Great food, quick service and very reasonably priced.

Nice fish and chips. Prices are fair.

We tried the Plaice, it was very tasty and original! The portion are very big so we shared a large fries (for 2) which was more than enough for us.

Lovely chips, missing them as the chip shop is closed until the end of August. Went elsewhere and very dissapointed so looking forward to you opening again

Best UK chippy we have been too! Chips were soft and fluffy and the Cod was excellent 👌 not soggy or over battered... just right 😊 have been to chip shops all over UK and this is our No 1! Excellent and quick service but also Fresh. We will be back if in the area again, and definitely would recommend! Thank you!

Great fish and chips freshly cooked fish so a small wait. Would return I'm not local but visit Clevedon from time to time. Had it been raining I may not have visited due to confusing sign typical council is it pedestrian or not make your minds up. I feel businesses on this road could be missing out on trade. Didn't want to risk a fine so walked.

Used to be really good. Inedible dry chips I literally spat the gravy out it was off! Disgusting! Dry fish cake stale roll. Fish was alright. Asked for lots of salt and vinegar. He barely showed it either! Waste of money.

Friday night fish n chips for 4, we had 3 fish and chip portions which was enough, freshly cooked, really good Chucky cod and not to much batter, chips were also really fresh, boxed in cardboard,

My friend was raving on about cheesy chips very disappointing plenty of cheese but chips were cold so did not melt

I thought I was going to have fish and chips. Instead I had overcooked fish in a mahogany batter which was quite hard and french fries, which I could have cooked better at home. NO I will not go there again unless they learn how to cook English fish and chips. I couldn't eat it, even the birds left it on the bird table. I rate this under a 1 star, but could not delete the 2 stars shown.

First time in Clevedon with our family of 8 and after unpacking we needed take away Fish & Chips. Clevedon Fish Bar proved to be an excellent choice. Speedy service, tasty fare and helpful staff all contributed to a 5* review. Would highly recommend.

Over the last month every Saturday lunchtime we have had food from here but the chips have not been the best & todays where very poor. So we have said that we will now go to Smart Fish & chip shop. The other issue is the main step to go into the shop is way to high so access is poor for elderly people & disabled. You used to be able to shout your order from the door but since the screens have gone up in the shop disabled people are not wanted so SMART FISH BAR have gained there customers.

Came to Clevedon from Bristol on a whim this evening to eat fish and chips by the sea. Found this place. Really quick, Covid-safe service, lovely fish, and great chips. One word of warning, the chip portion was huge! We had two portions between 3, and didn't finish them. Caveat emptor

It's cash only, why? I don't want or need to handle cash nowadays.

Our family used to frequently visit Clevedon Fish Bar when we lived here 25 years ago! Today I had the opportunity through work to experience it again! The fish bar seemed to be operating in a covid-safe manner with people waiting outside for orders. Service friendly. Food was great and I thought the portion sizes were quite generous! Hope to visit again sometime. One minor criticism is that they do not take card. First place I have used cash for months!

We enjoyed the fish and chips very much, and the outlet was clean, the staff efficient and pleasant. Our only quibble - they accept payment by cash only, no plastic. Time to move into the cashless 21st Century, methinks!

Always easy to phone order and the fish is excellent.

As far as I’m concerned this is the best chipper around. The chips are chunky perfectly cooked never under cooked. The fish is fresh a little under sized but the batter makes up for it, you can tell because it cooks the fish perfectly. But by far my favourite is the fried chicken. Way better than the KFC’s in London. KFC’s in the south west are grim and even worse is miss Millies. Anyway the chicken is to die for. You better get there quick as the chicken runs out quick.

I enjoyed a humble box of chips. Very well cooked. Very fresh. And a very big portion. Courteous, speedy and friendly service. I would have no hesitation in recommending. I salute you, Clevedon Fish Bar.

Well sadly now this is a shop i cant use now due to the very high step at the front door where before i used to be able to give them my order at the entrance but now the whole shop counter has been screened off due to Covid-19 no one is interested in serving a disabled customer or coming out to take your order. REAL SHAME A SHOP THATS GONE BACKWARDS FOR EQULITY.

I have used the Clevedon Fish Bar most weeks over the last few years and has always come up tops , fish and portion size good .

Didn't get our order right. And the pasties were like trying to eat cast iron. Threw my meal in the bin. Never again will I go there.

This chip shop. Does really the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. I always look forward to going back to this fish and chips. There that good. The staff are helpful and are all friendly the shop looks clean. And I think there wheel chair access. This chip shop is number 1 in my eyes I would give this shop 5stars every time.

Chips are always of a decent (chunky) size, well cooked and rarely over/under done. The curry sauce is reasonably good, though on the expensive size. Definitely one of the better options in Clevedon.

Good fish and chips with generous sized helpings. Amazed to find it open on a Sunday which was a godsend for us.

Great chips but I did find a hair in my food which I wasn't too pleased about at all.

I always go to Clevedon Fish Bar to go and get chips as I feel welcomed in there by all the staff but in particular Marcel and Moses. They always have a smile on their faces no matter what which is always good to see as it helps to cheer you up.

As nice as they are here, I'm convinced I've been overcharged twice. Kinda felt like a bit of a con tbh? Keep an eye on your change.

Good selection of food which tastes great, but quite often you have to queue for a while before being served.

Poor service by useless staff ordered four pieces chicken with chips got home to find only two but charged for four. Won’t come here again will tell anyone else to go else where.

Saturday evening visiting family decided on fish and chip supper , called in at Clevedon fish bar. Had trouble making ourselves understood when ordering ..3 fish 2 chips thats it .... then to paying and was charged for 3 fish and 3 chips had trouble in explaining that a mistake had been made in the end just gave up and waited for order. So order was served in cardboard boxes in carrier bag and 5 minutes later unwrapped at family home the chips were dry,warm and looked and tasted as if they had been cooked more than once , two of the fish were dry overcooked and really unpleasant , the skin of the fish was so bad as to be inedible over 50% of this order was binned .it is an insultThis shop is promoting its ability to serve a great British Classic but falls poorly short it is an insult to Fish and Chip shops and their customers throughout the Nation

Decent fish & chips but boxes it is put in don’t keep your food warm enough. Portions are large so we had 2 between 3 adults.

On a stop over in clevedon and after a lovely sunset walk we asked a local if she could recommend a good chip shop. She recommended this one. For £10.30 we got to beautiful pieces of fish, the batter was delicious, we only had one portion of chips but that was plenty. Really nice, only problem is parking to get it.

At 6pm it was queued out the door. The staff took orders quickly and my wait for food was short. The fish and chips were both delicious as well

We had a takeaway from Clevedon fish bar . The meal came in mini pizza boxes which was a bit strange but it meant they weren’t soggy. The chips were good and the curry sauce was tasty. My husband enjoyed the fish too. The cheesy chips must of had a block of cheese on . My son couldn’t finish them . It was nice to see that they do gluten free chips on a Tuesday too .

Sister moved here recently so thought we would check it out, good value for money and great fish and chips!
