Delicious food, some of the best Italian I’ve had in the UK. The service was a little slow (it was a Wednesday evening though to be fair) but overall it was a lovely place to eat.

Been here last week with my partner. The restaurant looks great and the food is good. Overall prices are more expensive when compared to other restaurants where the quality of the food is similar. My main reason for giving 3 stars is the fact we need to pay a 12.5% service change which for us was equivalent of 8 pounds. I feel I should not need to pay this assuming all staff has a salary. I should be able to choose if I wanna leave a tip for a staff member if I feel their service was outstanding. There is a note on the menu about this change and we did not want to be unpolite and leave because of it, so we paid it as we were aware of it before we order, but this put me off in coming back and this is the only reason why this restaurant will not be one of my first italian restaurant tecommendations.

Great service, great atmosphere, I loved the starter & main except the dessert, not what I expected, my dessert was quite tasteless and I was very disappointed, but the staff were so friendly ☺️

We have been going for Dinner at Cini’s with a group of friends for a few years and their food plus service has always been exceptional. However, on this occasion it fell short of their normal standards, for example, they didn’t have slim line Tonic, the waitress started to sprinkle Parmesan on a dish we didn’t want it on. We asked for Creamy Pasta and what came out was a dish that certainly wasn’t creamy. The service was also poor because not once did any of the waiters came to ask if our meal was satisfactory. Finally when paying our share of the Bill, we had to repeat to the Waiter how much it was as she kept making mistakes. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive because normally it is on the mark!

Lunch at Cinis today was exquisite. There is a beautifully curated new menu and some exciting specials too. I had lamb shank that had been taken off the bone and served on Parmesan mashed potatoes. It was heavenly, so tender and perfectly seasoned. My colleague had risotto with a side of rocket and shaved Parmesan which she described as absolutely divine. This authentic Italian family owned and run restaurant has an extraordinarily warm and welcoming atmosphere, the service was really wonderful and the food genuinely out of this world.

Very nice food, but small portions and a bit pricey

Service was very slow waited over an hour and a half for food. But the staff informed us every step of the way. Food was okay. But would have been better if didn't have to wait so long and the table that came in after us by half hour got their food before us because they were friends with people in the place.

Enjoyed a great evening dining at Cini . The restaurant is immaculate and well designed. Both our grandsons loved the invitation to help with making their own pizza. The Food is very good and the staff are excellent. Very good customer service. Brilliant experience for a whole family outing to celebrate a birthday. Highly Recommended !!

A really good lunch - my mother and I chose the mussels, which were very plump and juicy and cooked perfectly. My 10 year old son ordered a margherita pizza which he also really enjoyed. We had a focaccia garlic bread to share as a starter - delicious. A good local option. The staff were also really lovely and friendly. Definitely will come back.

We went for my partner’s birthday. We waited ages (and I mean ages!) for our order to be taken. Another party (who sounded Italian) were immediately taken care of first. This may be a factor as the restaurant is Italian. I had to chase the waitress twice and they forgot my drink. Incidentally, there was plenty of staff and it wasn’t busy with customers. So I don’t know why they were so slow. When the food finally arrived it was sublime. The food is reasonably priced but the drinks aren’t. So if you don’t mind waiting it’s worth it for the food. If you are in a rush maybe avoid.

Ridiculously overpriced plus watch out for the service charge. Food was well presented and hot but the calamari and prawns were like rubber as so over cooked. The sauce wasn't tasty either. Very disappointed. Having said that, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Sorry but will not be going back.

The boss is a disgrace and a danger to women, he struck a employee round the face and verbally abused her because he was having a bad day.

We have been customer of this lovely restaurant fir years and every time we visit it's a joy! Food is superb, vast choice of excellent wine, great service and lovely atmosphere. They also organise several lovely events and themed dinners throughout the year.

I took my granddaughter along for a mini chef experience today. Our granddaughter is 9 and she absolutely loved going into the kitchen with the chef and creating her own pizza. She was amazed seeing the chef stretching the dough on his hand. She watched the pizza going in and then enjoyed eating it with more than enough left to take home. Well done all the staff who were attentive and really pleasant. A bargain for £10 can totally recommend.

Not a good experience. Food was cold, blant. Lacked salt and flavour.i order ravioli , it came with butternut squash sauce which did not go well with it at all. The place was cold, and lacked some decor too. Not a pleasant place looked more like dining room in hospital. Way too overpriced as well .there were 4 raviollis on the plate for 18 pounds. No one bother to check on us too.

The food was lovely. However didn’t appreciate the sneaky service charge or over charging of drinks we never had. This isn’t the first time this has happened. If you go double check your bill!

Love this place and use to take clients regularly to with work. Great, mostly authentic Intalian food, well presented and served with a smile.

Another gorgeous, relaxed lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. Food is always freshly made and top notch, the wine is paired beautifully. Arrival cocktails are delicious! Never had a bad word to say about this lovely place, whether you nip in for a yuck pizz and a drink or a full a la carte evening meal, the standard is always superb, and the welcome always friendly.

Four of us went for dinner on Friday 2nd December 2022 and had an incredible meal. It's not often I find it hard to choose want I want from a menu, but all the choices on their seasonal set menu were attractive. However the quality of the food was outstanding. We enjoyed everything and had brilliant night. Thank you so much Cinis.

My husband and I came here for a date night. The wait staff were good and pleasant. The food was OK. We ordered bread and olives whilst we waited. We had the antipasti to share which was good but it's just meat, cheese and salad, so you can't really go wrong. For our mains my husband and I both had the veal... That was underwhelming. I'm glad we ordered 3 sides because I ended up giving most of my veal to my husband and eating the sides. We didn't care much for the dessert options so decided to skip it and buy something on our way home.

My Husband and I went to Cini on Saturday night and will never darken their door again. The waiting staff were really pleasant and that's the only positive I can find from the night. The food was dull and uninteresting. The Ravioli I had which was described as being served ON a vegetable jus with a drizzle of basil pesto and olive oil, arrived swamped in a vegetable casserole. I couldn't even see the ravioli which was meant to be the star...the whole dish was flavourless. My husband had the fillet which looked to have been left on one side to cook so it was dry and then swamped with a sauce he didn't know was with the dish. Everything else was extra £. Broccoli x 3 tender stems £5 chips £5 on top of £35 for a fillet I think is overpriced here. We did pleasantly feedback and were assured it would be passed on to the chef. Who was already apparently b**locking a member of staff because once again they had forgotten to toast the pine nuts and "they've told him so many times" not what I wanted to hear really. I couldn't believe my eyes when the bill came for over £160 including 1 bottle of wine and two gins. An absolute rip off. When we queried it, it was referred to the Chef who then rounded on my Husband asking him "What do YOU DO for a living" it would seem unless you are a chef your opinion on his food is invalid. He ended up physically barging my husband, throwing the bill across the room and marching off to the kitchen. We had no intention at all of not paying for our meal. I felt most sorry for the staff who were left apologising on his behalf. Last time we were there we had a table booked for 8pm and were left at the bar until gone 9.30 because the table we were meant to be sat on still had diners at it and they wouldn't ask those diners to move to the bar even though they had finished their meal. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant when you have other decent restaurants in South Leicestershire that give you fantastic value for money and no belligerent chef!!

We had our son christening party here in august. I couldn’t fault any of the staff whatsoever. Andrea, the owner, was there at all times and he made sure that that everyone has a lovely evening and things were running smoothly. Food was very good and tasty and everything was freshly made to order( cooked fresh according to preferences, from the menu)I can recommend this restaurant for any occasion( private party or just a dinner). A last minute booking on a Friday evening with our children aged 5 and 7. The service was fantastic the food was simple but beautiful and tasty. They were so kind to our children and made us feel at ease. It was busy but the service was great and we will definitely be returning.

I had not visited Cini for a number of years but was absolutely blown away! We went there for my birthday meal and the whole experience was positive. First, the food, which was top quality, well presented and tasty. Second, the service, which was friendly, relaxed and efficient - up with best. Third, the restaurant itself, which is bright, modern and comfortable. Finally, the bill, which was very reasonable. Well done Cini _ we will return!

Visited Cini recently and had a fantastic evening. Drinks were amazing and food was top notch. What really makes this hidden gem stand out is the staff. Despite being obviously young they really make this place the most amazing experience, make you feel so welcome and like you’ve known them for years. I was served by a young girl called Olivia who made no request feel too much or like we were a inconvenience and ensured we had a lovely evening. The warmth and charisma of the staff is what makes this place stand out as a go to for an evening out as well as the delicious food. The only reason it’s not 5* is because the atmosphere was let down by the constant swearing coming from the kitchen which frankly made us feel quite uncomfortable. Apart from that I really can’t fault this place and will definitely be returning soon.

Our 3rd visit to Cinis last Friday night & we are never disappointed. As lovely as ever. Clean, wonderful food & atmosphere.The barman that used to work there made me the nicest Espresso Martinis I'd ever had. Two friends and I visited last night. Our table was booked for 8pm and after a long wait by the bar without anyone taking our drinks order we finally saw someone to ask to be seated at our table. Again we waited for ages at the table for someone to take out order and our request for tap water and ice was forgotten / ignored the first time. The food when it eventually came was good but the whole evening was spoiled by a lack of attentive service. We were there for 2.5 hrs and only managed bread and olives plus a main. We had wanted desserts and coffees but we all needed to get back for our children so their slow service cost them. Definitely wouldn't return I'm afraid.

Brilliant restaurant and my second time visiting. Staff and lovely for accommodating our large group. Small menu but plenty to choose from. Wine amazing and food brilliant. Had the special of scallops to start and calzone for main. Perfect! Would also recommend the beef wellington which I had last time and was enjoyed without our group once again.

My friends and I booked a table for 19:30 and upon arrival we were seated at the bar and ordered drinks. An 1hr and 15mins later, after asking three times, our order was finally taken around 20:45. We were absolutely starving and a bit annoyed. We were then given ‘free’ bread as an apology. Such a shame as the food was wonderful and the restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The restaurant was busy and I understand that earlier pre-booked tables had arrived late, which isn’t the restaurant’s fault. All that was needed was better communication, letting us know what had happened, taking our order and pre-warning us of the wait. We would have understood the situation and relaxed. The staff did apologise and ensure that we were taken care of after our wait. So I would still recommend as i am sure this a minor blip in what is a lovely restaurant with delicious food. Just a bit of pre-management of guests would be needed if this happened again.

Had a great experience last night. We were recommended to try CINI... now it is certainly on our regular list! The food was wonderful, i started with Anatra fumicato.. ((smoked Duck). It was so tasty, my partner had the giant gamberone, steamed and flavoured to perfection.We were served by Mario and Keely ( hope that is the correct spelling ). Once again an outstanding meal, great service, lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent, the food was delicious. Great wine selection, can’t rate this restaurant highly enough, we’ll definitely be going back. Thank you

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years and it can get noisy due to the open plan layout. Best tables are in the back room away from the bar. Service is good, you can sit on one of the comfy sofas/chairs with a drink whilst ordering your food which is good, nicely cooked but not exceptional for the price. Thee wasn't anything bad about the meal but thought it was expensive for what you got. Woud go again but wouldnt rush back.

I meant to write this before now but busy life has taken over! What a fab day we had. Nothing was too much trouble and literally everything was fantastic. Canapes, wedding breakfast, evening pizzas, drinks etc! We had such amazing feedback from our guests. Can't recommend highly enough. Andrea, Susie, Miriam and the whole team were fabulous. Thank you for making our day so special. We'll be visiting soon!
