Super food, great service, very quiet when we ate.

Looks great on the plate but it's actually bland, cheap ingredient based tasteless food. If the cheese isn't cheesy you know you have a problem. The guacamole was tasteless pureed slop. I had a spicy chicken chimichnga with jalapeño 'cheese sauce'. It was actually bland sauce less rice in a slightly warm wrap. Wall paper paste has more going for it. Massively overpriced trash.

Amazing service. Welcoming atmosphere and speed of service was good also. Siobhan is amazing and very friendly and recommended choices from the menu based on our likes.

I really wanted to leave a great review of chiquitos but unfortunately this time I was let down. Normally chiquitos have been fantastic no matter where they are located but this time at the middlebrook branch we were let down by the service. Upon arrival we were greeted fine and shown to the table they asked if there were any allergies which was good and I informed them that I have an avocado intolerance so no guacamole for me which they said they'd make a note of. The drinks and starters came quickly but then there was a wait of 20+ minutes and still no mains. I managed to find a server and ask where the mains were and then they promptly came out. Unfortunately they brought my meal covered in guacamole which I reminded them I can't eat and to give them their dues they took back and remade. It was an unfortunate time delay then for my main to reappear whilst everyone was eating their meals. When it did arrive I can't fault the food it was tasty and good quality but then when we asked to pay they brought the bill but disappeared. It took three attempts asking various servers can I pay which was responded with someone will be over shortly and a ten minute wait for the card machine to finally come over. Which delayed our day. As I say that was the only problem with chiquitos other than missing the allergy advice. We were just let down by the service.

Went for my birthday lunch. Good selection of 3 courses for £15. It was amazing, the food and the service. Our server went out of her way to accommodate us. We left incredibly stuffed and happy.

Love chiquitto and tonight was no difference. Our server Josie was lovely and a massive credit to the company

Great service staff was very nice and there was a 5 minute wait time which was amazing and all of the food was nicely cooked.

We first came here because we love Mexican food, but we continue to come for the quality of food, friendly and helpful staff and the value for money. Highly recommend Chiquito’s Bolton!

We went for first time to celebrate our sons 30th birthday celebrations, the food was great, the staff are lovely, the restaurant was atmospheric, the only issue was the service was a little slower than we would have liked but I would highly recommend it 😀

Booked a table for 4 people and a buggy at 4:45 New Year’s Eve.. they took our drinks order at 5pm then took our food order at 5:10 food came out bout 5:20 we eat and then was asked if we wanted dessert we ordered dessert and that came out then soon as it came out we had not even put the dessert to our mouths and he came with the bill soon as we eat dessert we was then told we needed to leave as they needed the table it was 5:55 I still had a full drink I had to leave.. we have never felt so rushed at all and to be told we had to leave because they needed the table we hadn’t even been there an hour eating… We will definitely not be going again

Love this place. Dined just before Christmas with my friend for lunch. Served by the lovliest waitress who was chatty and very attentive. Made us so welcome and relaxed. Food yummy as always. Had a chicken burger with halloumi. Expected a thin slice of the cheese but it was huge, delicious! Will keep visiting here. Thankyou!

Food was great, or at least mine was. They would have gotten 4stars across the board but they got my friends order wrong however they corrected it quickly enough and brought a fresh dish out

Lovley interior,could spend a whole afternoon there,decore is great. Food was nice..I think,too spicy for my delicate throat...but loved the nachoes. Service is first class,friendly staff,adds to the atmosphere. All in all, first rate,top notch,great !

Excellent service, quick, friendly and clean. Food was a little "chain restaurant" but tasty enough. We needed very quick service (we were between sessions at a snooker match because me and John are rock and roll like that) and that's exactly what the waiters obliged us with. The menu was extensive and I liked that you could build your own meal from a range of options for each item. Very impressed overall but would have liked a little more flavour in the food.

I ate here recently and was really impressed. The food was delicious. I am gluten intolerant, the staff were really good at asking about allergies. And there were plenty of gluten free options.

We stopped here to fulfil my wife’s Chiquito addiction whilst on mount way home from a weekend away. Great service from walking through the door until leaving. Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Defo recommend going here to eat.

Really enjoyed the visit with my family, we all loved the food we had and the restaurant itself is surprisingly lovely given that it is sat on top of a car park. Nice little terrace outside, and nicely appointed inside. My only gripe was the price for the quantity of food received. I think I paid £14 for 3 tacos and they were very small and with only a small amount of meat (and other fillings) in them. £8 would have been a more reasonable price for the quantity.

Good food and good sized portions, friendly waitress service, didn't have to wait long for food to arrive - tho' it was pretty quiet at the time. Prices not bad for the lunch time deal

The service here was excellent all the staff were helpful and very pleasant. The food was delicious and served promptly. I would like to mention our waitress Mandy who went out of her way to be helpful.

Been a lot over the years here to this restaurant but never reviewed it. Never had any issues at all. Always fairly busy which is no surprise as the food is always excellent. It can take a while to come sometimes but that is understandable given how busy it is. Staff are always friendly and nothing you ask for is too much trouble. Toilets are clean Plenty of parking as it is on a retail park. You can access via the stairs or lift and park underneath which is perfect for the British weather. The bar is excellent if you want to just visit for drinks or just have a drink before your table is ready. There is seating in the bar also.

From entering the restaurant met by a lovely welcoming lady. Went for a dinner menu. With our family. Great choice food was really good and plenty. We had a 2 course set menu . Good price. All staff who served us fantastic really friendly . Was a great experience definitely going again.

I always thoroughly enjoy Chiquitos! The nachos are some of the best Ive had, always chicken and chorizo topping! Soft drinks I would say are a little overpriced, but I guess line up with most restaurants. They do offer jugs of water. Ample parking can be very busy when Bolton Wanderers are playing.

We come here regularly, and we are never disappointed. The food is always cooked well and so so tasty!! I have yet to find nachos that taste better. We’ve never had a bad experience with staff either, in fact today Sami went above and beyond to help us even though it was unusually busy for the time of day we came in. Sami attended to everything we needed with a warmth and friendliness that made us feel at ease. When he found out we were short on time he made sure we had everything we needed and served us swiftly, again making it seem like nothing was too much for him. We love Chiquito’s, and service like Sami’s will always keep on coming back!

Amazing Thank you so much x our little girl is coeliac and they were brilliant bringing her extra of her favourite things. We felt safe that things were gluten free and the kids gf menu was limited but luckily things that she enjoyed. Staff brought her gluten free wraps to add with her main meal and some extra cheese. We have had a lovely time and will be visiting this Chiquitos restaurant again Thank you

Lovely to go to chiquitos perfect

Visited again this afternoon, had a really terrible experience a couple of months ago but thought they may have made some alterations and improvements since then. Unfortunately not, it’s always the case here… food is okay but the service has always been horrendous. Sat outside in the sun, the only people to be dining, and we witnessed one other group enter the restaurant for the duration of our visit, so they were not busy at all. It took 40 minutes for 2 starters to arrive.. had to go inside and find someone to order another drink.. mains came luke warm and appeared as if they had been sat under a lamp for a long time. Quality of the main meals really were not up to scratch, and most definitely not worth the price. Most definitely would avoid in future, not worth a third chance.

Have Been in for lunch today with my friend and met up with my two cousins who were going to the Pink Concert at the Stadium.the service was good Food came out in a short time which was nice .Cheese cake for Afters was really good.Staff really friendly plus today with how busy it was and proberly the same to morrow have worked so hard and truly earned there mondy .

Visited without booking on Bank Holiday Monday, early evening. The waitress was attentive and was friendly, especially with our young daughter. The food was decent enough, nothing to write home about, but hit the brief for a chain restaurant and certainly filled us up. The decor and atmosphere fitted with our wish for something casual but also befitting of a mini "ocassion" rather than just some fast food on the go.

I have gone to three Chiquitos in three different parts of the UK in the past twelve months. The experience was the same each time - excellent food but I had to wait ages to eat. For example, I went to the branch in Bolton recently and my party and I waited for ages for the starters and the mains arrived precisely 90 minutes (yes 90) after we had ordered them. I had timed it because of my two previous experiences. What was the reason? Each time it was the same. The mains were actually done, sitting on the warming plates, and waiting to be brought to our table. I do not blame the waiters. There are too few staff in each restaurant. Question: where are the managers and what are they doing? No one every comes to the tables to check on things. I doubt if I will go again because, quite frankly, there are thousands of restaurants and I want to eat. Why did I go this time? The rest of the party wanted to and I was hoping that things would be different. Again, the food is terrific but I am hungry!

I have rarely ever been disappointed with a meal here. Good food and helpful staff with great service, if not always the fastest. I would advise booking at busy or peak times as it is still a popular place to eat, despite it being one of only a few Chiquitos left in the area now.

The staff were wonderful and more than happy to help you out. Was a nice dining experience but it was the food that was the issue. The food was mediocre, from starter to mains we found the food to lack in taste and authenticity. The nachos we had for starter was just a few nachos and massive blobs of of sauces which cost an extreme amount of money for what you get. Same again with the mains very bland and boring, lacking in taste or flavour.

Serves was slow, food was cold. New management disappointed. Used to be a place I have visited pretty much every week in a past. Went back recently and was terrible. Hope they will mange to turn it around.

The food and ambience was overall good. Our waiter was nice and helpful. The food wasn't as hot as I wanted it, but I'm one of those people who can't stand cold food and prefers food to be steaming. Overall, I like the place and visit once in a while as I like the ribs here.

I come to this restaurant a lot as I love Mexican food. The choices are varied and the food is delicious. I'm always greeted by friendly staff members; especially Deniz - he provided great customer service throughout the duration of our recent visit. Will be back soon!! :)

Was a lovely experience from start to finish with friendly staff, our waiter was called John and was brilliant and so helpful even helping sort a bottle for the baby right away even tho he was busy and the food was amazing. Never been to a chiquitos before but will deffo go back.

Tonight was my first time experiencing chiquitos and was looking forward too it after trying the iceland range. Both me and my partner was disappointed with the food, it was very bland. We both left half of our main meal (chimichanga) chicken tinga and pork carnitas. It was also expensive to be honest. The service was excellent from the waiter john, pleasant and professional!

Charged extra for spice seasoning on the fries and that wasn’t mentioned that it would be extra when ordering at the table especially when already paying almost £18 for a burger which unfortunately was bland. Shame as we were looking forward to this .. wasn’t what was expected for the price of the meal.. disappointing I’m afraid

Food came out frozen had to go back they was Happy to remake it. Before they brought new food back to the table a member off staff (not kitchen staff) decided to move the food around on the plate with her fingers and them bring it to the table, so had to send back again . Then decided to give us a service charge off nearly £17 because there was 8 off us but we have never paid that previously when we have all been. Would not recommend to anyone

Had been building up to a trip here after trying Chiquitos in Printworks in Manchester and thoroughly enjoying it. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Service seemed rushed to start with until we had ordered, and then slowed. Margaritas were not quite as good as in the other branch. Quesadillas were Luke warm only, nachos short on nachos and heavy on the bits, but the potato bravado were excellent to be fair. We visited about 12.30 pm on a quiet weekday lunchtime We have decided to find a Mexican closer to home going forward

Came here on the spare of the moment 28th Dec... Food nowhere near as a good as previous visits...we had nachos starter for 2...just acceptable....spicy beef burito (sloppy & look warm ,hardly any spicy beef)...loaded fries with spicy chilli beef...excellent.. Service needs attention...

Really shocked at this place they just dont give a s**t anymore. Really abrupt, impatient and in parts down right rude waiter.... Gone off coleslaw as well which they admitted to! The manager was helpful... after i nearly vommed Waitress even admitted 'i told chef that coleslaw didnt look right' He clearly cares about the food he serves AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

Just coming home from a celebration birthday dinner at Chiquitos Bolton. Even though its over a 30mins drive from home, this is our regular go to restaurant for a great evening out with our family. The food always arrives quickly, is always brilliant and tasty. There's great choice of food and drink, including mocktails which my teenage kids love. The service is always friendly, but tonights server went above and beyond to make sure we had a good night.

I had never been here before but wanted to try the food, food was amazing. Theres a lot of food and like me would be better sharing the dishes. Friendly and attentive staff, but the food wow. I may have found my new favourite restaurant. If you have never tried Chiquito, definitely go.
