Great place with great range of food and drinks. We visited for coffee while shopping in the City and unbelievable whe you come inside and see the decor and layout. Well worth a visit

Had an amazing lunch last week! All the food is so tasty and I love the Vietnam coffee so much!

My family and I are huge fans of Coco Tang for their delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. My personal favorites include the bún bò trộn nam bộ, which I love to pair with their Vietnamese drip coffee. Additionally, I enjoy their spicy fried chicken wings and the S&P squid. Their desserts are amazing as well, and we particularly love their matcha and white cacao cheesecake.

Really excellent quality food - I had a mango salad and salt and pepper squid - perfect. A short menu, and it was a busy peak time and I had a short wait to be seated. Not the cheapest, but no automatic service charge. A great place for a treat.

This place is a hidden gem. Been a few times but this weekend me and my partner went for some food and it was some of the best I've eaten in a long time. We had the sharing box, and would highly recommend. Amazing service, 5 star food and great vibes.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Nottingham and found it lovely. Great authentic flavours.

Went for a friend's birthday meal, but was amazed by the food so I decided to take my partner there who is vegan and she loved it too. Although only few options for vegans it she said it tasted great and would go again.

We ordered so many items from their menu to have a feast and not one item was 9/10 - every single thing was 10/10. The clams were 11/10 by the way. And the ribs on the meat platter were 12/10 😅 The coffee is great and the drinks menu really interesting too. Combine amazing food and drink together with a really cool location, and you’ve got one of my favourite restaurants!

The cafe has a cosy feel to it. The staff was really good and guided me through my choice of food with gluten-free options. However, I found that the options for vegetarian Gluten Free food was very limited. But I had a great time.

I love this place. If I'm at a loss of where to go for food, this will always be there. The menu is small and might not look like much but everything is delicious and great quality. The cocktails are also amazing and the service is great too. I would always recommend this place to people.

Really cute venue with a nice atmosphere. The food and cocktails were amazing, and everything was super fresh and flavourful. The main menu isn’t very big but it’s good and the drinks they serve are unique. We were sat close to the bar and I loved watching them make the drinks in front of us. The staff is also very nice. Absolutely nothing to complain about and can’t wait to come back.

Honestly was so weird tbh i mean the building is a bit odd in itself but the woman came over to my girlfriend and started going on about God and how she was a messenger and that God loved her etc IDK but the woman paid for half our bill so that's nice I guess go Jesus lol thanks lady can you cover half my mortgage too???

Having toured Vietnam and having read the great reviews we were very excited to try a proper non-chain Vietnamese restaurant. Whilst the food was tasty I'm afraid it was a little underwhelming and did seem to have been toned down/westernised which was a shame. Add to that the thumping disco/dance music at lunchtime I'm afraid it's not for us. Staff and service were great and as an introduction to what is a really exciting cuisine and for its ethical ethos, its a good start.

Very patient staff and friendly service. Food is great, we loved every dish we tried. You certainly need to save space for coffee and dessert!

Loved the place so much that we came here twice in one day! Firstly we popped in for a coffee and cake - amazing selection of coffee based drinks and very cute cakes. Later in the day we returned for dinner - the food was delicious, freshly prepared and full of flavour. The service was friendly and efficient. 5/5

The food was seriously good – not a huge menu, but everything hit the spot. Loved the fun drink options, added to the experience. Perfect spot for my mum's birthday. The decor was also really nice too!

Very tasty food, good service and a great atmosphere. We shared a bamboo basket with BBQ ribs, chicken wings, lemongrass chicken skewers, pancakes, spring rolls, tofu cubes and sauces. Would definitely recommend!

Meal out with mother in law. My wife and I were out for a bit of shopping with her mother. ( in her 80's mobility issues) dropped onto a table ( lucky as they were busy for a Sunday afternoon) service was good but the food was fantastic. We had the sharing platter and the soft shell crabs . Food was tasty and enjoyable. Dips enhanced the already vibrant flavours. And just enough for a Sunday lunch. Highly recommended

Great casual place to eat. If you're going there as a couple, I recommend the bamboo sharing box, just the right amount of food for two and it was delicious. I'd also recommend timing your visit - there can be queues for walk in tables (unsure if they do bookings as we walked in) at busy times but the queue did seem to move quickly. The desserts are also delicious! If you choose the coffee cake, beware that the size of the portion is huge!

Nice place, interesting decor, food was tasty but veggie noodle main was not as flavourful as I was expecting. Fun drinks. Fun desserts. A little expensive and also the service charge is annoying especially as some staff were unpleasant but others were really nice which rounded the service out to average at best. Staff cleared tables too quickly for my liking.

Loved the food, very nice place haven’t explored it all yet. In my opinion on the top floor with the garden there is always a lack of staff. I always have to wait or personally go down to pay. Would like to see an increase in staff activity upstairs. Thanks

I had a great time at this Vietnamese restaurant! The atmosphere was spot on, creating a wonderful dining environment. However, I must admit that the soup in the raw sirloin pho was a bit too salty for my taste. Despite that, the overall experience was quite enjoyable. Lovely place, interior is cool! Food was okay, Pho didn't have much flavour unfortunately, however deep fried soft shell crab was nice! I didn't enjoy my coffee, although that could be just preference as I have never tried coconut ice coffee! Japanese roll cake was okay, I liked it looks the most, taste was not groundbreaking. I will try this place again for sure as I want to try other menu items! Tried almost all cakes on menu and all are amazing!

Amazing food, cocktails and service! We came for dinner then subsequently visited again for lunch the next day. The seafood and bamboo platter were unremarkable. Pho was heartwarming and authentic. The ube cheesecake was just too good! We received complimentary slices of mooncake in view of mid autumn festival as well. I will visit Coco Tang again in the future when I am in Nottingham <3

Our third visit and every time the food and service has been 10/10. The bamboo basket is a firm fave and we love the rooftop garden too!

Great little restaurant in the heart of Nottingham - magnificent food and drink in lovely surroundings with attentive staff who are happy to give recommendations if you can't decide! Would fully recommend a visit but do book if you're planning to come over lunch - it's very popular!

The Vietnamese cuisine is delicious, and my favorite dish is the Vietnamese-style beef pho, followed by the Vietnamese spring rolls. The other dishes are also very tasty, and they truly capture the authentic flavors of Vietnam. They have beautifully decorated cake rolls here that are both adorable and delicious. I have tried several varieties of cakes, and they are all equally outstanding. The service is not bad, although the tables are a bit cramped. The overall environment is average, but the quality of the food makes up for it and saves the overall experience to a certain extent.

Sam is the best.. she is caring, efficient and very polite. She can turn a bad experience to a 5 star review. I genarly love this place all staff are friendly, Great atmosphere and good food.

Absolute gem in the middle of Nottingham, there aren't many seats and it's walk ins only so you may have a wait but boy is it worth it! We had some outstanding salt and pepper squid, then excellent spring roll noodle bowls. Not the cheapest but great quality and good size portions too. The chiffon cake was so light, airy and perfect to finish.

Great Vietnamese restaurant. We had a selection of food and drinks. The food was really good, the pho was fragrant and delicious. Possibly the best I've had. I have to say the milk tea wasn't as strong as I'm used to, but overall the entire experience was 5/5. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Nottingham.

Casual place with unexpectedly good food. Service was good, and the menus were very well designed. We shared a bamboo basket, not sure how authentic it was but everything tasted great, the chicken skewers and tofu especially. Would love to come back to try a main. The desserts were so pretty and light as well, so also a great destination for coffee and cake.

Similar to other low scores. Overly pretentious place that's not authentic. Had the platter, pho and a starter. Mediocre at best, better food close-by on town. Expensive too. Think it's a trend that people come here for cocktails and snacks and over pay. Decent size bar! Biggest bar I have ever seen in a Vietnamese restaurant. Ask yourself, is it about cocktails or good authentic food? I will not be back. 2.5/5 stars.

First time here, first time eating chiffon cake and I bought an extra slice to take home. ❤️❤️❤️ Impressive and creative cocktail menu we sampled 8 at the table. The food came quickly and was delicious. I recommend a garden seat if you can!

When I should the waiter the coco tang 20% discount card, the manager came up said too many ppl like me abuse the discount card, so the card is now for table for 2 only. I just wonder why you didn’t tell me when I got the discount card a week ago? I had it last year, it was totally fine no matter how many times or how many we visited. I don’t really mind you don’t offer discount anymore, but not saying I abuse this offer. This is totally ridiculous.

A place I haven’t been to in years and has changed since it’s pre-Covid basement bar days (though that still stands) - this time we had a work lunch on their sunny terrace and absolutely everything we ate and drank was delicious! Between 7 people we had 2 sharing platters (meat and fish), sweet potato fries, side of rice, side of pork ribs and a tofu noodle bowl and it was the perfect amount. The sharing platters would definitely serve 3 with a side. The drinks were all delicious and so inventive. From a cocktail with a handmade bubblegum ‘soap bar’ to the coffee coconut and banana frappe, can’t recommend it here enough! Friendly staff too and huge area though it does get busy, even when we visited on a Tuesday lunch.

Good food and service, we went at a busy time for a late lunch over the weekend. Cool interiors, although I wish I knew there was an upstairs at the time of visiting, as it seems a lot more spacious and open from photos/videos I’ve seen.

It was one of my favourite restaurants in Nottingham, but our last visit made me feel very uncomfortable. I’ve been to Coco Tang at least 5 times, as the food never disappointed. We saw written in front of the cafe that 10% service charge was OPTIONAL, but when we were paying the bill, the waitress kept questioning why we didn’t want to pay it and just stood there waiting for us to pay for the service. Me and my friends felt obliged to pay it as she made us feel very uncomfortable and crated a very awkward environment. I have never felt that way in a restaurant. If you want to charge for service, make it clear that is mandatory. Otherwise, don’t say it is optional and make your clients feel obliged and pushed to pay for it. Absolutely appalling, will never recommend to anyone ever again.
