Our recent visit to Cinnamon Kitchen in Devonshire Square for a birthday celebration was nothing short of spectacular. Originally, we booked an outdoor table on the terrace, complete with cozy blankets for the evening chill. As the night progressed and temperatures dropped, we requested a move indoors. Despite the bustling environment, Nasir Afsar, the assistant manager, was exceptionally accommodating. He arranged for us to continue our celebration in the private dining room, adding an extra touch of exclusivity to our friend Carla’s special day. The private dining room provided a perfect, intimate backdrop for the remainder of the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant, housed in a beautifully renovated warehouse of the East India Trading Company, blends historical charm with modern elegance. The main dining area is stunningly decorated with over 5,000 mother of pearl tiles and brass globe lights that create a captivating play of light and textures. The culinary experience matched the impressive setting. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable, ensuring a memorable birthday celebration. We had also arranged for a birthday cake, which arrived adorned with plenty of candles, delighting everyone at the table. Cinnamon Kitchen is ideally located in Devonshire Square, a vibrant enclave surrounded by London’s bustling quarter. The area offers a diverse array of food, drink, and cultural experiences, all within a short 10-minute walk from the heart of the city. Additionally, the restaurant's proximity to Liverpool Street Station, just a 2-minute walk away, makes it incredibly accessible. Extremely spicy/over-seasoned food, I was naive enough to think that aubergine steak was actual steak . Left with slight indigestion. Wouldn't come back.

Great private dining space in the Liverpool Street venue. Lovina our event manager, was very accommodating and ensured we were able to tailor this private dinner to our needs but also stick within budget. This private space was perfect as it allowed for our guests to have the additional privacy and quiet to be able to have meaningful conversations. Being able to see the active kitchen too from the room added a fun dynamic to the event. In addition, it was great to be able to have a screen we could use for slides. Great value for money and would recommend this space for anyone looking to deliver a high quality private event whether for family, friends or clients.

I was there because I received a gift voucher. I was surprised to see that there were only few people, although the food is delicious, the staff really friendly and the location very chic. I would definitely recommend it!

We were gifted the tasting menu and enjoyed every single dish. A great mix of traditional and modern flavours with superbly cooked lamb, pork ribs, king prawns and venison amongst other dishes. Great service and delicious bottle of wine. Superb birthday for my guest, thank you

We have recently been to Cinnamon Kitchen for Holi event and it was the best decision. Apart from appreciating the fact that a restaurant is organising holi event and lunch/dinner themselves in the heart of London, every single detail was amazing!! It is just a short walk from Liverpool Street so commuting is very easy. I have to mention Anna at reception for being the ever smiling, lovely receptionist. She quickly checked in our coats and told us we could use the toilets after playing holi much needed as we had to travel back! Tarika was looking after all arrangements that day in the restaurant and outside at the Holi venue and was the most helpful, charming and courteous. I have to give 101/100 to the staff as well. The closed venue ( Hous3 of Holi) was perfect to play holi with friends and family without colours going outside still having fun. The best part is colours are kept for everyone to take and no one was handing them to us. We loved the little laddoos/sweets as well. It was amazing to play and celebrate Holi whilst the whole world at thr heart of London passed us by and enjoyed along! It was a lovely atmosphere, amazing ambience and lovely staff who cared about quality more than quantity. Thank you Cinnamon Kitchen, you all have made our Holi memorable!!

Delicious food served with a side of sass! The preparation was top-notch, the ambiance was decent, but oh boy, the attitude was a tad too generous. My server kept reminding me that they were closing soon like a broken record—five times to be exact! Dude, I got it the first time! Let me have a heart-to-heart with my dining partner here. We’re not blind, we’re not deaf, and trust me, we won’t linger past closing. Just bring us the starter, and if it’s minuscule, I’ll order more right away. Maybe I’m not that hungry, okay? Not everyone needs a feast, chill out. But here’s where it gets hilarious: They whisked away my plates while I was still nibbling, way before closing time! Talk about eager beavers! It was like they were in a race against their own closing hours. Gotta love a restaurant with a sense of humor, even if it’s unintentional.

This was our first time at Cinnamon Kitchen-it won’t be our last! The food was absolutely amazing and the service from Raj was equally amazing. Raj helped explain the menu and advised us on the various dishes and their accompaniments. We had a fantastic evening and thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience-thank you Raj and team-we will be back!

Food is brilliant. Service can be a bit slow but the food makes up for it

Holi feast was excellent - great flavors, variety, and super friendly folks!

The food is always good. Welcoming place to have a meal. Once I was there almost 40 minutes earlier than their normal dinner serving time, I thought they would turn me away. But after a quick chat with the kitchen staff, they started to make a dinner for me.

We had a nice evening but the front of house host gave a very bad first impression. She was not welcoming at all and when we asked if there was a cloakroom we were given coathangers - not really the service I would’ve expected. When seated the staff were very attentive and the food was very nice but your host really let it down

Excellent indian food in a comfortable environment.

The food was superb, so flavourful and really delicious. It was just a small portion and for the price I would have expected a full plate of food. Service was great and it wasn’t too loud though the restaurant was only half full.

A great standard of Indian food served and presented timely from the the Mother’s Day special menu. Peter and the team provided an excellent service for the from to house team and were on top form. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Peter who looked after us was excellent and accommodating. All staff were very professional and nice Food was tasty. Atmosphere on Mother’s Day was great. Only minor improvement is the restaurant could do with some refurbishment but appreciate costs are high at the moment so not likely to be feasible/a priority. Thanks again.

Toilets could be cleaner and dogs should not be allowed in the restaurant.

A fantastic meal, and great service. We had a voucher (from BuyAGift) for the 7-course tasting menu. You wonder how you’ll be treated when you show up with a voucher, but we were given a very warm welcome and our waiter Peter was brilliant - knowledgable, personable, and carefully managing the courses to give us a bit of time between each one. The food is a delight: varied, imaginative, beautifully spiced. One of the best meals we’ve ever had, served in a friendly, professional way. Thank you!

Interesting menu that hit the mark on all that I tried. Standout was the lamb main dish - heads up though, it's quite spicy. Good portion too. Service was good and nice enough atmosphere to boot. Not cheap place but to be expected in that part of London.

The restaurant is located conveniently near to Liverpool Street, so convenient for any traveller that wants to eat some Indian Food on the go Although don’t be expecting the usual Indian feast with lots of choices between classical curries and contemporary Indian cuisine Unfortunately the lunch menu was quite poor with few choices,especially vegetarian/vegan. It was a booking for two people and the table was pretty small, felt like very difficult to eat on, especially if you have a drink and meal each and not sharing.

Great in the evening, please improve lunchtime service.

I haven’t had Indian cuisine in Florida where I live in a long time but when in London, it’s a must. Our hotel recommended Cinnamon Kitchen and so glad they did. We had the Punjabi samosas as our starter. Wonderful! Loved the pomegranate seeds as a special touch. I had the chargrilled king prawns. Sauce was lovely and flavorful. Husband had the chargrilled chicken, which he really enjoyed. Limon, our server, was extraordinary, helping us order dishes and choose beverages. Highly recommend.

Excellent food - the lamb was so tender and delicious. The chilly mango dessert was sublime. Efficient service. Good place for work dinner.

We came here for the Masterchef experience. Really amazing, all the chefs came and spent time with the table. Service was great - Ash especially was amazing. Really enjoyable!

We were forced to sit outside as the inside table we had booked was full (although to be fair to the team they did call up 1 hour before to say this). There was no lager in the restaurant, just ale, which was a disappointing limitation. Food was excellent, but slow (not the fault of the staff).

Generous portions, exceptionally friendly service, and delightful indoor and outdoor spaces. (Outdoor space is covered) if you’re looking for quality Indian cuisine, it's a worthwhile visit. The only drawback was the excessive spiciness, overshadowing the diverse range of flavors. Excellent vegan selection and separate menus.

Starters were ok but the main was terrible. Naan hasn’t risen properly and the inside was stodgy. When we could not finish the food staff turned passive aggressive (except one, who tried to offer some replacement). We visited the Battersea’s Cinnamon Kitchen 4 times and it was one of our favourite restaurants. I think we will stick to Battersea in the future.

Service was excellent, went for a birthday dinner and they surprised us with a birthday dessert. They also made accommodations as requested and were very friendly. Food was tasty and portions were decent, only issue was unfortunately the masala chai was over-brewed and undrinkable but luckily all the other food was outstanding so that made up for it. Highly recommend

Had yet another wonderful meal at Cinnamon Kitchen. I only have one little complaint and that was that our starter came out with the main course however it's possible thast I didn't make this clear when I ordered

The food was really nice. Service was quite slow but it was a busy night. But it was so loud inside. The tables were pretty crammed in. Not enough sound softening material at all. We just couldn't hear one another around the table and were relieved to leave and get outside. A shame

We were four people and had an absolute amazing evening. The food was great and the service was incredible. My partner forgot his laptop but they came running when we left to hand back his backpack — will definitely come back! Really close to Liverpool St as well.

We had the 9 courses sample meal for 2 people. The starters were very good, tikka chicken and hummus beetroot especially. The presentation were nice However, the main course of beef and lentil curry we're very salty. We only had a little and left it The other dishes were very average and we didn't feel the food deserve more than 2 stars and my local Indian takeaway were better. I wouldn't spend £90 for a meal of that quality. They didn't add service charge for 8 ppl and under which was good. Overall Food for starters 4 star Main course 2 star Very noisy so I will be hard to chat. Drinks were 3 star. An experience but wouldn't be coming back.

Hardly Indian. Food should have flavors of India if not spices.

From arriving to leaving everyone was polite and courteous. Arrived early and was seated straight away, Had the 9 dish taster and every dish was excellent, would not hesitate to have again but will pick something else next time.

Booked via virgin experience days so had a set menu. Staff were lovely and great atmosphere. However only one vegetarian option per course on set menu which was quite disappointing.

Not been here for a while and wish I’d gone somewhere else. Drinks were unremarkable, food was served quickly (not freshly cooked it seemed) and not the standard I was expecting. It was very noisy and chaotic so we left early. Shame, used to be lovely. Toilets need cleaning, locks missing on doors and no decent soap and towels. We won’t be back unfortunately.

I am sorry to be leaving a somewhat negative review, as I have previously enjoyed dining at Cinnamon Kitchen and the food is always delicious. On this occasion, however, the experience was spoiled by the waiter who dealt with us when paying our bill (not the staff who had served us). He was brusque and impatient to a very unpleasant degree. He made us feel we were being a nuisance - a really unfortunate end to our dining experience.

1st visit to this restaurant. Good food and service. Enjoyed 2 courses from the set lunch menu. Looking forward to a return visit.

Me and my boyfriend did a masterclass at Cinnamon Kitchen today (3/2/24). What an incredible experience! Honestly can’t fault anything. The staff and the chefs were lovely, welcoming, friendly and a great help in the kitchen. They were taking us step by step through all of the different dishes, letting us know some tricks and tips, etc. Also, we met some amazing people! Such a lovely morning/afternoon. The dishes we made were signature dishes the chef picked out. People in the class also requested certain things to be made, which they did happily! This was such a nice thing to do! Quite expensive as you can imagine. You r working along side some top chefs with years of experience. You get what you paid for. And it was AMAZING! The dishes were INCREDIBLE! They were all freshly made. The ingredients were all good quality. You literally had to pick your own spices from the array of spices. Crazy! We then ate the lunch that we prepared and the cooks finished off with their final touches. Food 10/10! Overall, such an amazing experience. We left with a signed cookbook from Chef Vivek Singh himself, the apron we wore all day, a bag of all the spices and a cute tote bag. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves cooking, wants to know more about Indian cookery or just wants to learn anything about cooking with Indian spices.

We attended the masterclass cooking experience that we won in a raffle. The experience was amazing from start to finish. Firstly, we were welcomed by polite and friendly waiters with coffee and light breakfast. The executive chef(and CEO) gave a speech along with the other 3 head chefs from other cinnamon resturant. They asked the group if there was anything we wanted to cook specifically or any dietary requirements. Then we were gifted an apron and recipes that we would cook in the kitchen. Next we entered the kitchen and cooked the dishes that we were given (we had a choice in our groups of what to cook) Throughout the time in the kitchen we were supported by all of the head chefs in cooking and we were taught how to do new things from the start (I actually had no cooking experience before going - but was no issue at all). At the end of the experience we were sat in the dining room where we ate the food we prepared/cooked. The dishes finished off by the chefs and the food was incredible. The fact that the famous chefs including Vivek Singh and one other chef who was on Masterchef spent so much time explaining and teaching us made this a once if in a lifetime experience. This is an experience I would recommend to anyone despite the hefty price tag.

Was expecting big things but felt a little disappointed with the service and quality / portions of the food. We ordered the sharing platter but felt it was a little light considering it was to be shared amongst 6 people. Service we had to keep trying to get the attention of waiters / staff to take a drinks order \ come over and serve us.

Menu and food quality is just about average. Service is decent. The place didn't even have proper heating. Won't go there ever again.

Lunch time for 4 people. Restaurant only had a few tables full. Service good enough. Food good. However clearly they had a corporate event in the evening so the tables and chairs all around us were being moved and the tiled floor mopped with a nice bleachy smelling solution. Not pleasant.

I've been to Cinamon Kitchen many times before and always enjoyed the food. This time went for the set menu and it was OK... but not as nice as a la carte I've had before. However why I won't be going back in a rush was down to the service. For the first time in many 100s of restaurant visits the waiter was simply rude to us and it was a major inconvenience for them to serve us. Basically the issue was we wanted to do a set menu for the table but had one vegetarian amongst us. They really were not happy with that as there is no vegetarian option for set menus.... but reluctantantly gave in.... then went on to plonk meat dishes in front of our vegetarian friend! I wasn't impressed and spoiled our meal.

Arguably the one the best Indian fusion food cuisines in London. Lovely location and great decor. And really good staff. It was 5 of us and the last time we caught up was at Cinnamon Bazaar @ Covent Garden and we thought that was good but Cinnamon Kitchen takes it to another higher level. A must-try! Kudos to the chef and staff of Cinnamon Kitchen. Definitely coming back!

Excellent service throughout. Food was wonderful, but I had one dish not too my liking and the staff were kind enough to offer an alternative without charges of original dish or the alternative. They demonstrate a real commitment to customer satisfaction which I hugely applaud.

Lovely food and great service my only ‘complaint’ is that the noise level in the restaurant should be revisited. It’s difficult to have a conversation with your table the acoustics at not great and loud noises do seem to carry. I had an issue hearing what my friend was saying. Despite this minor grievance I would go back but perhaps request a different table.

Been going to Cinnamon Kitchen for 10 years as a convenient regular haunt for me and my friend to catch up. And last night did not disappoint. We had the feast celebration menu as they have been open 15 years we were told. And what a feast it was. Wow! It was my friend's birthday and Peter our waiter made her feel very special indeed. His service was impeccable and he was so attentive and charming, explaining the dishes and making sure we didn't wait for anything. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

We had a 5pm table so it was nice and quiet but starting to pick up as we left. The food was amazing, would highly recommend and staff were attentive throughout the meal. Will definitely be returning

Excellent Indian food of the highestquality, and a cocktail bar for drinks before or after dinner.

Tasty food, fresh and healthy flavours (unlike some heavier tasting Indian food). Service was very friendly, but slow at times as the restaurant was very busy. It is a nice new modern and bright restaurant but when full it was very noisy.

Excellent work dinner at Cinnamon Kitchen yesterday. We were a group of 9, and we got taken to a private dining area which was great as the main dining area got busy very quick. The staff who served the room was very attentive and the service was extremely quick. We ordered different starters and mains, all of which tasted authentic and my favourite was the Lucknow chicken biriyani. The rice was puffy and the chicken was tender and spicy, the way the Biriyani should be. The pricing was very good and highly recommended.

Excellent food but understaffed. Two of us (work colleagues) ate for dinner (6:30 start) on a Tuesday evening. Food was excellent (we had the 9 dish feast, which was decent value at £45/head) and drinks were fairly priced. Some draft beer would be a nice addition. Noise level moderate - there was enough vibe but we could easily have a good conversation. Restaurant was fairly busy but not completely full. Service was friendly and helpful, but got slower towards the end of the meal (we left around 8:00pm). But where it was really let down was there weren't enough staff. There was one woman on reception who had to book in new customers, take them to table and manage coats/bags. Often she just wasn't around as taking people to table - we had to wait a long time to get our bags at the end of the meal. But the worst was the restaurant wasn't cleared promptly as diners left - tables were left with dirty food residue on and dirty plates were stacked up high on trays. This just isn't pleasant and isn't good enough - they either need more staff or a maitre d' who gets the team to get their act together. But the food was good and for somewhere near to Liverpool St was reasonably priced. I will try it one more time.
