Classic Persian Restaurant in Bradford

As we are still under covid restrictions we had a take away which was excellent quality. Food was perfectly seasoned -not too spicy hot. Dishes looked great even as a takeaway and were very colourful. The lamb was excellent- so tender. An authentic taste of the middle East in Bradford!

Me and my wife went for dinner tonight and I couldn’t fault the food and service, excellent from start to finish we both really enjoyed everything and will definitely be returning, well done guys and especially through this holy month of Ramadan.

Tried for the first time and blown away by the fabulous food. Been recommended a while back by several people and it didn’t disappoint. The meat of all the kebabs were flavoursome, tender and beautifully seasoned. The sauces and all accompanying sides were great too rice, seasoned fries and Naan and despite us having to have as a takeout it stayed lovely and warm and fresh. The classic special gives you a chance to try a range of food and a great way to test the water but all are fab. Give it a go you won’t just try the once I’m sure.

Visited classic Persian restaurant on fri 30th oct for an evening meal for 2.Parking is good with plenty of space but maybe full at times.Entering the restaurant we were taken straight upstairs to the second floor and shown our tables.Im afraid the decor was something else,in need of modernization.The service for me was lacking,with waiters disappearing for long periods of times or not attending to customers with there orders,this could have been speeded up.The menu is good with different cold and hot starters with the mains which are mostly chicken or lamb cooked on skewers,marinated or with chips Or rice... chicken was cooked beautiful but lacked a side sauce which would finish the dish off.. large amounts of boiled boring rice is not needed.id recommend a small portion of the rice with beautiful grill vegetables and not just a grilled tomato.over all I’d recommend this place for all to try at least once.service makes up everything which was lacking.waiter introduction is important and personal to your table and should be the basic of all waitressing.

We could not fault this restaurant, it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly, the food just delicious... the lamb so tender and Greek salad was divine, naan bread warm and delicate. The restaurant was very clean and COVID safety measures were great. Just perfect... we will be back! Thank you!

Love the food, the meat is cooked so tender. It’s all really fresh and good quality. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Only issue is it’s small so you feel like you are sitting on top of other dinners. They need to get a bigger venue it’s so popular.

Wow the food and service. The food is absolutely amazing, the only recommendation I would make is they should check all customers temperature to ensure the safety of other customers. Other than that service was bang on, and the food was mouth watering the Lamb pieces were so tasty.Defo be going again soon.

Decided to book a table at Classic Persian after reading the amazing reviews and wow what can I say!!! Food was just gorgeous. We had the mixed hot starter for 4 and a couple of extras. The haloumi was lovely as were the cheese and chicken rolls, and the dips and naan bread were to die for. We had two chicken kebabs and two lamb and chicken with rice and fries and salad and everyone was blown away. The service was good, despite all the Covid rules and we were thoroughly impressed. Would not hesitate to return or recommend. The bill for four came to £75 which was well worth it. Will be back

First visit with family previously been with friends. They all enjoyed their food...kids loved the lamb chops hubby enjoyed his mixed platter and my food was amazing as usual

The food is always amazing and consistently good. Big portions too, so great value for money. Good booking service especially during quarantine. They abide by social distancing a lot better than other restaurants eg. Plastic wrapped plates, paper menus, and antibacterial wipes given. Nicely spaced out tables for social distancing and one door for entry and another for exit. All waiters wearing PPE.

We often go to dine at the Classic Persian restaurant. Excellent food. Generous portions, We love the chicken kebabs.

Amazing food, really generous portions and great value as well! The lamb and chicken kebabs were delicious and loved being able to see the cooking station.Also felt very safe with all co-vid measures in place. All staff were wearing masks and plenty of space between tables and sanitiser easily available. Also separate entrance and exit to the restaurant. Overall a lovely meal and we’ll definitely be back, thank you.

Can always rely on Classic Persian for consistently amazing food. Both taste and service is brilliant and it’s also reasonably priced.

Some people might think its a petty issue here, but the chips let the meal down. They dry up in seconds making it hard to swallow them, it just puts the rest of the meal off! You expect better when prices go up.

Have visited a number of times now and the food is always amazing and is very decently priced. Would highly recommend the 'classic hot mixed platter' and the 'chello kebab momtaz'.

We had heard lots of positives about this restaurant so we thought it was worth a try. We were not let down!The food is very authentic. The prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We went with a friend who is a Lebanese doctor and she recommended some dishes which were beautiful. I would say the only thing which lets it down a little is that the restaurant is so popular that it is very busy and crowded.

This was a return visit to celebrate my wife's birthday. They've improved on what was a brilliant restaurant and gone to the next level. The food is superb, freshly prepared and served with real style by friendly , helpful staff. Great atmosphere and excellent value for money. The place is always buzzing and no surprises why - it's simply fantastic.Very highly recommended- a must visit. !

I had stopped eating out as the quality of food and disinterest in restaurants wasn't worth the feelings of disappointment BUT then I found Classic Persian Restaurant which was recommended very highly.I now eat out but only at Classic Persian - thank you for the effort you all made, your friendliness and the beautiful food.

You can feel the buzz in the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We planned to take a photo of our meal; however, the sight and smell of our food caught us off guard and we tucked in, so sorry only half a meal pictured. We were so glad we booked in advance as we watched other being turned away.

I have never given 5 oit of 5 before but this place deserves it. The meat was amazing, the service was fast, the atmosphere was calm, the staff were efficient and friendly and it was well priced. It is a little hidden gem. Its a small place but it doesn't feel crapmed.

Lately I've been getting bored with the usual curries and starters.SO I went on Facebook and asked friends to help me find something.Criteria: Halal Food, friendly atmosphere and staff and had to be Grill.Went without a booking, I didn't realise how busy it was on a Monday, the staff were awesome and seated us within minutes.We ordered 3 different things, kobideh, lamb chops and chicken.All with Rice and salad. Oh, and a nan bread, just because.The food was stunning. Don't expect Indian level spice, but let your tastebuds have some fun.My own personal taste would have liked more Ghee/Butter in the rice but it wasn't the star on the plate.Did I and my family enjoy it? Definitely Will I be going back?Most Definitely.Book a table and experience the Persian spices and flavours.

We booked a family table here for a friends birthday and what can i say we was all absolutely blown away with the warm welcome and awesome service and friendly staff and warm and vibrant setting felt at ease and not rushed at all WOW the food is amazing the soup of the day is awesome so is the aubergine paste never tried before but it was fantastic the prime beef cuts where so soft and juicy mixed with the safron rice amazing would defo recommend to try out with family and friends. You will not be disappointed. Keep the good work up guys.

Love this restaurant and food is really tasty & well prepared. As with most Persian restaurants, I always prefer starters to mains but there was nothing wrong with the Main Course they were tasty & well presented. Polite staff and efficient service. Will definitely return.

Great place and fantastic food and ambience. Love the charcoal grill especially the spicy joojeh kebab. Would prefer more chicken options as personally don't eat lamb. Also minimal main course options for vegetarians. Looking forward to another visit soon.

I have been here few times, so I recommended this to my friends and said baby lamb is the best here! So out of 4, 3 got baby lamb. THE BABY LAMB WAS HARD CHEWY!!! I told the waiter showed him I couldn’t cut the baby lamb and he said wait il call the manager! The manager/owner came and said thanks for letting me know and am the first one who complained!! That was it!! POOR SERVICE AND TERRIBLE FOOD NEVER WILL I VISIT AGAIN AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

One of my favourite places for persian food delicious food!! An excellent service!!! Nice friendly athmosphere and onsite parkig too. On the prices are perfect!! Not over priced at all!! Compared to the quality if food the price is i had the 4 hot starters!! And mains was a mixed kubadah and chicken skewer! Defo recommend

There's really not much to say about this place other than it's pure perfection! One of my favourite places to eat, which is consistently good and never fails to deliver exceptional quality at reasonable prices with friendly, professional staff!

We had an excellent meal here after Christmas. The restaurant was extremely busy but the service was quick, friendly and efficient. The food was very reasonably priced and portions very generous. If I had one niggle it would be that there was minimal choice for a vegetarian, but what I had was extremely tasty and filling. A great place to eat in Bradford.

Thankyou! We met up with a friend we have not seen for years, chatted for ages and felt totally comfortable, no one bothered us. Great to have somewhere nice to eat at lunchtime - wish you opened more lunchtimes. Food is exceptional, really like that you encourage to bring home what you cannot finish on the day - we have just enjoyed our leftovers so much. Staff are lovely, so welcoming, love the family run feel of the place. Also great that you can bring your own wine, just to enjoy a glass of wine without having to pay a fortune for it. We visited as a group of four the week before Christmas. It was our first time but not for our friends. The place was buzzing with a really nice atmosphere. We shared the mezze of dips served with fresh baked pide bread as a starter. It was all lovely. I ordered lamb cooked in a clay pot with limes for my mains and my partner had the lamb cooked with plums. Both were amazing. The lime was blackened from baking and when I burst it hot concentrated juice flooded my casserole lifting the whole flavour. The staff were lovely and we even got fancy glasses for the wine and beer we took along. Couldn’t fault anything. The fact that it is a BYO makes it even better value. If I lived closer I would be there every week!

Dined here many times with friends and family. We've never been disappointed and are always warmly welcomed. Food all freshly prepared and delicious. The owner and his team are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. You can take your own alcohol and they'll gladly provide glasses/ice. Plenty of soft drink options served here too. Advisable to book, no matter what time you are wanting to dine as it's always busy. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food was absolutely amazing. Service fantastic and price was very reasonable. I was so taken by the venue I forgot to take all photo which isn't like me! We have been on many occasions and have never been disappointed. We went with our friends to celebrate their anniversary we took our own alcohol as its not a problem. We had two starter dishes each as sharing plates, the chicken rolls and the cucumber salad dish. Two of us had the lamb chops (oh my goodness they were delicious) chips and salad, my husband got the lamb kebab and my friend the lamb in plum sauce with crushed walnuts. We were all to stuffed to order a pudding. You never feel rushed and ghd owner and his staff are lovely people. We will be back soon.

This was my second visit with family. Consistently good quality of food. Nice decor upstairs. It got a bit noisy with another family with young children celebrating birthday which settled when they left.

The grilled Kabobs are so succulent and cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend this place. The owner is also such a nice gentleman and very attentive and caring.

Absolutely class, first visit after hearing good reports, will certainly be back. Reasonably priced for the size of dishes, and the taste and freshness of it all is fantastic. This is our favourite place to eat when visiting our daughter at University in Bradford. The BBQ kebabs are very tasty, light and portions. The starters are good too. We are going again soon. Well worth a visit.

We have tried many times to get a table here but they are always fully booked. We tried our luck on a Monday - early evening and were able to get a table. The staff were brilliant. The service was fast. The food was fresh and delicious. The phone was ringing off the hook - with people making reservations and ordering takeaways. It’s a place you must visit if you are ever in Yorkshire.

Something different but tastes absolutely amazing. Place is quite small and busy so ensure you have booked a table before visiting. Been here couple of times and have loved the food every time i have been.

I was more impressed with the starters than the main courses, having ordered a platter for four that included the sausage, aubergines and meatballs, all f which were very good. The grilled meats are good, but thy are what they are and not overly special. Still worth the visit!

Absolutely love the food at this place. Only draw back for me is the accoustics of the dining room, but we order a takeaway at least once a month. Well worth a try.

This is mine and my better half's favourite. This place continues to be consistently excellent every time we eat here. Freshly prepared to order, succulent meats, soft fluffy rice and impeccable friendly service. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Bradford, if not of all time! Lamb chop heaven!

I love this place. Food is delicious, staff are friendly. This was my fourth trip and every time has been great. I had the mixed sharing hot starter and the lamb shank, utterly delicious. It's a gem of a place, from the outside it is very underwhelming. Thanks to all staff.

We often come here as a group as it is some of the best food you can find in Bradford, fresh and delicious, the food is always well cooked with good flavours, we always have a good mix of dishes and share as it is hard to choose from the great array of dishes.Top quality restaurant.

So glad I booked as it was very busy. We both opted for a nain course only. My companion had the lamb shank and I had one of the lamb stews which had apricots, plums and other fruits as well as gentle spices. Both came with saffron rice and the meat in both dishes just melted. I also tried the Persian desert of filo pastry filled with pistachios and cream. The food was totally delicious and reasonably priced, service was attentive and the owner, identified us as new customers and came over twice to chat with us. Definitely going back!

Heard nothing but good things about this place and was very much looking forward to going for a family meal. I'm vegan so there wasn't huge choice for me but wasn't expecting alot anyway so that's not an issue. Had hummus, olives and vine leaves for a starter and all were lovely but got a vegetable stew as my main, it looked lovely but just had no flavour whatsoever and I was left very disappointed. My family who ate various chicken & lamb dishes also commented that their meals lacked flavour. We also had two birthday parties either side of where we were sat and the birthday song of choice was played far too loud for too long. Sad that it wasn't as I had heard and won't be going back any time soon.

I made a return visit on Friday night. We had booked a table advance and it was a good job that we had because by the time we left people were queuing out of the door.

You just cant beat this place for great food. Our take out for a meal for 6 was excellent, so fresh, so well cooked, the salad so crisp, the rice so fluffy, (how do they do that ? ) the taste so good, the lamb and chicken so tender and spiced just right. I'm saying no more, just in case i can't get in next time top notch!!

visited lots of Persian Restaurant around UK by far this is the best I have been too. From starters to main just wow full of flavour and the chicken just has the best smoked and chargrilled coming through the it, it taste just amazing. It’s a family business and staff are great ready to look after you from the moment you walk in. I would recommend this restaurant highly for great Persian Food. Will differently go back when I come back to Bradford.

Been there now 5 times fantastic food, great atmosphere, service, price car park, terrific staff 5 star plus it’s the place to be 614\615 bus from town 10 minutes get off at St Luke’s Hospital and your there with a very warm welcome bring you own alcohol though glasses are supplied

Lovely warm and inviting, wonderful staff and great food at very good prices. No alcohol licence but you can take your own and no corkage charge. Small restaurant with a very big heart. Highly recommended.

Tried to eat at this restaurant once before but they were fully booked. Tried today on the off chance that I could get a table and was lucky enough to get in. Parking was plentiful with massive bays.

I was recommended by family and wasn’t let down! The food was lovely, the service was great and the lovely man who owns it was very hospitable! Tasty and enjoyable. Would return!

We came here with friends who’d recommended it and we weren’t disappointed. It is so popular we had to book weeks in advance. The place was buzzing when we arrived but the staff were very efficient and we didn’t have to wait long. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We will definitely return but must remember to book in good time as this restaurant is so popular.

This restaurant never fails. Always a gorgeous meal. The starters are brilliant. Would recommend meatballs, halloumi, the sausage and the vine leaves. The lamb is always cooked to perfection and the salmon is such a great portion size! Hope this place continues to do well. Spent many a birthday here and will continue to come back for the value for money and the atmosphere. Helps that the food is amazing too!

Been here once in 2017 and went again in August 2019. The service and quality is outstanding as it was in 2017. There is a very homely feel to the food and you are made to feel very welcome by the owner of the business. He is a delight and has a great sense of humour.

Our second visit to this terrific restaurant. The food is delicious, the service good. Between us we had one lamb and plum stew, one chicken and lamb kebabs and two lamb kebabs. Lovely flavours, spicey but not too hot. They don't serve alcohol, so bring your own.

I only heard about this restaurant when I was in the hairdresser and overheard people talking about how amazing it was so was determined to try it. They were absolutely right - this place is the real deal - absolutely stunning food, at reasonable prices with professional, friendly service. It's just so yummy, it's almost impossible to know what to pick but I had lamb marinaded in pomegranate and it was to die for.

Managed to get a table here last minute and what a great place. Had a great mix of diners from me and my wife to big Asian families and small groups of 20 somethings.

Checked all restaurants for star ratongs zaffran has 1 star classic 2 stars but the new vallie restaurant has 4 stars I know where I will be getting my meal from

Set in one of the not very nice parts of Bradford didnt really have high Hope's for this place.....but blimey were we wrong. The internal decor is beautiful and instantly gives u a nice warm buzzing feel inside preparing you for what's about to come. We ordered the platter which was more than enough for the both of us. We loved it. The meat was just right and taste was just something different. Husband straight away said " when are we back" next visit planned in August for his birthday.
