China at Lee's in New Forest

Having just moved into the area, we were wanting a Takeaway for our first meal in the new house! China at Lees is only a few minutes away, so this seemed a suitable option. We did an on-line order for collection, a process that was easy to do by selecting your meal options. By the time I got there (probably 30-45 minutes-ish), everything was ready and waiting. Back at home, everyone was happy with their food. Great service.

China at Lee’s is a good place to get a tasty Chinese takeaway local to the town centre. With easy access and reasonably priced items I would highly recommend this Chinese chain to any passers by or locals, wishing to enjoy a stressfree meal.

On line ordering system is excellent. Collection was on time. Food was delicious and very tasty. Highly recommend. Grandchildren loved the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken fried rice

Have been going here for years, but won't be going again. Food was awful. Had Crispy duck and it was hardly edible, extremely overcooked, and the rest of our order was tasteless.

We always have a shared meal for two but sorry to say no more. The prawn toast was over cooked and fatty, the ribs were over cooked and burnt the spring rolls were greasy in fact the whole dish was not to their usual standard. Considering they have just put it up by £1 very disappointing

Really disappointed with the meat and shrimp dishes there was nothing just noodles and rice I spent 62 pounds please don't waste your money on this takeaway.

Well, what can I say, normally brilliant but tonight an absolute disappointment Dry , dry , dreadful Satay with no peanut sauce , Speak to them , no solution . not a clue !, Wednesday is not a good night ,loyal customer , next time we’re going to look elsewhere .

Ordered online and the delivery was within 15 minutes. Had pancake rolls, duck chow mein and rice. Food was lovely and hot. Will definetly be ordering again soon

Ordered food for collection, got stuck in traffic and they called me to say it was ready. Food was good but not sure about salt and chilli chips served in a plastic container. Definitely use again but no chips

Ordered food at 6.30pm, was told it would be 30 to 45 minutes delivery. Hour and a half later we’re still waiting! This isn’t the first time it’s happened. Terrible delivery service!! And all but 2 hours later we’re still waiting. Asked for a refund. Was told food or refund, not both. And food still hasn’t arrived!

Been ordering for years but however now since new ownership I Wouldn’t waste your money portions have been cut to less than half of the normal size And as it turns out all there meals are precooked and microwaved to order Which would explain why I got food poisoning AVOID

We had a lovely take out meal, but watch the carpark 20 minutes only or you will get a fine

Good food, not once been let down real old school cooking. pancake rolls home made, friendly staff a must worth a visit.

You must pre-order food if you’re collecting. The parking area in front of China at Lees is not public but private (Britannia Parking), something that’s not obvious. We stopped, ordered and waited for our food (which was very good) thinking nothing more of it. Couple of weeks later we got a PCN through the post saying we had overstayed in the car park even though all we had done was wait for our order to be cooked. We appealed to no avail. Indirectly this made it the most expensive Chinese takeaway I have ever had! Not directly the restaurant’s fault but it would be great if they provided a warning to unsuspecting customers particularly if they know it’s going to take longer to prepare the order than the permitted parking time.

Really good takeaway, very fresh and very tasty. Some of the best chicken balls I’ve had. Chunks of chicken, not little cubes, a perfect match with the sweet n sour sauce. All the dishes tasted great, even the spare ribs which get slating comments. If the owners read this I have to agree with others. You should change from the short, meatless under par ribs used. They do not reflect the quality of the other ingredients you use.

Visit new Milton for a holiday,first time using this place the guy help me a lot with the order delivery driver was fast and friendly, but the quality of the food just bad everything burned and hard as rocks

The guy I spoke to on the phone was very rude and made me feel like a nuisance. Not very good customer service

Hot and Sour soup - big portion and ok. Ribs in spicy salt and chilli - very small ribs, about 30mm long, Almost devoid of meat and VERY underdone. What a waste of money. Crispy Beef strips in "sweet and sour" sauce. Whatever this was, it certainly was not beef. Completely inedible ! What a disappointment and waste of money.

Great take away, foods good and reasonable price. I have always had consistency with this take away.

Best Chinese takeaway I've had for ages well worth a trip

Excellent food as usual, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was the best we’ve ever had. It was all really good although a bit more pricy than other local Chinese’s we would definitely return

Haven’t had a Chinese in so long, but this was delicious! The guy on the phone was very helpful when discussing portion sizes and there was still plenty left over for lunch the next day. Really great quality food, not too oily and a fantastic selection of dishes. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Have always rated this take away a cut above the rest but a birthday meal last night was decidedly average. Maybe it’s because it was a weekend and they were clearly busy but It was a seriously disappointing treat. The BBQ ribs came in a greasy sauce - lots of sauce but pretty average meatless ribs not improved by the liquid. The vegetable chow main was tasteless with chunks of hard broccoli - cooked from frozen? The duck was rubbery with a film of white and spongy skin - atop a bed of slimy bean sprouts and grey vegetables - looked and tasted unmemorable. Please, please return to the better days....

We have used Lees quite a few times. Always generous portions. Last night: If you ask for a pancake roll you get two large ones and they are really good. The singapore rice was really tasty as were the chicken balls.

Food was cold , waited 45minutes . Got a parking ticket as only half hour stop. Had to return as they missed part of the order

Ordered a really late takeaway from here after the take-away that was recommended to us refused to take our order although they were officially open. Lees food was piping hot and good. Soups were lovely and dumplings good but next time vinegar please?! All the mains were good and we were too full to eat the fritters! Lovely meal

After sitting in a hospital for some time after breaking a bone in my ankle we decided to have a small take away from Lee's. We considered it the very best in the area. We were so disappointed with the meal. I had meat and fish mixture with broccoli and carrot in oyster sauce. The sauce was far too watery, broccoli very much overboiled and was dripping with water. The meat was hard and the chicken was clearly preboiled and just mush. Our meat rolls were very greasy with the innards dripping with water again. My husband's meal was just sloppy and tasteless. What has happened to Lee's?

Been ordering many times over the years but quality going down. Couple last times ordered after 5pm and chicken in all dishes been like cooked 2 days ago and left standing with dried outside and dry inside with some weird after taste no matter is the chicken in curry or mango chicken what we got. King prawn in garlic sauce was like 7 prawns and rest just some weird batter in gely or something, terrible. But mainly its the not fresh chicken that ruins all. Never again after over 5 years ordering here.

poor weekend left overs on a monday

We normally stop of at lees while we are on holiday, We previously visited in may and the food was amazing probably the best chinese take away we have ever had.We placed an order for food on a monday night and to say we where disappointed would be an understatement. The hong kong chicken was clearly left overs from the weekend it was so chewy it was inedible. The prawn cracker stale and also old.On a whole i would say the chips had been cooked fresh and thats about it.We will not be visiting lees again and will be taking there menus out of our caravans and recommending people go elsewhere as £22 for left overs from the weekend is not acceptable.Its a real shame as like i say we would have recommended lees to anyone before looking at the recent reviews perhaps its gone under new management. Such a shame...

Everything is bland no taste whatsoever. wrong soup delivered chicken bears no resemblance to crab meat. chefs special was 3 quarters noodles and poor selection of any thing else. Singapore rice was more like couscous than rice stodgy bland and tasteless. Everything tasted oily and slimy. Delivery was well over the 45 minutes I was told.Have never been more disappointed in my life and will never recommend them again.

Just paid £23.0 for a meal for me and the wife had chicken chowmain it was hunt the chicken,and like eating dry cream crackers no sauce at all,also garlic chicken supposidly in batter which was raw,the garlic sauce well it was better than the leading wallpaper paste,will not be ordering from there ever again.

Just moved to the area and this was the first chinese we tried after looking at reviews. Food was bland generally - watery sweet and sour sauce. Smoked chicken (pur favourite dish normally)was dry lumps of chicken covered in sugar. Disappointed and expensive for what it was. Won't be ordering from here again.

We were a group of ten and we phoned the order through to collect. When we arrived it was ready and the food was all hot and delicious. It was our first visit and although were not local I would definitely visit next time were in the area

We have had 2 deliveries of meals in the last 2 weeks. The food was absolutely awesome, can't recommend it enough. Really quick delivery times too, both around 18:00 mind. Next time we visit this will be THE go to place for a takeaway.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to the Hoburne Bashley site. Delivery was on time, the food was very nice most of us opted for a curry of some sort. The portions were a good size, we didnt touch one of the rice dishes as we had to much. Good value at £35 for four of us.

Chicken curry fried rice came without any rice... chicken chow mein asked for with only beansprouts but had onions too ...disappointed.

We ordered a takeaway from here while staying at Hoburne Bashley, not only did they deliver right to the door of our lodge, it was here in about 20 mins! The food was great, hot and big portions, definitely recommend this place!

Cannot EVER get through on the phone!

Ordered chicken fried rice, seaweed, sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken and chicken chow mein. Leg meat only and this was tough and over cooked in sweet and sour and lemon chicken. Very tough. Seaweed full of sugar. Can’t not recommend enough. Sorry guys but this was very poor.

Best Chinese around. Ingredients are fresh and the staff is nice, although I'd be happier if they wouldn't tailor everything for European taste so much. Authentic Chinese cousin is amazing as it is.

We had used China at Lee's a few times before as our regular, but we switched after experiencing what seemed an over salty takeaway. Our alternative Chinese takeaway recently received a poor hygiene rating so we decided to give Lee's another go and were happy this time. The chicken sweet and sour balls are my favourite and generous portions.

Was about to order at the shop the chef and a few other people were Eastern European and look unwashed so I didn’t eat here I would like a Chinese person to be cooking my food

The food here tasted great with lots of choice and variety. The prices were reasonable. There is no restsurant to eat in but you get your food reasonably quickly

Have ordered takeaways from here for years and the food was outstanding. However, the last few have been well below expectations! The rice was lumpy, clearly it had been reheated and the prawn balls very overcooked to the point where any evidence of a prawn inside was non existent! Very disappointing and we will be going elsewhere from now on!!!

Good quality, nice food. Friendly and helpful staff and the takeaway shop itself looks very clean and modern. Prices are reasonable and on par with other local Chinese takeaways, but the quality is good.

Only good thing to say was that the food ( If you could call it that) arrived relatively quickly.. I don't know where to start, the chicken was soggy and like chewing into slime and after checking the chicken it was pink, the noodles had a pool of oil at the bottom of the plastic box, the egg fried rice was stodgy and over cooked, unfortunately after spending close to £20 we had to throw most of it away, I couldn't eat it and I eat pretty much everything and anything, I'd never recommend this place to anyone, and I will never be ordering from here again

Brilliant food! Pancake rolls are superb, noodles are delicious! Mouth watering just thinking about it! Only slight little issue sometimes delivery times can be a little long, however, just proves how popular China at Lee's is! Won't go any where else x
