CJ's Restaurant & Bar in Nuneaton and Bedworth

Family took me here for Mother’s Day & what an absolute disaster, arrived at 2pm & 2 hours later at 4 pm food started to arrive at table, 2 meals sent back cause badly burnt & 4 times I was bought the wrong meal with me eventually having No meal at all (having to go home & eat) and the chef coming to our table & blaming her staff when clearly it was her fault, also they’re attitude was disgusting, Stay clear of this place & drive past!!!

Went here for night out with wife food excellence both had fish chips and onion rings

Arrived with a big party for a birthday meal. My sons burger arrived cremated had to send it back. My Lasagne came and it smelt awful I had two mouthfuls and my gut told me not to even attempt anymore, chips full of oil that tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed in months. Many people from our table sent their meals back for the same reason. Food isn’t nice at all, rude staff with an attitude manger even worse! Smashed mirrors decor needs upgrading really bad and the banisters up to the restaurant needs a good clean sticky and filthy (don’t touch them) below the restaurant is a bar music that loud the floor was shaking! Rude regulars too asking my name and where I lived when answered laughed at me! Avoid at all cost would not go back even if was free!! the table next to us also complained about their food too!

Awful food restaurant old and dirty, management not aware of poorly cooked food. Car park too small DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE

The food was terrible.Not very clean and terrible attitude from the manageress.Would not recommend going there at all.

Ordered take out my order was completely wrong- called but then lady said we ordered it wrong and she didn’t care - we won’t go back.

I wouldn't bother going here the food not great and definitely not worth the money and when it's wrong they aren't even bothered or want to do anything about it really disappointing and feel like I've been ripped off

The last time we went, the food was amazing. This time, it was very poor, very disappointed

We went for a family meal all booked in advance but asked for drinks told to wait after half an hour we asked again and some one came to our table to get orders waited over 2 hours for our food including kids meals when the kids meals dis come out they ate it and cleared up done some drawing and got really bored waiting for adult meals to come out still not arrived after kids had finished no explanation no offer of a discount or refund meals were dry over done in the microwave and no one seemed to care in fact other people came in and ordered and got food and had left before our meals came

Shocking service NEVER again do not use this place

I honestly could not rate this place higher, the beer was spot on and priced fairly, the staff friendly and polite and the FOOD was awesome priced well cooked perfectly fresh salad home made onion rings and the burger was so so so tasty. What a hidden gem if ur local and haven't tried it ur missing out one of the best places in nuneaton to eat out !! Thanks again keep up the great work

2022: Superb food. Don't get put off by the pub down stairs. 2023: Went for Sunday dinner 10/9/22, gargantuan proportions, 10.95 for full size, 6.95 for small ; they call it a child's but let adults order it, judge for yourself!

Fantastic food and great value for money with a great atmosphere. When you sit in the garden you could be anywhere with palm trees, outdoor cocktail Bar and outdoor TVs. The staff are also excellent and very helpful.

Sunday roast is to die for, great value and excellent quality

First time we have ordered for home delivery and we weren't disappointed. Easy ordering through the Just Eat App, food arrived quickly, delivery driver extremely friendly, food was piping hot and so yummy. Brilliant experience, quality ingredients and a chef who obviously knows he's food and how to cook. Will definitely be ordering from again. Thank you xx

Brilliant and well filling Sunday roast today. Delivery time was spot on and that lemon roulade was very tasty. Definitely eat from you again.

Friendly and lively bar, newly renovated. Awesome football memorabilia framed on the walls.

Food was good was too much to eat price was fair

Food was lovely and the meat was generous...but for £28 I think I should of got more than 1 roast potatoe...on the 2nd dinner for my son there was 2....also no parsnips....for the price I won't be ordering again.

Had dinner here tonight as a new years eve celebration. Was absolutely lovely, food was hot, fresh and tasty and the service was brilliant. Cocktails were also amazing

I want to say a massive thank you to CJ’s bar and restaurant, Nicole Shaw and Georgia for what you done yesterday, as most of you know I live in Crewe, my brother is not at his best atm, and lives in Nuneaton, so I rang them for a home delivery and they did just that, but going that extra mile Georgia taking his food upstairs to him, and popping the shop you went that extra mile, your amazing. It’s lovely to know that there are still good ppl out there 👏👏👏👏 I applaud you all ♥️♥️ thank you sooooo much xx

We came late on a Saturday night around 8, didn’t book. Food and service was absolutely fantastic couldn’t fault a thing, the pork belly was incredible. The lady serving us was also really down to earth an lovely. Portions are more then enough so they let you take the rest to go, which I polished off this morning.

CJ’S.. came highly recommended to us from a friend so We took some Clients for a business meeting meal on “steak night” which I believe is every Wednesday! I’ve gotta say everyones steak was perfectly cooked and tasted superb… 10/10 we all will be returning soon

Cracking food and great service, never a disappointment

Valentine's deal normally these are ok but not brilliant but @ @CJ the food was delicious all courses & the young man serving us was brilliant & professional making sure we didn't want for anything

Food was delivered and when it was put onto plates it looked very unappetising. It tasted very bland. One meal was ordered without any salad but arrived with salad. VERY overpriced charging restaurant prices for what was really bad pub grub. Will definitely never order from here again.

Disgusting! Took far to long to come and it was cold and inedible! Don’t bother! Garlic bread missing terrible!!!

just wanted to say i went to cjs with work friends and had a great time the atmosphere was great staff were great friendly service,food was good value for money,and the lady Nicole that was serving us and checking all was ok was was really nice and good at her job very cheerful and made the night more enjoyable

Great staff, food and atmosphere

First and last visit. We went for Sunday lunch 28/11/21, but arrived unfortunately arrived late due to having things to do, found the restaurant upstairs and was guided to the table the waiter commentated how busy they had been. We ordered drinks and my wife's drink arrived he apologised and said the has to change the barrel for my beer. He arrived some some later but the beer was a flat as a pancake, I thought ow well and ordered a lemonade to put some life into it. The meal then arrived followed by my lemonade but that was flat to. The meal itself was well presented with large portions but as i ate it the quality seem to vary through the plate seems some of it had been standing for sometime, i ploughed my way through but found far to much food. As my wife is a pudding fan we to one home as a takeaway. When we got home I had to run for the loo..........ow not pleasant, we definitely will not return.

Had my partners 50th there last night . I can honestly say you could not fault a thing , The service and food was outstanding. Big thanks to Nicole , Karen and the team you alway go above and beyond.

Ordered a delivery through a third party service. The restaurant deliver it themselves. Food delivered an hour and 10 minutes late, stone cold and had to be microwaved. Did not receive any communication from the restaurant that the order would be delayed. When I rang them they expressed surprise that it hadn't been delivered because it had left some time ago. I was told they would phone the delivery driver and call me back. No one called back. When the driver arrived, she was polite, but added it wasn't her fault because she had been sent delivering "all over the place". A fact the restaurant would have known when I rang them because she was their only delivery driver tonight. Good food, spoilt by having to microwave it and not an apology from anyone. Won't be ordering again.

Cold soggy chips cold chicken ment to be cajun more like plain grilled. Lumpy mash Garlic bread cold. Dry filling in the pie Even the children's food was cold and dry. Will not be ordering again

Had 4 fantastic meals at CJs, took our parents there as they have recently moved to the area and after tonight's experience, mum and dad will be regulars. Lucy our waitress was very attentive and clearly loves her job. She was welcoming, vibrant and an advocate for CJs. Finally check-out the garden not what we Expected!

I ordered the roast dinners today for delivery, had specific requirements which were well received by the restaurant. I've always been cautious ordering a roast meal for delivery, but this was superb, will definitely be ordering again

Only stayed for a pint as they do the main food at 5 they do light snacks on the menu before 5 but nothing took my fancy at all

Not happy at all cold food missing items and all very bland roast potatoes disgusting and garlic mushroom starter shocking seriously not worth 30 pounds won't be ordering again as this is the second time this has happened now

Went here for lunch I had the bacon steak special amazing the person I was with had the chicken blt both were great . Decore in the restaurant was very nice the young lady severing was very pleasant think her name was Nicole .

Been to CJ's tonight for a meet up with family and freinds atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant from the minute we got there. The outdoor areas are lovely and comfortable. The restaurant was chilled with a nice vibe. Food was absolutely fantastic and the service was top notch. Had a great night at a great venue...would highly recommend...thanks guys we had the best time xxx

Ordered a large carvery, portion was adequate definitely not large, lamb was OK, chicken dryer than a camels flip flop, went straight in the dog's bowl. Yorkshire pudding cremated. Anaemic veg, splodge of stuffing offered the only morsel of taste, safe to say won't be ordering again.

Had my father's day meal at CJ's and myself & the family realy enjoyed ilove how they have designed the restaurant & the food was delicious. The staff were amazing looked after our every need & very polite we will be definitely be returning again soon. Thanks again CJ's & all of your staff keep up the good work

Don’t order for takeaway, mixed grill was 1 sausage 1 burger 1 chicken breast 1 small piece of steak and 1 piece of gammon, in the same tray as all my soggy chips and my soggy salad covered in all the juice and oil from the meat, certain things were undercooked no option to how steak should be done, the extra tray of chips which were ordered were nice, as for the jacket potato and lasagne one mouthful was taken then thrown in the bin, as someone else said I don’t know how there is good reviews, the quality, presentation and taste was a zero, I was a reluctant to make a review as I’m forced to give one star which is also undeserving, on a plus it was delivered 25mins early maybe that’s why it lacked everything else never ever will I order from there again

Ordered through Uber Eats as we didn’t want to cook, plus we had a discount code. Unfortunately the code can only be used with certain “restaurants” so there was only 6 to choose from including a service station 😒. Anyways we thought we would give this a go not having high hopes. If it’s bad then we just won’t go back. Simple. It was good that they used their own delivery staff rather than Uber eat drivers! Because of trust issues. Ordered 2 roast chicken dinners, including delivery. So half price was pretty good. It arrived on exactly 40 minutes. We had 2 large tubs of gravy (size of a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream tub almost), 2 styrofoam boxes consisting of 2 large slices of “chicken” but we suspect it’s actually turkey because of the taste? Which is not a problem. Some green beans, carrots, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, Ross potato, mash, stuffing and a large Yorkshire pudding. It was surprisingly good. Temperature was hot enough and it was presented beautifully as in not just haphazardly doloped on. I have concluded that this was a good decent meal and I would happily re-order again with or without a discount code. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Sunday Roast Lunch delivered to my parents home. Arrived spot on time, still hot, and ready to eat. Plenty of vegetables and gravy. Highly recommended

Very over priced, dry chicken like chewing on cardboard, ready made lasagne. £30 down the pan. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. We rang up and got told that’s what you get. We were well looking forward to this very disappointed. Wish I could post pics of the food. Wouldn’t get a takeaway from here again.

Lovely food! Pork belly and pate for starters and Ribeye mains all really nice quality food, good service and well organised for social distancing....not to mention the nice fresh paint work done during the lockdown period!! All in all fab meal out and cant wait to return, two very happy customers

Me and my family ordered chicken roast dinners, when they arrived they came heaped to the top and came with heaps of gravy. The gravy is the best ive ever had, so meaty and delicious! The chicken was amazing and so was the rest of the roast, the carrots were sweet and the potatoes were crispy and soft.

Excellent food and service, will definitely use again, highly recommended.

Ordered a 3 course Sunday lunch for me and the partner from here earlier on today and I can honestly say the food is absolutely spot on. Not one to leave reviews but definitely worth leaving one! Worth every penny, massive portions, gorgeous food and quick service. Will definitely be ordering again!

Ordered two of there mixed grills. They were fantastic, the best we have had in a long time. Well worth the money.
