Ate here about 4 times now over the years. Popped in on Saturday early evening. Pub was quiet but which was good for us as we decided to eat. Food has always been very tasty … if a little on the expensive side but we choose to eat here and enjoyed and will come again. Highly recommend 😄

Bella was super nice and patient with us all. Knowledgable, friendly and efficient. We had a lovely time. One of the best burgers I ever had.

Came here with my 2 teens and husband. We ordered a chicken burger, a variety of tapas and paella. All the meals were lovely just a couple of niggles that may be down to personal choice. Burger was very salty. Chicken wings were just fried, nothing on them. Everything else was very tasty and the service was fine. Would recommend for somewhere different than the usual. Hopefully will be back.

We had a fabulous night at Elcurioso last weekend. My wife’s celebration with 24 close family and friends. The restaurant accommodated our wishes and the staff worked so hard. The food was fantastic and freshly made and getting all the starters and mains out together for our 3 large tables was really appreciated. The VFM was excellent and I’d highly recommend Elcurioso for similar sized events and birthdays.it’s a unique experience in the Cheshunt and Waltham Cross area. Thank-you for hosting us guys . We will definitely be back 👌🍷🎂

I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to after my recent experience - After reading the reviews and some recommendations from friends (albeit a few years ago) I Booked for my wife’s birthday and to be honest I wished I hadn’t, although the staff were friendly, the food was awful, where to start. Chuletas De Cordero - for £19 was 6 cube of lamb that had the texture and taste of rubber. £13 for a chicken breast that dryer than the Sahara. £38 for 2 seafood paella’s that were all but inedible, the seafood was that I can only describe as “chewy” at best, majority of the mussels where closed and the dish had no flavour! A chicken burger that I had to send back as I asked for no mayo, which seem like they just wipe off and put back on the grill for a few extra minutes = dry AF Arroz Latino - which was just stingy beef swimming in oil with chilli and a side of rice. Hopefully this review does what I intend it to do and gives this place the kick up the backside so they can get back to the place the prior made it out to be!

First time in this lovely restaurant and we were not disappointed. Tapas was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will be returning for sure. Thank you!

We were looking for change in our friday curry routine. And chinese, thai and turkish had all been ruled out. So we opted for a bit of tapas. We were welcomed and seated by friendly waitress and as we chose from menu, we listened to live pianist and snacked free nibbles. The food was excellent, I cannot choose a favourite, but the aubergines, chicken livers and prawns were among the highlights. Deserts, coffee and liqueurs followed all of which were excellent. Then to round it off a very reasonable bill. All of us enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.

I really, really want to love this place. I’ve been here several times and always have the tapas. It’s amazing. But. Service is either bad, average or good. Never consistent. Tonight we had to ask for house bread about 5 times and waited well over an hour for our food. When it arrived it was great. I could pick a hundred holes in the service but at least the food was wonderful. I spent years as a waitress so I know about the difficulties faced waiting tables. Icing on the cake. A bottle of wine on the menu at £18.95 was charged at £19.95. Only a pound but it’s the principle. Such a shame. This place could be so amazing. Very frustrating.

No mushrooms, no butter for bread. DONT BOTHER, TO EXPENSIVE . Ambiance is not good for these prices

Really loved this place atmosphere was great staff very friendly food was great we had the tapas was a bit like being on holiday with the atmosphere in this place would deffo recommend very reasonably priced give it a go you won’t be disappointed

After being one of the good customers spending a lot of money ,taking loads of guests and clients to be left with a bad taste in my mouth when I was asked to pay £1.50 for extra bread, then I’ll get the bill on two occasions and find that the bill is wrong to find extra drinks put on the bill and extra food on two occasions,,, I was told that it was the machine That printed out the bill not the staff that entered wrong in to the machine???? And after waiting for a long time because they’ve got our order wrong you would expect to have a complimentary drink as a incentive to not complain, but no when we got the bill it was wrong again so I won’t be going back to this place Although the food was lovely and couldn’t be faulted

Me and hubby ate here (again) on Saturday evening. Atmosphere was very buzzing again with a lovely feel. Restaurant...well the pub was busy! Sat near to the kitchen. Service was actually very slow but we didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush and had a few drinks. I had the nachos to start and completely regretted them when they came out as I remembered I’d had them before and boy there so dry! You don’t put enough dip out with them I ate them cause I’d ordered them but never again! Then we had the sharing paella that we’d had before and again simply delicious 😋 absolutely love it! Had it before and highly recommend!! Great pub in Cheshunt we will be back 😁

We had starters of ribs and gambas that were ok but nothing special and pretty expensive for what we had. Then we had the marisco paella, that was basically stodgy rice with a few bits of fish and calamari and lots of red pepper. The menu said it had king prawns, and this was provided by means of 2 prawns that were sent to us on a small dish, after the paella was served, not even part of the paella. I was asked about the paella by the staff and i told them it was not paella, as it had not been served or made in a paella dish and did not have a crispy base which is a requirement of paella. I was told that the reason was that it was cooked in the oven which meant the base was not crispy. Very disappointed and afraid I will not be returning as I have had a tesco paella ready meal that was better.

I have lived in Broxbourne for many years but still hadn’t tried this restaurant that has been open for quite a few years. So I suggested to friends and we gave it a try. We were all very pleased that we did. The food was good, rich with Spanish flavour. We ordered tapas for some starters and main dishes after. The chicken livers in a creamy sauce, Kalamari with chorizo, shredded pork were delicious tapas. The mains were good too. A couple of small snags. The patatas bravas were not smothered in salsa and the churros ordered for dessert looked like flat breads and the accompanying chocolate sauce was ordinary. Generally good food, with good service. Prices are average but you do get what you will pay for. I do recommend this place.

Ate here on Saturday evening with my hubby.. Place was full. Had a 3 course meal and it was delicious! Free pieces of cheese bread is offered whilst waiting, what a lovely touch. Had battered octopus to start and was yummy! Hubby had fried halloumi and again delicious! Nice timings between courses your not rushed at all! Young lovely waitress was serving us and was very attentive. We shared a paella for 2! Wow what a wonderful portion! Excellent size and simply delicious again. We then actually managed a dessert because your not rushed between courses! Cheesecake and waffle for hubby ended a lovely meal! Highly recommend, this wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last! Only negative but only a little one is most tables had a nice table cloth on ... the odd one didn’t ours being one of those, think table looks nicer with the tablecloth! Added with the lovely lit candle the place feels romantic! 😊

We booked a table on Father’s Day for 13, a large booking and a busy day, I very much appreciate that. We were separated on to two tables next to each other in an L-shape, which was fine but quite squashed. After sitting down for around 20-30 minutes we asked if would order a drink (the earlier members of our party did have theirs). Then we asked if we could see a menu and after another long wait they got round to taking our orders. Our booking was for 3pm and we didn’t get our starters until 4.50pm! When we asked when they were coming, the children were extremely hungry and unsettled by this point, we were told a few minutes,no apology. After the starter, my 86 year old nan had to leave - she had had enough of waiting, it was too noisy in there for her (the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak across the tables) and it was claustrophobic for her with the squashed in tables. We waited a while longer for our main and the food was mainly all great. My paella was delicious but the nachos were lacking in cheese for my taste!Instead of ordering dessert, we had all had enough of waiting around, we paid up and had dessert at home. I think the experience could have been improved if there was more communication or apology from the staff. There wasn’t any ‘sorry you have waited so long’ or ‘sorry for the delay’. In fact when we asked how long it was going to be the response was quite abrupt. They are clearly overworked and definitely need more staff on these busier days. I think it would be fine for a date night or dinner with friends when you can enjoy the lively atmosphere but for a family meal, definitely not and we will never be returning.

Came here early evening on a Friday night, service was very efficient and friendly. We shared seafood tapas which was fantastic, still sizzling when it came out. For main I had fish and my partner had halloumi salad, both were fresh and not like anywhere we’ve had before. This is a friendly family run restaurant, in an area with very few fresh and authentic food options. Good for veggie/vegans/foodies. Will visit again soon.

Great vegetarian Tapas (6 choices for veggies) Very tasty! Complimentary cute choc ices at the end. Highly recommend.

A friend recommended we try Elcurioso, and wow they wasn't wrong. We went along on a Wednesday night when they do an offer of 3 Tapas for £10, the Tapas were very tasty and authentic. We then shared a Paella Valencia which was also very tasty matched with a lovely bottle of Rioja. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we will definitely be going back.

This place is a little gem and easy to drive past and not notice. The Paella is to die for as is the Tapas (ended up having both !) . Also do fabulous steaks, freshly made pizza and a host of other fab dishes if tapas not your thing. Friendly ,attentive staff and a great vibe. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for four including one child. Having never been before we had no idea what the set up was with tables but had heard food was good. Upon arrival we were given a table for four in the bar area. Baring in mind we had booked for 5 o'clock they were not busy in the other parts of the pub. We asked twice if we cld move but were told "No, because other people were coming." Was told you have to request where to sit when you book. How could you possibly know if you have never been before. Why don't they ask when you book? The reason we wanted to move was because the small bar area was taken up with lots of men having a drink, which we weren't expecting to eat amongst, and we felt uncomfortable espescially with our young son because of the language he was hearing. By the time we left, which was just after 7pm, only one table had been occupied in the 'restuarant' area so we cld have been moved. Food was nothing to shout about either. Seafood paella was stodgy with hardly any seafood. Steak calzone was lacking steak, chicken burger, apparently marinated in their special sauce, was non existent. Lighting could be just a bit brighter to see what you're eating. Definately not a child friendly place. There are a couple of much better eateries nearby to cater for famalies with much better food.

This is the second visit for us. Previously it was midweek and was a lovely first visit. Tonight we chose a sat night. We were greeted by a pleasant waitress who quickly took our orders. A very helpful Waiter (Kian) followed up with helpful guidance of dishes - some prefer it hot, some not and it was very thoughtfully presented to our exact requirements. A most pleasant surprise was a pianist playing in the background... all in all a great night. We hope to be back!

Great food, service and ambience. And all at a reasonable price. Went with friends, who had eaten there before and loved it - it lived up to their hype! Everything tasted authentic, spicy, tasty, generous portions but no totally overwhelming - I would recommend going for three each of the tapas menu and sharing.. terrific value. Lovely vibe and would definitely go again when I am next in the area.

This was our first visit to this place and only found out about it through a advert being posted in my letter box.The decor is in keeping with the food on offer and looks quite authentic. The menu is not large but offers a good spread of dishes. I ordered the sea food paella for my mains which was very filling and tasted fine but most of the sea food in it was very over cooked and chewy. The only complaint we had was the wait between courses with our main courses being served up over 45 mins after we had finished our starters! We will return in the near future as the staff are trying very hard to please which should be applauded in this day and age

Popped in here Friday evening quite late but still serving food. Barmaid (maybe she runs the pub) was very welcoming and very smily to customers. Lovely waiter took our order. We ordered chilli prawns and coated halloumi which were both delicious Then had a sharing paella and boy it was amazing! Loved it!

Popped in on Sunday at halftime during the England match absolutele great atmosphere very busy drinks and food following great service, went back again on Thursday night to watch the football again with my husband and friends and yet again great service friendly service from all the team who work there Sheila who runs one of the bars is absolutely amazing,happy,friendly,fantastic service throughout the whole evening spot on. Wonderful lady

Went as a last minute get together with a friend on a Friday night. Service was brilliant, really friendly and attentive. Food was gorgeous, starters, mains, a bottle of wine and 2 coffees was just over £50. Will be back 100%

The worst nightmare when travelling with kids (11, 10 and 6) is when they are tired, need to be fed and it's a little late in the evening. The food was very nice. It goes down very quickly with no fuss and a thumbs up from all 3 + my wife. The paella + sangria deal for 21GBP is very good deal. Everything for 45GBP. V good. Thank you.

Visited after reading reviews. Service very slow. Mains were over an hour. No apology from waitress as to why they were taking so long considering no one else was having food but our table. Very let down with my so-called skewers with 3 pieces of lamb & 2 pieces of chorizo sliced in half! £15 for a plate of rice. Totally rip-off. Won’t be back.

This truly is a hidden gem. We discovered it unexpectedly via tripadvisor because we were in the area. The tapaa are absolutely delicious and veey generous portions just like the mains! We actually took the rest of the good with us because it was too good to leave it there!! Its so nice inside and warm and decorated with good taste.

Five friends for a night out we have been before and recommended to our friends so we booked a table and took them. They were so impressed with everything the staff are friendly and knowledgeable the food was lovely we had tapas but you can order of the the menu and the atmosphere is like your on holiday a real gem of a restaurant on our doorstep will be going again and again

Came here tonight on a whim. It's lovely. The tapas was lush, great vegetarian options. The service was great so they must have read the previous reviews as the staff couldn't do enough for us. Piping hot and tasty fresh food, staff went to extra lengths to make a super fussy partner his favourite drink.

Visited with parents and arrived about 7:45pm, we were seated straight away and given menus. When the waitress returned to take our drinks order she said the kitchen had had a rush so our order couldn't be taken for 15 minutes. Our order eventually got taken at over 20 minutes later.

As this was a spontaneous visit I didn't look on TripAdvisor beforehand. Having done so since eating there the thing that strikes me is that ALL of the bad reviews (and they go back ten years) are about the slow/poor service. Surely the owners must have read them which begs the question, why don't they fix it?

Popped in here for a drink Saturday afternoon... Done this a few times whilst walking past on a sunny day! Get a chair on the little decking outside and watch the world go by! Highly recommend:)

I love the place, the food and the staff. The paella is to die for. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed. The manager Yunik, (if I got the spelling wrong I apologise) she is amazing, extremely friendly and competent. I go to this little gem quite regularly and the food is always fantastic. You can tell everything is super fresh. It's a brilliant place.

Me and my husband have been in here many times for a drink but never eaten in there. We have missed out big time. The food was amazing the service was great and the Cuban vibe makes you feel like you're on holiday. Definitely going back such variety on the menu got lots to try.

Long story short. We go in on a Saturday, 9:15 pm wanting to get some food,drinks and even a shisha. I ask the lady at the till and she says food is served until 10. We sit down look over the menu and when we go to arder 10 minutes later, to our surprise she said they decided to close the kitchen early because it's been a "hectic day".Disappointing and overall negative experience, especially considering it's on a busy summer's Saturday!

We booked a table here for a party of 10. They had to take our order 3 times because their system crashed. The staff could seem to grasp that there was 10 of us. We order two bottles of water for the table and only 5 water glasses came out. It was 40 minutes before they bought out more glasses. Starters took an hour and twenty minutes to come out. When we eventually received our main course. We had to tell them what orders were missing and wait for them. I ordered tapas and it was delicious. The food over all was superb once it actually came out. No one had a complaint about the actual food, other than how long it took to be served and the dishes they had forgotten about. The metal banister by the stairs is extremely sticky and disgusting. They have no baby changing facilities. The staff were very moody and straight faced. They avoid looking at your table, so you have to go to the bar or stand up and find a member of staff if you need anything. We bought a cake for the birthday girl. They happily bought it out for us. But yet again they can not count. There was ten of us and the only bought out 6 plates. By the time we got hold of the staff some of us had fished cake and just gave the plate to the next person it was ridiculous. The food was delicious so I would come back her again, however hopefully they will actually put their staff through training.

This is a lovely restaurant in a traditional old coach house. The food is of a high standard & the price is very, very reasonable. They do lovely fresh deserts & is a great place to go & have a drink. We do enjoy the pianist who plays there occasionally in the week!! If you've not been, you must go!!

Visited with a friend for girlie catch up - food excellent and service excellent. Will definitely be back!!

Came here last night with friends,it was recommended from a friend.Staff polite and helpful and food when we eventually got it was delicious,the only downside was it took 3 hours to have all our courses.I don't like to be rushed when at a restaurant but this was too long to wait.They had a lady playing a piano.

We visited this restaurant in January as we had some friends visiting us and we're new to the area. It was a lovely experience. Food was great. We had a selection of tapas and we had the valencia paella which was lovely.The managress made us feel welcome as we explained this is our first visit and she went through the menu with us. Will definitely be back again.

The staff are amazing, amazing food, wouldn't eat in anywhere but here around cheshunt!!! Very good value for money!

We've been using this place quite a lot for the past 3 years. When we first found it we thought it was the best ever but over time it's just getting worse. You used to change the menu frequently but that's not been done for ages now and the menu is limited with nothing exciting on it now. The last few times we have been there has been mistakes in our order which we let go cos we are hungry but it seems the staff aren't bothered about this problem, the staff are killing the place. The manger (black lady) is sooo arrogant and ignorant and very very rude! how she's running such a nice place I don't know. All the staff are messy with no dress code, bring back the days of male staff. A stern male manager would shake the place up and make it what it was a few years ago. The food is still ok though but we won't be rushing back as there are so many great restaurants in cheshunt now. I hope you listen to me as the staff are ruining your restaurant.

I have been going the Curioso off and on for 18 months and I have been bso offended by the staff I have been impelled to make this review. The ambience is great, the food only okay but the staff n have never been friendly, even though they have been through a few! ;they need to learn some manner. Will probably be 18 months before I go back.

Gave Elcurioso a visit with some friends for a catch up. We decided to choose from the Tapas menu, we ordered 9 different dishes and were very impressed with the food presented, very tasty and well presented and served, bar staff were very nice and friendly. It isn't a big place but is recommended, they also supply a normal menu. Will be going back for more. The bill was very pleasing also, not a lot of money for 3 of us.

First time visit to this great little restaurant, booked a table for 4 people, as we were trying to impress friends, great food , didn't feel rushed at all , nice touch was the young girl playing the piano , wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others , planning our next visit already , thanks for a great night ...

Met here as a big family group wanting to catch up at a leisurely pace. We had a variety of meals from the menu, specials and tapas. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed everything (I especially loved the herby rice - put the recipe on your website, please!) We weren't at all rushed and enjoyed a long Sunday afternoon together. One thing we did notice was that there is no specific children's menu.

A lovely Pub and staff !! Food always good and value for money ! Also have a big seated area and lovely grounds!

This was our first visit and what a delight it was! Good atmosphere and choice of food. The tapas was tasty and very enjoyable. Our waitress Jessica was a delight. Attentive but not overly so and if she didn't know the answer to something ie gluten free options, went away and found out, coming straight back. It was a really nice evening, will be returning.

Very lovely food but we had to wait quite a while. It's always busy and very loud. If you're looking for quick food and your order not being missed or messed up this is not the place for you. But if you are having a more social meal where you don't mind sitting there a little while longer then you'll have a great time here!

I was travelling from Theydon Bois and picked this place out 'on-line' by chance, as I was meeting a new friend for dinner in the Cheshunt area. It didn't disappoint as the atmosphere, ambience and level of service was spot on for the type of company I was with. I suspect we will both be visiting there again in the future, hopefully together!

Sunday afternoon in the Coach and Horses, good service, a bit slow at times but we weren't in a rush. I was looking forward to a roast but it wasn't on the menu that day. The menu was varied with a few unusual dishes. There were four of us and we all enjoyed the food, drinks and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere .

We knew the Coach and Horses when it was a quaint drinkers pub several years ago, so a pleasant surprise when we turned up on Saturday night, not having pre booked, to a warm welcome and the gorgeous aroma of garlic and choritzo. We ordered tapas - Cuban style - the meatballs were divine, more work needed on the calamari, halloumi is a must ! We will be back with the family ( thanks for the Kurros !!!)

Really quaint with a lovely chilled atmosphere. Great Tappas. Gets busy so book a table.I like it, never had a unpleasant meal Give it a go it's got to be one of the better eating places in this area if you don't want pub food or a curry.

Had a walk into town but walked the extra half mile to go here. Really glad I did.I had the Tapas 3 items for £11.95 during the week. I had 4 thinking they would be small. I could have got away with 3. Best Tapas i have eaten in the UK.Service was attentive without being overbearing and very friendly. Would very happily go back.

Lovely food in this small but friendly Spanish (Cuban?) influenced pub/restaurant.We had a load of well presented Tapas,wine and desserts for the kids and it was about £80 for 4 of us which is pretty good value.The female I assume owner came over several times to see if we were OK and the rest of the staff were friendly and efficientRecommended

Came here on Easter Monday with no reservation.. Pub was packed and we were told wait would be about 25 mins for food which was fine as we weren't in a rush. Really nice landlady gave us bread on the house while we waited which thought was a lovely touch. Thought the 2 young waitresses were very nice and really efficient! They seemed to know what they were doing and did there job very well. Starters of hulumi with chilli on it and I had a stuffed mushroom.. Very tasty but did think rather small for the price. Then I had mixed seafood tagnetelli it was delicious and really good size. Hubby had burger and chips said was nice but nothing special. Did really like it in here and the atmosphere is really nice! I would recommend and we will be back

Smaller portions! Over priced! Long wait! Iceland pizza! Not good!! Wouldn't go back even if was half the price Chicken wings £4.50 for Two!! Pizza was something out of Iceland Chicken tower was dry and small portion of chips Could of got all this from supermarket and cooked better myself Waste of time!

I've used this place many times and always found it very welcoming. Friendly staff, good choice of drinks and a good, varied menu. The Paella is well worth a try, gorgeous. As are the Tapas.... If you like Spanish style food, you will enjoy it here.

A great little pub which places its emphasis on its restaurant which has a Spanish/Cuban twist. We've eaten there four times now and on each occasion we've been delighted with the meal, the lovely atmosphere and the friendly staff. Everything is freshly cooked and we particularly enjoyed trying the various tapas dishes. It's a pleasant surprise to find a quality restaurant at a reasonable price and with a quirky feel to it in the Cheshunt/Waltham Cross area! Give it a try!

First visit. Having a relaxing drink with friends when we were told the table was booked for 6.30....and we should order at 6.30....seemed odd to think it was not that busy. The piella ordered was rather tasty and not that badly priced. Then the staff seemed VERY eager to clear the table. Thus the pressurised atmosphere sadly detracted from the meal.

The Restaurant in the Coach and Horses has now been renamed Elcurioso and indeed it is a bit of a curiosity, but one which I visit on a regular basis. You could easily drive by without noticing it as it's situated on the end of a terrace of houses. The outside looks like a pub and when you enter it's like nowhere else I know. Cosy, Cuban themed but not overly done, open fire in the winter, intimate bar, maybe salsa music playing or a lady playing the piano. The food is very tasty with a selection of Tapas, burgers, pasta, chicken and salads plus more. The staff are friendly and helpful. During the week there's a lovely laid-back atmosphere with just a few regulars drinking at the bar but it's never empty and always a pleasure to visit.If you're in the vicinity and looking for a bite to eat it's definitely one of the best restaurants in the area, give it a try. I usually go on a Monday or Thursday with my husband so don't normally need to book but suspect it gets busy on the weekends.

Small car park, an old fashioned pub that's been turned into a Tapas bar but with Pizza, Pasta, Burgers etc on the menu.pleasant staff. Was virtually empty at 1.30. Good choice of drinks & 10 different Vegetarian tapas (plus meat & fish). Complimentary Spanish bread. We slightly over ordered (6 tapas& chips) and had small beer & drinks after (coffee/fresh mint tea) and Bill inclusive of Tip was £35. Definitely to go again, ideal for a group.

Visited Sunday 10 January 2015 and so good revisited Wednesday 13 January. The outside look of the building is not representative of the inside - which is the only negative - step inside it is excellent. Good food, good service, the best San Miguel on draft I have had in the UK. Really good tapas menu, tasty, well presented. Mini choc ices with bill a nice touch. I really wish this place the very best.Will now always visit before I go to watch Leicester beat Tottenham as great train link to WHL.

The bar and eating area are quite small. There were a lot of people at the bar waiting to be served. Service was slow as there were only two people working in the bar. The food took quite a long time to be served. Again due to there only being 2 waitreses. Food was ok. Parking is a bit of a nightmare as the car park is small. The pub is on the main road with limited parking.

The food was well cooked but quite small portions. I would imagine very popular in the evenings. Very limited parking.I think the menu is more popular with the younger generation as it is geared up for Tapas and Pizza but I had breast of chicken which was delicious.

Haven't been to this pub for ages was nice and cosy Inside with a lovely open fire. The food was really nice and what impressed me was the plates were really warm and the food hot . Definitely have to book this place as it's very popular especially at weekends.

Visited here with a friend last night. Loved the food! The tapa's was well cooked and with quite a large selection to choose from. The Tiger prawns were massive and cooked to perfection. And the churros were amazing! After a large meal I would suggest you have a portion of these to share. Will def be visiting again. Book to avoid disappointment because this place gets busy and rightly so.

We discovered this place a few months ago and have been back on a regular basis because of the great food and service so I did not look elsewhere when I wanted to arrange my husband's 70th birthday party. A momentous event so I wanted it to be perfect! Both Darius and Daymee could not have been more helpful in the organising of our buffet, suggesting a variety of dishes for our buffet and accommodating our various needs (one person with a nut allergy and a vegan guest).We had the place to ourselves and the event was a great success with all the guests raving about the food and the great time they had. The cost was reasonable too. So thank you Coach and Horses and I can't wait to come back for a meal there!

Just spent an evening here as a group of 14: food and drinks all lovely, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely chilled atmosphere in a pretty building - lots of nice little touches too; bread appetisers, choc ice nibbles for dessert - both on the house. Thank you Coach and Horses.

Yet another delicious meal. Great service and great food the only problem is what to order, everything looks so tempting. Never disappoints.

The coach and Horses is by far the best place to eat around in this location for a number of reasons. Firstly being a foodie I can confirm the food is second to none. All home made (so please be patient - you cannot expect home made food to be brought up in 15 minutes). There is such a broad choice of food on the menu from meat; fish, gorgeous tapas along with one of the best paellas I've ever tasted. It caters for all dietary requirements. I am gluten free and there are several choices that I can have. Very reasonably priced with great ambience. I am a regular here and use it for family occasions, it's also very sweet and perfect for couples or just a nice gathering for friends. It also has a lovely private room upstairs which can also be used. It would be nice to see a few specials that diffef from the standard menu time to time to offer a few different choices and also a gluten free dessert please! Otherwise I'm a very Happy Customer. I tell everyone I can about this place. Would also be good to see a few extra staff on weekends during busier periods. Thanks and keep it up!

Decided to visit as there were such good reviews on trip advisor. Wasnt disappointed, the food was good although we did have to wait quite a while for it to appear. The tapas were very nice.There is a very good choice of food on the menu as well. One thing to look out for though, they put a service charge on the bill and if you look at the small print it is for parties over 6 and there was only 2 of us, so not too impressed with that. I would come again though

My husband and I visited on Friday, October 02nd for dinner. We were shown to our reserved table immediately and drinks order taken. Our starters were beautifully cooked, I had the mushroom with goat's cheese and pine nuts, it was delicious, my husband had the Peri peri chicken skewers, which was yum!Our main courses were both enjoyable, and portion sizes adequate.We also found the prices very reasonable. What was rather impressive was having the manageress come over to our table to have a chit chat about the visit.We gave her our feedback, as my husband's house marinade was a bit salty. Visited with friends and our daughters for a lunchtime catch up. I had the paella and they all had pizza although i want to go back to have the tapas! Very good quality and my paella had an abundance of chicken and prawns. It was huge and I struggled to eat most of it. The pizzas were large and well topped too and much better quality than most places I've had pizza. The only let down I felt was that they don't do Sangria to accompany the Spanish dishes.It's a small and intimate pub/restaurant and would have a great feel at night.Will be back!

We used to love this restaurant but last few times we have been has been appalling!! Last time we visited we were a table of 4 on a Wednesday night, we had made a reservation and I had been saying how lovely it was in there (how embarrassed I turned out to be!) When we walked in, there were no staff to be seen other than the manager off duty eating at the bar. We stood for a while unable to even get a drink and then the off duty manager said it that's your table there, we sat down waited a while for the lady to come over, ordered a bottle of wine, 1 coke and a jug of water at first, this took 15-20mins to come from the bar 2 metres away from us!! We waited a while to order (about 15mins) I will admit to that as we thought having a drink with our friends would be nice before food. What a mistake, she didn't come out from the back for ages and when she did she didn't have a pad to write our order and had to go back! We ordered 4 mains and the took 1 hour and 15 mins to come out. We were getting quite agitated and very hungry so I asked how much longer our food will be, she said it was just coming but no apologies. The food was tasty as always but you just cannot be waiting that long for food or drinks! We ate our mains and asked for the bill. We decided not to wait until midnight for dessert! When our bill came over they had the cheek to have put a service charge on it, which we did not pay. We put our cash on the tray and walked out.Unfortunately as we hadn't waited for her to collect the bill we missed off the coke (£1.75) without realising. We just pulled upon our driveway to a phone call, 'you haven't paid all your bill it's £10 short you need to come back and pay it' i said no we are not paying the service charge it wasn't worth it she then replied 'well it's still £1.75 short' i said to her really you want me to drive all the way back now at 10:30pm for the price of 1 coke? She said yes so I said I can't can I bring it tomorrow and she said well I suppose I can sub you it. The next day I took in a £2 coin and gave it to the manager who clearly knew none of this had happened as I said sorry this is for the coke but I'm not paying for that service she looked at me bewildered and didn't say sorry or anything so I left.

Food is beautiful, big play area for kids, staff are friendly, beers are cold, what more could you want?

Visited today for a birthday treat with family. Great service and great food. Highly recommended. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Regularly visit the coach either for dinner with the other half or just a few relaxed beers with the lads.Can't recommend highly enough, tapas is lovely and the drinks are well priced, can't go wrong!

had a not too good experience a few months back as a couples evening but went back with a friend and tried again only to be disapointed yet again. We had booked but when walked in waited 10 minutes at the bar to be shown to our table and in the end had to grab someone. once shown to our table waited 40 minutes before we could grab someone again and ask for drinks!!!!! They then said what do you want and we said can we have the drinks list and the MENU!!! Once food ordered waited an age again before got the food but once it came we could not fault it. Why oh Why is it so difficult for this place to get it right- they have what seems ample staff but they just are not attentive enough,if there had been anywhere in walking distance we would have got up and left.This time will definately NOT be going back.

As a first time visitor to this venue it offered a warm and welcoming ambiance. The food was lovely with good sized portions. Really liked the understated but very tasteful decor. Will definitely be making another visit.

Came here for a birthday meal as heard good things about it. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food, I had a pizza and it was real nice. A couple of people had burgers which looked excellent and the portion sizes were decent. Wasnt overly expensive and the service was good. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and revisited on Saturday, and although we hadn't booked we were seated quickly despite the restaurant being packed. We were told that we would need to wait a while to order but were able to order the drinks, but waiting whilst sipping their delicious mojitos is hardly a chore, especially with such a great atmosphere.As always the food was great and excellent value, I had the veggie paella and my husband the fish, highly recommended.Agreed the food may take a little longer than some restaurants but it is worth the wait it is all freshly prepared and cooked and always served hot.As always the staff are attentive and friendly nothing is too much trouble.We will be going to their Jamaican night on Thursday, which is one of a number of themed nights.If you haven't been do your taste buds a favour and visit.

We live in London and visit this little pub/tapas bar when visiting family in the area. It is right closed to Theobalds Grove Train station and we love itIf you just want a drink or food as well its a quaint little place with lots of character.

We stopped to ear here on a whim - no booking - on a Saturday Night around 6pm We were seated straight away...and served straight away. Our food was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time - and was absolutely fabulous!!Cooked to perfection - and very tasty. We would definitely go back to this restaurant again, and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys good food.

Popped in here for lunch with some work colleagues (found it on TripAdvisor). I booked online which was quick and easy.When we got there we noticed a lunchtime deal where you get any pizza, pasta or tapas and a pint for £5.99 which we took advantage of!We each had a pizza or pasta dish and they were big portions and all really tasty. They also bought us some bread baskets to start, table water and also some mini choc ices with the bill - all for free! Incredible value for such good food. To top it all off, the staff were all lovely and friendly. We all left really happy and are definitely planning to come here again very soon!!

Just driving through and chose this pub based on the trip advisor rating. Wasn't sure what to expect as we entered but it was a lovely pub and the food was incredible! We'll definitely be stopping again!

Another fantastic meal. Awesome waitress, fabulous food just love it here. What more could you want fantastic food, great drinks and great service on my doorstep a winner every time.
