Chopstick House in Sutton

Can be really good but tonight was horrible. Sweet n sour sauce was watery, only seemed like 2/3 of the chicken normally served chips were over cooked. On top of that was told 35-40 minutes then had to wait another 30 minutes outside the shop and always asks for cash.

Normally I'm not the guy to go for Chinese food but the place was recommended and now I can see why... Great service. Great servings , noodles are amazing ... I will definitely visit the place to try the most popular dishes ...

We’ve been going to Chopstick House for years and initially it was the best Chinese around, however the food quality began to significantly decline. It also recently came to my attention that it has a one star food hygiene rating which would explain various bouts of illness I’ve had after eating food from there.

A good local Chinese with authentic chow mein. Generous portions but bit too salty.

I went in there and ordered A Tofu vegetable main dish and there was no Tofu in it. I rang the shop and he said I should of checked before I left the shop. This meant I would of had to open the container and look through the vegetables and sauce with my fingers lol. Also it was greasy, salty and sugary. He also charged me for Tofu. Don't forget to open all your containers to check everything you ordered Ha Ha.

One of the best places around... Always feel valued and willing to travel to collect the order...not always accurate with proposed collecting timings but still worth it.... Been ordering from here for around 10 years... Thanks guys..

First time here as just moved to the area and don't ever really review. Ordered the mixed starter, sweet and sour pork, duck pancakes, rice and noodles. All were really tasty and generous portions (loads for leftovers). I understand why they don't do delivery now via ubereats or deliveroo, they clearly get enough business just from everyone being willing to drive down to collect their supper!! Will be back.

The best chinese takeaway ive ever had anywhere. Im local to it and have been using them since i can remember, any other chinese is always "nice but not chopstick house nice". Ive put alot of people onto them and they all convert, travelling from miles away to get a takeaway from chopstick house. On busy nights the wait can be a little long say around 30-40 mins but this is what happens with popular eateries, i just allow extra time and phone up earlier which isnt a problem.

Food is large portions,than alot of places but very bland greasy not healthy.The owner is extremely abrupt rude tbh.It seems to irritate him if you read the menu or are unsure of what you want,he gets very stressed.I do not want to use this takeaway any longer,if I am spending my money I want to be treated with respect.I do not know how his accountant works out his tax bill,as everything is written on dockets with teeny tiny writing.After all we are in 2021 where is the computerised till that prints everything off.It must be really confusing for the accountant.He does love the cash though,money money money.

The food today (both vegetarian and non-vegetetian) was excellent, the portions were enormous, the cooking time was very quick, 11 out of 10, totally recommend!

I called, 20.40 asked very clearly for beef chow mein, egg fried rice, curry sauce. Pretty simple order even for the most naive of restaurants. Got told 30 mins. I arrive, bang on time. I stand there watching the old man, (his son and wife out back), sit there, no acknowledgement of me even stood there. He continues to tap tap, tap on some device. 5 mins later, tap, tap, tap... Oh hello. Yes £16.20! I pay and then watch as he promptly asks the chef's to actually cook my food. WTF! 45 mins later after calling he hands me "beef chow mein, plain egg rice (seems frying it in soy sauce went out the window, even though I was pretty clear "EGG FRIED RICE") and a pot of luke warm curry sauce. Seriously, go to Melbourne Chinese on Mulgrave Road. Food is spot on 150% of the time, piping hot, faster than they quote and with a smile. This plank really needs to go retire and go do something he enjoys. Though he's fast enough to take your money. @owner : if it's beyond you, give it up, go do something you enjoy and stop serving up rubbish. Ps I binned the non fried "egg rice"!

Best Chinese I have ever had absolutely fantastic would recommend the chicken curry with the king prawn chow mein. Salt and pepper chicken is also great and the dry ribs

I have been visiting Chopstick House since 1997 when I was introduced to it by a colleague. This has been my go to Chinese ever since, some years after first visiting we moved to the local area and regularly used Chopstick House, we tried others but they could not even come close. We have since moved away again and have tried all of our local takeaways but found ourselves having to return, I now travel to collect my food rather than use a local. Superb food, Superb service and a very clean visible kitchen. Make sure you give it a try even if you have to travel.. Make sure you try the Lemon Chicken..

I started using Chopstick house over 25 years ago, and have since moved out of the area. However I always return to use it as my only Chinese food takeaway. Excellent tasty food ,generous portions , very reasonable prices , quick service and very reliable. Highly recommended.

Have used this takeaway for years and even though I have moved away I make the trip back to Carshalton Beeches when I want Chinese food. The portions are huge and really good value for money. All the meals I've had over the years have been delicious. Highly recommend.

i order peking special for 2 the food was terrible the specialfried rice was tasteless and all the other dishes was disgusting except the toasted prawn with sesame seed it was the worst £28 pound i have spent i don't know how they can call this peking special

Tried this take away. We were so grossed out the food was sooo greasy. The man serving was grumpy and quite rude when we were ordering. The food comes out quickly but it isn't the tastiest. They put way too much salt and grease in it. If you can go else where i would suggest you do. We definately will not be going back again!!! Better food and service else where

Never disappointed here, I was introduced by my partner nearly two years ago, and it is honestly the best chinese we have ever had. We have since moved away from the area but still order from Chopstick house and wiling to drive to collect it as no other chinese is anywhere near as yummy. The staff are lovely and quick and the food is always on point - Would highly recommend!

I've been getting my Chinese from here for many years. In my opinion it's the best & whenever Ive had to have a Chinese from anywhere else it never lives up to Chopstick house!

My favourite local chinese of which there are quite alot around the area, all your usual chinese restraunt favourites take away only. The portions are generous the prices are not the cheapest but the quality of the food makes up for it in my humble opinion i would recommend.

Thankyou , you saved our day. Nephews 21st birthday meal and was let down by the venue. popped along on a Sunday evening ordering dinner for 9. within 20 minutes box full of goodies ready to go. all food really hot, really tasty and good value for money.

Great food, reasonably priced, staff don't stop and get the food ready as fast as possible. Crispy chilli beef and egg fried rice are up there with the best I've had and the food stays piping hot and tastes fresh well after you've gotten it home.

I've lived across the road from here for 6 years and embarrassed to say I order elsewhere until recently, thought I'd give it a go, now it's the only place I will order from and they do the BEST chilli beef I've ever had !!

Been here so many times. The food is consistently good and tasty. The portions are huge-enough for lunch the next day. Try the garlic and salt chilli prawns, delicious. What I truly appreciate is the delightful and utterly courteous owner who serves his guests.

Ill give it 4 stars as everything was edible, we ordered the beef in black been sauce with green peppers and sweet and sour chicken hog kong style with egg fried rice. Everything was of decent quality compared to other chineese takeaways in the area. I would definitely order from Chop Stick House again..

I'm not much for Chinese food myself but my partner loves them, when I have had it in the past I've really enjoyed it the quality and portions of the food are extremely good! My only point is it's a shame they don't deliver but they probably make up for that by giving you very large portions of the food which is definitely not a bad thing.

At first I thought it was a bit expensive but the portions are massive so I only needed half of it , good food too

We used to use the Moon House to order hot and sour soup and spring rolls as they were delicious. Since they closed a few years ago we have tried many different local Chinese take aways but nowhere was the quality as good. We've finally discovered Chopstick House and the quality virtually the same as the Moon House was. If anything recently there has been a great improvement as the spring rolls used to be saturated with oil but far less oily now. We do sometimes order other dishes and all of an equally high standard.

My family and boyfriend have been coming here for years as the best Chinese in the area. We have never had a bad meal and the staff are always friendly and polite, also you never have to wait too long for you food. There are many things on the menu that we have tried over the years from the hot and sour soup to chicken Chinese style and the Chinese curries all of which have been full of flavour and piping hot even on the journey home. We live about 10-15 minutes away (not far I know) but I’d travel that short distance everything to have the good food. Delivery would be good but I understands the reasons why this isn’t always possible.

Chopstick House is a very average, run-of-the-mill, Chinese takeaway.We’ve had much better Chinese takeaways and we’ve had far worse.The food was a little greasy for our taste.That said, our order was prepared promptly and the prices are reasonable. If you’re prepared to pay a little more, there are better options nearby.

If you are looking for a Chinese takeaway locally then Chopstick House is consistent and reliable. The food is always freshly prepared and during busy times there can be a wait but it is worth it.

Used to be good. But they start being cheap on main ingredients. I order duck...and 90% is beansprouts. I order beef and 90% is mushrooms and carrots half cooked. Better off buying from wing yip and paying more.

My wife and I have been customers of the Chopstick House in Carshalton Beeches for more years than we can remember. In all the time that we have used this takeaway, we have never had a poor meal. In fact, the quality of the food is consistently excellent, served piping hot and in large portions. Telephone orders are usually ready to collect in 10-20 minutes depending on how busy they are. We last ordered in August 2016 and the food was as good as ever. Strongly recommended.
