Worst chips and curry I had, not to mention overpriced

Delicious huge fish great chips

Reheated food cold sausages waiting for twenty five minutes for them to cook bits and bobs. I recommend going down the road to Lucky's as they have a chip counter

Liked this place when I went years ago but went today just as it opened and as you can see in the picture the chips where all brown . Fish batter wasn't much better. Maybe I was just i was unlucky because most of the reviews are good.

Food was great, and the lunchtime meal was perfect 👌

I am really fussy when it comes to fish as its very difficult to get traditional look and taste. The portions are really generous and the fish tastes like fish 🐟 The peas are good not like soup you get in a lot of places. Only thing I really dislike is the orange packaging it's a rush to get home before the crispy food becomes soggy. It would be good if they could change to the cardboard/paper boxes or just folding paper. Thank you great food 😋

Had the lunch time special of fish and chips and curry sauce. Fish was cooked fresh, generous portion and a can included in the deal.

Friendly family business. Proper hame cut chips perfectly cooked & ma burger was properly munchable materiel, if I wasn't head home to Scotland I would have went back for another!

Food was lovely and freshly cooked. Wish they didn't use polastirene boxes as they make the food soggy and aren't great for the environment, cardboard boxes would make this 5star.

The best fish and chip shop in the Chester area by a country mile! The fish is always freshly cooked to order and the quality is fantastic. The offer kebabs and burgers plus other bits and pieces which are tasty too. Highly recommend this one!

Fist time visit, food was delicious, customer service was excellent and the prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Absolutely lovely place - fish was prepare well and actually seasoned not like most places without any taste. The potatoes were so delish as well 😉 Service were great and waiting was reasonable. Would reccomend

First time going here . Phoned and ordered first and it was ready to collect when I arrived .Great value ,tasty food .fish was delicious ,cheeseburger and the veggie burger were lovely too ,portions were massive! everyone happy 😊 Friendly staff and clean establishment 👍 Best chippy I've been too ,all round excellent

Fantastic food, fantastic service

I’ve eaten in their other take away in Queensferry and I’ve never been let down, this venue is no different!! I had chicken meat and chips with garlic Mayo and it was bursting out of the container!!! Kids had a “small” chips and sausage, small being the opposite as the portion would have fed 2 adults easily. The wife had fish, chips and mushy peas and the volume was overwhelming too. A thoroughly enjoyed family dinner and it’s a place we will frequent again and again. Great value and super friendly staff. Clean interior and parking directly outside so it was super easy all round. Keep up the great work guys

Best fish & chips in Chester, so tasty - we always call up to order beforehand so that we don’t have to wait around too much, always cooked freshly and always a great sized portion. Never had any issues and have always enjoyed our takeout from here as we don’t have them very often.

Yummy Fish and Chips! Loved it!

I'm trying out local fish & chip shops and this place is definitely on top. Kind staff, I ordered in advanced and hardly had to wait for collection, which was very delicious. My only negative comment would be the polystyrene containers and plastic bags it came in, which are non-recyclable. Still looking for a local takeaway that uses environmentally friendly packaging- I would 100% choose any takeaway with card boxes! I also don't know if their fish is from sustainable sources. They do cook with certified sustainable palm oil though! :D I wish more small business would be more accountable for their environmental impact.

Beautiful fish, such a relief to finally be able to get decent fish & chips locally

We fancied fish and chips and noticed that this place was still open during lockdown.They respect social distancing and ask you to wait outside after ordering. They staff wear masks and the door are wide open so it's as safe as it can be.We had fish chips peas and gravy and it was delicious. No grease and very fresh. We'll be back

Absolutely love the fish served here and the chips are excellent as well. Never go anywhere else now as it's the best chip shop around saltbey westminster park and the lache.

Absolute shambles when it comes to customer service, orders getting mixed up and odd portions ie large chips and a very small sauce which just doesn't make any sense as it hardly covers the chips - not good when you think you would have the right size or even ask if you would like it over the chips on the tray. I really love my fish and chips however if they want to be any where near the standard which is expected especially these days they need to get their act together and quickly.

A proper FISH bar that does what it says in Saltney - I grew up with fish n chips shops selling Cod, Place, Haddock Rock Salmon etc so it is FANTASTIC to find one local that when you order COD you don;t get a strange look and told "fish only".. The service is also top notch and it is cooked perfect What more do you wat x
