The ladies how ran the cafe were wonderfully friendly, accommodating and the food was absolutely fantastic. The sausages and bacon were the absolute best quality we will be recommending to all our family and friends, already looking forward to our next visit.

I've eaten a lot of breakfasts in Cleethorpes and this is bar far the best I've ever had. Sausages were beautiful, thick bacon and the service was fantastic. Not even expensive either. Well worth a try

Lovely little cafe. We had a ham, cheese and tomato chutney panini with salad and a breakfast and everything was very tasty and presented well. Really good value for money! Well done :)

Absolute gem of a cafe with delicious fresh cooked food, kids hot chocolate was the best ever according to our daughter. Service was super friendly and kind. Would return if in the area.

On Saturday 11th March 2023 I went to Choc o Latte cafe.i had a small breakfast. It was sausage, bacon,beans ,tomatoes, scrambled eggs, toast and pot tea.It was lovely. On Friday 17th March 2023 went with my Daughter. I had beans and cheese in a jacket potato, salad and tea.was amazing. On Friday 24th March 2023 went with my Daughter. I had ham,egg,chips and beans and pot of tea.Daughter had the same but with scrambled eggs and milk. Another great meal. On Monday 27th March 2023 I went with my Son.i had chicken goujons, chips,peas,salad and pot of tea. Son had tuna melt panini, chips,salad and Latte.it was lovely. On Wednesday 29th March went with my cousin. I had small breakfast and pot of tea.Cousin had chicken goujons, salad,chips,peas and pot of tea.Another good meal. On Monday 3rd April 2023.i went to Choc o Latte cafe and had ham and egg mayonnaise in a baguette, salad and pot of tea.it was very nice. On Thursday 6th April 2023 I went with my cousin. I had a tuna salad, pot of tea.It was presented really lovely and very tasty. My cousin had ham and tomato baguette, salad and pot of tea. On Saturday 8th April 2023.i went to Choc o Latte cafe and had a bacon bun and then had lemon cake and custard. Pot of tea.The cake was so nice.You must try it and all the meals that are on the menu.Thanks to all the staff.

On Thursday 9th February 2023 me and my daughter went to Choc o Latte cafe.we had 3 sausages, egg,chips,beans and a drink.Food was lovely. There is plenty to choose from on the menu.we said we would like to try lots of things .Told the staff we would be back the next day.Staff where lovely and friendly. On Friday 10th February 2023 we went again.we had fruit scone with jam and cream in it and a drink.The scones was lovely and soft.well worth it .Thanks to the staff. On Friday 17th February 2023 me and my daughter had Ham and tomato panini, chips,salad and a drink.The chips are so nice.Another good meal. On Monday 20th February 2023 went with my uncle to the Choc o Latte cafe.We had scampi,chips,salad and a drink.The food was cooked lovely. Its a very clean cafe with lovely staff.We will be back again sometime to try something else.Thanks.

The All day Breakfast is well worth the money and the pot of Tea is served hot and i think i got 3 cups and i could have asked for me had i Chosen too, The Portion to the Breakfast was just enough to set the day off right, well done Ladies and your My Hinge and Bracket with super smiles along the way This Cafe is Top quality and so Clean

Ideal for a sandwich or cake with coffee or tea, when a short break is needed. Excellent and prompt service, friendly atmosphere, clean and tidy.

This is a small cafe with a couple of tables outside on the pavement front and probably about 8 tables inside(these were being cleaned in-between customers visits).There's good choice of drinks along with hot & cold food options on the menu which have very reasonable prices indeed.The staff on duty were very friendly & pleasant during my 1st time visit. Its a bit of a trek to use the toilet facilities as you have to go through the fire exit door at the rear & use a traffic cone to hold the door open so you can return back inside the cafe once you have used the toilet building located outside .

Love this little place on the main stretch of St Pete Av. The service was good, loved the sausage sandwich. Very homely feel. Place to sit outside as well Will be back for a cuppa.

Lovely staff good food fair price

Lovely tea room cafe on the high street. Lots of food options, and we settled on sharing a cheese and tomato toastie and a iced frappe. Served promptly, lovely service and would be happy to visit again.

Nice food from nice people. Clean throughout & good variety of food on offer. We took one of the few outside seats & watched shoppers & traffic pass by. Looked after very courteously. Thank you will call again.

First thing you notice is how clean it is and how friendly and helpful the staff are. We had lunch which was freshly prepared and very tasty. I could not fault it in any way. Would recommend this cafe we will certainly go back every time we visit Cleethorpes.

Choco-latte is a very friendly cafe high quality feels like a restaurant range of cakes, scones, toastie's, jacket potatoes with inside seating and out side seats

Carnt recommend choco-latte enough the meal I had was very good and very good service they could not do enough .so go ahead and give them a go you wont regret it. 👍

Friendly cafe, good served food, social distance good hand sanitizers at door

Just about ok, however what really let's it down is that there is no toilet facilities at all. Which is surprising as it is a legal requirement to have at least one customer toilet.

Excellent food and service as normal

My friend & I called just before mid day on their first day of opening since the Coronavirus lockdown. Understand its daunting to re open a business under a new set of rules, but we found the staff/owners well versed & applied the restrictions in a courteous, friendly & professional manner. My friend Carole requested that her fried egg be well cooked but not overly firm & that's exactly how it arrived. My order was for sausage roll, chips & beans. Quite the tastiest sausage roll I've had in a cafe, the chips being pleasantly light & crispy. Would highly recommend & will be back on my next visit to Cleethorpes.

I have been to this place before and had great service and food score 5 previously. Unfortunately, this visit was just ok. The breakfast sausage was overcooked on the outside and just cooked on the inside. Bacon and scrambled eggs were lovely. The beans and tomatoes were in a ramekins good portion but did not look good. Cakes were lovely. The service was rushed then unavailable, this is reason for the low score today. I will return.

Spotlessly clean, friendly little cafe by the car park in St Peters Avenue. Small premises wkth some outside seating to front. Not a huge menu but good for breakfast and snacks/ light meal throughout the day. Effcient and friendly staff. Good to be able to support a local business as opposed to a National Chain.

Visited this cafe with my family whilst on a day trip to Cleethorpes. The food was in small portions not that we’re big eaters but I mean there was no value for money at all! There was a bug on my wife’s salad and my sons jacket potato was not just cold(clearly a frozen spud) but it was black inside. We raised the issues with the rude waitress but she wasn’t that bothered. I took my daughter to the toilet which was outside and it had black mould on the walls! I didn’t realise there were outside loos in the UK anymore. To say the least we won’t be going back again

Only called in for a coffee to rest my foot (I'd dropped a pallet on it at work, so it was painfully bruised), the coffee was lovely, served with a biscotti, and the staff friendly.

The staff were friendly, the coffee was great but, with many of the other customers talking from table to table I had a sense of entering a club where I wasn't a member. And then I visited the toilet; outside in the rain and a bit primitive!!!

Myself and my sister went into here Monday for a late breakfast couldn't fault it in any way meal was hot not greasy at all drunk was hot also staff very helpful couldn't do enough for us we go in every week for coffee but sometimes we have a breakfast it's a very clean friendly little cafe would recommend it to anyone for a visit

This is what I think of this cafe?? Visited forllunch with my mother last week. Food choice limited. Coffee extortionate. Food when we eventually did receive it was luke warm. Presentation very poor. Staff could not care less and overall tables littered with used crockery / cutlery when staff stood about talking.First and last time here would not visit again.

Poor service and cheap cold food. The elderly cook with short dark was very rude when I complained about my food. Wouldn’t recommend.

My wife and I visited this greasy spoon on a visit the resort. The place looked ok from the outside until you go to the toilet which is out the back, dirty and damp which made us wonder how clean the kitchen is! The food was only just warm and when we raised our concerns the elderly cook was clearly not happy with us. We were offered an alternative but we didn’t feel the food would be any better. An elderly large man with a tooth missing appeared and he seemed friendly and helpful despite this we wouldn’t go back

Visited Cleethorpes and stopped of at this lovely little cafe. Breakfast was lovely and well presented. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Price was good and included hot drinks and toast. Very clean and good atmosphere. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Great little café in the heart of Cleethorpes. Always found the staff and owners friendly and welcoming. Normally have toast, a bacon bun or egg mayo sandwiches - spot on! Faces fierce competition in the Avenue in recent years - Would recommend to everyone.

Over priced, under staffed, stale cake, cold coffee, ignorant woman behind the counter, seating area the size of a rabbit hutch, toilet outside in a small cupboard facing onto a side street with blue roll for wiping yourself with........hell will freeze over before I return to this place.

Ordered one normal coffee. Waitress accidentally said one latte, so I corrected her. Not an issue, she was learning. I asked for one cream scone, one tea and one tea cake. Two teas arrived first. My husband and I are sat at a two seated table. I explained I only needed one tea! One coffee. The tea comes with the cream tea she says. I said I didn't order cream tea, I ordered a cream scone as it suggests from the menu and a tea. She never mentioned that there was a cream tea deal from the menu I was currently perusing. I informed her that there was only two of us sitting here so clearly a mistake had been made. She was rude and Kurt and said she'll sort it out then. I'm still sat here after finishing my food in a quiet cafe with no forthcoming refund! Manager please? Spike with the manager. Very apologetic and sorted the refund and some loyalty cards. I would have liked the girl to apologise also.

Fabulous service, yummy cakes and drinks

Sunday morning fancied a bite to eat with my wife popped in here as it looked quite nice . Was over priced and not really edible had more butter than bacon in my bun will definetly be the last time we go there

Visited mid afternoon with my daughter. The food was edible 'just'. The salad that my daughter had was more brown than green and didn't really look appetising. My coffee wasn't very nice but my daughter said her cuppa t was nice. The atmosphere wasn't nice as we felt like we were being rushed because they wanted to close even though it was only 3.30ish. One girl was mopping the floor, kicked the bucket and the dirty water went all over the floor including my trousers! Wish I could say something more positive but I can't as we won't be going back again. Not recommended for wheel chair users as the outside toilet wouldn't be accessible and there's not much room inside for wheelchairs or push chairs.

Have recently been for lunch and read recent reviews before preparing rhis review. I am shocked that anyone could refer to place as a greasy spoon- it is an attractive small privately owned cafe! ! The owners/staff are delightful (very friendly) irrespective of their weight or hot day perspiration. Surely such personal remarks are totally inappropriate? Certainly rude! Anyway, this will be my 4th review for this cafe over a 2-3 year period- when visiting family in Cleethorpes. Great for coffee aand cake or afternoon tea and cake. Brunch and light lunches good too. Quality ingredients and homely food/meals. Best option for drink and snacks in locality.

This place is absolutely awful. There's no room to sit and eat comfortably and the food is poor quality. I would not advise anyone to drink the coffee....it's the worst tasting stuff! The salad was more brown than green. I had a breakfast, the bacon was way to hot but the sausages were cold. None of it looked or tasted very good. Dreadful place, would definitely not recommend, and the big man that served us made my wife very uncomfortable because he kept touching her shoulders, he had sweat running down his forehead and face which made me feel sick, we will not be returning and will be advising family and friends not to go there.

Having planned a trip to Cleethorpes for a while now, we thought we would visit the same cafe we came to about 5 years ago which was then excellent in every way! This time the experience was unbelievable! I know this is a greasy spoon but dear me we did expect some sort of standard. We had to wait for quite a while for a seat which was shoved under my wife and nearly made her fall over. There was no space in the place, not accessible for any disabled person or families with pushchairs. We were really hungry, the food was just 'ok', the coffee was was the worst I have ever tasted. The cakes didn't look very appetising it looked like they had been there for days. Not worth the money we paid for the food. Just before we left my wife went to the old fashioned toilet which is out the back, it looked like it has never been cleaned and the walls are full of black unhealthy damp! When she came out the toilet she saw a big brown 'rat' run from the back of the cafe to the bins! We were so shocked we just wanted to get out the place as soon as we could! Will never go back! A shame really because it used to be brilliant about 5 years ago. Whoever the owners are they need to get out the cafe business!

Very nice staff, food was good, coffee not so and smoothie more ice than flavour. Slightly disorganised and bit of a wait. Reasonably priced.

I would not recommend this place at all. The food is bad quality and the cook wasn't friendly. A large elderly man served us but because it was busy he just packed me and my family into what felt like a sardine tin. Will never go back again. Food is too dear for a dirty creasy spoon

Located next to the car park in st oeters avenue, rhis is a wonderful little cafe. Only seats about 25 people and has a small terrace to front. Great menu for snack and meals . Additionally there is a specials board with many more dining options. Owners are delightful- efficient and very friendly. Food is deliscious and all is reasonably priced. A great cafe for drinks and meals throughout the day.

I've been here a couple of times now and I haven't got anything negative to say, the service is spot on and friendly, it's very clean and the breakfast is one of the best in cleethorpes at the moment and I've eaten everywhere here as its where i live and work , they have a good menu it suit most so thanks again see you soon ;-)

Stopped at this small café for a hot drink recently and found it both clean and well maintained. A good choice of coffees and other hot drinks were available and the one purchased was of good quality. There were good food options available also which appeared popular with other customers.
