Order arrived late and gave us partially the wrong order! Doesn't even taste nice... probably left overs from the afternoon buffet

The buffet lunch is always fresh and tasty, the dishes always seem to be the same - personally I'd prefer a little more variety which would possibly make me come back more often, however this should not detract from the fact that there are already about 12 to 16 hot dishes to choose from including starters and mains. Hat's off to the restaurant and its staff, the food is all delicious and I always eat a little bit more than I should!

Chicken fried rice was boiled rice with peas and chicken and had no flavour! The veg chow main was again boiled noodles with some veg chucked on top not mixed through. The Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken was a bit lacking in sweet and sour. Overall a disgusting Chinese and I would never order from here again or recommend anyone else does

Was completely empty on tues 29th in the evening at 6pm. The evening buffet was 23 pound person. We did not enter.

I could have walked down, cooked the dinner myself and walked back quicker than it took to make this delivery. Nearly 90 minutes! A joke.

Went for a Birthday meal on a Wednesday evening. All you can eat for £22. Place was cold and had to ask for heating to be turned on. Only a few in. Food came really quick as if it had been warmed up??? Staff looking at us all evening? For 5 of us with one round of drinks bill was £135, not cheap. At aboout 2am the next morning my wife became very ill and was up all night with sickness. Food must have been microwaved and she feel ill. Not going back.

If I could give this place zero stars then I would. Had a meal on the buffet menu in June of this year . The meal seemed ok until I ordered the satay chicken. I had one bite and decided to leave the rest as it tasted really bitter. I didn’t say anything as the rest was ok. Within 2 hours of being in my hotel I proceeded to chuck my guts up all night. I had nothing else to eat that day so it could only have been the food eaten at this restaurant. Unless you want food poisoning I would avoid this restaurant at all cost. I don’t usually write negative reviews but I felt others should be aware

We live local but haven't been here for a long time. We decided to go for their lunchtime buffet which costs £12 at the weekends. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and lots of options.

Better than expected , lovely food lovely staff, would suit big eaters as there is so much food to have . lovely crispy duck was my favorite.

Enjoyed a lunch time all you can eat buffer meal here. The staff kept refilling and refreshing dishes and there was plenty of choices. This also included ice cream and Victoria sponge for desert. Good value for money.

We have dined here many times, always good food and service. Last night was the exception. We were given hot plates but the service was so awful they were cold before we got our food.. Our starters came in a random fashion, one of us had his spare ribs and was the only one eating, he had finished long before any of us got even the smallest starter. The people behind is made a huge fuss and had their whole meal served very quickly.. The staff were nice to us but didnt seem to have a lot of idea what the food was or why the plates came hot half an hour before the food, by which time they were cold.. An experience really spoiled and we didnt get any explanation. Perhaps there should be more chefs.....

Spent over £170 on a delivery for 17 people and didn’t even get one free bag of prawn crackers. You get them free with almost any Chinese delivery. Food at best average. And we are sure some was from the lunch time Buffett. Won’t be ordering from there again for our functions.

Food was good, lots of choice. All you can eat is ok if you have a big appetite. The service was a bit chaotic. Not a brilliant experience.

Visited as a group for a celebration on a Friday evening. The restaurant was empty and remained that way the entire evening so there was zero atmosphere… to the point the staff were stood around constantly watching us eating which is a put off in itself! For the price of the evening buffet, I felt was pretty steep, unless you truly can eat your way through the majority of the menu! The starters were average. From other members in the party the ribs were tasty. However, the chicken satay had been deep fried to an inch of its life, so it may have been hot, but totally over cooked. The deep fried breaded prawns were again over cooked. And unfortunately the peanut dip was tasteless and runny and no sweet chilli dip insight for the other starters. We then had the crispy duck. Well there was nothing crispy about this. The duck had not been shredded up and it was extremely fatty, so mainly inedible and lots left on the plate. The majority of mains were ok. On the whole not the best experience, and I would not rush back. However, compared to the Chichester branch, at least here the food was hot and cooked!

Love this place. All you can eat menu 😋 at currently £22 per person Mon to Thurs, £23 Fri to Sun ....Just keep ordering off the menu and it's all cooked fresh to order not in buffet style. Food hot, fresh and delicious. Really good choice including vegetarian options. Good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks.

Very accommodating, a party of 7 we were let down on a booking at the last minute. A phone call was made to the China Royal and a table was made available for us. Staff very helpful. Will go there again.

Today I've been to this place with my dad for latw lunch on our trip. The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, tasty and presented really nice. Staffs were nice and helpful as well as smiling all the time providing great customer service. Overall amazed with this place.

My parents & I ordered a takeaway last Saturday. We had the £31 meal for 2,some prawn crackers & a chow mein dish. Plenty of food for us! Although it was delivered 15 minutes later than expected,the food was hot,& really good. I suggest that if you want food to be delivered at a certain time,order at least 2 hours in advance. Also,it would be great if prawn crackers were included in the set meal offers.

Had 3 deliverys as now living in Shripney.. Amasing food.. Long wait, but it proves its popularity and well worth it. Im a lover of seafood and the salt and chilli squid is out of this world. Lots of all the nice bits in their special fried rice too. Thank you China royal 😀😀😀

Ordered through Just Eat a takeaway for collection. Easy enough to order as I already have a Just Eat account. Just ordered 3 mains with noodles. Was ready in 18 mins. Just had enough time to get from North Bersted to Bognor to collect. Arrived & showed them my text that my food was ready. Food was hot. I delivered myself to 2 separate family households. Was told food was tasty & generous portions. Due to covid, haven't been inside this Chinese in ages, but would definitely have takeaway again. Edit: actually went in here to eat last week, Tuesday I think, with 1 other adult & 1 kid. Booked table old style by phone call!!!! Clean. Air con. Once seated you choose from a menu all you can eat for £22 per adult, £10.50 per child under 8. One portion prawn crackers included. Drinks not included. You order one course at a time,once you've finished say your starter, you order your main(s), & so on. The portions are a decent size, especially starters (we had chicken satay, came as 4 skewers, prawn toast, again 4 triangles, crispy spring rolls, again 4). Mains I'd say are a bit smaller portions than if you ordered a takeaway, I'm assuming so that there's no waste perhaps, as you can order more if you choose once you finish. Drinks bit pricey, but aren't they always these days. Puds are pre made ice cream things (I had "Pina colada" in a glass, pineapple, coconut, ice cream & g'son had vanilla ice cream in a plastic "penguin" which they washed after so we could take home, glass too). Food yummy as ever. Don't go if you've eaten already that day! Luckily we hadn't! Staff lovely & quick to clear table. Only 3 other tables occupied, didn't feel squashed together re covid although we were in same area. Will return.

This takeaway has gone down hill I am sad to say. Earlier in the year the food delivered was really lovely. This time it was awful - Chicken in black bean sauce was totally tasteless. Mixed vegetable dish also totally bland. Spring rolls full of tasteless mush. Won't be ordering again.

Was on holiday down in bognor and fancied a Chinese. A friend recommended this one and I'm glad they did. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food tasted great. The portion sizes are good and the kids loved it so there are no complaints from me. Great way to end our holiday.

We went for the buffet menu at £22 which is the only option for dinner. Although no buffet is out you get to order what ever you want from the very good menu. There is no time limit to your visit and I could have sat all night just eating prawn toast and bbq ribs🤪 I highly recommend. The staff are super nice too

Normally top quality and dare I say the best around, except for tonight's order. Arrived on time but quality was poor, the chips were cold and chewy like they had been reheated several times and the rice had an unpleasant after taste. Definitely not up to the usual standard and was a shame as was really looking forward to it as haven't had a Chinese in a while, especially as prices have gone up alot. May be time to try another place

Very nice food. Not a huge display but this was a Thursday lunch time and could look different weekends, but regularly topped up, cooked and flavoured well. Spare ribs the best we’ve ever tasted. Worth the drive from Selsey.

The best spare ribs I’ve ever had! Fantastic service! We were a walk in party of 4 plus a baby and they were so nice, really made us feel welcome. The food was gorgeous- we all had the buffet and we could have eaten the whole menu, it all sounded so good. Settled on a few dishes and loved every bite! Highly recommend the mixed starter and the mixed chow mein.

Food came quickly but what arrived was awful. I think they were reduced to using mixed veg from Iceland which is literally across the road from them. King prawn in spicy king po with crispy veg I don’t think so. Chicken in black bean with green pepper bland and grey not black pepper. Awful won’t order again

Amazing food friendly staff brilliant experience

Took my order for delivery, then after a long push to make me pay CASH 🤔 which i didn't have, they took my debit card and collected payment. After taking payment they said they're not giving my order because my card doesn't match my delivery postcode. I wanted the driver to bring a card machine but wasn't possible. They cancelled my order and I didn't receive my funds back of £21.20. (Edit: I did finally receive back 5 days later) But I was shocked that, as a regular customer, why couldn't they see I order from them to my address regularly and I'm clearly not trying to steal someone's card. I pay with the same card via Just Eat every time. The only difference, this time I called them directly to save on the Just Eat fees for us both. And the reason I'd even needed to call is because their website checkout is BROKEN and boots you back to menu with empty an cart every time. Didn't offer an alternative either (like taking my CORRECT billing postcode), they just cancelled my order. So if you pay by card and you're at a friend's, parents, relatives house they'll take your payment then cancel your order. They never asked for my billing postcode which I would have provided. With the poor service and unhelpful attitudes it will be the last time I buy from here - I should never have strayed away from Jasmine House. They're more expensive, but much better quality food so I'd rather pay that little extra for good service and better food. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say, although this place isn't that cheap, I think the food is overpriced for the quality

Tried this Chinese restaurant on recommendation of someone I met in Bognor the other week,pleasantly impressed after buying a curry and pancake rolls for less than £10 and great value for money,would definitely pass on recommendation.

Very disappointed that they charge a 12year old full price, when they eat less than an 8 year old .other than that it was good, kept topping up food while we were there All in all wasn't a bad foe lunch .

Group of 14 of us in there, food was mediocre at best then when it came to pay tried to charge us for 15 people. Total rip off. Don’t go here.

Was recommended to us by the Butlin’s staff as being the place that they all go to. We ended up having it twice in one week. The only thing we did not order on the second meal, was the ribs. They was very chewy and dry, with hardly any bbq sauce in them and unappetising to look at. Great comms re delivery just need to make sure that if you order for delivery after 8pm, the Butlin’s beach gate will be closed.

Didn’t taste like authentic Chinese food at all. The chicken used in the sweet and sour chicken balls had a strange taste to it. It wasn’t inedible, but it had a strange smell to it as well. Butterfly prawns were super dry and there were no sauces provided at all. Service felt a bit rushed. We went for the A la Carte menu, portions were good, but I’d not recommend if you’re looking for decent Chinese food. 👎🏼

Nothing special at all from the outside and the decor inside is rather dated hence 4 rather than 5 stars. However, the food and service more than make up for that. All you can eat for £22 if you're hungry. Between our party we tried most of them and could find no fault at all. I think we nearly ate them out of King prawns and duck! Some of the best quality Chinese cooking we have had in a long time.

Excellent service but I’ve ordered a starter a main the main meal came while i was eating my soup which normally comes straight after my starter, and rushed me to order desert while i wanted to look at the menu. Must of getting a big group of people coming in later. But overall very nice meal

What is it with the staff in here, they line up like angry nightclub door staff if you make the mistake of walking in. They always seem generally irritated at your presence. We ordered drinks and pressed to order immediately before even picking up a menu. After saying we'd like a minute, we were snappily informed that they close at 10.30. This was at 9.30. They stand around watching you like a hawk, and if you dare try and order more than one starter or main they treat you like a criminal. Bear in mind, the mains are served on a tiny side plate - so we are not in the slightest bit the greedy type. 4 sweet and sour balls and a small dish for the sauce being a main for example. This place is fine if you have a thick skin and you can ignore the obvious disdain for the customer. Food is bang average but I imagine will be popular with those with a large appetite. Miserable and intimidating experience, did find it amusing that our allocated bouncer was actually wearing an Adidas tracksuit top. I'm sure they used to have a nice smart uniform once?

Came here as we are not open on resort apart from breakfast and lunch. I didn’t realise you have to book in advance but I managed to get a table as I’m on my own. Food was excellent. Service was excellent too keeping safe distance from customers. Plenty of rice but not a lot of duck and orange but still good food.

Went here for the all you can eat buffet and we weren't disapointed. The food was really nice, hot and quality ingredients. Service was good and pleassnt, the only thing I would say is don't be put off by the external look of the restaurant it doesn't look great but like I said the food was amazing and service just as good. Ordered meal for 2 online - very easy to do with a wide choice of dishes. Delivered in reasonable time in keep hot bag. Plentiful amount, indeed enough for a second meal. Very good quality, thoroughly enjoyed it, will certainly order again. Recommend to try without hesitation. Our favourite...until now!! First, advertised meal at £29.50, then charged £30.60. Second, then charged 10p for a bag with no warning. Third, ordered for 7.30 pm but arrived at 5.30 while we were out. After terse phone call, meal eventually arrived at correct time BUT it had been reheated, even the cucumber and spring onions were warm! Some of it dry, some some soggy, very poor indeed. No apology. NOT GOING BACK
