Imagine the horror of staring out of the window of a soulless Seattle coffee template of a location while underpaid staff stress behind you only to see a charismatic indie across the road. Awful. So, if you fancy a coffee and are on Leith Walk then cross over and go to Tepuy instead. You'll find a welcoming and popular choice nook. The Columbian coffee is simply fantastic. It makes you regret those other coffee choices made previously. Well, some of them, let's not be too dramatic. Let's be practical instead and point out you can eat in or get the coffee to go. I did on my first trip and had finished the whole recyclable cup after only one block. I also picked up a lovely slice of Victoria sponge. That was fresh and decadent in all the good ways Food is something the website doesn't make here. You can come here to buy coffee to grind. You can also come for a sit down, coffee to drink and a cake. [July 2023 - I visit as often as I can, generally around once a week. I've not seen food on sale in months. The good news is the coffee is great and this ethical independent now lets you pick from a range of Columbian beans thanks to their single shot grinder.] [October 2023 - They've a loyalty card that gives you a free coffee fairly quickly. Worth asking for one!] [March 2024 - really good for people who care about their coffee]

Have had this place saved in my maps for ages and finally got the chance to go today. Hands down the best coffee I’ve had in Edinburgh, so glad to have gone!

This place is a true gem. As a coffeehead, I always look for places that serve single source coffee with high quality beans and Tepuy surely ticks all the boxes. The espresso was great and the service superb. We also had an opportunity to practise our Spanish. Highly recommended for a unique coffee experience in Edinburgh.

For coffee lover, this place is highly recommended as it serves one of the best coffee In Edinburgh IMHO. It is a small cafe serving only Colombian coffee with just 1 barista serving right next to dine-in guests. We tried a variety of beans in various forms, and I loved the Red Bourbon in cappuccino recommended by the barista. It brought out an elegant balance of flavor and acidic. Thanks barista for such great recommendation!

Just on the passing popped in for a take away coffee and a cake. The coffee I received was smooth and amazing, just perfect. It was so good I popped back into the shop 15 minutes later to buy a bag of coffee. As for the cake, from Argentina I think, it was bliss. One last thing, the service was first class. I apologise for not knowing your name but I felt a happy, positive, helpful attitude from you, so thank you. I'm not local but will definitely recommend and I'll return. Far far far better than a Starbucks or Nero

Alejandra is a star! The coffee is excellent, especially the Natural roasted one, with its smooth and gentle flavour notes. Recommend this place for a great cuppa.

Some of the best coffee in Edinburgh. It's a small cafe but they have really good roasts and the service is impeccable! They also sell Argentinian pastries and, as an Argentinian myself, they are perfect. The flavour was on point and they even offer a variety so that you can always find something that suits your taste. The shop was also well setup to follow covid restrictions without making it feel cramped. This is now a new favourite of mine

I bought ground Cattura beans today and I was extremely impressed! The taste is nothing like other coffee makers in town, so earthy and not sour at all. The people in the shop were very friendly - this is quickly becoming my favorite coffee shop in Edinburgh and I will definitely be back for more! :)

I just love Colombian Coffee Beans. Simply the best to enjoy out of all the coffees I’ve tried, especially the TEPUY selected beans, best of best. Me and my girlfriend use Italian mocha to brew ours and find it a simple method to make a great, intense, sublime coffee. Well done TEPUY, Well done Colombia.

Amazing wee place, amazing story! A small, friendly, family run shop selling single source coffee direct from family run farms in Columbia. You can buy beans or ground coffee (great gift for the coffee lover in your life, they will be impressed!) or a perfectly made delicious coffee to go. SO TASTY. Best coffee in town.

Best tasting coffee you can buy. Coffee is from a partnering farm in Colombia. Very smooth coffee, great for take away coffee and great to buy in larger quantities from. Staff is really helpful, friendly and passionate about their product.

I come from ny this coffee is not bitter it taste like a flower or a fruit . ny coffee tastes really bitter. Id even say its sweeter but not too sweet without sugar.

Excellent coffee straight from the source. This kind of quality is rare to find, and to find it in Edinburgh is amazing. We loved learning more about where our coffee is coming from, and grabbed some beans to bring back home. If ever in Edinburgh, we will absolutely come back!
