A great choice of food. Nicely presented and helpful attentive staff. I've been waiting to go for a while and we all enjoyed ourselves.

A typical side-of-the-road restaurant - lacking in charm but made up for it with yummy dishes. Service was good, prices were reasonable, would return.

Been here a few times both for eat in and takeaway, if you book takeaway online there is a 20% discount. Sunday buffet is good value and a wide choice.

Was looking forward to my order tonight. King prawn korma, keema naan, pilau rice, and chips. What huge disappointment it was. Don't get me wrong, I like a big prawn, but these were huge and only 5 in the whole curry. They were overcooked and had the texture of rubber. The naan was cold and chewy. The rice was the only thing that I ate. From the reviews, this might have been a one-off but won't be ordering from here again just in case.

Went last Friday evening with family haven't been for awhile but the food was just as good as before choice of buffet or alacart we choose the alacart which was delicious but did look at buffet which looked really good will definitely be going back and will try buffet can't say anything but 5 star for food and service really friendly and helpful .

Absolutely dreadful service. We were not allowed to order our meal at the same time as our drinks. We were given our poppadoms before ordering, we waited for a long time to order, the restaurant was not busy. The waitress was chewing gum when she finally came to take our order. We then waited ages for our dinner and when it arrived the Chicken Pasanda was Lamb. We called the waitress over to say we had the wrong food, she then asked, did we not like lamb. I said not really and we ordered the Chicken. She came back with what was slices of Tandoori Chicken in what I can only describe as soup. It was definitely not Pasanda sauce, it had a runny consistency as well as being a completely different colour to the original sauce. Bitterly disappointed after reading the reviews. I would recommend not eating here and personally I will never return. We are now having issues with the manager.

Waited nearly 2 hours for food to arrive just for it to be undercooked , most food wasn’t very nice and the service was ok but nothing special , quite expensive to for what you get £15 for a small bowl of curry with about 5 pieces of chicken in

First time visiting and went for the buffet. Great value for money and the food was delicious. Will definitely try the takeaway menu soon.

We went on a Sunday evening and had the buffet which was very good 👍

Came in with £21 for an adult buffet and left stuffed and satisfied. I enjoyed every selection of dishes along with fresh chewy naan and deliciously crispy sides. Table service was excellent and the staff are polite and swift to work, made the experience so much better. I would recommend the chickpea curry, it's mildly spicy with perfectly cooked chickpeas that melt in your mouth. If you're getting dessert, you should order the mango brulee- fresh and creamy mango ice cream topped with a layer of crispy caramilised sugar. Definitely worth the price in my opinion. Bring some friends and family to share the joy 😊.

First time visiting, great buffet option - plenty of choice including starters and breads. Really was delicious food and fantastic service, all the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Slightly cold in there, folks were wearing coats but the restaurant, the food and the staff was top notch and would return.

This used to be our favourite restaurant. We were well known to the previous management and my students often served us. Now the servers barely if at all crack a smile and the manageress barks at us about buying drinks. We had no plates for the appetiser, which was an oversight that no-one serving wanted to address. On top of all that, it was twice as expensive as a takeaway at another local without the food being any better.

Very poor booked for a birthday celebration, 5 of us vegetarian, was told when ordering there was no vegetables so ordered curries with just potatoes, food took 70 minutes to arrive and was cold , reason for food being cold was naan bread took so long to cook ? Servers quite ignorant ended up paying for drinks and going to nandos , very poor wouldn't recommend

Absolutely disgraceful I travelled an hour for a reservation I had I got to the restaurant 10 minutes early I was on completely on time and the restaurant was closed not a light on or a person there didn’t even think to contact us about the booking absolutely awful do not reccomend no communication at all

It was OK but forty pounds 2 buffets n 2 cokes for the choice was over priced.

Food was fine , but service abysmal- 45 mins before they reluctantly took our order / table next to us took 90 mins for food to arrive. It’s a shame this place was once great now average at best

Last take away here was dreadful and they got the order wrong. Such a shame as this used to be a first class restaraunt we'd been to many times. Not any more.

Fantastic food and the staff are very friendly

Had a meal for 6 people booked for 7pm on a tues evening. Waited nearly 45 mins for 6 meals to arrive. No starters. Restaurant was almost empty les than 8 others dining. Young waitress was lovely, older waitress quite abrupt and not friendly. Plain naans were pale and greasy. Not nice at all. King prawns shasleick wasn't nice pretty burnt and more shell than prawn. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning. It was lovely years ago. One positive, parking wasn't a problem.

Ordered a chicken korma to be delivered. Had a previous delivery a few weeks ago which was lovely, however, tonight’s meal was absolutely disgusting the sauce was like water and tasteless, the chicken was tough and the onion Bhagees were tasteless. Spoke to the restaurant would only refund me for the chicken korma (half the meal but not for the full meal even though we were not able to eat the chips and rice on its own. Very poor customer service. Will not be ordering again.

We've been to The Cinnamon Tree a couple of times now, and although the food is good it's unlikely we'll be returning. Unfortunately it is very expensive for the portion size, and combined with the slow service we left feeling a little underwhelmed. We waited for a while for our order to be taken with staff walking past us multiple times, and when we caught the waitress's attention and asked if we could order we were told to wait as someone who arrived before us should order first. We had one of the mixed starters and for £13 we only received 8 pieces, with each piece being very small. My curry was flavourful, but only had small pieces of low quality chicken. It was served in a plain bowl with no extra garnish and looked distinctly disappointing for the £13.95 price, especially when compared to the other curry which came in a nice copper bowl with a lot more chicken. The size of the sides were also very small, and we would have expected more rice for the £4.25 pricetag. We were also charged £3.50 for a pint of orange squash. Our naan bread was also forgotten to begin with and we were assured it was coming but after 10 minutes we had to chase it up. It was very good when we received it, but by that time we had eaten most of the curries, even when pausing to wait for 5 minutes. Overall the service was very slow and although the food was tasty the presentation and portion size did not make it worth price which was just shy of £60. Overall you can get better food and more attentive dining experience elsewhere.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday the service we received was second to none. The staff were polite and attentive throughout our visit and nothing was too much trouble when we asked questions. We had an array of food during our visit all of which was flavoursome and beautifully presented. The buffet was also on during our visit but we chose to order from the main menu, there wasn't a wait of any sort when ordering and the timing between the starters and mains arriving was perfect. In fact we were asked if we were ready for our mains which was a nice touch. Overall it was one of the best meals we have had in a while, it's a lovely family run restaurant with food that packs a punch. If you like spice and good food then you won't be disappointed, I cannot wait until our next visit.

Rang up and ordered a takeaway it was ready exactly the time they said and more importantly all the food was really tasty and very high quality

My family and I visited The Cinnamon Tree for a late Sunday lunch, as it was the only Indian buffet open in the area at the time (Our usual was closed that day). We were not disappointed: service staff were very friendly and amenable, and the food was very good quality- my personal favourite is the Chicken Tikka Masala, which, alongside everything else available, was delicious. We plan on going again very soon for another Sunday all-you-can-eat, once we stop feeling full from our last visit!

Wonderful service, atmosphere and food. And well priced. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Spent over £25 on 2 sides and 1 main (very expensive for what I ordered but happy to pay a higher price to get good quality food) the experience was terrible I do NOT recommend it at all. The food was over 1hr late Contacted them after 30 minutes and was told it will be 5 mins - called them multiple times and eventually arrived over 1hr later. The food was lukewarm and completely tasteless How on earth this place charges a higher premium on food which is below standard, at best very average is beyond me - I used to visit the restaurant 3 times a month but it has lost it appeal and standards have dropped - not much competition in ponty which is why they're probably still in business but they won't last long at this rate. To sum up, poor service, expensive and rubbish food 😑

Delicious! Chicken Tikka Biriany for me and Goan Chicken curry for my wife. Cinnamon Tree has had some ups and downs in recent years but on tonight's evidence they are back to their best.

Food was good. The issue was the length of time it took to get to us. It was clearly a very busy night, but it took an age for our drinks orders to be taken and made (20 plus minutes), we had to ask to order food as staff were then waiting on other tables and I think had assumed someone else had taken our order. After our starters arrived it took another hour and half for our mains. This did take a shine from our visit unfortunately. You can't take away from the quality of the food and it was really tasty but it took 2 hours and 20 minutes to have a starter, main and two drinks.

Very poor service food was only thing that redeemed a very poor dis-jointed service have not been in a while and will not return if honest with a bill like we got presented with & no apology was issued for the bad service and they were fully aware.

Great value Sunday buffet - nice change from a roast x

First up the food from here is fantastic. Best tasting curry in the area without a doubt. However the last couple of visits I’ve been waiting in excess of 30-45 mins at the drive through. This is after turning up at stated time. Not sure why this is suddenly an issue but it feels like they’ve simply forgotten to cook the food till I arrive. If they can get back to their usual efficiency it would be a 5 star review.

Always a warm welcome, friendly staff and lots of good food to choose from. Have visited several times over the years and intend carrying on visiting.

We had a really nice welcome and meal here. The food was really tasty and some good tasting special dishes on offer. The only negative point was a couple of naan breads had been missed off the order and were waiting to eat our mains. The staff were on it though and very apologetic. I would definitely dine here again due to the quality of food.

Food was good... but no set meal everything you had to buy seperate which the cost then goes up.. had to pay to park at restaurant grounds. Waiter was cocky wouldn't separate bills, added drinks and rice onto bills which we didn't order. So all in all the food was tasty

Been for a sit down meal numerous times now and enjoyed every time. Would say this is one of our favourite Indians to dine at. Service is generally very attentive, just one occasion we found it was slower than previous visits. Food is outstanding, cannot fault. Saturday I tried a beef dish for a change, it was the most tender beef I'd ever had. Generous portions too. Well worth a visit.

Everything about tonight’s service was perfect, the staff are very friendly and extremely polite, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was very comforting, will be going again.

Another fabulous meal at the Cinnamon Tree Treforest. Excellent food. Excellent service. Staff are really friendly and helpful. A warm welcome and not limited to time as is happening in some eateries. No matter how busy the restaurant is nothing is too much trouble.

Had a takeaway. Staff lovely and friendly. Place spotlessly clean following COVID regs. Unfortunately the chicken bhuna was just pure salt, my husband and I couldn't eat it. We have had very nice food in the past so could be a one off but we are put off trying again.
