Very enjoyable testing food and wine experience

This restaurant has great potential and the staff were very pleasant. However, I feel this is a money business more than a restaurant. What I mean by that is most things (including the negroni which is a glass full of ice and premixed) are pre-made in batches and £24 for three small pieces of monkfish is a little rich. I eat out in Brighton all the time and spent £90 at riddle and Finns a day before for much better authentic food. £160 for two because of the small plates is not good and I didn’t see an Italian person in there, staff or kitchen. No prominent food smells as everything seems pre-made. That said the food was enjoyable but we will not be back. The owners should think more about customer service and repeat business rather than margin. I hope that helps.

We have been meaning to dine at Cin Cin Hove for a number of years given the amazingly positive reviews it continues to receive and finally got round to booking a table for 2 for my fiancées birthday. The restaurant is cosy, comfortable and the welcome and service was exceptional. The kitchen is open plan, and I love that the chefs sometimes serve the food direct to the table! We opted for a midweek menu special which is incredible value for money with 3-courses and a carafe of house wine. The food is simply delicious, seasonal ingredients expertly matched for a well balanced dish. The Rabbit Croquette was exceptional, as was the Balanzoni of wild garlic and Strozzapreti. A perfect dinner!

Y'all gotta get yourselves down here, ask for Angie, get one of her exquisite Espresso martinis and fly away through their menu of sheer passion. My GOD it was so good, just a lunch date with daddy today and we were so lucky to have the company of all the great staff with Angie paying special attention to us. Menu to die for, prices so worth it if a little above the average but WHO CARES RIGHT! Go out and eat your destiny, then drink it, then have more! I'm coming back for you, the smoothest Espresso martinis in town and I can guarantee this as I have done a Martini crawl before. See you next time Cin Cin! Xxx

Loved the first visit, 2nd visit a disappointment. Service really not great, house red wine awful - draft! Had to return as was fizzy. (They should tell you it’s on tap before ordering) Meal sizes have shrunk - tiny meals. Overall an expensive meal and still hungry at the end.

Lovely food and service one of our favourites in Brighton

This was a very good experience. The food tasted fresh and vibrant, and the ambience was just about right. I was disappointed with my chocolate fondant and the table was a little cramped, hence 4 rather than 5 stars.

Truly excellent - food was innovative and wonderfully tasty. Went for their 40 pound set menu and great value for money (includes wine) and dishes were perfectly prepared. Highly recommend this restaurant - we eat at many fine dining establishments and this restaurant punches above its weight. Brilliant.

Acknowledgement of the lunch to celebrate my wife's Birthday would have been appreciated. I did mention it when booking and again when I confirmed the booking. Such a shame.

Second visit to Cin Cin Hove. Everything really great, apart from the fact that we had to move tables between courses. An admin problem apparently. Handled brilliantly by the staff.

The food was unreal. As a chef I always hope that the food will be something I couldn't just make at home for half the price and Cin Cin very much isn't like that. Beautifully complex flavour profiles and fantastic seasoning, every bite will have you wishing you could just keep eating forever. I had the Venison main course which was beautifully cooked and served with beetroot and a wonderful earthy toned sauce. Also came with the best cous cous ive ever eaten. My partner had one of the pasta based dishes which she said was the best pasta she's ever eaten. For dessert i had the rice pudding, elevated fantastically with blood orange sorbet and rhubarb. Even the light bites we had before eating were brilliant. Despite all the wonderful high class food we were pleasently suprised at the reasonable pricing. Significantly fairer than some other local places catering in the mid range. If im picky i wish they offered a gluten free pasta option and the chairs weren't the comfiest but all in all just a wonderful meal out. We will be back soon

We were a party of 4 and, dined at 1315, the restaurant had just a couple of customers dining in front counter area which was a poor start. We found the venue underwhelming with a poor ambience. The service was friendly and good. Mixed feelings about the food, from ok to good..The rhubarb dessert was excellent.

We had such a fantastic time at Cin Cin Hove last night for my birthday dinner. The service was impeccable and super friendly, the food was delicious with a special thumbs up for the chickpea starters, vegetarian ragu, salad and chocolate and pistachio fondant!

We recently moved to the area and decided to chance it on getting a table. We had such a lovely evening and were delighted by the food and atmosphere. I also had lots of gluten free options to choose from. Thank you so much for our little anniversary plate and for being so approachable despite being rushed off your feet! ⭐️

We went to one of the set menu themed evenings and had a great meal with good service.

Stunning food, lovely venue, great service and the best espresso martinis I’ve had in a long time!

Very dark and cramped to the point of being squashed and elbowed by the people behind us. The staff were polite and helpful, so I cannot fault them. The food did not feel very Italian and could have done with sticking closer to the cuisine. For example, rice pudding and rhubarb could have easily been panna cotta or tiràmisu. Venison loin and salt-baked beetroot did not feel Italian at all. Food quality was decent, but extremely overpriced for what it was, as were the drinks. £31 for a can of diet coke and two glasses of wine was very steep.

I'm not sure how the super-relaxed staff in the kitchen upstairs produce such incredibly inventive and beautiful food; there must be some sort of Kitchen Confidential place downstairs full of slaves. You really should go; it's fantastic.

Rally nice place with excellent service. Not normally my go-to place, so I thought I'd give it a go and glad I did.

Cin Cin were delightful, and incredibly helpful in sorting my daughters 18th birthday meal. They couldnt have been nicer and I was told the meal was absolutely delicious. A very special place.

Great lunch date location and their set lunch was fabulous. They are also dog friendly so we were able to bring our little dog with us. Highly recommend and would be happy to go again

The food here is exceptional. The service was great, very attentive despite them being extremely busy. We were very crammed in to our table and as two tall people it was slightly uncomfortable but the food made up for it!

Fabulous food great flavours and refreshingly different menu. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. However the atmosphere was rushed and high energy - not helped by loud, fast music. Great to see somewhere busy but 1 hour for our 3 courses wasn’t quite what we were looking for. We will definitely be back but maybe for a lunch or mid week (we visited in a Saturday evening just after valentines).

I felt really frustrated after this meal. It didn’t qualify for high quality fine dining, or cosy Italian but some awkward (and very overpriced) in-between. I wish i could say the flavours were wonderful, but even that was disappointing, so much fluff but no substance. The salt levels were off in every dish, and the portions were ABSOLUTELY tiny. - so much that we had to pass by another restaurant on our way home to get some actual dinner. Safe to say, never again and don’t recommend - quite the trendy trap.

Valentine’s Day. Embarrassed about payment method. Mediocre food, terrible service. Served gone off quaffs of wine. Honestly, been there a few times in the past and it’s been great but I cannot believe the level of service, quality of food and experience tonight… Avoid like the plague

What a gorgeous experience we had at this Restaurant. The service was welcoming, warm and friendly , the food was fantastic and all beautifully presented. My husband had the 5 course set menu along with the wine pairing. I went a la carte and opted for several starters and sides. Another guest went for starter, main & dessert options from the specials board. The kitchen & servers were very flex and so accommodating to all our requests. The 3 of us shared their cheese & charcuterie board to start and it was delicious. Cheese was exceptionally good! We sat at the sit up bar so could see the kitchen and all the buzz of the restaurant which we loved. Even the play list was perfect 🎵 We can’t wait to revisit!

Cin Cin is one of our favourite restaurants in Brighton. We haven’t been for a while as we had others we wanted to check out so it was lovely to reacquaint. It did not disappoint. The food was spectacular, as always, and we got the midweek 3 course deal with wine. Good value and felt like a real treat.

Food was mediocre. Not bad, but not great either. The menu wasn't particularly exciting... bordering on bland.

Great modern ambience; separate bar area and restaurant area. Good menu variety, lots of creativity in the menu. Great taste, all the pasta was handmade and delicious! Food came quickly. Portions were slightly on the smaller side which is great if you are diet conscious, but not if you are ravenous ;-)

The food was very tasty and they have a vegan and vegetarian menu for January 🙂 the only thing I would say is that the area where we were sat was quite cold and compact. The staff were lovely and our food didn't take long to arrive

What a lovely suprise. Cin Cin hasn't been on our radar as the only time we went (6 years ago) it was pretty meaty. Went here for veganuary menu. What an absolute delight. Stunning food, stunning drinks and great service. The pass was a bit cold due to sub zero temperatures outside. I'm sure it would be even better in the spring. We'll be back for sure.

Really couldn’t fault anything, the staff were friendly, attentive and the food itself was fantastic - it just kept coming! I really couldn’t say my favourite dish, I think maybe the celeriac - it was only at the end of the meal we were told it was an all-vegetarian menu for January, I hadn’t even realised there was no meat it fish in it! I didn’t miss it, the flavours were amazing.

Highly recommend Cin Cin. We went there in January and they had a vegetarian/vegan menu + meat dishes on their specials menu. The staff were helpful and recommended some delicious dishes. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great service. We will definitely be back.

I visited Cin Cin during January when they were serving a plant based menu for veganuary. The food was delicious and the menu was really well thought out. Service was amazing and all staff were lovely. The chef even spent a few minutes chatting to us about the menu and told us a few things we didn’t know about our choices. Highly recommend!

booked for dinner with friends but when we arrived told they were only doing veggie food. Real disappointment as we wanted a mixed menu as before. Cincin told us they were going to put a meat special on but it would be too popular so they didn't . Some other friends there had heard that it was veggie and complained and were given meat and fish!! if only they had dropped an email before we could have made a choice.

An absolute delight from start to finish. We didn't realise they were doing Veganuary for their chef's menu when we booked a few months ago - but we're glad they did. It was superb. Amazing cocktails, wonderful atmosphere and show stopper food. Angie was fabulous; perfectly attentive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Honestly can't heap enough praise on this little gem of a place. We won't leave it so long to return next time! Thank you to all the team.

Booked for meal with friends but when we arrived they told us they were only doing vegetarian food for January. They said they had planned to do a meat special but it was too popular so they weren't offering it! Bumped into another group of friends there who had heard in advance that it was vegetarian only and rang up the restaurant. Cincin offered them a meat and fish dish !!! why didn't cincin just email all people booked in to warn in advance. The food was ok, but not worth the very high prices and it was disappointing to have such a restricted menu.

A birthday trip in January meant we got to enjoy the spectacularly delicious Veganuary inspired menu. I'm not vegan but I could be if this was what I had to eat every day. Superb. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were attentive and helpful. Highly highly recommended.

My partner and I and our 6-month old daughter visited for my partner's birthday on a very rainy January lunchtime. Against a backdrop of gentle conversation and sounds from the kitchen we enjoyed a fabulous, unhurried lunch chosen from the lunchtime menu. It was all delicious and the staff were the perfect combination of relaxed, friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive. My partner described it as a lovely interlude in a very memorable birthday. It couldn't have been better. Thank you Cin Cin!

A great team, serving great food

We had an fantastic meal and experience at Cin Cin, celebrating our engagement. The table was perfect, the staff were amazing and the tasting menu and wine pairing was incredible and well priced. A fantastic meal! My wife and I booked in for a pre theatre dinner, and had 3 courses and a drink each. Up front, I would 100% recommend Cin Cin for any meal or occasion. We loved each dish and the service was outstanding, it felt personal without being too much. We shared their special starter, an Italian version of Hummus with an additional side of Focaccia. There was more than enough for us to share! For our mains, my wife had the trout and mussels rigatoni, whilst I had the Beef Rump and Shin Rotolo - absolutely fantastic, well sized portion that left a little room for pudding .... .... Which were incredible. We had a Chocolate Caramel and their special White Chocolate and Pistachio Mousse, which was my personal favourite dish of the meal. All of this cost £99 with service - an absolute bargain, when I think I have paid similar amounts for 3 courses in much blander chain restaurants. If you have the chance, go and eat here, you will not regret it!

The service was excellent and the chef even came to speak to us and ask about our opinions of the vegan food. The only reason I have given 4 instead of 5 was because the starter and main were a bit too salty. Absolutely great other than that.

We were about 20 minutes away from leaving anyway, but to be asked to leave is the biggest insult possible. Imagine if we had opted for six courses... Whilst I appreciate business needs, it was not our problem and the booking process may do well to improve. Rather than book every table possible and treat customers like a production line, I would be inclined to ensure there were available tables for cross-over eventualities like this, ensuring customer satisfaction. Further, while it is nice to have a member of staff enquire if everything is okay, we were interrupted from conversation with our friends too often. Subtlety is favourable! I do not ever recall being asked to leave a restaurant before, let alone from a perceived premium establishment, and for that reason I am unlikely to return. After being asked to leave we went to a restaurant a couple of doors down, who were happy to invite us in for further drinks without ordering any food. That's service! This is my absolute favourite local restaurant. The food and service is always exceptional. They also do a wonderful Dine At Home package which is perfect if you fancy a night in. Already dreaming of my next visit.

Have wanted to try this Hove institution for a little while now. A Thursday lunchtime seemed as good a time as any. The food is authentic. A splash of Mediterranean flavours. The arancini was extraterrestrial. As good if not better than anything you’d find on the streets of Palermo. The slow cooked beef ragu was subtle in its intensity. I can’t fault the food here. And perhaps I’m being a little harsh by awarding 4 stars but to get 5 stars for Italian food then you need to be hitting Locanda and/or Murano heights. Still very highly recommended. We will be back to try the chef’s menu!!

Wow. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The food was outstanding and delicious. But the exceptional service was just as worth mentioning. The lady that served us was naturally warm, friendly and professional. Something I don't think you can teach. A great evening out! If I had to make one comment I would suggest replacing the stools with gas height adjustable ones as my friend who dined with me was a bit short and found it a little uncomfortable. This was in no way a complaint. Just some constructive feedback.

Great service, excellent food and wonderful wine!

We went as a trans couple for our anniversary, and from start to finish were made to feel unwelcome, and were asked to leave our table long before the end of our booking. Never had this experience, just putting here in case anyone was planning to come

Absolutely loved it. Unbelievable food. We did the chef’s menu for £43 and it was definitely worth it. 6 courses of deliciousness, left feeling incredibly full. The staff were all absolutely lovely, really chatty and helpful when we needed it. Also spoke with the head chef (I think) Jamie who was really kind to take the time to talk us through his menu and the restaurant set up. 10/10 would recommend anyone coming here. The chicken Milanese was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time.

Wonderful food and lovely staff. Tended to us the whole time. We went for the chef’s tasting menu which changes seasonally and it did not disappoint at all; everything was delicious and they even went to the extra effort to wish my friend a Happy Birthday accompanied by a little desert. Will definitely be going to dine again.

I have dined here a number of times, I have ordered the at home service a few times and it is just so perfect. This place not only provides the best most authentic no fuss Italian food in Brighton but is home to some of the best people. The staff culture here is spot on! Chef Jamie is a thoroughly decent human being and clearly sets the tone for the cooking and culture. My pregnant wife was sat at the pass and he could see she was a bit uncomfortable. He asked one of the staff members to setup a table for us yet it was all carried out in a subtle and classy way. I can't wait to take my son here to eat when he is on solids!

Incredible food and really great service. My only qualm was that the decor and seating lacked a bit in ambiance. But I suppose a lot of that is personal preference.

The staff is amazing 5++ stars for service!!! Food is very nice, however my pasta was very undercook, but everything else was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and she been very helpful, highly recommend this place!!!! It’s very hard to find place with as positive staff as here, they are amazing!

Simply brilliant. We went there last night for my birthday and it was phenomenal. A fantastic dining experience with excellent food, great ambience and probably some of the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. We had the tasting menu which was fantastic. Every course was unique, well thought through and full of exciting flavour combinations. Our favourite was the pasta course and the lamb both of which were exquisite. We were sat at the counter which made for some great ambience being able to watch the chefs work. Further more the chefs took the time to come over and chat us which elevated the experience beyond the fantastic food and gave it a deeply personal "dinner with friends" feel. A truly memorable evening and we will be back many times for sure.

We had a great time at the restaurant as a couple. We had a 5 course set menu, my partner loved his food, however, the vegan menu is not so good. The main dish which is pasta, doesn’t work at all. The tomato sauce was sour, and green beans and peas just don't work. Very disappointing dish considering it is supposed to be main star of the show. Some dishes like salads were either under or over seasoned. The desserts were lovely. It is very expensive for what you get in our opinion, however, we had a great time, the staff were all lovely!
