A group of us ate here to celebrate two of our birthdays on 21/04 . The service was lovely especially the waitress from Albania who was helpful , friendly and her personality really added to our enjoyment. She helped to make the experience very positive . The other servers were also very good . What was really horrible and very disappointing was the rudeness of the manager at the end .We didn’t want to share the bill as it would have been unfair on some so we decided that the two people who didn’t indulge as much just pay for their own . Then we would just split the bill . When the two of us went to pay our own separate bills he was extremely rude from the outset . He mocked my response when he asked me what type of pizza I had . I had to leave as I was getting upset at his attitude ( I didn’t give back any attitude to him at all ) . He continued being rude to the other person left paying her bill . It was absolutely uncalled for . We are are group who always go out to celebrate each others birthdays and we will never come back here again . I’ve worked in service and am really shocked at his attitude. As I say the servers were lovely but he let the whole place down .

Been visiting Cocorico Italiano for many years. Very welcoming staff, always being there for anything and always ready to provide suggestions or information of each meal. Management is always making sure that everything is on high quality standards and we felt that we are being looked after a lot as managers were there to ask us if everything was alright. Food is amazing, we had pizza, pasta, and steak which was as always delicious. There are so many unique cocktails which the bartender is giving always decoration touches that are making the cocktails on next level. Bartender was very helpful and had a huge knowledge about what he is serving helping one of our parties on wine decision and drink recommendations. On our way out, the owner was there to thank us and ask us for feedback which made us feel very grateful. Highly recommended. Special thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

I have eaten here twice. Never again. The service was rude, everyone's food came at different times, the wine was off. Friends also went here and the same problems. Dreadful.

Really enjoyed my first visit here. Partner had the half chicken, I had spinach and mozzarella stuffed chicken. Very tasty and filling. Waiting staff mostly attentative, but started clearing table before last person had finished. Would still recommend.

Ordered a Calzone, the dough was cooked enough and it needed a few more minutes to cook. The materials were very salty which makes me believe the product are not the best quality. Overall very disappointing

EXCELLENT SERVICE Good choice. Excellent food quality honestly, one of the best local Italian restaurants! Fair prices, welcoming environment, very kind staff, always smiling and helpful, normal appearance time like in any other restaurant.

As I stepped into the restaurant, the sense of rush was palpable, instantly putting me on edge. Throughout the meal, the waitstaff darted around, adding to the frantic ambiance. Then, out of nowhere, a waitress muttered a swear word in a language I couldn't comprehend, leaving me feeling awkward and offended. To top it off, while we were still eating, everyone around us seemed to be donning jackets, accentuating our lingering presence. The service was incredibly poor, with long waits for everything, adding frustration to the already tense atmosphere. The experience was far from pleasant, and it tainted the entire dining experience with an unpleasant aftertaste. This happened yesterday around the time 8:30 we entered it was 2 Italian older looking ladies that were mainly being rude towards us. They didn’t know that we spoke the same language and could understand them calling us words such a the b word a when are they going to leave. Never going to come here again it is extremely disgusting

First time ordered from here, truly the best pizza, exactly the same pizza you will get in Rome!! I got the margarita with goat cheese and olives 👌, good price, very tasty. I ordered through Uber eats, seems like theres only one size pizza which was 13", wish if they would make bigger pizza sizes.

Good restaurante with a great environment. Gives you fancy feel with well priced quality food. Just be warned they turn off the lights when singing happy birthday (it’s pitch black) maybe should consider dimming instead. Had about 5 happy birthdays while there.

The place is beautiful but stinks of rotten fish as soon as you walk in. As soon as I smelt the rotten fish I wanted to walk out but had to stay because of the crowd I was with. I ordered a pizza and pasta and honestly I have been throwing up ever since because of the smell and texture. The pizza was soooo salty that no amount of water can justify it. The pasta was luke warm and soggy! Not fresh came out the freezer: The pizza cheese was also frozen and I will not recommend this place to ANYONE! WILL NEVET EVER EVER COME HERE AGAIN YUCK!

The food was great. The service was also very good with friendly staff. The music was just a bit loud that it was difficult to hear each other. Overall it was a great experience.

This is a fabulous restaurant. My first time eating here and very impressed with the venue. Reception was extremely friendly, courteous and the place is spotless. It's like a Tardis , with loads of space for a large party or celebrations. The food is absolutely beautiful and very nicely presented. If you're thinking of going at the weekend, book in advance , it's very popular and gets busy. Great experience. I'll be back 🔙.

Went here to celebrate my niece's birthday. Wonderful evening. All the hosts were attentive and the food was on point. Lovely atmosphere. Really had a good time. Special Happy Birthday song chosen for my niece too. Definitely a gem in Whetstone.

Lovely staff and service ,great food

I went on a Sunday at 1.30 pm and the first thing you’ll notice is the impressive size of this restaurant. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the food is good. It’s best to book in advance. Since the restaurant is located on the main road, parking is available on a side street or in a car park just around the corner.

Great food and friendly service. Place is huge and has a nice vibe. We had the goats cheese and mushroom starter which was lovely. Goats cheese wasn’t very strong. We couldn’t decide what garlic bread to get so the waiter offered us half tomato and half cheese which worked. Spaghetti vongole was lovely as was chicken Caesar salad. Recommend!

Me and a couple of my friends went to this restaurant, somewhere we always used to go to a few years ago and enjoyed it every time. I believe it has been taken over by new management and has changed enormously. I ordered a veggie wrap, which I usually order, but this time it was luke warm, the veggies were soggy and the wrap was also soggy. I know if I kept the meal, it would have not be eaten so unfortunately I told the manager I wasn't very happy and felt very sorry that I didn't like it and was hoping to swap it. The look on his face was pure disgust, and he snatched the plate from beneath me. After this, the whole experience felt very uncomfortable and awkward, in which he refused to serve us afterwards. As a manager, it felt very unprofessional that he was very judgey when I was very regretful with my decision, and then he proceeded to send 2 other members of staff to serve us as he didn't want to interact with us. He looked fuming the whole time and was watching us eat, which made us feel uneasy, especially as 3 girls. If you like feeling uncomfortable and eat in rude, unprofessional environment with mediocre food then this is then place for you. The downfall of this restaurant is very upsetting.

Was my first time in this restaurant. If you planning a romantic dinner ill say to find another restaurant because is way to noisy , but for groups is the best option(alot of space inside). The food was nice, the thing that I absolutely love were the desserts!

I like location of the place and interior. The rest Unfortunately is absolutely no for me. Food is below avarage ( nothing to do with real Italian food), but the worst is service! Staff is very rude, not welcoming just want you out as soon you are entering the place! I will never go there again! I prefer Izgara in Whetstone.

We had an early birthday lunch here today and the food once again was outstanding!........Cocorico is definitely worth a visit. The staff are lovely and accommodating, we did not have to wait too long for our food and a lovely atmosphere!..... definitely our favourite place to go to now!

We have had our U3A group Xmas meal here for several years. It is really efficient at handling large groups - 20 in my party. We went a la Carte and it was very nice. Great speedy service. We will be back next year!

The food was gorgeous. I had allergy needs and they attended to them amazingly. The staff were lovely and attentive even for a busy Friday. It was an amazing evening and I recommend highly.

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE but at the end of the day that bad experience have led us to a GREAT experience else where(at PALMIYE KITCHEN). See below: - My wife and I was walking down the road looking for a Meal deal during lunch time. We saw the sign(picture below) in front of cocorico, so I chosen my dishes beforehand based on the sign displayed: Spagetti bolognese and calamaris. So we enter the restaurant and asked for the normal menu and the LUNCH meal deal menu. As we started looking at the lunch meal deal menu(picture below) given to us inside the restaurant, we noticed that it wasn't accurate, therefore the huge sign outside in front of the restaurant was FALSE ADVERTISING. I called the waiter(a tall white guy) who came with a bit of attitude saying that "we had only 5 minutes to order the lunch meal deal", I asked him why is the advertisement outside not matching with the lunch meal deal menu given to us, he said well: "the menu given inside is the accurate one and the sign outside wasn't right but they have ordered a new sign" I told him: well, you guys should definitely NOT place this sign outside as this is false advertising and not fair or right on the customers. The guy in a very bad attitude and tone of voice said: "go speak to my manager" . I told him: I am telling you the issue, and you should be the one ensuring your manager will action this appropriately. The waiter kept given me the cold shoulders along with his bad attitude, so I had to apologise to my wife and left the table as this was definitely NOT the way to deal with the situation. INSTEAD: 1. Apologise to the customer for your messy and misleading false advertisement. 2. If the sign outside wasn't accurate OR you have requested the sign to be modified then do NOT display the sign outside OR at least advise customers AS SOON AS POSSIBLE or COVER the item/dishes you can't provide(calamari and Spagettibolognese). 3. In this specific ocassion, the waiter should have contacted the manager IMMEDIATELY to ask if an exemption would be acceptable so that the customer wouldn't be penalised due to your false advertisement! Simple as that. But.... as I said in the beginning of this review. This bad experience led us to a great experience at PALMIYE KITCHEN, which has provided us with: 1.very friendly staff. 2. MORE variety dishes on the luch meal deal menu. 3. IMPRESSIVE portion. 4. Costing less than your(cocorico) false advertisement meal deal lunch. 5. More flexible/Longer time for the lunch deal (until 4 pm). Customers should definitely be careful with false advertisement from cocorico, I wouldn't recommend. I am only thankful that you led us to a great experience at PALMIYE KITCHEN which we will come back and definitely recommend to everyone.

Superb food and service! Went there my mother in law's birthday and the whole family had a fantastic time. Dishes were flavoursome and portion sizes were generous. Will definitely return!

Disappointed with the food its slowly got worse over the years to the point now they I won't return far better places to eat in the area. I'm not sure what's changed here but a simple mixed grill comes out over cooked and covered in so much salt its not possible to get it so wrong. Calamari was also a joke pretty much eating batter with nothing inside must be bought in frozen. Such a shame as its local but sorry can't justify coming here anymore

Food is always great. Service is always poor, I think they could improve the way they greet you at the door, and be a little more caring and attentive when you are seated.

The place was lively with many families around. Great atmosphere. Food was excellent. Best of all, very welcoming staff, keen to ensure customers have a great experience.

We came in as a party of 7 with no reservation and was able to be seated. Everything was going well, however the waitress constantly only acknowledged one side of the table and not the other. We ordered carbonara which was nice and the lasagne which unfortunately was not enjoyed. The parmesan cheese was given to one plate on the other side of the table, and the waitress rushed away and did not put any for the other side of the table (lasagne and carbonara). The kids meal also came with a drink, something I had to mention for them to actually give one instead of them informing us. I feel the food is pricey for the quality that it is given with. The restaurant and decor itself is lovely, however the staff can be more attentive to the whole table.

Came here to celebrate my bday. The food used to be good but now the pasta was so watery and tasteless it was sooo bad, and thought I got a small piece of cake cuz it was my bday but was charged £8 for that when the bill came💀💀

Food completely hit and miss - suggest avoid the fish and meat options - not fresh and poor quality. As the manager has said in response to a poor review - there are hundreds of other Italian restaurant options suggesting the customer goes there instead - completely agree - I certainly will

My first visit to Cocorico in Whetstone - with a recommendation for the chilli 🌶 sauce - apparently better than Nandos'. Unfortunately, the expectations weren't met, and the sauce in the bottle was less flavoursome. The char grilled half chicken was good, with fries and salad, good value for a restaurant in London Boroughs. Finished with the home made tirasimu which lacked the flavour of any alcohol. That was a miss for me but perhaps their normal clients would not miss it.

Mediocre, over priced food. The service was even worse. We definitely won’t be going back.

Prompt professional service. Great choice of food all freshly cooked. Comfortable seating outside and plenty of seating inside. No onsite parking. You will not be disappointed.

Got a delivery - wrong item sent. Everything else was cold. Skip the prawns because they’re not deveined. Chicken is excessively dry. Not worth the money at all. Even the salad is just a lazily put together mess, no dressing. Absolute shambles.

Place looks lovely, I ordered the pizza and although portion was fantastic the actual flavour wasn't. Definitely could be better but would go again to try something else. Staff accommodating. Made sure to check ingredients in food for allergens etc. Very knowledgeable

We didn't have reservations but it was early in the week and we got seated immediately. It was quite busy for a Monday evening. We had drinks, beer and prosecco and ordered pizza. One veggie with goat cheese and one with meat which included ham and pepperoni. We also ordered a starter of mushrooms and requested for everything to come together. Pizzas were so tasty. We also shared a dessert, the chocolate cake and that was really good too. Overall I found it to be a very positive experience. There were 3 birthday celebrations. Service was also very good. Very pleased and will return.

One of the worst dining out experiences I've ever had! It started out well: The manager managed to seat 8 of us without a reservation. Our starters arrived together, and the table was cleared when we'd finished them, ready for the mains. Then things took a turn, my (chipped) dish was slammed into the table in front of me, which I found funny at the time. This was followed by a plate being slammed into the back of my head! I was laughing at the incompetence until the offending waiter, rather than apologise, said, "That wasn't my fault" and blamed the table behind. My food (Tagliatelle al Salmone) was meh. However, my flatmate's (Sausage Rigatoni) was revolting. To top it off, my granddaughter's burger was only half-cooked. By half-cooked, I mean, literally half of the patty was uncooked! At least they offered to replace it, which she graciously declined, so they took that off the bill. Needless to say, I will not be going back and absolutely cannot recommend.

The price is fair and the food is excellent. The best Italian in the area by a long shot. Staff are always friendly and polite. Some do speak some Italian so I get odd looks sometimes as they don’t understand.

I can’t thank this place enough! We turned up at 8pm on a busy Friday night 12 people with no booking! We had booked somewhere else which turned out to not be suitable. We are not local and had all travelled up to an hour to get here! What seemed like an impossible task was handled so well by the staff and management. Not only did they somehow manage to find us 2 tables of 6 next to each other, they turned our night round into one of the most fun nights with wonderful food and an amazing atmosphere. Thanks for the best night!

A good restaurant if you want ease of service and lots of options. I think the quality/taste can be bland at times but the prices are fair which balances things out. I would say this is a good place for those with children who might be picky eaters.

Part of the Fish platter was undercooked and part overcooked. Trying to get attention from the waiting staff was a mission and then 3 different bills produced, as they kept getting it wrong. dissapointed. :-(
