Amazing!! The service was amazing and the people there were so nice, and the employees so sweet! The food was delicious but limited. The atmosphere is cozy and just like an Italian restaurant!

Lovely local Italian. We've been several times, and the staff are always friendly. Personally, I'm a big fan of their dough balls and pizzas. Looking forward to next time

Well, I was there few night ago with my other half, enjoyed our meal and we were one of their last customers before they closed up. However, towards the end of our meal my other half went for the restroom as soon as he left my sight I got flirted by two of their waiters! I was a tipsy couldn’t think straight, one of them called out to me by saying “hey gorgeous” I looked back and notice two waiters trying to have a flirtatious conversation with me !!!! I have mentioned to be tipsy at that point and responded to them with simple replies but I found that to be very disrespectful as they clearly saw I wasn’t alone. The atmosphere and the food were very nice but very disappointing behaviour from their staff members!!!! I won’t dine from there again !

Beautiful restaurant considering where it is placed. Once you’re inside you’re transported to somewhere else. The service was by far the best I’ve experienced anywhere local to Romford. There’s a real friendly family oriented atmosphere. We walked in and were seated as they had a hour and 30 mins slot. But was recommend to book next time if we want to eat on a Saturday evening. Reasonably priced food you can make it as expensive or as cheap as you’d like to. We shared fried Camembert, I had the veal ravioli and my partner had carbonara with added chicken. I had a large wine and my partner a soft drink and it was around £60. There’s a 12.5% service charge but honestly we didn’t bat an eyelid to it. They deserved every penny. Real hidden gem in an unexpected busy high street. Try it out yourself I will be going back the menu is very extensive.

Has nothing to do with italian cuisine. Carbonara is swimming in watery cream and bland. Pollo alla Milanese has never seen salt or proper cooking temperature as it was still raw in the middle. Just bland and disappointing.

Always friendly and good value... Plus they have Moretti rather than just the ubiquitous Perroni! Updated: still a reliable choice for a nice family or couples meal

Came here with my mate for a nice meal and catch up. The food was really good and so we're the cocktails. Really cozy setting. Also that toilets very clean. Staff really nice and friendly

Great restaurant, the staff are great, especially Luciano. Nearly all pasta dishes can be swapped to gluten free alternatives, but you have to ask for this, it's not clear from the menu, they could easily amend this!

Had mussels as a main, sauce was too thick and cold, mussels were also cold and tastless. Will not be going back. Service charge was too high and not worth 12%.

We are French, but we enjoy a lot Italian food! When coming in Romford, we tried this restaurant and it was excellent! Service was also great with very kind employees. Food was on the top and particularly the home-made tiramisu I 100% recommand!

Visited here with family. Great independent Italian. Brie to start was ok. Could certainly have done with more sticky jam. Mains were very good. Pizzas were authentic with thin crust and fresh ingredients as toppings. The pasta dish with seafood was delicious. Beautiful tomato base sauce which coated the linguini perfectly.

Great tasting food, our waiter was very attentive. A lot of pasta choices for gluten free, which was very much appreciated 😀

Let's start off with the negative, which is only one, the wait for the food was stunningly long. Have seen other reviews so was expecting a wait. But, wow. What about the food. We had a good mix of food, veal in mushroom sauce, sea bass in seafood and tomato sauce. A couple of sides. All were absolutely top notch. Hot, well cooked, no need for extra seasoning. Service was spot on. Friendly but not all over you. A quick look up and one of the waiting staff were straight over. Would we go back. With the government discount definitely. Without the discount...... definitely. Was a thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended

It started so well, with the best Aperol Spritz we've enjoyed in a while. The food was not so good. The fried brie was dry, hard and barely warm, with just a drizzle of cranberry sauce. Our main of Risotto Paesana (parmesan, mushroom and chicken) was again only just hot, it was 'gloopy' and had NO CHICKEN. We onbviously complained, and after investiugation in the kitchen, we were told the Chef forgot to include it! For our trouble £3.50 was deducted from both meals as 'a token of good will' We didn't feel it was handled particularly well, and in fact, should never have happened in the first place. Not sure we will be rushing back!

Best risotto I have had for years

Amazing! The pizzas were absolutely gorgeous - like being in Italy. The service was impeccable and all the staff were brilliant! We will be back!

The greatest Italian meal I've ever had! This place is perfect for trying new dishes as you can guarantee they'll be high quality and cooked exactly as they should be. Couple the amazing food with polite and attentive staff and a charming atmosphere, and you have a truly magnificent dining experience. I was only in town for a business trip but I would consider returning to Romford solely to dine at Ciao Bella!

Whole experience was excellent. Visited mid week and from moment we walked in staff were very welcoming, attentive and friendly throughout. The food was superb and very good portion size. Bottle of wine was reasonably priced. This place is definitely worth a visit and great value for money. Would most certainly visit again.

A repeat customer I have now been attending Ciao Bella for over 14 years! The food gets better and better each time and the you really get a feel for the ambiance in this family run restaurant. The staff are engaging without being intrusive and I can guarantee you will always walk out satisfied and full! Great food. Great service, very attentive. My only gripe is that the elderly gentleman at the door needed to smile more. He made my mother feel uncomfortable.

I know this restaurant very well because we used to eat there before. The beef meat is not the same quality, the peppercorn sauce is not the same at all. Is totally changed. They served chips instead of vegetables,and they did not even ask if we want chips or vegetables. Pizza not the same as before as well.Rubbish food quality. I will not go back again.

Love this place. Had a lovely family dinner. Sourdough pizza is fantastic and they are very generous with the Parma ham on the parmigiano pizza! Yum! The spag bol is delicious too!

Took kids early evening after school as wkd and not got home until 6! Last minute to go and go out for dinner!! Kids were happy to go out as family and not have to eat my home cooked food! Good portions and all happy with food but service was a little slow which expected being a Friday night

First time visit last night with a couple of work colleagues. I really liked it; open, cool space with accents of italian home-run restaurant. Low chatter noise, non-annoying background music & the most gorgeous smell of decent bread! Great tasting food and with decent service from staff who appear to want to be there. Prices appeared reasonable, but my boss picked up the tab. Qudos to the staff member cleaning the stair edges; they keep it clean! I'll be going again.

The positives: Good service. Good food. Generous portions. Nice and cosy surroundings. The negatives: £24.95 for a bottle of "Vin ordinaire" Chardonnay. £12 service charge added to a £90 bill, for 2 people. Would we return? Well yes, but only as a a special treat.

Came here for a meal with my parents. Had heard very good reviews from friends so had high expectations and did not dissapoint! Had bruschetta was amazing best one I've had! Portions are large and friendly wait staff.

A decent independent Italian restaurant serving a good variety of starters, salads, pizzas, pasta dishes, and other "secondi". Popular with families, office parties, and couples. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is tasty, and the staff are very polite. Recommended.

Found this restaurant by accident while walking in Romford, very happy with everything, much better than chain restaurants. The menu has a decent amount of choice and all at good prices. The food is all cooked fresh to order and is generous in size (one starter is easy big enough for 2 people). Good friendly service in a comfortable building. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant and I will return if in the area again.
