Chinese Gourmet in Barking and Dagenham

I asked for king prawn rice noodles and I got normal noodles This is the worse Chinese ever… the prawns even looked under done They got my order wrong and is trying to make me wait 2 - 3 hours for the right order I do recommend them at all

Terrible takeout place to order, we order £50 amount of food. And then the app said that the food is on their way to deliver we waited for more than two hours tried to call them the lady said that she will sorted it out and call as back but unfortunately she just kept us waiting and Tried to call back again but they did not answer. Its very heartless experience they could’ve told us that they cannot deliver the food because of the time we are so hungry that time and they kept us waiting, no apologies at all and not even bother to refund our money back.

Just had the best Iv ever Had, special fried rice extra soya sauce and chilli oil with sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style meal in 1 ,super flavourful super hot and freshly Made I can tell , the pork and batter coating was crisp not soggy it was freshly fried and put together, the meats in the special friend rice was of top quality, Nice bits of chicken pork prawn, unbelievable, perfect to Be fair , couldn’t fault a thing, I feel like going back right now and getting another 2 for later, respect and thank u to chef and person taking order, Love

I ordered through uber eats, ordered sliced chicken in pineapple, I'm 99% sure what is pictured is not sliced chicken in pineapple as you will see, the other item I ordered was the sweet and sour chicken balls, that was the right item but the balls were that greasy the grease was leaking through the bag, heart failure waiting to happen there, had to just cut around the batter and eat the chicken meat inside instead, wasted dinner, ruined evening, leaving this review here as a note to self to remind myself to never reorder from here again.

We ordered their Singapore Noodles Fried Rice with Sweet and Sour Chicken and Crispy Beef! Upon placing the order, the food arrived alarmingly quick and that was an immediate red flag. It seemed that the order was microwaved and not prepared fresh. I have never had Singapore noodles with the large amount of curry powder in it- it was more like 'curried noodles' instead of the traditional Singapore noodles dish. The fried rice was not great and was white in colour therefore, lacked the signature soy sauce colour to it. You can get much better quality at a proper Chinese restaurant because this was not worth the nearly £50 we paid for it! Never again!

My favourite chinese spot ever!. I love the food and the service is always good, the lady is so kind. the food is always a 10/10 their salt and pepper spare ribs are the best, i 100% recommended.

Good menu with lots of choices.

I hadn't eaten bought in Chinese food for over three years mainly because I got a bit addicted to eating it quite a bit, and I needed to get fit and watch what I ate. The meal from this unassuming take away restaurant was very nice and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from them again in the near future. The food was very tasty and I enjoyed it tremendously.

Over 2 hours from ordering, 2 phone calls to them and told they would phone me back and 25 mins later still no call back and no food - avoid at all costs as they don't deliver

Food was nice my daughter enjoyed it very much I can only give 4 starts as my taste buds are up and down due to preg. But I will definitely buy again

Searched for "gluten free Chinese takeaway" and this one appeared. Checked their website and they say you can ask for allergy advice and find out more. But when we asked, there were no gluten free dishes and they claim that the website is showing info for a different store. Very misleading.

I used this takeaway for the first time yesterday. The food comes in very generous portions and was tasty. I prefer my prawn toast on thinner bread and with chopped water chestnut, but it was still good. The fried seaweed had dried scallops, which I love; not all takeaways add the scallops. The duck in plum sauce was also good although, next time, I shall try the roast duck. I found the service to be very good and the woman behind the counter was lovely, very friendly and helpful; she found a pair of chopsticks for me, nicer than the usual throwaway ones and opened the door (I'm disabled). I will definitely return.

Tasty Chinese food , delivery can take around an hour but its well worth the wait

I don’t know why this only has 3.6 rating ,this is the best Chinese I have ever had ,it is consistent and for a takeaway and delivery place in Dagenham ,what do you want? Five stars from me and the boss!

appalling service just got worse, despite the food being just under okish, i've been a regular customer over the last few months of rotating my support to local businesses, but after tonight, i will no longer be visiting this shop or ordering from it ever again. my advice to the business owners is to teach the staff what is legal and not legal(starting with what money not to refuse) my advice to customers if you still want to shop here, if you are not in a hurry, i sujest you take your ripped up money here, if they refuse to take it, report this to police and trading standard, because it is unlawful to refuse legal tender in the UK issued by the bank of England or bank of Scotland. am really trying not to vent my full anger here, yes this is me being nice

Alright food, have been ordering from here for almost 10 years but bad delivery and planning everytime. I live literally 2 minutes away by car and 5 mins by walking from the shop. But for some reason my food took forever to reach my house in my last order. The reasoning i was given was that an order was placed before mine and they lived over 10 minutes away which for some reason they felt that they had to deliver the food to that person first then to my house over 20 minutes after sending the food out. It just did not make sense. My takeaway bag was dripping with condensation, my spring rolls were soft and wet and the food was luke warm. Terrible delivery and i am not ordering from them again. They clearly do not know how to plan their deliveries. I received my order 70 minutes after ordering.

Ordered a chicken Chow Mein from here and it was so tasteless- can’t believe it. I’ve had Chinese food for years and from so many different restaurants and omg never tasted as rank as this. First time I’m ever giving a bad review somewhere for food but this was too horrible not to write a review. Sorry guys but you need to step up your chef techniques! Reply to managers comment- Thanks for the response. Well the meat and the noodles were both tasteless and lacked flavour of normal Chow Mein. I had to re fry it and add more flavours to even get it to be eatable. Plus it was for my four year old daughter who generally loves noodles but even she complained she didn’t like it. Thanks for passing it on to the chef maybe they will consider changing their techniques now!

Worse customer service I've experienced in a long time. Called to find out if there were any food options with no milk and got " no sorry yeah" followed by female hanging up the phone.

DO NOT USE!!!! Really disapponted with the level of service I got via Uber Eats. Very poor customer service, shocking attitude. There are superior places in this area. This is one to avoid

I placed a small order at 6pm on a Monday, not exactly prime take away time so thought it wouldn't take too long to arrive. I was told 45 mins which is usually the standard wait. But after and hour and 20 mins I still hadn't received my order. I called Hungry house as that's who I ordered through and was told 10 mins and it would be with me. Another 30 mins passed and still no order. So after calling for a second time I was put through to the restaurant who basically said they had no idea what had happened to my order as it left them 35 mins earlier. I then had to call hungry house back for a refund as god knows how long it would of taken them to redo my small simple order again. Very bad service from both parties here, won't be using either again.

I always use this restaurant but from today never again. I ordered food and l was told I will be delivered in 45 minuets I contacted them after 1hr 30mins was told food will be delivered in less than 10mins, 2hrs later no food is delivered I contacted the shop no body was picking my phones up

Price and taste of food is uncompeteable

Me encanta la comida, pero eso no es lo que la influencia de mi clasificación. Que pedimos desde este lugar dos veces, y disfrutamos de la comida cada vez. Sin embargo, con la segunda vez, el conductor de la entrega dijo que estábamos fuera de su rango de entrega (no nos) así tendría que pagar para la entrega en la fecha de llegada. Nos dijeron que quieren mantener a sus clientes contentos, pero sólo aquellos dentro de su rango de entrega. . . . . Obviamente esto me puso de mal humor incluso antes de que entregan. . . Me dijeron que el conductor en el teléfono que yo había ido a los mapas de Google y no eran tan lejos como creía, pero él insistió en que era demasiado lejos. Una vez que llegó, él entregó la comida, dijo disfrutar y a la izquierda. . . . . . .

We use this Chinese every Saturday night never had a bad Chinese from them delivery is quick if ordered before 6pm after can take a little while but food as always been good

Ordered from here before but last night we waited over an hour for food when it came was all completely cold so had to be reheated when I called them they offered me a refund then called me an hour later saying They wanted all the food back and I couldn't have a refund as I reheated the food and ate it will not be using these again!!

have used several times. different dishes some better than others. however after tonight's experience i wont be using them again. after sending an incorrect dish (prawns instead of chicken could have been serious consequences), we telephoned an were told that they were to busy to send out the correct one, as the rest of my meal (not much of one without the main dish) would be cold by the time it arrived. they would deduct it from our next order, said this wasn't acceptable they could send our refund with a delivery driver, the phone was just put down. that was over an hour ago so I'm clearly not getting my refund because i wont be ordering from them again.
