Cinnamon Lounge in Islington

The standard was rather poor from early days. The service was good but the food was cooked quickly and rushed to the table. Overall I would say needs big revamp of the menu.

Have ordered lots of times but something has changed for the worse lately: sauces vinegary and watery and not up to what we expected.

Delivery drivers are so stupid and rude...won't even be able to find the simplest address!!! Do not use them!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Main course was pool of oil with overcooked fish. Mango chutney bright red with no sign of mango. Called and emailed to complain, no answer for several hours. Perhaps because the restaurant is closed and someone else if fulfilling orders. Used to be my favourite place

Was a gamble and we chose one we hadn't used before. Unfortunately neither chicken dish was to our liking. Whilst the chicken was plenty the sauces were watery and tasteless.

I've used Cinnamon Lounge many times in the past and been very happy with the food and the service. However, the last couple of times the food has been slow to arrive and cold when it does arrive. Sadly, I won't be using them again.

They forgot our free saag aloo, which was one of the reasons we ordered from them. It took an hour and the food was ok but nothing special. You can get curry this good for 25% less

Una persona nos sirve hielo en su bebida cuando no pide, este se llevaron sin ningún costo después de un breve debate con el camarero. Como vegano fui por una serie de platos vegetarianos lateral que eran absolutamente deliciosa y algunos arroz de coco que estaba perfectamente preparado. La cena para 4 de nosotros, que no podríamos terminar (3 platos principales, 3 platos, 3 arroces, un desierto y bebidas no alcohólicas), vino a alrededor de £50 sin servicio.

Visitamos el día en julio, que resultó ser lo mejor de la historia. Con la esperanza de un poco de respiro, nos decepcionó descubrir el aire acondicionado estaba apagado y que el restaurante estaba caliente para hornear. Esta incómoda empezar no hay nada mejor. Nuestras bebidas pedidos fueron tomadas después de la cual varias épocas parecía ir y venir sin ningún signo elocuente de la actividad. Frustrados, nos señas a un camarero y pedimos algunos menús - sí, es cierto, ni siquiera me acababa de esa etapa todavía! No creo que es normal tener que pedir los menús en un restaurante. La falta de atención a nuestras necesidades como clientes era impresionante. El personal parecía desinteresado. La media hora pasaron antes nuestros pedidos fueron tomadas, otra hora antes que nuestros entrantes llegamos y otros veinte minutos antes de los platos principales. No popadoms dieron durante nuestra esperar épica para empezar y no había advertencia de que la comida se toma una inusual cantidad de tiempo en llegar. Estábamos demasiado hambre para realizar cualquier tipo de evaluación objetiva de la comida en el momento que llegamos nos hubiera encantado con galletas de color crema. Los panes nann eran excelentes, el chuletas de cordero le faltaba un poco de carne y seco, la mayoría de los otros platos intermedio. Mi valoración refleja el horrible servicio pero no está mal.

The service is poor the food terrible and the management don't care for the customers. Go elsewhere in particular go to funky brownz or circle lounge , which are both nearby.

They brought the wrong type of rice and their korma was too Sweet. Also, it took too long to arrive

Habiendo visitado cientos de restaurantes indios en Londres, este sale en nuestro top 3. Los platos son muy sabrosos y muy generoso. Mongolia el pollo es el mejor plato que he tenido en cualquier restaurante. No tengo nada más que elogios para este lugar :)

Fui allí con mis padres y mi tía para salir a comer después de un ajetreado día, la comida era muy buena, especialmente los somosas veggy sin embargo me doy cuenta que es wonter pero la calefacción estaba presentamos tan alta que pensaba que iba a liberar. Los camareros eran también muy servicial. En general, estaba delicioso

Visitamos este lugar para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi padre con la familia, la comida era buena y el servicio también era bueno. La única pequeña pega fue la falta de un ambiente. Habiendo probado la mayoría de los restaurantes de southall, recomendaría este lugar para una comida india informal. En general toda la familia quedamos satisfechos y volveríamos a visitar este lugar de nuevo ... Sin embargo, si lo que quieres es algo increíble te sugeriría que el corto trayecto en coche de Harrow!

The food was delicious and delivery service and time great. Although we were told at the online checkout our meal would be delivered in 45mins, we actually received it within 30. Very fast and easy to operate the website.

Identificación recomendaría el cordero sathkora y los chefs curry especial de pollo que tanto llevar y absolutamente deliciosa combinación de sabores. No es común su Indian grasienta. Estos chicos son donde sirven comida fantástica con muy buenos precios!

Went there for a Sunday evening meal. Service was attentive and reasonably fast. We liked our starter of mixed everything, the basmati rice lamb, and the vegetable curry.

Order arrived exactly at time given. Food was very tasty. Will definately use again.

We ordered a take away meal from the Cinnamon Lounge and were disappointed. Out of five dishes only one was tasty: the chef's specialty, the rest was average if not tasteless. The dal was very liquid and really tasteless and the samosas were not fresh. It is cheap for sure and the restaurant is very smart but the quality of the food is really average.

Really poor - had to cancel my delivery as we had been waiting for over an hour. They couldn't get in touch with the driver, so had him ringing my phone when he arrived over an hour late and then having to deal with his confusion when I told him to leave it! Would not use this service again, would rather pay on arrival. On the plus side the customer service team for Just Eat were polite & apologetic and promptly refunded me.

Tandoori chicken and prawn starters off to a good start, but main course lamb special very very chewy and dry, and lamb rogan josh biblically hot.

Absolutely disgusting. Easily the worst curry I have ever had. The just eat ordering system also messed up so I didn't get my complete meal. I won't be using either company again.

To me - faultless. The best curry house I have ever tasted. The meals taste great every time - in restaurant or as a takeaway.

We finally got around to visiting this place after avoiding it for several months because it looked quite expensive from the outside and something about the name put us off. The lack of indian restaurants in the Dalston area meant that, when the evening came that all we wanted to eat was indian, we decided to give it a try.It was one of those moments when you regret not visiting a restaurant right on your doorstep sooner! The menu was extensive but I'm often put off by the vast choice at indian restaurants so I asked our waiter to recommend something medium spicy with chicken, sweet and with pineapple. He kindly said he would speak to the chef and what he brought out five minutes later was exactly what I was looking for - a kind of bhoona with pineapple. I loved it and the coconut rice I ordered was some of the best I've ever had. I was with a party of three and each of us were very happy with our meals and the service. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely food as always, have had a few issues with delivery in the past but I still wouldn´t order an Indian anywhere else.

Tardis-like in capacity and with a straightforward approach to the dear old curry classics as well as a lot of new ideas, this place has a lot going for it. The staff were friendly and the service very fast. All five of us got exactly what we wanted, and there was no pressure to do anything else. Highly recommended as a reliable oasis of straightforwardness in a part of London sometimes given over to trendy nonsense.

First time I ordered off this restaurant and the last. It took an hour to arrive even though the restaurant is about 200 yards away from me. When I called to see where my order was the guy on the phone said that It was impossible that I had been wait ing an hour. The customer service was terrible. A simple apology would have been nice instead of being accused of lying. The food was vey average naan bread and lamb chops burnt. Certainly not worth the wait! Got no apology!

I was taken here for my birthday meal a while ago and have to admit I will never set food in this restaurant again. We had driven past quite a few times and it looked quite smart from the outside, oh how looks are deceiving!The service was shockingly slow even though it was a Sunday evening and less than 25% of the restaurant was occupied. It took 3 requests and 30 minutes to bring the drinks over, the starters were so awful we complained about them being sweet *which they should not have been* and overly salty. We were brought out more starters which were supposed to be an improvement but they weren't so sent this back almost untouched. The main course for me was a vindaloo which was supposed to be spicy, it was milder than a basic mild curry! The service was just bad all evening and even though we complained 4 or 5 times during the course of our meal we were given a 10% discount. My husband was rather upset that he had chosen to take me to this awful place on my actual birthday. We vowed never to go there again! Authentic South Indian food? They lied!

Very good restaurant. It was a quiet evening but the food was flavoursome and had a good kick of spice to it. Portion sizes were good - medium size of good quality food rather than huge bowls of average food. Good meat to sauce ratio. Attentive service, and very helpful with a friend who had a particular dietary requirement, advising what could/couldn't be eaten. Not as expensive as other Indian restaurants. Modern style of dining area.

This is my local Indian restaurant of choice and I have to say, its very reliable and consistent. It's not going to knock your socks off but the food is of good quality, a cut above the average and its a great takeout option with late opening every day. I find the dining room better in summer if you get a table by the window and can people-watch, but in winter prefer to have dinner delivered.

Very disappointing! I have ordered a takeaway from this restaurant on various occasions online and offline and the food has been fine, however the last two orders I have made have had food missing. The first time we rectified the problem, however I couldn´t be bothered to phone up again to tell them we had items missing. We were missing 1 part of our order and had two parts wrong. I will not be ordering from Cinnamon Lounge again.

This is your usual neighbourhood Indian restaurant, but with a makeover and attentive service. It's not modern haute cuisine Indian like nearby Rasa, but it is good honest food which we enjoy. We get their takeaways too.

Really enjoyed the meal, however there was one item missing from the order. I phoned up and managed to resolve the problem.

Love this place. A friend lives nearby and goes at least once a week so when we are in London we go too. Loads of choices, great food and great service. Couldn't really ask for much more! Well worth every cent, or may pound!

lovely food will deffo order again

I'd been sent here by a friend.Imagine a rainy Tuesday after Jubilee. Not wanting to move from the sofa yet keen to sink my teeth into some tasty Indian fare.This was not to be.First - we were told 30 mins for delivery. It took 45 mins. When it did arrive they decided to deliver to the wrong flat and not even check. Another batch then turned up 20 minutes later.I've never had such a bad experience with indian food.The Chana Masala didn't taste anything like Chana Masala; The Tarka Daal was like sick, had the consistency of a light soup and tasted like it hadn't even been seasoned.The Lamb Saag was tasteless - the one saving grace being the lamb in there.They knocked 20% off due to the confusion prior but I have to admit this didn't make a difference. I would have preferred not to have had the meal. I felt sick and still feel sick from eating it. I didn't even bother to eat the Chana and the Tarka.Very disappointed. I can appreciate it might have been a busy night for orders (rainy Tuesday before work) Couldn't help but think they took on jobs / orders even though they couldn't manage them properly because this food was beyond substandard.

Cinnamon Lounge is my local Indian restaurant... I haven't eaten at the restaurant, but I have ordered take-away several times. Getting a 15% discount when you collect your meal is a nice touch if you live just across the road (and you happen to be a student on a budget).The setting is contemporary, decked out in shades of brown and orange, very sleek, clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and courteous, although I did not have the opportunity to experience full service. The food is typical British Indian fare, however much lighter and tastier. The food does not swim in pools of fat and the chilli is not overbearing, so you can enjoy the flavours of the hotter dishes without annihilating your palate. Cinnamon Lounge is a great value for money!

If you like indian food in a western-style environment this will be up your street. the food is typical british-indian fare, thick coconut rich sauces etc.

We are so lucky to have this as our "local curry house". There is lots of competition for them around here, particularly near Stoke Newington Church Street, but Cinnamon Lounge beats them all. Its unusual for Indian style cooking in that it never leaves you feeling bloated; Its fresh and light. Try their Treat mixed starter to get a feel for the prowess of the chefs.

We eat at cinnamon lounge fairly regularly. The food is always excellent and staff are friendly and very attentive.If you are looking for a fresh, tasty curry in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go.

I stumbled upon this establishment last summer when I was flat sitting for a friend in Islington. After having my American credit card rejected from another restaurant, we decided to give Cinnamon Lounge a try. The service was prompt and friendly, the decor new and relaxing, and the food just amazing! The place truly is a local gem. My friend and I liked the food so much, that we actually had our final meal there before returning home. I'm looking forward to eating there again when I return to London this summer.
