Well just had a rather upsetting experience over 2 cups of coffee. I had forgotten my purse and really felt the manager was holding me to ransom, that I had to return with the money or else... Or else what I'm not too sure about. He compared me to 'runners'. Well I have more faith in human nature and have worked in catering. I honestly felt insulted. I offered my work phone as evidence I would return. Still not good enough. Anyway once out at my car I realised I could access my bank card details on the app and all was sorted. I went back and paid (phone not set up to tap and pay). I would also like to say that the friend I was with stayed back as 'hostage' so that I would return. If I had been in the manager's shoes I would of said 'no problem. Just call in tomorrow to pay and that will be fine'. But maybe I'm wrong and he was right... But aggressive yes. I had really wanted to go here to eat but his attitude has totally soured any thoughts of that ever happening which is a real shame as the food looks great.

Lovely meal and staff the lasagna was delicious

First visit to this restaurant on Saturday 30th December 2023.Was busy with a good atmosphere.We started with Ciabatta Mozzarella and Curried Parsnip soup.For our main we had Troffiette Alla Carbonara and Tortiette Arrabiata.Along with a pint Brixton IPA and bottle of cider.Everything was delicious!Unfortunately we could not manage a desert this time but we will certainly return again in 2024.Thank you!

The food was absolutely delicious but the best thing was the service. As a recently diagnosed coeliac I was so impressed by the knowledge of the staff. The menu was explained, along with the produce used and how things were cooked to ensure no cross contamination. Really excellent and I wasn’t made to feel remotely awkward as has been the case in other places! Diolch

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. We had lunch there today and the food was delicious (I had the troffiette alla carbonara con pollo). Staff were really friendly, courteous and efficient. Large car park, too. Loved it and will be back again soon!

We dined at Con Amici yesterday afternoon (28thNov), a return visit after a previous enjoyable visit. The food is fabulous, best Italian cuisine I've ever tasted. There is plenty of choice, the service is friendly and efficient, and the price is right - you feel you have had a very good deal for the quality offered. Tip: order the sorbets as a dessert. Wonderful.

Went for a meal for our anniversary. Very friendly and amazing food.

From the moment we stepped into this restaurant we couldn’t find a fault. We had a lovely warm welcome from members of staff. We were swiftly taken to our table. Shortly after, we were asked for our drinks order which came rather quickly. The times between our drinks order and food order were spot on, the perfect time. I’d highly recommend trying the tempura prawns and aroncini from the starters, amazing! Our mains were both to a very high standard too. We were celebrating my partner’s birthday; I asked a member of staff if there was anything they could do for her and yet again, they went out of their way to help. All the staff we spoke to were a delight; mannered and extremely helpful. A view from my better half; ‘possibly the best place we’ve ate at!’

Very attentive waiting staff, very well coordinated service and pleasure to eat . Food was nice, tasty and hot. I have allergy but the waiting staff made a lot of effort to slightly change my meal. It was a pleasure to be there, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend 👌

Came here for a girly get together last week . We had a beautiful meal and my king Prawn Risotto was the best I’ve ever eaten . We are going back again in a couple of weeks with visiting friends and I know they will have an amazing meal .

Fantastic meal on the last night of our holiday in Wales. Service was very friendly and the food was outstanding. Very tasty and generous portions,the chicken with gnocchi was delicious. The caramel panacotta with rhubarb is also worthy of a special mention

We were booked in for lunch, just after they opened, so the restaurant was quiet, but could imagine at a busier time it would have really buzzing atmosphere. Also some good outdoor space. Clean and tastefully done decor, service was extremely good and staff were attentive. The food was exceptional, clearly freshly made and to a really high quality. The prices were really reasonable given the quality of food and service and the fact it was an Italian restaurant. Would highly recommend. Free and convenient parking at the front of the restaurant.

The food here is 100% amazing, the menu leaves you spoiled for choice, hands down the meal I have had this evening was the nicest meal I have ever eaten, I only wish I could of fit a dessert in, they looked amazing but I couldn't of eaten another thing. I have to say staff were extremely polite and the food we had was nice (appears to be northen italian cuisine). However the ambience was far away from being Italian ...its Italian food in a British pub.

Open plan restaurant. Visited this restaurant once again but in my opinion the quality has gone downhill. Instead of garlic it must have been garlic powder that leaves a totally different taste than cooked garlic. The pasta was simple and not a lot different from a frozen pack in a supermarket. Sorry in my opinion they have lost the quality.

Came for a date night meal with my husband. This is a lovely restaurant, staff were all very friendly. I had the peti di pollo which was so tasty, chicken cooked perfectly and the garlic rosemary potatoes were to die for. Rhubarb pana cotta equally as good. Prices reasonable, definitely recommend if you are in the area or staying nearby.

Best Italian in Wales - doesn’t matter if it’s eating in or getting a takeaway, the food is consistently 10/10. King prawn risotto is incredible with so many fresh prawns and great quality ingredients in everything. Amazing

Food was lovely , could not fault it. A couple of things missing would have got it to 5 star * for me. The offer of ground black pepper from a mill & some parmesan to sprinkle on the pasta.

A little off the beaten track but clearly popular! This independent restaurant had the slight feel of a chain (which would make some people feel more comfortable). Food superb though and defo had an independent, homemade quality to it!

Not my favourite Italian restaurant. Its ok food wise, lovely starter, bland main and pudding. Not cheap so I expect better. £35 ish with no alcoholic drinks. It got ridiculously noisey Saturday night. Great to be able to park there and the staff and service are good. Wasn't happy to see loads of drinks with plastic straws which should no longer be used.

What a hidden diamond. We turned up and from the front were a little underwhelmed, as not what we were expecting. But once inside we were very pleased. Food was excellent. Garlic bread was the best ever as described by my daughter. Pizzas were brilliant and the pasta excellent. Wine and beer as expected but service was brill and I tipped. Highly recommended!

Wonderful lunch time meal and the staff were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The 3 stars for atmosphere was that there were not many people there when we arrived at 12.30. But it was buzzing by 2.30 pm.

1 Sep. 2022 - Just had a take-away from Con Amici to celebrate 43 years of marriage whilst staying at our holiday lodge near Ruthin. We can honestly say the garlic bread & risotto was absolutely delicious. The best we have tasted in a long time. Would like to compliment everyone who works there. We will be back - next time we will come & eat in. Only down side was that they didn’t do a pudding to take away!!!!! Many, many thanks.

Great family run Italian restaurant with b&b rooms available too. Menu is extensive with a "specials" board too Easy car parking and accessibility all on one level. Lots of seating in the bar and in the restaurant, also undercover outdoor seating.

We were passing through. We stopped for lunch and had a very pleasant meal. The server were friendly and helpful. The food was hot and tasty and we enjoyed our visit. There is car parking outside and there is a bar inside. There are also some tables outside.

The best risotto i have ever had and the prawns where cooked to perfection, my husband was very disappointed with the Larger ,the 2 pints he had went flat with in minutes of being pulled, he suggests you use Renovate to wash the glasses .

New to Denbigh so this was our 1st visit to Con Amici. Decided to take it away and enjoyed our meal in the garden. Sorry I can't recall correct Italian food names, but we had a spicy meatballs dish with pasta + also a creamy mushroom + chicken strips with creamy pasta. Both totally delicious. Definitely be going again.

Amazing service and good food. They have an amazing vegan menu which is not on their website so I was extremely happy. I opted for the pasta which was delicious. Hubby had the steak which he said was good, but quite expensive for the size,...
