Had lunch there with my son Really good dim sum, so good we got some to takeaway, would definitely recommend. There was also parking spaces at the side of the restaurant.

Great food, great service. Really enjoy our meal here.

I’ve been here for dinner for the first time after my sister recommended to give it a try. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived and I was already doubting about the food. We ordered a steamed sea bass, a baked king prawns with salt and chili, a beef in black pepper sauce, a fried rice, two soups and a side dish. The food was quite good and so the quality of the ingredients. I really liked the beef and the king prawns. Service was friendly and the bill was fair considering what we had. I’ll come to try the dim sum next time

Avoid this restaurant !!!!!!!!! Over the last couple of months I have been to this place we have the same food all the time and drinks and it is always around £60. We was there today and there is this one guy who works in there with funny colour hair and when he’s in there, your bill is always more expensive like once before it was £75 and today it was £75 for the same food and the same drinks when I approached him and ask him about this he didn’t want to know anything about it and told me the bill was correct, so I just paid it as Iam not hard up for £15, His attitude stinks,,,,, also the service charge you have to pay it because if you don’t they spit there dummy out. Food is very average. The staff are that rude it’s unbelievable, I have never seen it as rude as staff in a food place in my life. They have no time for their customers even down to when you’re ordering your food, they walk away halfway through and attend to somebody else you have to ask them twice for everything you want a complete shambles. The only reason why I haven’t been to this food place for is as it is always quiet and there is nobody in it so you are guaranteed to get a table but now I can understand why no one uses it because of the rude staff and the overcharging of their prices £10 for boiled rice it is ridiculous avoid !! Also there not very kid friendly !!

Best place for dimsum so far! I've told people that I would love to have their charsiu cheongfun as my last dish on earth.

Highly recommended. It's probably the best Dim Sum Restaurant in Glasgow. Great food at a reasonable price considering the large portion sizes. Toilets immaculately clean. Park for free just outside the LEZ and walk in the last few hundred metres through and under the M8 building site!

The product is good, so business is pretty good. At two o'clock on Sunday, the booth is packed and all seats are occupied.

The food is normal. Waiter service was very bad! When pass by after few times kicking the chair also didn’t take note it was disturbing us. Last but not least, when he took the chair to another table, there is no apology for scratching my coat. Very poor service!

Service very good and attentive. Service wasn't overbearing or awkward. The flavour of the food on this visit was excellent. Relatives are all in catering industry and were very expressive about the flavours.

Always bustling, good service, and top notch dim sum. Xiu mai is so meaty and tasty, crab and scallop dumplings are a revelation.

Authentic Guangdong Dim Sum are being served here, good seasoned and tasty. Ingredients are all very well prepared and all of them are freshly made. The deep fried food are all delicious and crispy. The stir fried noodles are scrumptious, while the noodles are crispy and the source are just complimenting it perfectly. Variety is wide too. If u know how to order, can order things that are out of the menu too. The service is really quick here and attentive. A great place to eat Chinese food. Best to make booking.

Great food! The size of the dim sum was very good. The hor fun was very delicious and filling! The service was great, our waiters were very efficient.

The food got better but the service is still not the best. Waited so long to get the bill and tea refill and there is a mandatory 5 % service charge which is usually how much I tip but how much I tip depend on the service provided on the day.

Value of money and good food for a cantonese!

Great place to have traditional Chinese food. Parking a bit of a hassle to to get to due to Glasgow roadworks but restaurant is worth visiting . Will be coming back on next trip

Great Restaurant! Awesome service. I ordered noodles soup with prawn dumplings and got a huge meal, Scottish size, great experience. Afterwards I got some really good Chinese tea. Definitely visiting again in the future. The design in the restaurant is very simple, the staff is genuinely Chinese. Definitely worth a visit and leaving a tip. Make sure you have cash on you.

Wayyyy too expensive! £18.5 for sweet and sour pork! And another £6 for noodles!! You end up paying £30 for a drink and a main! I have never seen such tariffs even in London City centre!

Fantastic authentic menu. Don't expect your usual take away items. This is real Chinese cooking.

We visited this place over Easter and were shocked at how expensive it was. Main courses on average are £20-22! We paid £6 for a side of egg noodles! I mean, the food is nice but nothing special. It’s certainly not worth the price. It's not a fancy restaurant in a posh part of town so I don’t understand the crazy prices. The place was quite busy with Chinese people eating. I would be very surprised if they were paying the same as we were for the food.

We had lunch and dinner. It seems to be the only restaurant in centre of Glasgow. Very busy so you should get in early or book. The portions were reasonable and good size.

I started appreciating this place after having been to Ho Wong. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Glasgow since they changed owner circa 2018. All Dim Sums are good (more options on Sun-Tue), Lobster with crispy noodles and Tong Choi (vegetable) are my favourites! Staff is friendly as well. Overall, 5 out of 5!

Terrible food - AVOID THIS PLACE FOR TAKEAWAY! Been coming to this place for a long time and generally very decent sitting in food served. Decided to have a takeaway with family this evening and what we got was over-priced, sloppy, cold, poor portioned, taste-less food. Did not expect this from this establishment. They also insisted on taking an extra portion of a dish to which we agreed - its a complete money making business and no genuine care for ingredients or food quality. Also all food served in tupperware that was packaged together with cling film in the most flimsy fashion - no proper serving vessel. Absolutely appalled by quality, service and portion sizes from this restaurant! DO NOT GET TAKEAWAY FROM HERE…ever!!!

Reasonably priced with generous portion. Authentic Cantonese cuisine. The dim sum are relatively good (of course you can't compare with those available in Asia). Full house on Saturday afternoon in September. Will come back again.

The best place for dim sum in Glasgow. They make their ho fun noodles in-house and they are to die-for. Service is rapid and Maria is great hostess. Incredibly busy during lunch so get there early.

I’ve been to many chinese restaurants in the UK, and this one is ‘the’ most authentic Cantonese cuisine I’ve ever had. Their portions are big, ingredients are fresh, they were incredibly busy when we ate there yet the service was still excellent, the staffs were polite and patient and the owner was very friendly. Their chefs start making dim sum from 7am, so their dim sums are all freshly made, unlike a lot of restaurants in London’s Chinatown, they buy their dim sums in chinese supermarkets. I highly recommend this Cantonese based chinese restaurant if you come to Glasgow, you won’t be disappointed. Oh, and there’s free parking outside the restaurant too, so, it’s super convenient. 👍

This restaurant is in my humble opinion the best Chinese restaurant in Glasgow, my wife and I visited on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy with lots of Chinese families dining . Which to me indicates a good restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was too. We will certainly be paying a visit next time we are home to Glasgow well worth a visit. Tom Burke.

Quick service and very nice staff. Food was very tasty- especially the calamari, turnip paste and yellow bun. Great portion too & good family place to share food. The bakery is lovely too with a lot of variety & freshly baked Chinese desserts. Highly recommended!

Hidden Gem in Glasgow, it may be tucked under the motorway, but when inside you treated to a full Cantonese dining hall experience, with great menu and excellent tasting dishes. Great service, lots of tea very fun place for a celebration meal.

Authentic Chinese food and consistently good every time we visit.

This is a grand old Chinese Restaurant in the old style. It's a triumph of Oriental art deco. Check out those chandeliers! When we visited, on a Monday night, it was almost empty, but the food was tremendous! Two dishes, the fishy aubergine and szechuan numbing chicken were exceptional. We regularly order these in other restaurants, but the standard here was way higher. The chicken dish was cooked on the bone, but it really does make a difference flavour wise and it's worth the trouble of spitting out a few bits of bone to taste it. A word of caution on the chillies, though, they use dried bird eye chillies rather than the milder Chinese ones we are used to. Don't eat them! Ma po tofu was also very good, as was the other tofu dish (fried with shrimp paste) we tried. The squid with salted egg yolk was perhaps a little under-seasoned, but maybe this was relative to the more robust flavours in the other dishes. The portions were very generous - five dishes shared four ways was too much. You could eat well on three between four and still have something left. The staff were really helpful and friendly (they told us we had ordered too much!). Highly recommended if you know Cantonese food. Highly recommended if you don't.

Few restaurants compel me to return on consecutive trips to a city. As well as the dim sum staples, this time we explored the Peking duck. The duck was a half, crispy skin and meat separated just like the way you’d get it in Beijing. Rather pleasantly surprised as the quality and taste was comparable to the likes of Da Dong in Beijing, minus the flash presentation. What to try next time?

Had a takeaway, was nice but only thing was the container they use was wrong, sauce was leaking. They should change tin foil to the microwave plastic container to hold the sauces.

Food was great (beef XO ho fun esp) and staff friendly and efficient. But... cash only??? Found another review from 2020 that the management responded to in May 2021 to say the credit card machine was not working “on that day”. Must be terrible fault with this card machine as it was still not working today (in Jan 2022). Nearest cash point 10mins away so a total pain in the ass to go to in the rain. Anyway, worth it as meal was great in the end.

I ate here last night and enjoyed a brilliant meal . Arrived at 9 pm and recieved excellent service. Dim sum was .superb followed by chicken with spring onion and ginger. Great service ang good value

Been here many times over the years and never disappointed. Last night went here for my birthday with my family and the food was amazing and the staff are all very friendly.

I've always enjoyed coming to Chinatown Restaurant as it still holds some of the old Chinese restaurant ambiance! If the Chinese go to the Chinese Restaurant, you can bet your bottom it won't be bad!

Very fresh seafood cooked authentically. We ordered some dim sum, lobster noodles, Choy sum and tofu. Lobster noodles are comparable if not better than what you get in Queensway London restaurants like Mandarin kitchen. I think this is due to the fresh seafood they can get. Really helpful and friendly staff. It was full for lunch on a Monday and def worth a visit if you are in the area

Wonderful lunch here with the in laws and Dad. Traditional dim sum can't be beaten supplemented with a rice dish and crispy chow main noodles. Good size portions too, whereas other places seem to be reducing portion size, Chinatown portions are plentiful for sharing.

EVERYTHING IS OK BUT HAVING A SIM SUM LUNCH IS VERY EXPENSIVE! ONE OF THE THREE ASSORTMENT ROAST MEAT NOODLES VERY GREASE, A LOT OF OIL ON THE PLATE! THE CHEF PUT TOO MUCH OIL TO COOK! NOT CARE CUSTOMER HEALTH!

First visit since new owners and lockdown over and wasn't impressed, went in with an open mind but the drinks where hot and they seemed shocked when we asked for ice for my wine, you should not have to put ice in bottled beer too, they looked at us as if we where from outerspace when we stated the drinks where warm, who wants warm drinks with food?there is definitely a communication barrier, we had mussels to start and prawn and chive dim sum, mussels where like rubber, in my opinion frozen the dim sum was lovely then fillet of beef Chinese style and salt and chilli scallops for the main both these dishes where absolutely delicious cooked to perfection but no one asked us if the food was good or if we enjoyed our meal, good food but the staff and the drinks let this place down for me will not be returning not a good vibe or ambience
