We visited this restaurant at about half one, there were a few other people eating but not many so we were seated straight away. We ordered drinks and decided what we wanted, there was so much choice and different options of food. The food came quiet quickly and as it came out it was steaming hot still sizzling, the food was presented beautifully. The staff there were very friendly and helpful when another member of my party didn't know what was in some of the meals. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and would visit again.

I visited with my adult son for a late lunch last Tuesday afternoon. I wish I knew the names of our 2 servers - one male, one female - because they deserve credit where it’s due. The service was second to none. They were both friendly, interested in us as customers, efficient and charming. The food was fantastic, ambience good, views interesting.....what more can I say? Loved every minute of it!

Booked online for that day. Ordered the 6 plates of street food, with sides and cocktails. Food was excellent as always! Service was prompt and polite.

Booked a table online for Saturday night with an email confirmation only to be told "you have cancelled it". When we said that we didn't, we were again told what he had and hadn't done, apparently. I was tempted to walk away but decided as they were still able to fit us in that we were hungry enough to give it a shot. We were shown to a nice table by another member of staff who simply placed the menu in front of us and asked what drinks we wanted. "Have you got ID on you?" I was asked. Yes I replied. Have you got it on you? I was asked. Again, yes I replied. Perhaps I should have been asked if I could show my ID. A please and thank you wouldn't go amiss. Anyway our meals arrived and were slapped down in front of us. No care to attention from the waiting staff but the food was great. Poor experience and will find it hard to return.

Went with my family , two adults two children. Restaurant service was fast considering how busy restaurant was, the servers was amazing/ friendly and very happy to help with my queries. Great priced children’s meals that came in two sizes depending on age. The two adult burrito mains were just amazing and tasty, worth every penny. Great visit! Defo recommend.

Been to a couple of chiquitos before now, this one was a little disappointing.

Not been to this chain of restaurants before but decided to give it a try on a night out with sister in law. We had a reservation and asked for a quiet table which we were given. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, really fresh and delicious; it far surpassed our expectations. I will definitely be returning!

We decided to visit as a couple of us had been before, we had four different things to celebrate.

Had dinner at this restaurant with 4 members of my family it was lovely food very nice staff very nice and friendly I would recommend this place to everyone we really enjoy the staff and the desert were Devine

Average food, ordered starters but all food came out together which was very annoying. Slow at taking drinks order too.

Rude abrupt staff, waited for nearly half an hour before anyone came over to our table. No apologies for the delay. We ended up walking out of the restaurant. Would have understood if the restaurant was busy but there were only 4 other people in there at the time. Very unfriendly, will not be returning.

I visited Chiquitos on Saturday night with my family for my dads birthday. The food was nice but did not rate the service. I pre-booked the table and my brother advised them it was my dads birthday and they said they would bring him something out at the end to make it a bit more special. They forgot to do this. When asked for drinks the waiter forgot numerous times and had to ask for the same drink on 3 occasions! A lady waitress was quite rude when she brought some of the food out and was very abrupt...I do not like the fact they put the optional service charge on the bill without telling you, which was over £20!..all in all I don’t think we’ll be visiting again.

We decided to eat at Chiquito before our visit to The Royal Centre. Overall the premises, staff and toilet facilities were very good but I have rated them average because the food was just OK. We both had vegetarian fajita. Slightly disappointed that there was no protein in the meal just vegetables. I have also scored them an average because the vegetables are served on a hot iron plate and although the staff do warn you about the hot dish, when I went to move the dish to one side the rubber that is supposed to be all the way round the handle was exposed underneath and I burnt my finger.

Nice food and very friendly staff. Large and varied menu so will go back and try something different.

Visitited for my birthday was so disappointed , my favourite dish is the fajitas we had the sizzling chicken fajitas but when it came it was just luke warm there was no sizzle about it. Obviously had ran out of peppers as we had a plateful of onion and about 2 strands of yellow pepper...very colourful dish indeed ( NOT) The wraps were cold and the sauces were straight out the fridge all chucked in one bowl and not seperated like in the previous picture in the reviews. The dessert was lovely though we had the cheesecake but sadly wont be returning to this chiquitos again unless i just want a dessert.

Ordered a small plate of chilli tortilla as I was not too hungry, waited for an hour for our meal and when it came it was luke warm. Extremely disappointing. It was the first time and the first impression was terrible. Never coming back again.

Visited on the 26th of August, been coming here since 2012/2013 always have a lovely time and great food except today when my friend and I came in - my steak was well done when I asked for medium rare, chips were hard, coleslaw was cheesy which it never normally is, nachos were dry so was the chicken. One waitress. Had to wait ages to get served and to pay. Asked for water and never got it. Then when we got our change she had to under change us as she didn’t have it. Very unhappy.

This is my favourite restaurant and am very disappointed as me and my friend always come here but the service was just very poor, both of our food tasted dry and tasteless, one staff member had an awful attitude on her and seemed to look down on customers, also asked for a glass of water which I never got and then they had to under change me because they didn’t have it...not sure if I will be returning which is a shame as this was the place we always went to for food.

Visited in the day at around qauter past 1. Only 1 waitress working and 1 manager. Slow service about a 20 minute wait to even take our order whilst she was cleaning and then when the food arrived it was cold as it has been left on the stand for 5 minutes. Came before and had similar service so thought we would try again but was let down. Won't be returning and would not recommend plenty of better places to eat. Either employ more staff durring the day or provide better staff.

We had a waiter called Max. He made our meal special tonight with his attention to detail on the service. Always smiling and made sure we had more drinks straight away as soon as we was nearly finishing the other ones. I would come again purely down to his service.

Food is as good as you'll get with a chain. This location is always short staffed so it takes forever to get drinks & food. They change the menu often too so the beer I got the 1st visit wasn't available the 2nd time.

Visited today for lunch before a theatre show, loved the food we had the Texan burger the Jambolaya and chicken baya bowl. Generous portions very tastie and colourful presentation. Service was really good our server Phillip went out of his way to make our visit memorable

Chiquito is one of my favorite places in Nottingham their dishes are very delicious and their new menu is diverse, the place has great atmosphere with friendly staff!

We went for an evening meal, we had nachos with various extras. I thoroughly enjoyed these, but my husband was not so struck, he said it was a bit runny. How can you award four and a half points to such an excellent meal.

The atmosphere was perfect and Tania the lady who served our table is in totally the right job, couldn’t be more helpful and great fun too, really nice experience, thank you

Just called in for a drink to see if I fancy eating here sometime. Tania was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Everywhere looked very clean. I loved the bright décor and the Mexican music which made the place feel very alive and a fun place to be. Looking forward to eating here soon. Enjoyed my short visit. A lovely atmosphere.

We had lunch at Chiquito today and had a fabulous time. The luncheon menu was such a great price and the food was wonderful. Nachos with chicken and chorizo for starters for me, followed by the BBQ chicken wraps. Of course pudding is a must after such tasty food, Golden Nugget Cheesecake with chocolate sauce.

Visited this restaurant for second time this month.Different staff, different meal but great service and food on both occasions. Only flying visits but made to feel very welcome and would not hesitate to go there to eat for any occasion.

Popped in with the family for drink prior to the cinema. Bartender's abrupt reply was "no beer", seems as though all draft beers are out in the place. Have been a regular at this Chiquito for some time, the service has been gradually getting worse and is now really bad, wait staff just stand about talking and a couple of weeks ago I even saw the manager have an argument with a frustrated customer and throw them out.

My partner and I ordered from Chiquito Cornerhouse on Deliveroo as we have done multiple times. However, when my five bean chilli burrito arrived it was so spicy I could only manage 2 bites. I had ordered mild spice and as I have ordered this multiple times I knew that they had got my order wrong. I called the restaurant to tell them and a member of staff told me she had spoken to the kitchen and they state they used mild. I informed her this could not be the case as the burrito was incredibly spicy and my partner who regularly orders spicy food had tried mine and commented it was the same spice level as his Hot Beef Chilli Burrito. The member of staff said I could come to pick up another burrito but I informed her this wasn't possible as I did not want to travel to the restaurant for the sake of a burrito. No refund for the burrito (£14) was offered and the member of staff was generally unhelpful - stating I could always call back tomorrow. Not impressed with customer service and will not be ordering/eating from there again.

We were in town for our annual visit to the Elite league ice hockey play offs, and popped in for breakfast. We were a little early and arrived 10 minutes before they were due to open, but the lovely waitress let us in and offered to serve us anyway. As always the breakfast was spot on, fresh and tasty, but the service is what made our visit stand out. We'll done.

I'm from out of town and really fancied a cocktail and some Mexican food - had been to Chiquito before in a different city so perfect option for me. We were greeted my the Manager, David, who has a great welcoming and cheerful manner - he seated us in the bar area (at our request) as we were only in for drinks and snacks. My kids ordered 2 kids meals which arrived very fast and were a good size. The cocktails took longer to make (they could do with more staff behind the bar making cocktails!) but as it was 2 for 1 margaritas, I cant complain too much. The adult starters took a while to come out and when we told David that we were still waiting, he rushed off and came back about 2 minutes later with the food and also a complementaty margarita to apologise for the wait. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Overall, the service was not great - the bar staff were rushed off their feet and there didn't seem to be enough waiting staff, however, David was rushing around trying to put everything right, and for us, he did a great job and I have no complaints at all - thank you for a good evening!

Went to Chiquito with my wife to celebrate my birthday, my wifes suggesttion to try this place. Very dissappointed with the standard of the food, i had the mexican paella, the star of this was supposedly the succulent king prawn topping. These were so overcooked I couldn't get the shell off them, mentioned this to the waitress and asked her to take it to the chef, which she refused to do but did get the manager to come to our table. I showed him the prawns and voiced my opinion about how dreadfully these had been treated. I got no apology for this but did get a telling off for upsetting the waitress who was apparently crying in the kitchen. I apologised for this but was still asked to leave and to pay in full for the meals. I certainly wont be going back there

I ordered the chicken Fajitas I had been craving them all week, came out looking lush and amazing couldn’t wait to dig in, however I made up my first wrap went to bite inside and It was chewy / raw meat, I instantly spat it out and called over the waitress she was useless tried to tell me it was just “vain of the chicken” and that there was no manger in store, now I only eat boneless chicken as it doesn’t tend to be bloody (very rarely I come across blood ) the service was poor, how I got delt with was also poor defo lost mine and my friends custom:(

We were in Nottingham for three days and thought to give Chiquito a try. The starters was great, cocktails great and service was really nice too, but the main courses was a huge letdown. The steak was way over cooked and the pulled pork enchiladas was very tough and lacked flavours. I asked for Volcanic hot and it was hardly spiced. It’s a shame really. But as I said the service was great and the waitress made best margaritas.

Phoebe is an excellent waitress. The food was a disaster (mine was cold and my partner's food was missing the extra chicken that he had ordered) but Phoebe sorted this out in a prompt manner. Very friendly and professional service.

I can honestly say that this particular Chiquito is by far the worst one in the chain of restaurants my family has ever had the misfortune to frequent, and quite possibly the worst ‘dining experience ‘ we’ve ever had anywhere! If I could have given it a nil score I would certainly have done so.

The staff called Tanya went out of her way to make the best birthday celebration for my sister ! She made our stay welcome and was so so friendly ! I will go there again just because of the way she treated us !

My and my mum poped here for a cocktail before the cinema and was served by the male manager who was lovely and recommended the coconut cocktails. He also gave us complimentary nachos that he let us take away in a box for cinema snacks. Great conversation skills, good vibes. Would recommend :)

We visited before a night out to see an event at the Motorpoint Arena. We’d never been to this chain before.

I came here with my friend a few weeks ago and we were served by an older woman with an accent who didn't smile nor acknowledge us while taking our order, although we were polite and greeted her with 'hello you alright?'.

Food took forever to come, service was horrific, we had to ask for sauce to go with our side 3 times before someone got back to us, and to top it off the portion sizes were laughable. The staff were miserable and the prices were extortionate.

I had previously only been here one time 3 years ago and wasn't happy with my experience but a friend who was visiting the city said they wanted to try it out.

I came here for a birthday meal with family and the value of food for money was very poor. Every single family member were left feeling hungry and the food is so expensive for what it is worth.

Had a wonderful lunch with my boyfriend, our server Tanya was lovely and attentive! Food was delicious and got to us quick, very reasonable prices so left very happy and full.

Well our first time in Chiquito after a bad experience 8 years ago in V. Water Surrey.

A very nice, polite, friendly, happy, helpful, young man welcomed us in. He was very Attentive and his Service and manners were second to none. When our food arrived it was really nice and well presented. We will definitely be returning again next time we pop into Nottingham Town Centre.

My partner and I went there for a belated Valentines meal.

Made a booking for 5:30, arrived on time and taken straight to a table and left there. Waited a long time to order a drink then even longer to order food. Restaurant was very busy and didn’t have enough staff to cope. Some people left as they were having to wait so long to be served. The food was very good when it did arrive besides the steak on my fajita being more like well done than medium rare and my wife’s chicken and pulled pork fajita containing no pulled pork at all. Mentioned these when paying and was given a cursory “sorry about that”. All in all pretty nice food but not really a satisfactory experience.

My friend and I always come here but,last night was not good. I get you would have no tables available with it being Valentine’s Day. We asked if it was okay to sit at the bar as we only wanted a starter each which was fine. We had to wait an hour for them to come out!! Why do you not inform your customers about the wait on food?? Absolutely disgraceful!!

I cannot fault the restaurant at all we had a fantastic meal the staff were brilliant very freindly and even though it was busy they were very happy and helpful . The food was amazing there was 13 of us and it all came out together was very fresh and tasted amazing . They brought our birthday cake over and joined in with the celebration we have all said that we will definitely return and recommend to others .

Me and my friend visited this restaurant for a few drinks before we watched a film, our bartender Eddie made excellent cocktails that came quickly and looked fantastic. I had 2 pina coladas and my friend had mojitos. Will be visiting again.

Worst lunch ever! 1h30 waiting for a enchilada... Soon ir arrives i just called the manager and left! We were a 9 person group... Then we just went to Tortilla and on 5min we had a amazing burrito!

I am currently sat in Chiquito watching my sister eat her meal as I had to send my plate back to the kitchen because the ribs, chicken and corn were terribly burn. After waiting over 40mins for our mains its disappointing having to leave hungry. The waiter didnt even apologise... Saturday afternoon wasted!

We were welcomed by David who made sure we had a brilliant experience throughout our meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, even for one of our party who isn't a fan of Mexican food.

I didn’t expect much to be honest when we went for lunch here with it being a chain. I was definitely wrong. Service was good, lovely atmosphere and food was gorgeous. I’d definitely return to here

9 of us arrived for an early evening meal on Saturday 16th December, and whereas there seemed to be a reasonable number of tables free, we were told we could not have 2 tables next to each other due to all the others being reserved. Apparently people had reserved specific tables which I find a little hard to believe. You might expect that in an upmarket restaurant but not one for the masses. The 5 at our table ordered our meals and the starters turned up fairly quickly. However the main courses did seem to take a while, and we saw other people arriving after we had ordered, who had their meals served well before ours. I went and spoke to the manager who informed us all customers who had pre-booked had priority over walk ins, even those who arrived well after us which seemed very odd. Our 5 main courses eventually arrived but the other 4 in our party had yet to receive theirs. They too had complained and were informed theirs would be out in about 5 meals time. They were sat near the kitchen and counted out 7 meals with no sign of theirs. In the mean time, we had finished our mains (the food was average, I'm sure would have been better had they been less busy), and they had not even received theirs, even though they ordered at a similar time as us. They had no choice but to walk out in disgust. Whilst I appreciate this was a very busy Christmas Saturday, there's no need to treat walk ins as 2nd class citizens else people will not return. If this is a Chiquitos policy countrywide, we won't be walking into a Chiquitos that looks fairly busy at any time in the future.

We had some time to kill before watching the latest Star Wars so we went to here for a beer. We were served quickly and got a place to sit.

Went for breakfast today. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Food was very good and general atmosphere was friendly . Prices very competitive for quality of food provided. Highly recommend

Came in for a few cocktails but ended up ordering food, the enchiladas we ordered were not too spicy but had enough of a kick. The cocktails were fairly priced and tasted amazing, would definitely come in again!
