Ordered salt and pepper chicken from here tonight and it's absolutely delicious food came hot and very tasty. Order from here all the time . If you haven't already tried the food I recommend you do .

Chop suey I think has noodles and bean sprouts, this had no noodles ..and lots and of sauce ... Not really a chop suey at all but they all seem to be the same now days ..whatever you order is swimming in sauce and no substance ..chop suey roll was good

ordered 20mins earlier went to pick up and it grabbed the dodgy ribs from a fridge and slung em into the fryer they looked awful I walked out never to return again £20 for a pie and a coke

Lovely food, can see why it's so busy when I go past

I've been here a couple of times for chips to take down to the beach, and both times, the chips have been disappointing. They have been like warm-up chips and not fresh at all. Waited for a while earlier for a cheese savoury, which they had to make it was nice but not worth the wait. It's such a shame because it's the closest chippy to the beach.

This was one bad meal spent £35 an still hungry not that I ate it all I couldn't bring meself to eat cold chips an rice that looked like brown slop never mind the burnt prawn toast an ribs . Never again !!! Makes me want to just cook me own food on a Friday aswel now .

I absolutely love them. Get the big ole chop suey roll!!! Get half chips-half rice with whatever else you want. I love talking to all of them when they have the time. Busy business don't ya know! Love them to bits!!!!!! I'm so happy that my partner didn't just introduce me to their fabulous food, but also to their friendship. <3<3<3<3 Ps Chop suey roll. Please stop and visit this Chinese restaurant, the people are nice and welcome, food is fabulous!

We occasionally treat ourselves to a take away but not always at the Chung Fad because its not the closest chinese chippy to our house. It was a Monday and the Chung Fad was the only one open that wasn't too far to travel. We are so glad we chose to go. The food was magnificent!! Top class. The best Chinese take away we have had in a very long time. From the chips, the noodles and rice to the main dishes. The friendly service always comes as standard. From now on, we will always go to the Chung Fad.

Old skool chinese , all freshly cooked by the family that have had this goldmine for years!. Get a homemade chopsuey roll!! Lots to choose from an for the area its average in price.

Had a decent fish and chip meal from here - crunchy batter, nice chips and good mushy peas. £5.90 per portion is not bad either!

Always good food whatever you order but you must try their chop suey roll.

We ordered Special Fried Rice it certainly wasn't Special and to be honest it wasn't fried just tasteless mush. Then our second choice was Crispy Chilli Beef which was a ball of not fried rice with fried beef with hardly any vegetables or sauce . £16:80 with a portion of chips It use to be a great takeaway years ago now I wouldn't recommend it for food

Consistently good quality food.

I am never eating from here ever again. First, they gave us the wrong food and second the food looked like it had just been picked up of a farm floor and the completely ignored me when I was gonna get a drink.

Just been for a chip barm with gravy and was charged £3.30. Thought it was a bit pricey for so little food. Couple of chips on a barm with a little splash of gravy. Thought I'd check the menu out and it says £1.50 for a chip barm so I have been charged £1.80 for a splash of gravy. Will never ever eat there again. Daylight robbery and poor service

A wonderful Chinese takeaway. The food was excellent. My sweet and sour, was presented separately, which was ideal to serve at home, as required. The salt and pepper chips were seriously good, very spicy. A great place..Highly recommended

Had food from quite a few times first few times we’re lovely couldn’t fault that last few have been awfull the spring rolls r all soggy the chips r warm up and the young chow fried rice was like slime like it was off never will I be ordering from here anymore such a shame cos it used be nice

I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice which was awful. The rice was just a brown ball of boiled rice and not edible. The crispy chicken was soggy and the sauce was neither sweet nor sour. My wife had a chop suey roll which was so greasy it ran out onto the plate. Never again.

My duck was fairly nice if a bit fatty (always an issue with duck), the sauce fairly generic but the rice is a large congealed mass. Will try again but wasn't that impressed. Will not get rice again though.

Just ordered lemon chicken and fried rice. The chicken was good but the lemon sauce was clearly full of artificial flavours and sweetners that I had an allergic reaction to after eating my lip swelled up. I was surprised that it was a guey kind of packet mix that looked like my partners sauce, only his was with duck and in a flavoured pinapple sauce, mine was like a lemon sherbert kind of sauce. The rice was awful. Wrapped in a plastic bag. I wouldn't know if it was food safe or not.

Me and my girlfriend admitted that this is by far the best chinese we have ever had. The quality and taste of the food is exquisite! Thank you so much, we will definitely be coming here every time. It was better than restaurant standard. The egg fried rice was so fresh and tasty, along with the bbq ribs and the crispy salt and pepper tofu! - We even ate the rest the next day for lunch :-)

Nice food small portions but that reflects in there price, one of the best tasting foods about in Crosby

Unfortunately this chinese never bothers to answer the phone. Used to serve really nice food but since lockdown you need a miracle to get through as their phone system for ordering is inept. Let down by poor service.

For Chinese meals, Chung Fad is the best chippy for miles. Delicious food, great value and polite and efficient staff. Gentleman owner always greets with a warm welcome and calls people by name. Highly recommended.

One of the worst Chinese meals that I’ve had the misfortune to eat. You’d be better saving your money and getting a microwave meal from the supermarket, it would be a lot cheaper and certainly couldn’t taste any worse.

Easily the best Chinese in the L22 area

Food here used to be fantastic. Now its very greasy and more batter on fish then fish. Fish cakes dont have any fish in just potatoe. We ordered chicken mushroom, sweet and sour chicken and chicken cashew.Meals that we had were quite mushy with far too many onions in and ran with far too much juice, Sweet and sour tasted of a citrus juice, sadly will not be going back.

Had been visiting Antony Gormley’s Another Place and fancied fish and chips. We had a walk up South Road and came across Chung Fad. We had the ‘fish dinner’ special, which was a bargain (less than £6 for fish, chips and peas). The fish was freshly cooked and delicious, the chips were also excellent. The gentleman serving us was very friendly and welcoming, chatting to us while we waited for the food to be cooked. Have given it 4/5 because the mushy peas weren’t proper mushy peas (more like marrow fat peas) but that really is the only little niggle we had. Portions an excellent size too (we all ended up leaving some chips!) Recommend if you’re in the area and have a craving for fish and chips.

This is a fantastic place to get meals from. All the meals are so tasty and the curry is out of this world. My son.s favourite is Crispy Chilli Beef and my husband's is Curried Shrimp with Fried Rice. My personal favourite is just curry and rice. Well recommended.

Easily the best chippy around Crosby and Waterloo, the chicken in yellow bean sauce is amazing and the staff are lovely.

This is now the third time i've ordered a family sized chinese meal in recent months and it's been awful. On the last few occasions our starters have been desperately overcooked and even the chips have been terrible = as if done in old fat -soggy and overcooked. I'm so disappointed as this chippy always seemed to be consistently good at one time but I definately wont be using this place again.

We had salt and pepper chicken, burger, pies, spring rolls and chips as an emergency lunch. all very nice, but the best was the mugs of green tea, made with loose leaves-quite unexpected and delicious . Staff were lovely too.

they do great and fresh chips, its the best in waterloo for sure. but I wouldnt necessarily order anything else apart from fishnchips there, never have
