Very friendly place for a bite to eat.

Great spot for a walk, functioning toilets as well. The cafe is quite small inside, but there is plenty of outside seating. Menu is basic but full of good food for filling up after lunch, during or before a walk/hike - think muffins (bread rollfor anyone south of Stockport), pies, pasties, jackets, toasties etc. All decent stuff, and the fruit scones are a treat, as was the spam & egg muffin....

Good coffee, friendly service and homely food - this is a great place to stop for refreshment during or after a walk. Generous amount of free parking if you wish to start your walk from here, but note it gets very busy on weekends. Indoor seating is limited, outdoor seating is plentiful.

Apparently the cafe closes at 4 pm in winter. Could the cafe owner please keep the hours up to date on google maps and on the visit Lancashire website? It’s a nasty surprise for people coming from away to find the cafe nearly shut when supposedly it should still be open for another hour. Thankfully the nice girl working there made me a quick coffee anyway, so thanks to her!

Called at the cafe after a lovely snowy walk. Ordered a delicious hot chocolate and buttered tea cake. Perfect. A little gem of a cafe in gorgeous surroundings, well worth a visit.

Lovely scenery with a chance of seeing of lesser seen birds. Sea Eagle in the past, frequent siskins and stonechat.

Do like it here. Friendly service and good breakfast baps. Can sit outside under cover. A regular jaunt.

Great food. Highly recommended the plate pie and pea. Quality & value for food and drink. Service a bit slow but all food cooked to order. Inside has now re-opened so bonus on a wet day.

A really great place to meet friends for a coffee or a snack. ( I loved the hot dogs!) Some Al fresco cover which is useful in our climate! Really nice staff too.

Pleasent little cafe,( outdoor seating only) open everyday of the year 10am till 4.30pm. Nice surroundings watching and listening to the birds chirping. Plenty of walks or bike rides around the area. Staff friendly prices very reasonable. Good size car park, disabled toilet and wheelchair accessible.

Food was good and tasty but it does cost £15 for two breakfasts yesterday which I think is far too dear for 2 people and also your toilet’s in the boys bathrooms are absolutely shocking though no toilet seat to sit on so clearly no one to care for disabled people with disabilities and the tap was not even working to wash your hands either and it was not clean at all clearly this place needs to hire more staff as this is quite worrying for me on what the disabled people would do. I’m not impressed

Lovely little pit stop but they stop serving food after 2:30/3. Still have coffe/tea/cake and ice-cream. There's also no inside seating but some seating under a canopy.

Hidden gem off the Grane Road. Great place for a pit stop, chill & a brew & a bite to eat, surrounded by nature. Full facilities. Friendly peopled.👍👍👍

Lovely little place , only discovered it today

Particularly nice today with the snow. Lovely walk along the reservoir with small wooded area. Good pathways and hills to see the windmills. Cafe here too for food, drinks and toilet.

I've had just two experiences with this Cafe. First one, my friend received his Fish finger butty . . . With just the lettuce and no Fish fingers! My second experience was recent, when they advised before I sett off on my walk, that their last orders for cooked food is four o'clock. My friend and I, ravenous after our brisk walk around the reservoir, rushed the last half to get back in time and we queued up at 3.50pm. Only to be told they had, had to stop serving food at 3.15pm because they had run out of stock, no more food. They had underestimated their requirements for what was a beautiful sunny day! Underestimate your business and I don't somehow seeing you becoming a success. The shame is, their food, when you receive ALL of it, is quite nice.

Beautiful and tasty cappuccino, price's are good. Staff really friendly and helpful, thank You guys! :) Car park is free, but do not have a lot of spaces, so who get there fist then get the parking spot. Toilets are in good condition. Nice walks around! If you're around, then it is good place to stop, definitely worth it ! 👌🏻☕🫖 Ps. And yes, you can buy there refreshments, food smell so good (you can feel it from car park 😋) and coffee is delicious! :)

We love visiting this little cafe after a good walk about the Grane. I'm loathe to rave about the fantastic pork pies incase other people start ordering them all, leaving none for me! But they are really delicious. Even the coffee is good. Love the little covered area they've now created for rainy days. My only thought would be why they are no longer opening the indoor cafe seating area, which is a shame.

Been here many times. Our recent visit did not disappoint. Bacon and egg bap to die for. Quality local ingredients on fresh bread served by friendly, caring staff at a very reasonable price in beautiful surroundings. Just perfect in every way .

Nice friendly folk and two teas, two teacakes and a pair of crumpets was only £6.80, which is pretty good these days. The parking is free until they lock the carpark. Good walking around the area that isn't too difficult, for example down to the reservoirs or up through the woods.

Outside seating, public toilets and car park. Good base for local country walks.

No signs saying service outside so walk into cafe to be ABRUPTLY told to go outside off the young blonde girl and we will come to you. Disgusting way to be spoken to. Many other people did the same as us with the same response. Quite a few people was upset and some even walked away.

If I could give 10 stars for this place I would, it has everything you need there from parking to toilet facilities and all the walks and views surrounding the place, my clients love it there, I love it there, my fiancee loves it there and my dog loves it there too especially getting a treat off them and some attention too, all staff are amazing, happy and friendly people who make you feel so welcome, I just couldn't recommend it more to anyone who hasent been, even when it is busy due to been so popular they still manage to find away to take care of everyone's order and get food and drinks out to them in good time, good food at good prices.... Credit to them all for making it such a welcoming place

You wouldn't want to turn up here and stay past half five because they lock the gates but we visited during the day so we're fine. We had a brew and a burger. Now over the years I have tasted many a burger from a cafe and been dissatisfied with the quality and ability to cause indigestion but the Clough head cafe burger was none of those things. It was tasty, in a fresh t cake and topped with delicious freshly fried onions at just the right level of oniony sweet yumminess. In fact I would go so far as to say it's worth a visit to this cafe to try the burger alone. Coffee was good too. I'd definitely recommend

Lovely food at Clough Head Cafe!

One of my favourite places to sit and have a brew on a sunny day. Lovely views, lovely staff and lots of birds around to enjoy watching (of the feathered variety). Truly a fantastic stop off to either start or end your walk.

Didn't stop as I was working but it is a great place for a walk and a bite to eat.

This place is perfect to take an energetic dog. Enjoyed our brief visit,defwill be back.

Food made fresh to order, great taste. Realistic pricing. Outside seating is available but minimal protection from the wind, so make sure you have hold of things when eating.

A very busy place but staff still managed to provide hot, tasty food with a low waiting time at a good price. Turnover of seating is quite quick as are spaces in car park. Well worth a visit in lovely surroundings.

A great little cafe ! Good menu for lunch and very reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly. The young girl who served us was constantly smiling and very chatty with the customers. An absolute credit . Dog friendly. Lovely place fir bird watching due to bird stations very near. Definitely recommend

Walked here from haslingden, had breakfast and coffee then wandered back to haslingden through the rossendale way, through the moorland and hills.

It was brilliant .& special the harks & owls were there from Lancashire harks & owls .
