Hair in food. Do not recommend. Poor service from staff when I told them, they were rude and told me they’ll never serve me again. I was polite and discreet about the situation, they were quite rude. I did get my money back though, so they get 1 star.

Order a take away from here going on past experience many yrs ago and I have to say its unfortunately fell way way sort of what it used to be Very greasy and tasteless

This food is tasty , but take away only since the pandemic. They told me they hoping to reopen the restaurant later this year (autumn 2023) but not confirmed.

Lovely takeaway!! Shamefully we eat out a lot, so we know our food! We just had the best takeaway from these guys. (The stables) Very nice guy my wife ordered from on the phone, food came within 30mins and was extremely well cooked and tasty. Loved the beef and crispy noodles. This is the best Chinese we have had in the area by a mile, I wecomend them massively!

This is a proper traditional local Chinese Restaurant. Been an essential part of Chingford for years, great quality food, and fantastic attentive service. It's a little gem that is always busy and the local custom is testament to that.

Don’t go anywhere else for Chinese. Lovely family been running it for decades and can’t do enough for you . Food is the best Chinese I have ever tasted . They are so good you may have to wait so don’t post bad reviews on here because of their popularity!

We ordered a delivery only to still be waiting an hour and a half for it to be delivered. I went to the restaurant and was told that they had forgotten the order. What a joke. This was the first time we used them and it will be the last. Never again.

The service was excellent from the moment we walked in, the food was great with well sized portions, very tasty. The value was excellent.

This newly refurbish restaurant is first class.The staff are welcoming and offer good advice regarding the extensive menu.We settled for a set meal which was extensive ,tasty,and well presented.The wine and drinks menu was well chosen.A nice gift for the ladies on leaving.Will certainly be back

Always dependable Chinese in Station Road,near the Green. Great friendly service as usual and good value meal with friends. Super portions. Well worth a run out to North Chingford, and easy parking. nearby. Try it!

The service and food was fantastic. The tables were a little tight. There was 5 of us ended up sitting of two tables of two. Having said that the food was just fantastic and the staff were amazing

We are regulars and have been ever since we stumbled apon this wonderful chinese restaurant two years ago. Delicious food and always quick and piping hot when delivered. Lovely little restaurant to eat in too.

I know someone that eats here a lot but I have never been in or had a take away from here before.Had an early evening meal with a friend - what a surprise it is lovely food is good and the staff are lovely.Sitting here wondering why I have never been here before - most certainly will go again

It was my first time having Chingford Chinese and it certainly won’t be my last. I didn’t catch the mans name who I spoke to but he was really helpful regarding my nut allergy and staff was friendly when I picked up my food. The food is also amazing!

Somehow never got to eat here before having lived so close for decades. Finally took the plunge and was not disappointed. Food was good, service prompt and staff friendly. Will go again I’m sure

This restaurant is a well maintained restaurant with nice ambiance. It has the feel of a family run restaurant. The food was great and the service was fantastic. The staff members were very attentive and showed genuine interest in the customers. It was moderately priced for London. I would highly recommend it for either families.

I used to walk past here for years, but a friend recommended that I try the place and I have now been here a couple of times recently.

Awful. Don’t bother - chicken dish was very poor. We went because it always looks busy, staff were friendly but the food was really bad. We refused to eat one dish as it tasted so bad!

we had a lovely meal, served by very helpful and attentive staff. The next time we visit we will go for more adventurous options. The restaurant also has a take away menu of which we took a menu with us. We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant/menu and we have found it

Toik my 2 daughters for a birthday meal and lioked up reviews on TA. All views were positive and I wasnt disappointed!. Family run, small, personal and friendly and suoerb Chinese food. I would 100% recommend. We are definitely going back. 👍

I have only ever eaten in the restaurant once as it is quite small but the takeaway service is always a delight, food is always hot and fresh and has always come on time. The is always so many people collecting too!

when eating a local Chinese this is the place for me not fancy decor dut pleasant staff with good food we have eaten a wide range of menu at this place and been here many times with family & friends and had no problems.

For 3 people food we paid over £30 and food came with very small portion and was not tasty l will not buy again

Hemos estado yendo allí por más de 15 años, cada vez que visito a mi familia eso es el primer lugar donde ir a comer, la comida siempre es estupenda, y el servicio con una sonrisa, es dirigido por una familia local china durante muchos años, así que bien vale la pena visitar.

Siempre tienen una buena comida aquí y es muy razonable! Quizás el uso no una celebración especial, pero por un poco de comida china es genial, y no estirado! !

I like this resturant as its like stepping back in time,the decor hasn't changed since Grasshopper left the Temple in search of enlightenment. The staff are lovely, the food is okay and I am informed the odd minor celeb rocks up on occasion to chomp chow mien. If you want service with a smile and a decent munch you won't be disappointed.

Excellent good quality freshly cooked food only ever had takeaway service but restaurant is always busy.A friend recommend this place for best local quality food.We use this place regularly now for Friday night take always it is a must!!Staff are friendly welcoming and coutourse obliging Well worth a visit xxx

Me and my family have used Chingford Chinese many times, and the friendly staff cannot do enough for you. My children regularly order off menu(fussy no veg etc) and they always come up trumps. I would 100% recommend, if you are after a decent, family friendly proper Chinese at a reasonable prices this is the place to go.

We always enjoy our delivery from here, little more expensive than some others locally but we always go back because it is reliable. Never eaten in just delivery

Like many other comments on this post, have lived in Chingford for years and had no idea this place was here. Some would say dated decor but I really thought it added to the feel of the place. The welcoming owners and family environment made it feel as if you had been welcomed over to someone's house for dinner.Food was really tasty and really reasonably priced . Would recommend and definitely visit again soon !

I have lived in the area for several years and never noticed this place.I tried a takeaway and was pleasantly surprised.a few months later we went for a meal and it has to be the best Chinese food I have ever had.

The food here is lovely. I especially like the Chicken and Pineapple.Haven't had a bad meal in all the years o have been going there.It's a nice place to have a take out or dine in.

Always have a good meal when I come here. Staff are friendly, food is always of a top standard. If there is something that is not on the menu or you need something altering them they will do it for you. Well worth a visit

I have lived in Chingford for over 20 years and have walked past this restaurant for 17 of them! Silly me, this is a great honest little Chinese restaurant and once I actually went in it became a firm family favourite. The staff treat us as friends now and this is a general thing not just reserved for us, the food is great, fresh and served with a smile. Value for money there are not too many local places that can compete. The decor is very 1970's but adds to its charm so don't walk past give it a go.

If i am honest it wasn't the best Chinese I've ever had. In fact, probably the worst Chinese takeaway. The food was dry and hard, not very fresh. Honestly, there are many Chinese takeaways close by which taste 1000 times better and are also better priced too.

This is small inside, but the staff are very friendly the food freshly prepared and "light".It is also very good for a takeaway.Called in placed my order, was given a seat, newspaper to read and some prawn crackers while I waited, which was not very long at all.

Always good food reasonably priced and there is a delivery service and a good take away I seem to get made a present of a can od beer at odd time and when my family were over from Canada we had a large order and received a bottle of white wine nice one !

Always a very warm welcome.Every visit reminds us that we know that we will enjoy a super meal, backed by unobtrusive, friendly service.The focus here is the simplicity of excellent food not needing expensive surroundings. Certainly amongst the best Chinese meals ever enjoyed.

The food is very delicate. Wide range of choices. You can find some traditional dishes (which cannot be found in other Chinese restaurants)!Highly recommend Chingford Chinese to those who are huge fans of Chinese food(like me!) what I find very special is the dessert here--- toffee apple. It's very crispy whereas warm and soft inside. That's a must order!!

I liked everything about this place, it's a bit old fashioned, really friendly attentive service, sensibly priced and lovely food. The Lady who appears to run it is very caring and took the time to ask how soon we wanted our mains after the starter which is a plus point. We were there early on a Sunday night and by the time we left it was filling up but there is a calm relaxed air that was refreshing. Many other Chinese restaurants locally have an all you can eat buffet on a Sunday and tend to be manic as a result of people over ordering to stuff themselves silly but this was a far cry from that and was thoroughly enjoyed.

I have dining in and ordered from the take away menu on a number of occasions and the food is consistently great! Its an old fashioned Chinese with flocked wallpaper, rather bright lighting and a net curtain but who cares when the staff are fab and food great. Try it!

Chingford Chinese was recommended to me by a couple of friends and it is very much a welcome surprise. It really doesn't look like much on the outside or that inviting in fact but once you're inside it's got that chilled, authentic, family restaurant vibe.Staff are super friendly and attentive - They are not in your face but are ready to take your order as soon as you are. We went there on a Friday evening and it was very busy but the service was still top notch. Do make a reservation in advance for Friday & Saturday nights.We got a few of the usual favourites to share amongst us and they all tasted great and were prepared quickly. The food tasted pretty fresh and not oily/heavy.None of us really kept an eye on the bill but it was just under £10 head excluding drinks.Would go there again!

We have been going to Chingford Chinese for a number of years and have only once been disappointed.If you go to the restaurant you might be slightly concerned as you walk up to it. The extra is rather dull and drab and the interior feels like it could do with sprucing up.The food on the other hand is very good and very reasonable priced. There were 9 of us in our party last night and I have to say I was rather expecting the food to be cold. However, the food was hot and tasted great. Everyone commented on the taste and said that they would definitely eat there again.So if your looking for a Chinese Takeaway in Chingford then you should definitely try this place. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

We have driven past this restaurant many, many times & have never been tempted to venture inside, mainly because of its dated & rather drab exterior, which stands out amidst the much fancier frontages of the neighbouring premises. An aquaintance recently told us to give it a try which we did & we were more than pleasantly surprised. The interior is dated, but it is scrupulously clean & the welcome was outstanding, friendly, efficient & quick. The food was traditional, well cooked with large portions & very reasonably price. So ignore it's tired appearance, go & enjoy an excellent Chinese meal.
