 weeks in premier inn next-door so I ate in the Cooper every evening and loved the food, went through the whole menu and never had a bad meal. The staff were lovely 👌

The food I'm afraid is poor .had gammon massively salty unable to eat massive chunk of hard sour pineapple not edible. Changed it for fajitas vegetables over salty sloppy honestly chef or management should taste the food they serve .the staff need to understand that as they walk into kitchen you can here every word . Very unprofessional. Would not recommend or go back .

Not the best. Food took 40 minutes to come out, then one of our medium rare steaks came out well done so we re ordered and waited 15 minutes for a fresh one to come back out. My steak sandwich was very basic. Overall a disappointing dining experience

Been here a few times, always had nice food and drink ect, just annoying when online states they close at 11pm, and you get there for 9.30 and they are closing early.

My m8 had grilled chicken and grilled veg the chicken was very small and looked very lonely on his plate of so called grilled veg. I felt embarrassed as I was paying for his meal. I had scampi and chips which was OK. The last time I went there was before covid we had a good wholesome meal but very disappointed this time

I am editing my review to provide a more accurate description of this beautiful establishment. I would like to recognise Keeley who has always been our waitress at every visit we have made over the years. Her customer service is second to none and I hope she trains all your staff to her high standard although her customer service is something that can't be emulated. We just love her, never let her go. Food is great, service is great, charming place we always come back to visit 😍😍😍

First time I have been, since it changed from the old spot, the food was lovely and so were the staff.

Used the function room on the first floor. Own bar and good facilities for party etc. Premier Inn adjoining. Large car park. Buffet very good. Drinks reasonably priced.

We booked a meal for family after a family loss, 17 of us went for a meal and it all went very smoothly, very varied menu and lovely staff, thankyou would definitely recommend.
