Great staff,food when it arrived was 1st class the only thing that wasted it was 1hr 25 min wait for main meal but would still recommend you try this place

Brilliant as advertised. Perfectly cooked ribeye and delicious feather blade beef. The chicken liver starter was excellent.

Food was great, seated next to the door. To tight for my liking. Would requeat a seat away from door next time.

I had high expectations for Cocktails and Steaks. However, as they say, first impressions last. We (my wife and I) booked for 6 o’clock on a Sunday evening. Booked online and paid a deposit of £10 per person. We were seated and given a chance to peruse the menus. For a steak venue I found the wine selection to be poor. Wines to pair with steaks; Heavier tannic wines such Barolo, Amarone, Malbec, Cab Sauv etc. No Barolo or Amarone and the Malbecs and Cab Sauvs were cheap(at cost) and didn’t rate well. Upon deciding on the Malbec, I was informed it was sold out and the only other Malbec was by the bottle. The gin my wife wanted was also sold out. Both settled on alternative drinks. We ordered gordal olives & bread to start. Approximately 7 olives arrived in a small ramekin. My wife ordered a flat iron steak and I a chateaubriand, only to be told they didn’t have any left. Bearing in mind at this point we had paid our booking deposit and had our drinks and starters. At no point when being seated were we informed they were out of stock on this item and quite an important item, given that it’s a steak restaurant. We were also not informed of the specials and noted that the table next to us weren’t informed at the start that they had sold out of the chateaubriand. Settled on a fillet. Both steaks were lovely. We finished off the meal with a shared dessert. The food that was available and served to us was lovely. I’d suggest that the wine menu needs revised, especially that the online photos show a bottle of Amarone. Selling out of alcohol, wine and gin can be bought in bulk, non perishable items. At no point did staff offer to open the bottle only Malbec as an alternative. Selling out of steak could be forgiven but when compounded with the other items unavailable it would seem the business is erring on the side of caution and not ordering enough in and passing that on to the customer in the form of willingness to risk a dissatisfied customer. Not sure I would recommend.

Poor attempt at a boozy brunch. Staff unobliging and appeared grumpy because they “didn’t like” multiple tabs. Service charge put on to every round of drinks. A friend sent a bottle of Prosecco upstairs for us and there was a £7 service charge added to it for them bringing upstairs !! The atmosphere was not what we experienced at other Boozy Brunches. Not a patch on Rocca, Giovanis kitchen. Our party was very disappointed. The saving Grace was the sax player who came to the rescue for the final hour. Overpriced washout.

Was looking for the -0 review button, went here for Sunday lunch £44.00 a head, starter Olives and a little bit of bread each, main course a very very small started plate of poach eggs on a slice of sourdough bread with avocado (this is a nice breakfast or starter not brunch) DJ spent most of the day videoing cd or social media, service changes on every single round of drinks, one waitress was good and poor girl had to listen ti the whole place complaining, left went to pub along street where it was cheaper friendlier and service was fab, the only saving grace in C&S was the Sax player everything else was nothing short of a rip off, they should be wearing masks!!!!

Cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Market Menu is excellent value and the manager and staff are very friendly and obliging. Highly recommended!!

If I could leave a 0 I would.... both myself and partner got food poisoning from here. We only had a steak and chips, I threw up 30 mins after leaving and my partner the next morning

Firstly - atmosphere. We were a larger party seated very close to a couple and it was slightly uncomfortable and awkward. I understand this is a steak place but should be aware when there are larger parties there will be veggies attending. There is only one veggie option. The website lists this as a cauliflower steak with rice and curry sauce, which sounds like a meal. When I arrived, the menu option was spiced aubergine and cous cous. What I was served was one half of an aubergine with a few spoonfuls of cous cous. This is not a meal and certainly not worth the charge compared with the dishes of my party. It was also listed as having a yoghurt sauce, which it did not. There was a tiny drizzle. I had to order sauce, which I was charged for. The server was lovely but clearly overworked as it took a long time for drinks and food to be served. Despite this, we were reminded that we 'only have half an hour left'. We paid bill in full and left a generous tip however I don't think this was reflective of experience and from a veggie point of view, I'll certainly not be returning. I would very much like to understand how the cost can be justified for half an aubergine and a few spoonfuls of cous cous which I could make at home for under £1.

Second visit and second time steak had to go back, disappointed. First the steak was overcooked and dry but the replacement was under with blood running on the plate. Staff very apologetic however after taking this off the bill, we were £98 for one steak, two starters and 3 drinks, 2 non alcohol. Along side being put between two tight tables when others were available, and asking for the card receipt but didn’t get one. Very disappointed as would like to love this place but won’t be returning.

My party of nine had dinner to celebrate a double birthday. The waitress explained that she was working alone due to staff call offs. Despite this, she did a marvellous job, nothing was too much trouble and everything came with a smile. She is to be commended. Every meal was thoroughly enjoyed.

First time visiting here and cannot fault it! Staff were all very accommodating and friendly even when they had a day of big tables, food was delicious, very good quality and well presented and a lovely atmosphere especially with the Christmas decorations. Look forward to returning soon🥩

I like the food 🥘 it was delicious and the staff was friendly, maybe the portions were not big enough but the rest was delicious 😋 we had a good meal there and spent a nice time with friends, there is a toilet also on the downstairs bathroom, I would love to try it again next time on my next visit to the city of London once on my favorite city all over the world with it’s best unique culture and cosmopolitan and overall the experience was amazing 😍😍😍

Arrived early because of the train stood at the door for a good 5/10 mins before we were approached by a member of staff, were taken to our table and then the came back 15 odd mins later asking for a drinks order I hadn’t even looked at the menu so asked them to come back a further 15 mins later they came back drinks ordered, drinks arrived 10 minutes after ordering and we ordered our food, had to ask about the steak on the market menu as it wasn’t explained very well on the menu anyway ordered our food all was good, after being in the premises for 1 hour we finally received or starter which we decided to share we had the haggis bonbons it was 3 very small balls of haggis so was consumed within 3 minutes as we had waited ages, waited an almost further 30 mins for our mains, when they arrived the presentation was outstanding, however the steak was so salty that about half way through I just couldn’t eat it anymore and gave up, the onion rings were great and the mac and cheese side was very dry, we got another round of drinks ordered when our main meal arrived, I was drinking french martinis, when it arrived I was told they had ran out of an ingredient so they had substituted it with something else, WITHOUT asking if that was okay, if I had known I would have picked something else, because we were having the market menu we opted to get a portion of ice cream to share to make the 2 course for each of us, the ice cream was delicious, all in all £100 later and I don’t think we will rush back, service very slow and although the food looks good I would advise you to be careful unless you want to feel like you have been drinking the sea with the saltiness of the meat.

An impromptu visit and we were able to get a table. Food was delicious, both had burgers and the sticky toffee pudding was yum. Staff were very attentive even although they were busy. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Booked here for my mother in laws 65th birthday meal. Everyone loved they're meal. Everything was perfect from the staff to the food, couldn't fault a thing. We will definitely be back for one of the best steaks around. You need to try the sticky toffee pudding!

Service was really poor, which I feel always spoils a night. I ordered the roast beef which had the smallest amount of gravy on it and when asking for some more I was charged £3. Will not be back, there is plenty equivalent places around with much better service and standards. Thanks for your reply however definitely won't be back in the future.

The food was excellent. I had sea bass which was cooked to perfection. Others had the steak and said it was also excellent. Attention to detail and overall presentation was perfect . The staff were lovely and apologised because we had to wait more than usual but it was well wort the wait . The food and its preparation were of the highest quality.

Beautiful dinner, went as a late afternoon/ early evening dinner, service was spot on, attentive without be overly fussy. The food was nothing short of gorgeous. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely return

Been here a few times good selection from menu however the service this time was very slow and a few times had to remind the waitress to bring over missed drinks but overall wouldn't put me off returning

Food was lovely..cocktails were quite bad...really watery and sour, had to send one back! Noticed a big difference since we were in previous! Drinks wise...food was nice.

Was treated as a birthday present. I had burger with fries. It was fine but just another burger, although it was stated it was made with rib eye steak. Friend had flat steak which she did expect it to be flat. It came quite thick like a fillet but wasn't. She said it was a bit chewy on one side. Staff were excellent and attentive. Told staff + he said chef was more than capable to cook the steak + asked if he could do anything to solve it. My friend asked if the £7 supplement could be lifted + it was so 👏 to that. May return in future

Had a delicious Chateaubriand for my birthday dinner, only let down by the cold tomato served with it. When I complained I was told it was only a garnish. If that’s the case don’t bother cooking it and serve me an uncooked cold tomato not a cold cooked one. The response from the chef was the most disappointing. Admit your mistakes.

A meal for two with my wife, we both had sirloin steak. I have no complaints about the staff or the environment, it is a nice place but the steaks were very disappointing. Both were stringy and rubbery and also difficult to chew and even cut with a steak knife. My with had another steak made to replace her snd I had mine cooked a bit more. Didn’t really make a difference. By all means go for a meal but don’t have the sirloin steak.

Went with friends for a celebration meal, one of our t-bone steaks was overcooked but we were told we'd need to wait at least 30mins for another one due to other orders. This wasn't ideal so on that basis service could've been better

Outstanding boutique steakhouse. Great selection of dishes and drinks with a lovely ambience and very friendly service. The butcher's sauce is an absolute must try. Wish I lived closer!

Food was delicious, but felt we were rushed at the end. As reservations are 2 hour slots, we had to leave our table to sit at another table by the window, for our dessert cocktails. We didn't dither at all over our courses, so it wasn't a case of us holding back service. Makes one feel slightly undervalued as a customer, when they are rushing you from your table. An extra 30 mins would have been ideal

Think its on the pricey side for the standard of steak given. My steak could have done with a bit more seasoning but I will say the peppercorn sauce was very nice. I do also think the tables are too close together, felt like we were actually having dinner with the table of 4 next to us, one person of which appears to have learned to talk in a helicopter, folk in Angels would have heard him. I wont rush back

Absolutely loved my first visit here. The food was fantastic and the service top notch! Can't fault it at all! Noted on my booking it was a birthday dinner so they took one of the cocktails off the bill. Decor is really quirky, rustic and atmospheric. Our server Kerri was brilliant! Olives and warm bread were brilliant, steak was cooked to perfection!

Not usually one for reviews but so disappointed with over priced bad quality food. Had expensive sharing steak but there was more fat than steak which was like eating leather and prawn starter tasted like it had been deep fried in old oil, wasn’t the best and won’t be back

I opted for the ribeye it was slightly over the medium I asked for but not by much. It was well seasoned and full of flavour. However it was a bit on the tough side. Staff and restaurant were both lovely and I’d say it’s worth a try. Sadly it’s not somewhere I’d frequent as a steak lover.

I try to always avoid the soulless ex bank sited or new build carvery eateries, I guess you'll see that in my profile. This establishment is truly what the name states, mind you I Never (b4 this weekend had a cocktail, but I had a liquid dessert...V..sneaky it was a cocktail and WOW strong AF ) Let's get down to the gritty Three adults...three courses... a V nice bottle of red (£29) two glasses of red three soft drinks and two mental liquid desserts ..Creme Brulee. 😜. Wait for it. Starters Scallops X 2 , Chicken parfait X1. Main steaks X3 with 5 sides Pudding. Sticky toffy , 2X ice creams Then two liquid desserts I mixed some vanilla ice cream into my one coz the alcohol made my eyes water when I had a sip....proper mental measures. £200 , that's all and the staff will call you a cab FOC ta boot. I've only marked the service down to 4*'s as the two serving staff were run ragged and covered all the tables. Orders Drinks .bar. welcoming. Clear down snd table setting. This restaurant would be 5.5.5. If a dedicated bar person could be costed in obs they could also help with the front of house also. Wota find.

Just okay, bit pricey for the quality, not the best of service and tables far too close together, felt like we were sitting with the folk on either side.

Bad taste left in mouth following the purchase of a voucher on offer this year and not being able to use from being told the voucher had expired even though the date was not properly identified with the year and no terms and conditions detailed. There was no offer to return the cost of £75 and only a 20% discount offered. We have supported this restaurant through out the covid pandemic and will not be returning. There are other reviews with similar complaints so please be careful when purchasing any offers on the limited time period to be used as we could not attend due to having covid which extend the period of use.

Our neighbour recommended steak and cocktails to us as we like to go to miller and Carter for Sunday lunch. Wow the food was amazing the staff were lovely and the margarita was great. No more miller and Carter it's Steak and cocktails from now on.

Been here many times and this was the first time we have been disappointed, long wait for meal, part of starter was missed and had to ask for it,after asking about times after 90 mins got a cheeky response about being a chef down, would have been better if this was explained earlier?food didn’t feel as fresh as usual, standards definitely not as high.

My wife and I had dinner here last night, it was our first visit and we'll definitely be returning. We ordered the baked camembert to share as a starter and it was delicious with the accompanying relish. We then both ordered Steaks and again these were cooked to perfection and delicious, we ordered a side of glazed carrots and these were the best I've ever tasted. As well as the food being top notch we also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, the decor is lovely and the cleanliness superb with an emphasis on COVID advice. Our server ( hate using that term as she was so much more ) was called Diane and she is a huge asset to this establishment, she ensured our meal was to our liking and advised on items in the menu with great advice on the butchers own sauce. On the whole we had a very pleasant evening and would thoroughly recommend this exceptional restaurant, thanks to all involved.

Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and as we are fairly local, and steak lovers, we went tonight for husbands birthday dinner. Great wee vibe, good tunes, great menu. However 2 cold (and I mean cold) scallops starters for which we weren’t even asked how they were, however for which the feedback was given (main concern I wanted to ensure hot main, I hate cold food). Mains came, steaks were gorgeous, sides were also, asked if they were warm. Yup. Onto getting dessert menu 90 mins in. We ordered just an espresso martini and an Irish coffee and were told we had 10 mins to actually drink them. Wow ok ! Then we were told we have 20 when I said we’d just cancel the order. Customer service not as expected, by a long shot. Not be back. They couldn’t give a cr@p about whether the food was warm / good. No care in dining experience…..we never delayed in any way but we got rushed out at end. Good luck if that’s how you treat your customers ! Food good but not that good you can treat customers like that and expect return custom !

Great intimate restaurant on Uddingston main Street. Great food and cocktails as the name indicates. Food was unfussy and well executed. Steak was really medium rare and the staff coped well with dietary requirements. Dinner for 4 with starters , main and a few cocktails came to 50gbp per head not bad all in all. Staff were super friendly but the service was a little on the slow side- however the food, friendlyness and atmosphere more than compensated

Visited the restaurant this evening to celebrate a birthday with family. Mixed reports to follow: this restaurant has lots of positive for example it has a nice cozy and clean enviroment, staff are lovely and their cocktail are delightful!! However I have to say that we were dissappointed in regards to our stakes as they did not appear to be good quality. Unfortunately the quality we received did not match the large price tag that we had to pay!

Excellent restaurant. Staff are always super helpful and friendly. Food always well executed. Wish they would put the jasper chicken with garlic and chorizo on as a regular. Far tastier than the chicken Supreme

Booked table for 4 people for 6:45Arrived on time and were seated upstairs.Service was so slow. We got starters and mains.The steaks were very poor quality and not worth the expensive price tags.On finishing our main, the plates were cleared and we were told they needed our table. The waitress returned with the bill which we had not asked for.We explained as the service was so slow, that we had not even seen the desert menu or had coffee and we can only eat when they bring our food.She went and spoke to the manager and came back and said we can keep the table and get a free round of drinks. No thank you, they wasted a good night. We wont be back.

Delicious food especially the Baked Goats cheese. Would have been five stars but one of the staff seemed in a bit of hurry to get our table cleared even though it wasn't busy

Busy little place although I have never been in one I think a bistro would look like this place,smallish menu with an emphasis on steaks obviously ,in a party of three one had a sirloin and two of us had the burger option the starters were very good and oh these cocktails us ladies had two each ,poor driver cola I had a long drink called a raspberry collins utterly delicious and a butchers wife also very good.No loud music although some customers were rather loud for such a small restaurant remember folks voices carry.

After reading and hearing reviews from friends we booked, food was nice just thought portion sizes didn’t match the price tag,we where asked to leave our table before we had a chance to look at the desert menu, customer service lacking severely sadly
