Cookies Fish & Chip Bar in Glasgow City

Actualmente estoy visitando mi ciudad natal por unos días y me alojo en un hotel en la calle Hope. Me encontré con un viejo amigo por más cervezas de las que eran necesarias o recomendables. Como no hay servicio de habitaciones en mi hotel, llamé a Cookies justo antes de la medianoche y compré un Chicken Bhoona y una porción de Chicken Pakora. Ganga absoluta a menos de 10 años. - Dado el precio, mis expectativas en cuanto a la calidad no eran altas, pero cuando estás en esa etapa en la que te resulta difícil hablar sin driblar, tus estándares caen considerablemente. Estaba placenteramente sorprendida. El Bhoona era de muy buena calidad para llevar y el Chicken Pakora era absolutamente de primera categoría y casi adictivo. Tanto es así que volví la noche siguiente, cuando pude cruzar las carreteras sin la ayuda de los amables transeúntes y reordené la misma comida. Fue tan bueno como la noche anterior.

Horrible. La comida para hamburguesas era 4, pero se limitaba a 2 latas o una botella de agua. Si quería otra lata, era un extra de 40 p. jajaja Comida de muy mala calidad. Hamburguesa congelada producida en masa. Las patatas fritas definitivamente no eran frescas y estaban claramente recalentadas. Las fichas rehechas fueron duras. Servido por un pequeño tipo asiático gruñón sin habilidades sociales. Supongo que gana lo suficiente de las multitudes borrachas cerca de Central en una noche típica para preocuparse por cualquier calidad durante el día. ¡Uno para evitar de día o de noche! Absolutamente asqueroso, me siento mal mientras escribo esto.

He sido demasiado galletas dos veces y, con mucho, la peor comida para llevar en Glasgow. Una vez que comí pastel y Chips el pastel estaba duro como una roca y congelado, lo recogí y me reembolsaron. Luego regresé sintiendo que esto debía ser uno de los que pedí pescado y papas fritas. Después de un poco directo a la papelera, el pescado estaba blando, la masa se vendía y tenía un aspecto poco extraño. Creo que esto se calentó desde el día anterior.

Compré una cena de pescado y una cena de pepitas de pollo fuera de aquí lo peor que he probado, el pescado era asqueroso y las patatas fritas no eran nada como las que he probado antes de que el ladrillo se endureciera.

Si estás buscando una comida de medianoche después de este, estos son los mejores valores y la mejor pizza. El personal es siempre amable y educado.

We popped in got some donner meat, chips with curry sauce and some spicy chicken pizza. We found the gentleman that served us was a lovely chap. Everything was very tasty and reasonably priced was under £10 for what we had. We would defo go back if we went back to Glasgow again.

Got a carton of garlic chicken with fried rice from here, the most disgusting thing I had to eat in Glasgow on our visit. The chunks of chicken were rock hard and the curry was just medim curry, no garlic taste whatsoever, I threw most of it out, I thought about giving it to one of the many homeless people but I don't think they would've appreciated it. There were fried battered items on show that looked like they'd been there for hours, destined for the microwave like the curries no doubt. There are soooo many lovely eating establishments in Glasgow I can't imagine why anyone would buy 'food' items from here!

Work in glasgow city centre and always looking for some where different for lunch, So i was more than happy when i found this place that does lunch size pasta and curries. I tried the spicy chicken pasta and it was lovely and plenty within the dish for a lunch!

I was staying at a hotel on Hope street last week and just wanted room service after travelling from Aberdeen after work it was late I was tired. Sadly said hotel had no room service so I had to go out and find somewhere, luckily I didn't have far to go before finding this gem of a place. I had some chips cheese and curry sauce, the chips were proper chip shop chips and they curry sauce was so nice!! The staff are also really lovely!

Cookies might not have the absolute best chips in Glasgow, but the service by the team on Saturday night was fantastic. Served with a smile. Many thanks. we will be back - next time we're in town.

I was looking for somewhere to grab a cheap takeaway and this place was round the corner from my hotel. They have a selection of curries & biriyanis made ready to be microwaved. I ordered the Garlic Chilli Chicken & Rice and a can of diet Irn Bru. This is a set menu before 7pm so it only set me back £3.95!!! For £4 it was amazing. It's not a gourmet meal, but it's a great bang for your buck! I will definitely be going back!

I've been in here a few times for a lunchtime treat with work colleague's. the chips are always good. the lunchtime deals are good and for me its the right amount to not suffer the post-prandial slump in the afternoon, but filling enough to keep you going. a friend always goes for the burgers which are cooked to order. ideal for lunch or a snack.

Stopped in here last night. Food was okay. Pizza and Chips - what could go wrong?! Staff were okay. Prices were very good. Would go again if I was after fast food. Nowhere to sit in here. Great location though.

Great friendly staff that really do have to have the patience of angels to put up with the drunks at the weekend! Great pizza crunches and reasonable prices!
