This place is our go-to for Indian food. We live in Newtownards and the trip over is worthwhile. The standard prices are good, the quality of the food is excellent and the service is always good as well. We normally get a takeaway but would dine in sometimes when they have a curry club night or a 50% off deal. BYO makes it a really affordable night out.

Called in during a busy Sunday evening. Got seated promptly and served with complimentary popadoms and chutneys and pickles. After ordering Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Chana Masala with pilau rice and naan bread our dunks arrived shortly thereafter. Despite being busy our meals arrived within 5-10 minutes. Ample portion and really tasty. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Good value and a pleasure to visit.

Ordered a kebab on chip and a kebab on pitta for collection. Have to say I only ate the awful food because I paid for it. The kebab meat was not made in restaurant and is clearly shop bought, slimey and awful taste to it. Parts so dry my dog couldn't even chew through it, naan bread was burnt but soggy so indication it was microwaved. Overall extremely disappointed and don't think I'll ever buy from here again. Other restaurants local to this one selling similar menu, for cheaper and of higher quality. This is not what I expected from a well known take-away/restaurant that we have had nice food from before

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala on Just Eat for £9.50 and along with everything else came to £16.95 which is a good price, but what they failed to put on the order is the fact it does not come with rice... when I rang to see if it was missing they informed me no you have to order it separately meaning I had to order more food to reach the minimum £10 order, and then with delivery etc it came up to £15.60... over £30 spent on an order for 1 person is shocking

FOOD MISSING , made an order for 2nd time as really enjoyed.... Tandor mix that is ment to come with Seekh kebab was told when food arrived there was none left for our meal.... A pre call would have been nice to offer something different... Shame as the food is nice....take note if something is not on the menu update it.

We ordered on order yoyo for 7pm arrived about 10 minutes late (but at 7pm on a sat night we totally understood!) was well worth the wait! The chat puri chicken and prawn was so succulent! The mains were just as good! Would not hesitate in recommending! Thank you so much for a yummy meal

I ordered a vegetable jalfrezi which I was pretty excited about too! Having been told it would be ready in 10 minutes I knew it either couldn’t be too fresh or it was cooked too fast. I was right, there was very little flavour and just spice. Seems like the kitchen wanted to get through orders very fast and maybe I ordered when they were extremely busy but due to this experience I doubt I will order from here again and rather make my own at home

This is a fantastic Indian restaurant and excellent value for money, we had takeaway last night - the cocktail Masala and chicken dansak - layers of flavour, fresh ingredients and delicate spicing, with complimentary papodoms. The service was excellent and friendly, well definitely be back next time we're in the area .

3 moths ago Comber tandoori was one of the best indians on the island of Ireland first week in Jan we ordered a take away with some friends as i had been bumming and blowing this place for a while. When the food arrived it was well below par Nams burnt and half the size and certaintly was not cooked to order mains lacked taste i put it down to them being busy. last night i ordered a chicken Rogan when it arrived lo and behold yet again the nam was burnt dry and half the size chicken was tough and not fresh the sauce was runny and watery which had gathered at the bottom of the plate no seasoning actully the dish had not taste what so every the rice was luke warm and lumpy this dish was only fit for the bin and thats were it went. such a pitty really as the food was outstanding but somthing has obviously changed...........

Table for 11 , Food served really hot and plates hot also .Plenty of dips and poppadoms on table .Jugs of water . Food delicious , fantastic value for money , owner extremely welcoming and attentive . Byo.Will return definitely ! Yummy

This restaurant is my go-to for a family get together or birthday celebration. The food is always delicious, the owner Miah is a gentleman and the BYOB with no corkage is a fantastic plus! 10/10

Really good food at affordable prices. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Eaten here many times and it is consistently good. Currently getting a makeover and it’s looking good

We love this wee restaurant. A great family feel to it. The food is really great. The owner /chef has a real interest in his output and it shows. The restaurant is small. In an old historic building, and no drinks licence. The menu better than the run of the mill stuff. I particularly love their Achari dishes. I haven’t seen that in many other places. That wee hint of pickles in the taste is unique If you want sitar music and pictures of the Taj Mahal this is not for you. But if you enjoy and understand the cooking of the sub continent you will love this quirky place. And it’s engaging owner

Firs time went for casual catch up with family. Food tasty enough and nice spicing. Not too oily like some. Fair prices and can bring your own booze which can keep the cost down. Reasonable choice of dishes. Not modern or fancy but just a friendly local place.

Had a marvelous meal at this restaurant, I understand they dont have a licence to sell alcohol, however seem to be happy for you to bring your own, Soft drinks are available. The prices were such good value. Very impressed.

Great atmosphere, Great service and possibly the best Indian cuisine I've tasted anywhere! Yep, I do mean that. The owner and his staff are very friendly and super helpful. The food could not be faulted. It's perfection on a plate. This is not an expensive restaurant... it is quite affordable and very good value. It's also B.Y.O. and they don't even charge corkage. This place is a gem. I will be back, and back, and back....

I just got a takeaway, a wee bit like warm but 15 minutes in the oven it was really lovely and worth the wait. I did let them know it was a tad cold, they were very gracious. Thanks Comber Tandoori you are truly professional.

Amazing food, really friendly staff, second Tuesday of every month runs a curry club, where its a set menu of dishes from Bangladesh and the surrounding areas (usually 2 meat dishes and a veg dish). Slow cooked cuts of meat, bones and all, give the curries such a flavour. Would recommend to anyone.

When having a takeaway in Comber, there simple is no comparison. The meals are always plentiful and taste great at a reasonable price.
