Great drinks and even better food. We aren't ones for fish, but the lamb, beef and chicken were delicious. We really like the atmosphere as well. Nice enough for the fine meal you'll have, but lax enough to really enjoy without being stuffy.

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday here. The service was lovely, the food outstanding, flavoursome and beautifully presented.. Highly recommend Clayton's kitchen. Thank you for a fabulous night. 👌

Perhaps the best Sunday lunch service in Bath. Only negative, there is no draught beer.

Nice atmosphere and waiters. The food (duck and venison special) was ok, but unfortunately nothing special. The desserts were a let down with oats on everything for no reason leaving it very grainy. The mens toilet lock was also broken.

The food is good, but not worth the high price tag. The fillet of beef comes with 1 carrot, some puree and a few chips. It was okay. Not great. Okay. The atmosphere was pretty flat and the staff were okay, but missed our cues for more drinks etc.

This is my favourite restaurant in Bath - the crab is divine and service excellent. Large portions so you get a lot for your money. Love it !!!

We had an amazing celebratory lunch. The food was top notch, tasted amazing, beautiful presentation and the waitresses were very welcoming and provided excellent service.

Amazing food. Amazing staff. Amazing atmosphere. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. I had a goats cheese starter from the specials board and a lamb main also from the specials board. Superb quality and great tasting; the portions were ample too. The staff are super friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is cosy, yet modern.

Had a great experience at this fantastic restaurant. Service was spot on and the venison was the best I've ever had.

What a nice surprise in Bath! We walked into this restaurant without knowing anything about it and we loved it. The food and the service were amazing. We had pumpkin soup, mixed salad and roasted chicken with mushroom risotto. All of them were delicious and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended. Reasonable prices.

Fantastic lunch yesterday as always. Clayton’s always delivers. Consistently top drawer cooking. Fab flavours beautifully presented. We were in the quieter side of the restaurant because some customers wanted the door open on the other side (even though they sat in their coats!), it wasn’t warm enough outside to have the door open but we were able to go to the quieter room and stay cosy.

Booked Clayton’s for my wedding celebration dinner. The food for the whole party was absolutely delicious - I had some of the best chicken I have ever had. 5* - would definitely recommend.

Fantastic! Really impressed. The risotto was very classy and complimented the chicken. Lots of extra flavors added in the dish to make for a memorable meal. Service matched the food with attention to detail all the way.

30/8/23 Absolutely top quality food can not recommend enough. Scallops and lamb bon bons delicious. Beef fillet cooked to perfection, port reduction and all veg excellent. Chocolate mouse to die for. Only negative wine prices on the high side. Overall superb.

Highly recommend! we had the beef and the lamb dish both was amazing. Presentation was also great. The staff was also very helpful, polite and welcoming, great atmosphere. We really both enjoyed our visit and definitely will be back for more. Thank you for as in my husbands words "the best beef he has ever had."

Came here with family for lunch to celebrate 🎓 and it was a wonderful experience. Staff were uber friendly and welcoming from the outset, and the setting looking out onto George Street was lovely. The food was incredible - the best meal we've eaten in our six years of living in Bath. The lunch deal (two courses for £30, Mon-Fri) seemed reasonable too for the quality that was served.

Excellent and very good value for money. The food is prepared with care, is super well cooked and seasoned. Love the different takes on some classic dishes. The duck was exquisite, and the fish (& chips) delicious. Friendly and attentive service. A high recognition 👏 and recommendation, worthy of a Michelin 🍴. Book early as usually full.

Good food but very cramped and extremely noisy…poorly set out for our big party especially as there were two empty tables right behind us all evening…staff had great difficulty serving us and therefore the meal was not as enjoyable as it should have been…would advise more thought to go into set up .

We had a great meal here, we decided to sit inside despite the lovely weather and the decor was light making it feel really bright. Great interaction with the staff (adds so much to the experience). The food was fantastic! Amongst other things we had a crab starter which was velvety smooth surrounded by a deeply flavoured bisk, lovely. Between us we had fillet steak and lamb chops, both cooked to perfection, cooked only just enough to make both dishes beautifully soft, they nailed it. The accompiments worked so very well. Ot was quite expensive but worth every penny. If you get the chance, have dinner here!

The food is amazing. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. Quite pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

A cozy cafe in the historical center of the city of Bas. It has two halls inside, one right at the entrance, the other is separated by a separate entrance from the corridor. Pleasant colors of the cafe are blue and white, excellent service. There are tables outside, but under the sun. Those that are in the shade are on the passing part of the sidewalk. Fast service, pleasant staff. Prices are average, one might even say above average. We ordered onion soup, pork balls with beetroot and a glass of wine. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Although I salted the soup a little, because something is too sweet. But tasty. They paid 43 pounds for everything. There is a toilet inside. Clean and tidy.

Very nice food. My lunch (duck breast) was delicious and the dishes at neighboring tables looked just as good. Dog friendly both outside and inside.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Each dish was phenomenal and presented beautifully as well - we could tell that a lot of thought went into each dish! The sticky toffee pudding is probably one of the nicest desserts I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back next time we visit Bath!

2nd time I have visited and didn't disappoint.

Just lovely if I could give it 10 I would, food is always great and staff very friendly and attentive it was our wedding anniversary our waiter really looked after us and made it special. Will definitely be going back can't wait. Returned to what has become one of our favourite restaurants this time for my Husbands birthday so we took the family as well. Food and service still excellent even for a table of 9. Everyone enjoyed it and agreed food is really good. Can't wait to go back.

The Sunday roast was impeccable, both the duck breast and steak.

Outstanding…. Been here twice first for a wedding and had the salmon starter followed by the beef and retuned again for the rack of lamb which was fantastic as well. I tried the pork Bon Bons and I think it was lamb the first time round, Both were excellent. Very good panna cotta as well both times only sticking point was lamb was a little small but couldn’t fault the presentation, flavour or service hence why I would return. Price wise not cheap but you are getting very good quality food….

Super friendly service. The food was excellent. We had the 2 course meal each for both of us. The chicken breast pea risotto and the market grilled fish of the day tasted wonderful.

I came across this place as we were looking for a family lunch before leaving Bath after a great weekend. The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. The crab we ordered was delicious. I was also very happy to see that they had a kids menu for our daughter. However I was a bit surprised to see fish and chips kids portion at £20. Maybe that s a new norm to charge this for kids in but this is certainly highest I have came across worldwide incl top hotels and restaurants.

Cozy, warm and understated decor, dinner at Clayton's Kitchen was like having a meal in a large country farmhouse. We enjoyed the food especially the Roasted White Onion Soup with crunchy croutons and the Cotswold Chicken in a pea & mushroom risotto. Dessert was a delight-- Salted Caramel Chocolate Mousse with fresh orange segments. I highly recommend Clayton's Kitchen the next time you visit Bath.

My son and I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon dining at Claytons kitchen. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive, which gave such a calm and comfortable energy, despite the busy lunch period. We both had starters, mains and dessert which were ALL delicious. I can honestly say there is no room to improve because the service and food were perfection. The best meal I have EVER had. Thank you so much.

Our server was a bottle of sunshine. Her joy was contagious. We ordered the bread selection for starters and all the little sides that came with jt was so wonderful. For dinner per our server we had the duck and the special which was a venison dish. They were very similar in flavor profiles but they were both absolutely delicious. For dessert we did a passion fruit crème brûlée and a I think a sticky toffee like dessert. Both were incredible.

Food was excellent. Service by waiters Gaetano and Vincenzo was great too. Overall highly recommend.

We came to Clayton's Kitchen to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We enjoyed the food and drinks. Our servers were attentive and nice. Although we had good time here it is unlikely we will return as the food was tasty but overpriced.

Went there with my partner for a late lunch (3pm) which was the last lunch slot. We were running 5 mins late so gave the restaurant a courtesy call to let them know. The woman who answered was quite rude, telling my partner that the kitchen closed at 3pm...rather odd as our booking was for 3pm, and presumably they allow time to get a drink and read the menu etc?! When we arrived...at about 3.02, we again felt a little rushed being once again told that the kitchen was closing. Basically don't offer slots for 3pm if it's going to be a problem. On the whole, it made us feel a little unwelcome and rushed which is a shame as the food was actually really quite pleasant but let down by the front of house/whoever answered the phone. As another point....only one vegetarian option on the mains. Granted it was very nice but some choice would be a fine thing in 2022!

A fantastic restaurant with dishes of top international standard. An extremely tasty appetizer with crab you could kill for. Duck breast perfectly cooked. Great wines and attentive and friendly service. We sat in the basement and even though we had two large companies around us, the noise level was perfectly fine. I loved the place and if the white wine had been a couple of degrees warmer and the red wine a couple of degrees colder I would have kissed the waiter🤓

I've been to quite a few restaurants, not all reviewed, including the hand and flowers a 2* Michelin restaurant in the UK. This experience is very close to it. We had an incredible meal here recently, the service was on point, the food was phenomenally flavoursome. Steak with the Jus, and chicken risotto for main where absolutely delicious The starters of lamb bom boms, fried goats cheese both superb We didn't have space for dessert, unfortunately however this is highly recommended and ensure you book in advance, it's very popular and I can understand why. Will definitely be back.

Food was absolutely incredible! We pre booked to visit on 04/12/22 for lunch whilst visiting the christmas market, and brought our small dog too who received a water bowl once seated which he very much appreciated after walking around the stalls. Starters, mains and desserts were so delicious and beautifully presented. Decor inside was lovely too and excellent service from the staff who were very welcoming and friendly....... excellent service! So glad we booked to come here, would 100% return when we visit Bath again. Thanks for a lovely afternoon......Everything was amazing!

Our first but certainly not our last visit.from booking to our goodbyes we couldn't fault it.service very professional but low key,food was glorious not a huge menu which means quility.not cheap but certainly worth a visit if you enjoy good food.

19th November 2022. We paid Clayton's kitchen a second visit with friends. My first review still stands. Basically you pay for what you get and the pictures speak for themselves. The food was flavoursome and artistically presented on the plate with excellent service (again). Worthy of the 5 star review. 27th August 2022 Excellence on a plate. Beautiful flavours, presentation and service. We'll definitely return and recommend.

We went with a baby. They were super friendly, provided a high quality baby chair and had great service throughout. Slow cooked lamb bon bons starter was excellent. The main of roast meat was very nice but a bit more ordinary. Sides were provided with the roast and were excellent.

Pretty interiors but really awkward dining experience. The waiter (girl) that was taking care of us was talking very loud to everyone. There were few tables and everyone was looking at each other wondering what it was about. It was quite annoying. It was also very difficult to have her attention. I tried to order second bottle of water but no chance she was too busy to talk with the bartender.. At some point she put also her shoe on one of the empty chair in scratch better her leg. Wow ! quite different from the service I was expecting. Retraining is much needed here.
