Would be 0 stars, ordered large fish but my goldfish at home is bigger. Over priced, over cooked RUBBISH! TERRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. MAXIMUM PROFIT YET LITTLE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

I ordered sausage and chips for collection at 6.15pm. I walked in at 6.10pm and my order was already cooked and bagged! £7.58 for a meal that wouldn't have filled up a child and my receipt had the word delayed on it. Very very disappointed

The best Fish & Chips I’ve had in a very long time, tasted great and freshly cooked. 10/10

Avoid. Get fish and chips from a nearby town or cook yourself at your accommodation.

Chips frozen chips full off grease and expensive

Did not like this food it's nothing like a proper chippy, good polite service but overcooked food and overpriced. I much prefer to drive to cricceth to visit Paddys Plaice whilst I'm holidaying at Hafon Y Mor.

Would rate a zero if I could. Just ordered 4 x fish and chips 4 x curry sauce and 2 x sausage and chips. £60. Absolutely disgusting. The fish was smaller than a usual 'mini fish' over £8 for a fish smaller than the palm of my hand. Curry sauce was like ready mixed concrete. Complete waste of money. Still starving and £60 down and a bad taste in my mouth! AVOID!

Ordered a take away from here - first thoughts was that the food was a bit pricey, but we expected that a Haven site. We ordered 3 large fish, chicken strips on a bun and a kids chicken nuggets and chips - costing over £50. The food was inedible and looked horrendous. The fish was small and the batter was disgusting. The chicken strips were that overcooked you could snap them in half and they were also miniscule. The same for the chicken nuggets dry and disgusting. I can safely say this was THE worst meal I've ever had. My advice is to not order from here and use the local chippy in town.

£6.99 for 8 pieces of the smallest scampi you’ve ever seen chucked in a tray is nothing short of robbery.

Was almost put off the place because of the reviews, but after eating from here, I have no idea what anyone is talking about! The food was lovely and portions were great, especially the children's meals. Would order again easily!

Absolutely loving our stay at Hafan y Môr and can't wait to return. However our meal from Cooks Fish & Chips needs highlighting. These were astoundingly bad fish and chips. The Chips were overcooked, dry and tastless. The fish was also dry with stodgy batter that was also very dry. We were very hungry but we couldn't eat much of our meal. I think drowning it in gravy or curry sauce would have made the whole thing more palatable. On the plus side the serving staff were really nice, the large fish was a really good size and the whole thing was well packaged and bagged up. In conclusion though It was a total waste of money and I couldn't recommend Cook's Fish & Chips. Hopefully in response to the amount of negative reviews this place has received, things will improve at some point in the future.

Never again, don't waste your money. This is supposed to be a large fish and chips, we've had better at other resorts and it's not worth the £21 I've just paid. The batter is like pancake mix and it's over cooked, got mushy peas and curry to go with it and instead we got gravy. Staff need to wash their hands before serving customers and handling food especially when you've just come in from outside and hung your coat up. It's had to go in the bin it's that bad 👎

I have never tasted chips so disgusting. Burnt dry flat not sure if they were made out of potato. Looked like they had been re warmed from the day before. I don't know where they get the pies from but again not the best. Poor quality over priced avoid avoid avoid

Lived in north east coast for many years - I have had fish and chips from countless places. Cook's is without a doubt the worst I have ever had. Every detail is awful! Fish is dry, batter is soft and chewy like uncooked pancake batter, coke was flat, chips were poor. Do not go here. Save yourself the cash and just eat straight out of the garbage.

Burnt dry tasteless chips.the sausage looked and tasted like it was in the warmer for a week..can't believe Haven doesn't look at these reviews and do something about it.. I have my own food business and I taste my own food and make sure I'm selling good food

Burnt chips over done fish paid nearly £20 for poor chips who gets them wrong really? Haven holiday what to say......

First I would like to praise the young member of staff who had to cope on her own we decided to try the fish and chips for us they where to greasy and the fish was mainly batter no fault of the member of staff.

Huge queues, and staff rushed off their feet. They worked hard, and it is a shame that the quality of their chips was so poor. We threw more than half our order away, so poor was the taste.

It was foul. I had a voucher so got the meal free, and still feel like I was ripped off. The fish had clearly been dead some time and I'm not sure the chips had ever been near a potato. Five hours later I still have stomach ache.Staff were lovely though.

Ordered for 8 4 kids 4 adults over priced warmed up over cooked chips North Atlantic cod was chewy like rubber missing products had to go back to get the rest in which time the rest was cold and no phone number what a waste of money go anywhere else

We are at HAVEN Hafan Y Mor, Pwllheli Wales,weve been to cooks takeaway,Very nice,chick & mush,cheese & un pie,large fries and Reg fish,curry & gravy sauce 25 out of 10,thankyou all cooks staff.

The large fish wasn't large and the chicken burger was plain and bland. Also tight on the chips. The female staff member was great she definitely has good customer service.

Was looking forward to my fish and chips very disappointing, chips dry and some burnt ones, fish was tasteless definitely was not worth the money didn't even eat half of it ☹ will not be using the place again

Small fish chips peas and gravy/curry £4, can't grumble at that, good quality, we really enjoyed ours and ate our fill with little waste 👍

Absoulute rubbish food for the price of it.

We only grabbed a potion of chips we took into the cove with us but it was lovely. Can't complain at all.

Went in to order last Thursday 1st October 2020. When the man behind the counter was ready to take our order he just stared at us. We waited for the customary ‘hi, can I take your order’ or ‘hello can I help you’? Nope, absolutely nothing, although after a long pause he tilted his head upwards slightly. That was it. Millions of people out of work and someone decided he had the necessary skills to sell well, anything. Food expensive and greasy. Congratulations Cooks, your staff member has ensured you will never see us again.

Visited this chipper whilst staying on site. As with all outlets on site, prices are extremely high. Cost of our meal (1 large fish & chips and 1 childs meal was £15. We had been given a voucher so our supper was free.Good social distancing measures in place. Staff were very friendly. Chips were lovely and portion was large. Fish was somewhat greasy and batter was not crispy but this didn't spoil things.

Fantastic food massive portions i had battered sausage it was this size of the box My wife had the fish bites 2 of them could of been classed as fish fillets so filling Great job

Their fish and chips are possible the best I have ever had. The chips were crisp and not greasy and the fish was devine with crispy batter. The portions are generous and prices about average. Well worth a try.

My family had food from Cook's in Presthaven Sands (I could only find this Cook's hence the review here). We had sausage, fish cake, battered fish and chips. The fish cake and fish were beautifully cooked and very tasty. The chips were good, although I noticed an employee taking McCains chips from there to somewhere else in the complex, so they aren't proper 'chippy chips'. The food was lovely, only downside was it is quite pricey. However, couldn't fault anything else. The staff were friendly and the premises were very clean too.

The food was nice just wish there was more of it for the money. In comparison a large chips was the size of a small chips elsewhere but they did taste nice.

Absolutely awful!! Wouldn't have given it any stars if I could have. Tried them at Haggerston castle and now at Marton Mere and they were both equally appalling!! The batter is flat and soggy inside, the chips are dry and I think the fish has been rolled over by a steam roller as it's so thin. All this at premium prices!!

We decided to have fish and chips. The chips were freezing and the batter on the fish was like rubber. The mushy peas were just water. Not worth the price we paid for them. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!!

Fish was nice, scampi over priced when they are just using young' s scamp that you can buy in a supermarket as I saw them come out from the freezer with the bag. There was no sense of urgency with the staff, considering it is fairly out of season, I would hate to think how long we would wait in peak season! Staff need to cut down on the polystyrene and plastic that they use! I ordered to portions of pickled onions and then put each onion in a polystyrene pot with a lid, I would be happy with them being wrapped in the paper, same with the battered sausage, it was laid in a polystyrene tray that it was to big for anyway, again I would be happy with paper, it would save them sooooooooo much packaging especially if they do that for everyone!!!!

This is for the Greenacres Porthmadog Cooks chippy. Although the fish and sides were of decent quality the meals were very much let down by cold chips - I was going to take them back except for the hassle in doing so. I was the only customer at the time and there were three members of staff, none could speak the local language when I initially ordered in Welsh. Hey ho I think I'll be giving Cooks a miss in future and really couldn't recommend especially as the prices are much higher than the local chip shops.

Good service, food good and hot, not had any issues with this shop.

Extremely overpriced and bad service. I ordered chicken strips (4)for £4 and when they came they were the size of French fries, extremely small and way to greasy. The man working their was extremely rood aswell, I asked him a simple question and he replied with “ STOP SWEARING”

We had fish and chips on the first night as we left tea until last minute. It cost £35 for a chippy tea which weren’t even chippy chips, it was edible but would never have it again nor recommend it.

These are not even proper chips but oven chips fried. Large chips large sausage and gravy £6+ Standard for this type of chain on Haven sites and it is what it is but wouldn’t choose to eat here if didn’t need it in a rush.

All went wrong as soon as I paid for my meal for my family of four, when a fellow guest brought back her order because it was horrible. She was so angry she brought the food back and gave it to the server and voiced her opinion on the over priced, cheap food. Food is terrible; service is terrible, so slow. Change the oil - disgusting, spend a few more quid on the ingredients. Never tasted or seen batter like it. Chips swimming in cheap oil with a very strange taste. Finally, complete rip off for the privilege. I won't be going back. Recommend avoiding.

Food was a tad dry, and over cooked, the chips tasted like they had been partial cooked and then re cooked, the cost is a bit steep for the amount you get. Wasn't very busy so no real excuse quite disappointed as last season they were lovely.

We stayed here in May and the fish and chips were by far the tastiest of all of the meals we had on the site. Definitely recommend.

I was disappointed with my fish, it was almost like a fish finger. 1st night of the holiday is always fish and chips night. I didn't open my meal until I got back to the caravan, needless to say I was disappointed. My daughter and son in law had a large potion of fish and chips on our last night and theirs were a good size. It appears you have to pay more to get a decent fish. you have been forewarned.

Ok it is what it is they say there potatos sre this an that but in my opinian seem to be like frozen chips a little expensive too

Great food service on campsite and you're always served with a welcoming smile

We visited this fish and chip shop last night and when I got back to the caravan I was horrified to see that our children’s meals were served in plastic buckets. I am sure that the thought behind this is that children can use these on the local beach, however the reality is that these are big single use plastic items. They are poorly made buckets that wouldn’t last a day on the beach. They are completely unnecessary and will be adding to the huge plastic problem we have. Haven bars on the same site have stopped using plastic straws, yet here they are dishing out plastic on a huge scale. Please stop this and use a paper wrap instead.

The fish was nice as were the chips but the price was a bit high. Just short of a tenna!

£40 for tiny fish, chips, peas and a drink for four. Self service to eat surrounded by arcade machines. No thanks.

I bought 1/4 of chicken with chips and was very disappointed. The poor thing looked very distressed and hardly any meat on it. 1st and last visit. Only went there because no other eateries were open on site. Chicken was very dry needs to look elsewhere for chicken supplier, as people aren't daft, even though they are on holiday

On the one occasion we ate here we wanted curry chips, they had no curry left. we opted for taco sauce, they had none, asked for battered sausage they had none left.Chips were very greasy .

Kids sausage was so burnt my son wouldn't eat any of it and chips were frozen not home made . It was also expensive , waste of money.

We stayed last weekend (28 September) 2018. Lovely food, seating available if you didn't want to take it back with you. Clean and relatively fast service. Food was lovely and fresh waited a few minutes as it was cooked fresh all boxed up for you.

Best chips I've had for a long time

The food here was great and great value for money. If you like fish and chips this is definitely a great place to eat and you don't have to leave the park.

Not even the staff knew what was going on. Ordered 3 large chips. That was it, nothing confusing. The order took 15 mins to be served and even then they had no idea what it was! The "collection" line and the "order" line constantly merged, staff had no idea who's order was whos. Very expensive (£9 for 3 large chips)

Good fresh food but due to the fact it is on a Haven site, the prices are a rip off. Better to head off site and go to another local fish and chip shop.

Open all night till about 00.00 nice chips and fish, good staff and fast service even when busy. we had chips and curry sauce one night and a few days later pie and then fish and chips sausages and chicken nuggets
