Chippy New Mossley in Newtownabbey

Got my order wrong two weeks in a row, last week they sent the proper order out an hour later, tonight they put cheese on my taco chip even though I have dairy allergies when I rung up they said they were too busy to send out one with no cheese absolute disgrace! DO NOT USE WHATSOEVER ORDER WAS GROSS!

Shocking never again rude staff hung up on me after ive been waiting two hours for lunch I will never use this place again and I wish Id read some of these other reviews before i ordered

Had a delivery here I phoned to ask if the sausage supper came with gravy the young boy told me it did when it arrived it didn’t so I phoned back and was told they would send the gravy down after 1 hr it hasent arrived so I phoned bk to be told it was not being sent down and all the staff denied that I had phoned then they z I shouldn’t of been told that and hung up the phone on me and wouldn’t answer when I phoned right back now my son has freezing food as we waited a hr for something that was never being sent in the first place complete disgrace how they handle things

Jst had food out of here and all I can say is that it was a soggy mess. Chips mushy with black eyes from the potatoes still in. Onion rings were in bits. Batter not on the onions. Total disaster. Cold and soggy to sum it up. Don’t waste your money coming here

Used to absolutely love the food from New Mossley Chippy but got a takeaway last night and it did not go down well at all. Chicken burger was average at best whereas it used to be 'to die for' delicious. Spicy battered chicken goujons were really quite gross, thick soggy batter and the chips were just so so. Won't be back. Such a pity as the food used to be so good, not sure if it's a new 'chef / fryer' is the problem or if its been bought over but nevertheless we will be going elsewhere in future for our chippy fix.

Went because heard about how good fruity curry both times this week chips have been cold and on second trip when we got home normal curry was in bag instead of fruity throw the whole lot out waste money

The past two times I've ordered on justeat the order has been cancelled, always liked the food however I'll not be ordering again due to this reason.

I always ordered for delivery from this takeaway, it always arrives fresh, hot and tasty. The family 12 deal is the best value around - 4 sausages 2 pasties 2 chips portion chicken goujons, gravy/curry and dips.

Normally lovely but tonight was a disgrace had to throw it out and order a pizza! Rotten will not be back

Placed an order through just eat for two pasties, a portion of battered sausages, a portion of normal sausages, a chip, a large tub of gravy and a tub of taco sauce. We placed the order at 8:57 and it didn't arrive until 10:25 by the time I got it everything was stone cold in it the chips and pasties were incredibly soggy and they also forgot the tub of gravy at 1.30 a pop. £16.20 for what we got was a joke. I won't be ordering from here again. Absolutely shocking!

for so e reason i keep getting a small gravy chip instead of a large. happens all the time. food was also 45 mins late. only thing that saved the order was food was hot and tasty as usual

Incredibly disappointed at the meal that I have just received. Missing parts of the order, FREEZING cold food. not only did I have to wait 1 hour 20 minutes for the food to arrive, it arrived cold, including sauces for the goujons and burger dressing. Cheesy chip with “any sauce” arrived without selected sauce and the cheese was unmelted slice on top of a selection of cold chips. disappointed as food is usually tolerable, however this was £13.20 down the drain, and will be the last time I will order from this establishment. POOR!

I usually dont write reviews when I am happy with somewhere I let wallet do the talking. But this is the second time in recent months the food was overly late cold and I was almost late for work due to this. A good workman never blames his tools bit this is unacceptable and I am sorry I won't be back. When your good you're excellent but when your bad you're woeful.

Got the Notification to say it was enroute (not that they had received the order) at 5 to 6... meal turned up at 7... the food had obviously been in the delivery car for the whole hour as when I got it... it was freezing cold. The paper was dripping in grease (disgusting). The chip bean and cheese I ordered was awful, really strange taste off the chips. Soggy batter on fish (also cold). Burger was cold. I think the only edible thing among it was the sausages which were at best... luke warm. And only a "sorry for the delay" as an after thought when the delivery driver was already halfway back to the car. This is the only chip shop we use and are so disappointed in the service and the food... I've never tasted worse. Won't be back for the foreseeable future. Very off putting sorry!

I placed an order tonight for a chippy with 'Mossley chippy' unfortunately the food didn't arrive for over 2 hours. We rang the chippy twice inside the two hours and both times were told our food was on the way. When it finally arrived it was absolutely freezing (I wouldn't even feed it to the dogs) the freezing cold drinks had been threw into the bag on top of the kids meals! They were a soggy cold disaster!! I had 3 hungry children on treat night then to cook for. I contacted the chippy to discuss the matter and unfortunately was told by a rude member of their staff the management would contact me back straight away to issue a refund or something.. it's now been 4 hours, the place is closed and I still haven't heard from them!! I'm absolutely appalled

got out of here as haven't done in ages, chicken filet was burnt couldn't even eat it, chips was cold & so was the rest of the food. wasn't impressed with the food at all & wouldn't haven't minded it being late if food was good but can't say it was.

apart from the offer being 45 minutes late. let's say it wasn't worth the wait .the chips were just short of being cooked. sausages must have been cooked yesterday as they were as hard as an old boot. the chicken again was dry cooked a few times shrunk into what is supposed to be batter. my teeth couldn't even chew it . a waste of 16 quid!!! very disappointing

The food was spot-on but the portion size of the large chip needs to be increased. I dare to think what the small sized chip is like. I don't know if they had a potato shortage but an increase of maybe one or two more potatoes would be fair.

Fumming! Chips and burger were literally freezing so went straight in the bin. Also Got something different from what I ordered. This always happens when I order from here, or they always forget something. Was looking forward to a cheesy chip with gravy and just got a gravy chip. One of the burgers bap was so burnt that's all I could taste. Seemed like they were rushing to get the food out as it was near closing time. Won't ever get from here again.

Food was cold, and arrived 20 mins after delivery time had to re heat it when it got here not happy at all good is usually good here order closer to home next time.

I ordered at 3.10 its nows 4.45 & I am still waiting on on delivery I rang at 4.15 to be told all deliveeies have left the shop which means by the time it does eventually reach me it will be freezing! Will never order again!!

I normally get a wrap... or as I've started calling in meat in a box with a tortilla... I'm not sure they know how to actually wrap a wrap. Makes it awkward to eat but always tastes great :) I've eaten from here quite a lot and wouldn't order from another chip shop. Food is always of a consistent standard

Been very out of new Mossley for a while now and recently the food has been rubbish burgers like burnt and like rubber sodas falling apart due to the amount of oil left sitting in them would like to see proper toasted an buttered sodas with little grease chips soggy very little sauce. to think I voted for new Mossley for Belfast best chip wish I hadn't

Mains were fine, but chips were pretty poor visually, lots of black bits and green bits, put kids off and they wouldn't eat them. Ordered meals with drinks included, but they were not delivered, pretty poor. Chicken Goujons rated highly and chicken wrap was great. Pasty was nice, spicy.

1 hour and 20 mins to deliver food and when it finally came after a few phone calls it wasnt warm anymore. Rang to enquire and the girl i spoke to was no help and just said "it's out for delivery" despite being told that already via text 45 mins prior!

Actually despite using this place quite a lot I was really horribly disappointed. The en route took nearly 40 minutes, the large portion of pepper chips was the smallest I've ever received, they weren't hot and were soggy. (Didn't finish them) The much talked about burger was dry couldn't eat it. No bacon despite paying for it, again it was slightly warmed, the burger bun was soggy. (Didn't eat it). No answer on the phone, just really really disappointing. :( Not of a standard I expect to receive. I appreciate it's Sunday, I appreciate it's busy but when I'm paying £12+ for a burger and chips I really do expect it to be hot, delivered on time and edible. What happened????

Delivery time was quite a bit over the estimated. The gourmet burger was great and I've had it a few times now but I just can't get my head around the chips, they were 'ok' but my partner didn't want to eat his at all as they were so soft and soggy. Last time we ordered there was an item missing and we were met with a rude man over the phone when we asked for the item to be sent out (or a refund). It's such a shame because it was great the first time and we wanted to give them another chance but it was a bit of a let down again I'm afraid.
