Took my girlfriend here. Good service, friendly staff. Great view of Manchester. That is the main reason for coming here - otherwise somewhere else is probably a better bet. Mocktails were a fair price for the upmarket place it claims to be, though I'd have liked the added service charge to be optional. Cheesecake was of good quality and respectable pricing. Not sure I'd come back due to the upmarket cost, but it was a positive experience overall.

Birthday drinks with my wife and it didn’t disappoint. Seated at a window table and really attentive and knowledgeable service. Great advice on cocktail choice and of course a brilliant view. Clearly not a cheap experience but very worth it for a special treat.

I love the view here, while enjoying afternoon tea. Nice place to visit for a special occasion. The sandwiches were surprisingly delicious, I particularly liked the carnation chicken and ham in the bun with mustard. You get unlimited options of teas and coffees, which included the cold and hot versions. The lady who served us was attentive and kept topping us up with drinks when required, very friendly and nice. Everything was perfect until the end, the male manager (I think), mentioned we had 5 minutes left, which was fine but he had a bit of an attitude and just kept standing there giving us some look. I’m not normally a person to complain about things, but that really left a bad impression for me, especially if he wanted us to leave quickly, he could have at least brought the bill to speed things up. Disregarding the one unfortunate thing that happened, I’m still happy to give 4* because of everything else and the server who served us.

Treated my mum to an afternoon tea while she was visiting Manchester and we had such a great time. A Tuesday afternoon was nice and quiet so our food and drinks arrived in good time. We were given plenty of time to choose drinks but weren’t left waiting around. The selection of sandwiches suited our tastes perfectly, as I am vegetarian. And the cakes were delicious too. We would go as far to say this was one of the best afternoon teas we have had with a great choice of drinks too. As it was a quiet afternoon, we were allowed to stay beyond our booking time, which was lovely of the staff, so we treated ourselves to cocktails which were amazing also. Thank you to the staff for such a lovely day. We will definitely be back with friends.

This was one of the best English teas I have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing and there were many options for coffee and tea. Our reservation included one cocktail each which was also beautiful. I went with my girl friends and we had a great time. The service was alright, but it was often difficult to get ahold of our waiter and there were many times when we were out of drinks and needed a refill. Other than that, this restaurant was amazing.

It's remarkable how a cocktail bar that encourages you "to dress to impress" fails so miserably to impress its guests with its lacklustre, work-to-contract service. Apart from the great view from the 23rd floor, everything is pretty substandard: the food and drinks are average but overpriced, while the service is below that expected from a bar in a reputable hotel. Sure, you get what's on the menu, but don't bother asking for anything going a bit beyond. I've never heard "I'm sorry, but we don't do that" so many times in a single visit than here (and this after calling ahead). As regular guests of Hilton Hotels, it's a shame we didn't feel comfortable at the sky bar and will be avoiding it for the rest of our stay here as well as on any future stays at the Hilton.

We visited for the Mothers day afternoon tea. Every member of staff was extremely lovely and friendly, we felt so welcomed and happy to be there. The view and amtosphere is great. It is definitely worth the visit. The only issue we had is service was slow for drinks so we only managed to get 1 tea/coffee with the afternoon tea (plus our free mocktail before the food arrived). I appreciate it was a very busy day though. The afternoon tea came out an hour into our booking too and in terms of the sandwiches they weren't very flavourful. I think the view and atmosphere is being included in the price of the afternoon tea as I've had much better afternoon teas for half the price elsewhere. There are only 4 options of tea also. The desserts were nice but mostly on the zingy side instead of a variety. I would definitely come back to try the regular menu out though! Thank you

The views from here are genuinely stunning. Food/drink is pretty good, though not astonishingly so for the price. The only real downside is the tiny wobbly tables for the window seats.

The Mother’s Day afternoon tea seemed to be their standard offering . My daughter booked a window seat and a bottle of Prosecco to accompany. The sandwiches were fresh but a little odd Curried Cauliflower! Also egg mayo (children’s school lunch box selection) and other lack lustre fillings. I don’t mind alternative but I do expect to see the fillings to bear some relation to price paid. Staff were lovely

Absolute fantastic experience! Eve was our tables server last Friday (1st March), she was extremely attentive and knowledgeable - I heard her recommend what I believe was a Mango Mojito for the other table, so I ordered the same and that is now my new FAVOURITE drink! I am definitely coming back as I had such a lovely time! Thank you Eve!!! :)

My friends and I visited Cloud 23 for my birthday, excited to enjoy the city view and celebrate. However, our experience was marred by the rude behavior of the manager. Despite there being available tables, we were rudely told to move from our chosen spot. The manager's demeanor was completely unwelcoming and disrespectful, making us feel like we were back in high school being scolded by a teacher. It's a shame that such behavior overshadowed what could have been a memorable evening. Management needs to address their customer service issues to ensure all guests feel valued and respected.

it is absolutely LUSH here!! me and my partner went for our anniversary, we got a free desert on the house since we told them what the occasion was, i bloody loved it. seeing manchester from so high up was surreal, we didn’t pay extra for window seating since it wasn’t busy but if you know you’re off at a busy time it’s advised to pay for it 🫶🏻🫶🏻 my partner has a fear of heights and he even enjoyed it when he got over how high up he was 😅😅

I took my mum for afternoon tea last Friday and we had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious! The pastrami sandwich was my favourite. Thank you for making our afternoon tea so special!

We had a lovely time. The afternoon tea was DELICIOUS and not disappointing at all. The selection of sandwiches was fantastic, and much more interesting than typical filling choices! Similarly, the choice of cakes was fantastic, and nothing I had ever tried before! I was mainly impressed with the drinks choices. There were multiple choices for hot and cold drinks that were included which was such a treat! And they were unlimited. We also didn't feel rushed at any point. I would highly recommend this for afternoon tea. We had lovely servers, and a gorgeous table right next to the window with a lovely view.

Unbelievable views and usual cocktails! You may need to book, but it's impressive. Table service, only, quite expensive, but swanky!

Very very disappointed I would not waste my time going back, this was for my birthday! the worst service I have ever experienced, we waited 45 mins for our afternoon tea, we only got 3 drinks as there was hardly any waiters around so we waited over 30 mins and we only have 1 hour 45 minutes for afternoon tea, I paid £20 for window seat, the room was cold! Food was very standard too. I would give service 0 starts if I could, I asked for whipped cream on my hot chocolate they didn’t even put that on!

Is Nice bar beautiful scene at night . Suitable for those who are on a date and have a seat at the window looking down from above on the street with lots of lights, very romantic. Sorry I forgot to take pictures last time but I will come next time.

The food was amazing, especially the desserts, the view was gorgeous and the staff were friendly! Worth having an afternoon tea experience here. They have a glass window on the floor looking down to the bottom which is quite a thrill to experience looking down from your feet!

My partner brought me to Cloud23 for a birthday surprise, but I wasn’t pleased at all. Upon arrival, we were sited to a dirty table that had not been cleaned before. The table’s surface was dirty and sticky, while used cutlery and tissues were laying below the table. We ordered 4 drinks and some nibbles, and after a while the drinks arrived but the nibbles didn’t; hence, my partner had to chase them twice. After my partner complained, we received an email with an apology, and an invite to return to the place for some free drinks. The email had someone else’s personal data on it, but we thought it was just a mistake; however, when my partner tried to book our free drinks, we were told they never received our complaint and the email was sent to us by mistake as it was intended for another customer. My partner was then asked to respond highlighting (again) the details of our complaint, to which no response was provided. For a place that pretends to be a “fine” cocktail’s bar, I would have expected a much better experience. Firstly, I expect to find a clean environment, rather than having to seat to a sticky table that resumes a toilet’s floor. Secondly, I expect to receive what I paid for without having to go around chasing missing bits. Finally, when you ask for feedback and receive a complaint, I expect this to be handled in a professional and timely manner, not to receive emails with someone else’s data as, apart from being a breach of the GDPR which I am keen to report, make me feel extremely worried about my personal information.

Visited for my friends 50th mid week afternoon tea and would highly recommend. Cloud 23 is accessed via lift in Hilton hotel lobby. Feels very exclusive and the view was amazing. Excellent choice of food - to suit every palate.

Last visited January 2024 Booked in for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Great views and spacious. Good selection on drinks on the menu. I tend to ask the mixologist for a drink they recommend that's not on the menu.... I'll do this the next time. Will plan another visit soon.

Didn't really enjoy my visit , drinks mega priced, diet Coke equates to over £10 per pint , food was a weird mix and not great quality

First visit today & had 4 glasses of Veuve which is great value! Staff so friendly & the view is amazing, will be calling again.

Had high expectations and the food and space at our table didn't meet those expectations. Food was good but expected it to be great with the high price we paid.

Visited Cloud23 yesterday evening, truely a great experience. The cocktails are so on point, literally the best cocktail I've ever had was the ZEPHYRUS. And the presentation was a 10/10 for sure, also the staff was truely kind and great! For sure I'll be back soon

I should probably start this review by saying this is the first time me and my girlfriend have attended such an event and what an amazing time we have had, the staff were really welcoming and nice, attending 1 and a half hours before New Years gave us enough time to enjoy enough champagne, great cocktails and the really tasty bites! The views of the city at night were just spectacular! It can be a bit pricey but for an event like this I can't complain especially attending for the first time. Would definitely recommend!

Certainly pay for the views over Manchester, but if you're visiting I would certainly suggest this for cocktails.

Eten: Antipasto tower ... was alsof de hapjes rechtstreeks uit de supermarkt kwamen. Bediening: niet attent. Glas met een knal op tafel.

Had an afternoon tea with family here on 30th December. Delicious food and drink in swanky surroundings with great views over Manchester. Served by a very nice waitress called Jenna.

I have never seen a bar like this. First of all it's on the 23th floor with a astonishing view. Secondly it's very elegant with kinda affordable menu! A must see when you visit Manchester.

Poor service. Wasn’t served till 20 minutes but we had to go to the bar to request it once ordered we waited 50 minutes and still had no drinks so went to the bar and they didn’t even know what we had ordered so we left. We paid £50 to just sit there and leave. Don’t waste your money and just stick to little bars they are better!

Me and my partner love this placr. The views are fantastic, the atmosphere is good (minus the odd morons at times who get a little bit to jolly and forget where they are) and the cocktail and alcohol selection, goes down very well. We would like to give a big thank you tp Klaudia (hope this is spelt right) who was very accomodating and alert. Within 10 seconds of finishing a drink, Klaudia was over to remove said drinks and keep the night rolling :) Thanks Cloud 23.

The amazing views take your mind off the fact it needs a revamp, it's looking a bit tired. Had festive afternoon tea, it looked most attractive. The sandwiches and scones were very nice, some of the cakes also but some not so good. Servers were very good, pleasant and helpful. I felt that nothing was too much trouble for them, thank you for that.

Went this evening for drinks. Honestly speaking the service is 10/10. Not to mention the gorgeous view 😍 I would so so highly recommend

Booking of 7 for afternoon tea. Overall a really lovely experience but a couple of little issues that let us down. The first was the lactose-free option arrived as just vegan, which was a shame because they would have liked some of the meat and other festive sandwiches that were offered (with gluten free bread). The second was that we didn’t like all of the sandwich options and we weren’t really offered the opportunity to say which ones we wanted. We tried to specify which ones we wanted to choose but the standard ones arrived anyway. We also asked if we could be moved to a bigger table but was told that wasn’t possible. It was a little tricky to eat on low down sofas. Despite this would definitely come again. Great views, lovely and attentive staff. Drinks were always topped up and were great.

We celebrated my grand daughter’s 16th birthday, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cloud23. The music and atmosphere was perfect. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. We will definitely visit again in the future and absolutely recommend Cloud23 for any occasion.

A very large bar on the 23rd floor of the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester. It has an extensive drinks list served by efficient and friendly staff who are lovely. The larger main area can get a little crowded and noisy, but for a quieter more chilled and relaxed vibe there is an area at the end with soft seating. Being on the 23rd floor, it provides superb views of the Manchester skyline including the sunsets. Pricing is not cheap but not into very expensive territory. Recommended.

Went with a party. Had to pre book drinks in advance. Was seated and told a waitress would be with us. They never came. Really hard to get anyone's attention. When we did they were not very friendly. Decor shabby.

I came to celebrate my book publishing. I could have stayed there for a while. Felt a bit moved on five minutes after ordering my first drink; Not sure why, perhaps they had a few reservations and needed me to move on to fill those. However there were customers there who had arrive before myself and were still there after I left. I stayed fifteen or so minutes, but good exsperience.

Had afternoon tea. For two people. Service staff very friendly. The tea included copious amounts of any choice of hot drink. Plus two cocktails of your choice. I found the food selection to be very basic in its choices. Though it's fair to say they tasted fresh and we're well presented. Had a very good views of the city from my vantage point. What I found to be extremely disappointing. Were the very high and ornate, floor to ceiling tiled mirrored paneling which was absolutely filthy, cracked and broken at the base. One would have thought as its such a striking feature within the dining area. Attention to such detail would have been just as important as the food and service. This does need to be addressed and kept clean.

The staff were all brilliant, as was the food, the cocktails and the views, will definitely be going again.

That didn't matter as the afternoon tea served brightened our day anyway! The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, plentiful to eat, prepared and arranged with care, and the unlimited hot drinks, selection of teas, coffee's & hot chocolate was simply wonderful. 100% recommend and was definitely value for money. We were served by the delightful Chandream who gave wonderful, attentive & professional service with a smile, taking time to let us know what each tier of the afternoon tea consisted of. Every member of staff was so friendly and gave great attention...nothing was too much trouble.........We will be back, thank you team Cloud 23!

Afternoon Tea was great. Really good service with good food and drinks. Beautiful decor and view as well.

Overpriced rooftop bar. Decent margaritas. Feels a bit tacky and outdated. The ceiling is covered in dark spots, and it generally a place to avoid.

Firstly, we had children running around the place during our entire stay but no-one seemed to intervene or challenge them despite them nearly bumping into staff that were trying to serve customers. Secondly, I was under the impression that Cloud 23 had a dress code? We have always made a special effort when dining there but I was very disappointed to see customers being admitted wearing jeans, short and trainers. Not really in keeping with such lovely surroundings. Finally, I was not impressed to find that a 10% "optional" service charge was added to my bill without any consultation. I have visited Cloud 23 many times but yesterday was a big let down I'm afraid.

food was delicious, service was very slow, we had to ask to have our order taken after 20 mins, had no sweetener in the building, asked for more sugar, didn't come... prompted them when they arrived with our tea stand, another coffee was ordered, mine came with 2 shots of unwanted vanilla syrup, I ordered tea for the next attempt, I had been there over an hour before I got a satisfactory drink, service charge was still slapped on the bill, when I asked for it to be removed the manager looked purse lipped.... obviously didn't have any idea that we had been waiting so long and that the service had been so bad. shame really...

Beautiful bar with stunning views at the top of the Hilton. Was recommended this place by someone living in Manchester and it didn’t disappoint. Worth booking in advance for a table around sunset to get the best views and guaranteed window seat. Paid about £25 each for that, but it included a cocktail that would have cost £15. We also got a little snack tray for £10 which seemed reasonable. Definitely worth doing if you’re in Manchester.
