Our server Natalie was excellent, she couldn’t have been more helpful. Polite, talkative, happy and kept us up to date throughout our time there. Food was excellent, however, my only criticism is, the food could have been warmer. My husband sent his steak back as it was so Luke warm, the butter didn’t even melt. Sadly it appeared to make little difference as it was still only just warm. We will definitely eat with Miller & Carter again as we really enjoyed the whole experience. Thankyou Natalie for being so lovely and attentive, you are a credit to the establishment.

Lovely experience. First time going here as always thought it was biggest up and you can't really go wrong with steak. But it was really nice and would go again. The building is gorgeous and lovely outside seating In warmer weather. Their onion loafs are delicious 😋

Nikki, our fantastic host guided us through our date night with the elegance of a ballerina. We opted for prawns and calamari as starters. A great choice. Followed by the chateau, medium rare with a beautiful assortment of sides and the lobster tail which was gorgeous - sweet, succulent and delectable. We didn’t stay for dessert as we’re off for cocktails but a big thank you to the Plymouth M&C steakhouse staff for everything from kitchen to table.

Nikki was great! She was so lovely and really knew what she was doing! We are ex front of house/hospitality and we really appreciated everything. The food was great too but Nikkei was that extra step.

Unfortunately we found the food here very disappointing. We went for lunch with family. We waited a long time for drinks at the bar. We were on the only people in there at this point so no excuse. Food was dry and clearly reheated by microwave. Everything was overcooked that hadn't been microwaved. We all had apple pie for dessert and it was no better than a Mr Kipling but much more expensive. We expected a good standard of food but it was no better than a Beefeater on a bad day. The waitress was lovely and clearly had too many tables to attend but she did her best. We wouldn't eat here again.

Ordered from the lunch menu which had a good choice of meals and at a good price! Liz, our table server, was very pleasant and helpful. Everyone had a really tasty and enjoyable meal.

Whole experience from start to finish was delightful. Our server was extremely efficient, pleasant and very helpful. Food was delicious and certainly generous in portion sizes, whilst remaining fairly reasonable in cost. I would say your drinks are quite expensive compared to others.

A superb meal. Eva L was our waitress who was friendly, efficient and professional in delivering a fine dining experience which serves to reflect the high standards for which this restaurant has clearly built it's reputation on.

We was looked after by Nikki throughout our wonderful meal. Her service was beyond excellent. We stated that my girlfriend was pregnant and asked for the lamb to be well done. We did feel bad having to send it back because it still was pink but Nikki was very understanding and we had our meal corrected very quickly. She was also one of those waiters that made you feel as if you was family. Food was brilliantly served aswell! I hope this message gets back to you.

Celebration of my sons Passing out at Raleigh. It was 8pm Saturday night and very busy. There was 8 of us seated upstairs. Giles was our attentive server. It was great and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

What a poor place as far as service is concerned, two items that we ordered were totally different to what we had. Approached a poorly dressed manager and he really couldn’t give a damn. Couldn’t give an explanation!!! We certainly will not return.

The food was lovely and chefs did an great job! We had a late meal so was expecting to be caught up at closing. Our server was amazing and tended to us very well. However, the other girls on shift were gossiping around the bar. Not the best language used and definitely not what we wanted to hear whilst finishing up our meal.

Fantastic evening A rare occasion for us getting out together however what fantastic service we have received from Eva Polite and great service Checked on us a couple of times but not over the top like some places The food was lush as we enjoyed a sharing dish Thank you Eva. First time in a Miller and Carter restaurant, my wife and I really enjoyed our meal. We had the butcher’s block. All Steaks were cooks too perfection. Jess was our waitress from the Plymouth restaurant. We experienced excellent service throughout our time there she was very professional pleasant.

We had a wonderful evening. Paul was very attentive and entertained us throughout our evening. The food was amazing and the quality was excellent.

We had the pleasure of Jimmy serving us dinner, it was his first official shift. Jimmy was pleasant and attentive and had a great sense of humour. As always the food was top notch, this restaurant always gives a great vibe of an air being posh too we had a family with a small baby that screamed a lot so slightly spoilt ambience but would not hesitate to go back. I’m sure Jimmy will flourish in his role and can’t wait to see him again when we visit

Very pricey meal but cooked to perfection you have a very talented chef. Service was great. As we were leaving about 915 pm the heavens opened so we decided to stay for another drink waiting for it to clear. The young lady managing the bar then said it was last orders at the bar 930pm and then went about cleaning down all of the tables around us. We felt about as welcome as a fart in a lift so we drank up and left. It rather spoiled our pretty expensive meal out though.

First ever time at miller&carter and it was for a birthday meal with my wife. Pros… Fantastic starters (scallops with apple purée) Fantastic mains (sirloin steak with beef dripping sauce and chunky chips) literally the best steak I’ve tasted!! Wife had the lamb which was also fantastic. desserts (fluffy cheesecake was very creamy and fluffy) also had the chocolate orange bomb with some cocktails. Great atmosphere. Wonderful friendly waitress. Cons… The only negative feedback I have from my experience last night was the time for each course, was a very slow service. Table booked at 7pm Starters arrived 8pm Mains arrived 8:40pm Desserts arrived 9:15pm Received bill at 9:40pm Just felt like we waiting a long time throughout the whole night.

Both our servers Molly and Jimmy (who was training) were really friendly and welcoming. Fantastic customer service from both. It was my first time at Miller & Carter and I’ll 100% be coming back!

I was at Miller and Carter with 5 of my friends and we were served by Molly and Jimmy (James Monroe). Molly was so lovely, she was always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Jimmy was amazing, he was so polite and professional and had a lovely spirit about him. The food was beautiful, would happily come again!
