Cinnamon Lounge, Princes Risborough in Wycombe

Gave my partner agonisingly intense food poisoning, and one of the staff members later harassed me and my manager at my job for a technical issue that was out of our control. Avoid like the plague.

Got a takeaway from here last night will never be eating here again. Do not recommend give me on my whole family diarrhoea all feel very ill. The next day do not eat her.

After ordering a delivery we only received half of the order!!!!

Having placed the order at 18:15 and told it would be delivered in an hour we thought that was fine. When it got to an hour and a half later we called them. He called the driver on another line, we were the told the driver had said he had delivered it. We explained how this was not the case and we hadn't received a takeaway and then managed to immediately forget about it. We were then asked if we could collect a fresh order they would make for us. After agreeing to a partial refund, this is what we did. When we arrived outside (2 and a half hours after the original phone call) the delivery driver happened to pull up outside at the same time. He took a bag full of food round the back and I entered the front. I explained who I was and then my order appeared at the front. Carried by the delivery driver and if it was the exact bag I saw him carry in from the car, I'll do free deliveries for them for a year. The man then started to process my partial refund and explained how they had just cooked it fresh for me. I then pointed out that I saw that delivery driver carry to the bag from his car but this seemed to fall on deaf ears. Having finally gotten the food on to our dinner table to find it was cold, I think it was fair to say there were more than just a few lies being told to us. If you decide to buy food from this restaurant, you're braver than me. As I will never be buying anything from this place again.

We went for the so called all you can eat Sunday buffet, which turns out is neither all you can eat or a buffet. It is a selection of basic dishes to pick and order. It should be called a set menu. The food is mostly good. Onion bhajis in particular were good, the samosas not so much and the curries and dahl standard/good. However the service, of one particular waiter, was awful. Made to feel like we were doing a favour eating there, didn't appreciate if we asked for something extra but isn't that the point of all you can eat? We went there on that particular day because we assumed it would be quick. Starters were fine but mains took so long to come out and we had two young kids that were bored and hungry. I asked where the food was after 20 minutes and was met with complete disregard, no apology and told it would probably be another 15 minutes and that he would check but he then never did. Surely, advertising a service like this it should be quick and ready (we were the first and only table for a while) but it seemed takeaway took priority. Finally our food came and it was fine but we won't return due to the service and complete false advertising. Also, when clearing our plates, our kids were still enjoying the lemon and the squeezing gadgets and he forced them to give them back which was unnecessary and rude. Go to one of the other Indians, they are better, better value for money and by far friendlier. Not really worth the money when it's not an all you can eat buffet!

Had the Sunday buffet which is more like a reduced menu (ie different menu to the full one but still freshly cooked to order). Absolutely first class. The food was delicious and really fresh with excellent flavours and lots of fresh vegetables in each dish. Couldn't fault and would thoroughly recommend.

Hour and half late, missing order. Had the cheek to ask us to come to the restaurant to pick up despite the fact we paid for delivery service! No sorry! Avoid at all costs please

Appalling!! The worst Indian in the town by far! food stone cold. Only half the order arrived. When I called to query they hung up on me half way through my explaining. Naan was like a soiled nappy. Curries like water with nothing in except the meat, not even a garnish and flavourless. Chips dry. Poppadums stale. Don’t bother!!!! You will be devastated. We used them 2 years ago and had an awful experience but thought we would try once again and that has now clarified that it is just far easier to use one of the other 3 we have in the town. Take away is supposed to be easier not stressful

Managed to get a booking here for a family Sunday lunch. Great service, good food, and very reasonable prices. This was my first visit, but I hope it won't be my last. We all said we'd come back.

Highly recommended restaurant. Absolutely beautiful flavours. I do not eat meat so it's hard to find a good restaurant that give full flavours in dishes without meat. Everything tasted fresh and nothing qas oily or greasy like some takeaways do. The best Indian takeaway I've had in a long time

Absolutely appalling food, workers were talking with an attitude at all times, couldn’t walk outside for fresh air because they thought I was going to run away, Radhuni or coco tamarind down the road are much better restaurants.

I will never step foot inside there again all I eat was this food yesterday and have been in bed all day with food poison stay away people plz hygiene is very poor but I thought give them the benefit of the don't and look this has happend stay away

Absolutely appalling... order was confirmed with a 45 min wait...waited 1hr and 45 mins. Phoned and they was to quick to shut the conversation down. Wouldn't recommend all... total disgrace!!

We had a meal at The cinnamon lounge a couple of days ago. The found was absolutely amazing, hands down the best curry I've had in a long time. We have eaten there before and also get take away from there too. Reasonably priced would definitely recommend.

Our first indoor eating since lockdown relaxed, and this was the last place we ate out before we shut down! Staff welcoming and friendly, orders taken at our own pace and good advice on food details, including very spicy new dishes on menu! Relaxed atmosphere, good, tasty portions and a lovely evening out. The meal we had on friday was excellent. South Bengal garlic prawns and the Bengal special made good combination one being light tomatoey prawns and other deliciously meaty. The naan was crispy one surface and light and fluffy at the same time. The spinach bhaji was lovely. I find it easy to be critical but this meal was flawless! Brilliant

Got a take out for Saturday night in, food was very good and larger than average portions. We used the online ordering service which was clear and very easy to use. Will be using them again soon.

Another outstanding takeaway curry! Been eating here for 30 years, and the standard has never dropped. Thank you very much, will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered a takeaway the other night and I was Blown away, the chicken rezala was delicious and the naan was soft and good texture, will definitely be coming back here, highly recommended

Always great value when you go the cinnamon lounge. Food quality is also really good. Our most recent visit was with a group of friends and we all agreed the only thing lacking was service. A few times drinks were forgotten or the waiter would walk off while ordering. Apart from that really good.

3rd time in a row that we have to wait our delivery for more them 2 hours. Every time you call they say 15 minutes. Today we are already waiting nearly three hours and the food still didn't come. They was really good in the past but they are getting worse and worse. The food portions is getting smaller as well. I am so disappointed with them.

Delivery took 2hrs 10 minutes despite being told that it would take 55 minutes. It’s a Saturday so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and say they were busy. However, what did eventually arrive was sadly inedible. 4 of the 5 dishes were swimming in oil (ghee) to the level it was all that could be tasted. After a couple of bites it went straight into bin - not the indoor bin, I’d worry that the oil would ruin my bin. I really wish I was exaggerating but unfortunately not. I hope for this business’ sake that I just experienced a real off night for them, however I wouldn’t risk going back and couldn’t bring myself to recommend them.

Without any referals I grabbed dinner for two at the Cinnamon Lounge and was really pleased with the quality. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Very accommodating waitors. Food is delicious! Although if you like it more spicy you should ask it. My husband is guru of indian food and he thinks that not indian enough:) I loved it. Mild just how I like it. Portions quiet generous . Definitely recommend and will be happy to visit again

Is probably the best restraunt I have been too. The quality and quantity of food was more than perfect. The taste of everything was also more than perfect I have got take aways also prior to restraunt visit and it is amazing. Really highly recommend and the service is also fantastic.

Had a delivery months ago, it was an an hour and a half late, stone cold and the order was incorrect. I had to call to make payment and they were rude on to of it, so i refused to pay.The only nice thing about this restaurant are the young staff. The manager called us after finally arriving home in England after a trip home and called to humbly apologise and offered us to come in again and have a beer on them.We were pleasantly surprised and decided to go. Had an average meal but at the end was told that the old man that owns it said i owed him money! The cheek of it! Were we duped down there!!!No free beer, no apology from the owner and everyone wears a mask except him. He is obviously above everything. We will NEVER go back again.I wish them all the best against far far better indian restaurants in town!

Went for valentine's night,staff friendly and certainly made a effort. Food was good although my lamb jalfrezi was not the best however. Still recommended

We have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years however, on our last three visits the service has been extreme slow having to wait over-an hour for our food the first time and over two hours the next. The food and presentation is very good and deserves the accolades given by so many people however something is not happening with the management perhaps they are trying to handle all the takeaway business with the same amount of chefs in the kitchen. Please find a solution, before your long standing customers look elsewhere.

Ordered takeaway at ten to 6, quoted 40minutes for delivery, fine. Got to 10 past 7 no sign, phoned the restaurant to be told busy but on his way....not good enough, we'll give you a free fizzy drink next order!!! Driver arrived, no apologies for being late, food was cold, used to love this restaurant, not anymore...

Last minute booking on a very busy Saturday night. Great hosts. The mixed tikka had the best flavours, best meal by far. I was very impressed with both our mains. Will be back again and would highly recommend.

We had a very enjoyable curry for Sunday lunch with 8 of us. We had the Sunday Buffet which gave a good choice of starters and main courses for a very reasonable 12.95 each. The mains were either chicken or lamb but as none of us were vegan - not a problem. I though the chicken Dhansak and the Rogan Josh were excellent and the starters nice especially the onion Bhajis.Will certainly go back.

Reasonably priced 'buffet' which is actually selecting food from a very wide range of options. More like table d'hote. Quality good. Surroundings pleasant.

Lovely place, lovely staff and food was great. Had the biryani, chicken tikka. This was the best biryani I have had in a long time, so tasty. The menu is quite extensive. The staff are only too willing to help in any way.

I’ve never been here before, but my friends had recommended it so we went with them, the service was ok! The food was really good but the only problem was the waiters kept staring at my 14 year old daughter, which made her feel a bit self conscious we all had a free drink on the house at the end, I wouldn’t go back to be honest with you but only because there are a lot of curry in Aylesbury where I live & I don’t have to get a cab back

All you can eat buffet on a Sunday night is great value. The waiters are very friendly. I wish they could produce a menu that identifies which dishes are Gluten free though.

This is the second takeaway we have had and we will have another in the future. The was of a very good standard a d the delivery was very quick.

i Was slightly concerned as we where the only folk in the restaurant but if was mid afternoon on a Sunday. However, it didn’t matter at all. The young man who was looking after us was friendly and attentive without breathing down our necks. We where there to sample the Sunday eat ‘all you can buffet’ and it liviedup to its title. A mistake was having two starters each!!!! We thought as it was a ‘special’ menu, things would be smaller.....no..... lesson learnt! They where delicious. The main course was equally delicious. It was fresh, tasty and more than sufficient.

This used to be our local Indian restaurant. After being away for 7 years we decided to try it out again and we were not disappointed.
