Cherry Pie in Flintshire

Absolutely fabulous evening with a party of ten on Friday evening for our Christmas meal. On arrival, we were greeted cheerfully at the door and coats taken. The food was excellent. All starters arrived together. The mains were piping hot and well presented. Desserts were superb, including the homemade Christmas pudding and the cherry pie. Nothing was too much trouble. Simon and the waiting-on staff were very attentive and polite. To finish we had homemade warm mince pies and fresh coffee and tea. Cannot fault this place at all. A real gem. Highly recommended.

Booked for three of us to have lunch. Plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Simon as host was attentive and friendly-little things like holding the door for us as we entered (means a lot!). The food was home-cooked and delicious. We were delighted with our visit here!

This place is superb. From the time we walked in until we left we were made to feel very welcome, like we were new friends. Knowing we were bringing our dog, the table had dog treats and a water bowl ready and waiting for us. We have never known such excellent service before coming here, they go above and beyond to make your visit an enjoyable one. The food was delicious and if you wanted more veg, chips or gravy you only had to ask. They even asked my partner if he wanted them to take his cottage pie out of the dish and put it on his plate to cool it down a bit. He said yes and the did it for him. They were mindful of my gluten sensitivity and advised accordingly. Your not limited to just have ice cream or custard or cream with your pudding, you can have all 3 if you like. Like I say if they can do anything to make you experience better, they will. There is such a friendly atmosphere here. We ate here twice and can't wait to visit again and highly highly recommend eating here.

Hidden gem of a place, fabulous staff food superb.Prices are so reasonable for the portions too, never been to a restaurant before where they offered more vegetables or whatever without extra charge.Wonderful from start of the evening where they took your coats to the last brandy of the night.2nd visit is most definately on the cards.5** from start to finish

I cannot praise this place enough. It was ours and our friends first time there despite only living 20mins away. From the minute we walked through the door to the minute we left, we were made to feel welcome. The menu had a great selection. There was something for everyone. Food was fabulous. Had the most amazing evening and have already booked to go again. The fact that it was full with happy customers says it all 👌

Visited the Cherry pie this evening for a birthday meal with my family and just have to say how fantastic the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble, the gentleman behind the bar couldn't do enough for us and was so friendly. The food was outstanding and the service was great. Highly recommend this place 🙂.

We were staying in a nearby lodge and stumbled across this lovely country pub. They were just opening and fully booked but gave a warm welcome and squeezed us in. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Can't fault it. We would definitely return if we visit this area again.

Went here with another couple for dinner, amazing range of food choices on offer and very competitively priced too. The food arrived quickly, was piping hot and served on hot plates.Portions were very generous, excellent quality and we were offered extra vegetables if required (not necessary as there were plenty on offer served with all the meals!). The host, Simon, is very personable and couldn't have made us feel more welcome and valued as customers. Staff were all friendly and polite, never seen such a happy group of people. This is a true hidden gem.

We stopped for a quick bite & drink a couple of days ago. Our old springer spanial was too hot & enjoyed the cool tiled floor & welcoming bowl of water. There were even biscuits for him, which he eventually enjoyed, We only had sandwiches, but would recommend anyone to give this place a try.

Foind this gem of of restaurant had lovely cottage pie. Generous portions and reasonably priced too. The owner came to greet people very friendly and gave a welcoming feeling. Would love come here again. Lovely sat by little stream having food.

Excellent meal in a beautiful pub with a friendly welcoming host. We booked this as we had driven past it a few times on day trips out. It always looked interesting and inviting so we booked a table for our last night. A nice friendly welcome by Simon and a very good choice of dishes and drinks. Simon was very attentive and talked to all of his guests. The food was excellent and my wife has said that her lambs liver was the best she has had in years. I had the half roast chicken with chips and fresh veg. Simon offered extra portions of veg and chips. All in all a very nice meal in a friendly and welcoming establishment. Very highly recommended.

We returned for a 4 night break at the Old Mill on Denbigh Road, this cosy cottage as the benefit of the Cherry Pie being on your door step, and a must to visit.Simon, the inn hospitality host welcomed for dinner over 3 nights, food was excelliant and represented at a very high standard. Fish menus a must to try, sea bass, halibut, fish pie and much more of a selection, mix grill with the help of our wee Scotty to clean the plate was tender and cooked to your liking,a plesent surprise to try l9cal Welsh wine.Once again Simon Thank you for entertaing us over 3 nights, we will be back

Managed to fit us in last minute and the host couldn't do enough to make us welcome. We are a family of 3 adults and two children (aged 10 and 11) and nothing was too much trouble. We skipped the starter and ordered a main and a dessert each, they went the extra mile in getting everyone's meal to their liking, especially the children. Very attentive without being intrusive and when the bill came we were astonished at the low price. Can definitely recommend and will visit again when next in the area.

Just stopped off at the Cherry Pie Inn and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Simon the host is extremely welcoming and had a kind word for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. We were eating later so just wanted a light lunch so my husband had a prawn sandwich which he was offered smoked salmon or avocado with. The open sandwich was huge and delicious. I opted for the chilli which was obviously home made and excellent quality. I saw the award winning butcher dropping off the meat so I am sure that all the meals are of a high standard. Went to the Cherry Pie restaurant this evening, what a beautiful meal, the best belly pork I have ever tasted, my partner had chicken wrapped in bacon in a leek sauce, she absolutely loved it.Fantastic food at reasonable prices, excellent service and a great atmosphere, what more could you ask for\?highly recommended

A gem of a place. The friendly service and excellent food are second to none. Stopped en route to Conwy as the A55 was logjammed. We will make this part of our regular route in future. Really well organised to cope with Covid and an overall excellent experience. Thanks

Liked the location in the middle of the Northern Welch mountains. Heavily booked but you can sit outside if it does not rain.

In spite of the excellent Covid restrictions put in place to protect the customers, the welcome was warm and effusive that settled any nerves. Both Simon and Eleri were superb hosts and this made the meal so worthwhile. The food, especially the fillet steak was cooked superbly and the scampi crisp and moist. This was all polished off with run and raisin ice cream, a delight. What a lovely evening out after lockdown topped off with excellent hospitality makes the Cherry Pie certainly worth the visit if you are in Mold or Denbigh, North Wales.

Stopped here on a whim because we had drove past and liked the name, was pleasant to see a busy restaurant with plenty of regulars. Seating area outside is perfect for the summer nights. Excellent food and even better service. Would highly recommend if your in the area

Wow, it’s a long time since I’ve done one of these ! Definitely worth the wait came out on the “Eat Out to Help Out” and this place is local but never been. The proprietor really looked after us as they’d only just opened after lockdown. We had starters, mains, puddings and a few drinks, all where excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back, hopefully some time soon.

Just popped in by the off chance for a drink but then decided to have a sandwich which was fabulous it was toasted BLT on 3 slice of toast with a full salad garnish including all types of lettuce with water cress tomatoes peppers cucumber and red onion . My wife had tuna mayo and cucumber with the most tuna filling I've seen in a sandwich all plated gorgeously Well worth a stop.

This delightful inn made us feel so welcome the minute we stepped through the door. B}Nothing was too much trouble and though really busy on a Saturday night the attention paid to us was outstanding. Perhaps the highlight of the evening - apart from the food of course- was the wine list presented on a split wooden bottle with the list inside - it fascinated two young men at a nearby table so we left it with them to play with. They were having the sea bass so I had that too and what a good choice. The avocado and prawns starter was not the tired old ]make do but delicious and originally presented. And my bass was just perfect. Also the croquettes and duchess potatoes were perfect - my only complaint I would have like tons of them! So on Thursday we decided to return and though the staff were different it was just as lovely and welcoming - this time duck breasts - delicious! Oh and we met a charming older gentleman on the Saturday that last night we discovered is an MBE - go at once

We absolutely love the Cherry Pie. We have so many memories of wondeful family gatherings there. Today myself & my husband had a beautifully cooked lunch. As always the service is second to none. Thank you Cherry Pie.

Enjoyed a fab Sunday roast at The Cherry Pie today, as part of our our family Ruby Wedding celebration. Food & service were excellent. Lovely atmosphere & freindly efficient staff. David is a special gem, talking to guests & making everyone feel very welcome. Will return & recommend!

Pleasant evening with friends in this restaurant that you need to make an effort to get to. The host was excellent and very attentive. The food was good quality and there was plenty of it. Decor needs updating the collection of empty wine bottles a little off the wall but it is popular with locals, particularly older ones, and great value for money. Less is more, we wasted a lot of our sides which was a pity

Had an excellent experience there tonight. Went with a friend. Were served our drinks outside - lovely evening. When we were called to our table, our drinks were carried in for us. Food was perfect. When I asked for water, a jug of iced water was placed on our table and poured for us. When I began to cough and went outside to use my inhaler, Simon followed to see if I was okay and brought water outside for me. There was a lovely atmosphere there, something like all being one family, a club or a team. Will definitely be returning. Proprietors/staff checked in regularly to make sure that everything was okay. Would award the place 110%.

We recently visited this restaurant for lunch, having driven past many times over the the years. We arrived bang on opening time, as we hadn’t booked a table, but the rest of the diners were hot on our tail!There were a couple of tables still available, so we were given one by the window, which was very nice. What struck us from the start was the exceptional level of hospitality shown to us. We were greeted like old friends, and with genuine interest by the owner/front of house gentlemen. It was clear that this was his everyday manner, and many of the guests were obviously returning customers because of this. The menu is a little old fashioned, as is the decor, but the food we ordered was of good quality and well presented. We enjoyed what we had.We would be happy to return here, and to take friends with us. I’m guessing we’d probably be remembered by the owner too!!

Took my mother and sister for a little lunch here and, once again, we were delighted with our visit. The food is super and the service top notch. Simon, the host, is fabulous and treats all his guests like old friends. More than that, he remembers exactly what my mother likes, even though it’s not on the menu, and provides it with a cheery smile. Top notch and very enjoyable - but you might need to book as it’s understandably very popular.

We first arrived at the Cherry Pie Inn at the end of a hike around the villages for a quick drink whilst renting a cottage in local area for our summer holiday. Met owner Simon who made us feel really welcome and gave us some great tips for things to do around the area. We vowed to go back for a meal as it looked so good and we duly did for a lovely lunch today. Once again Simon made us feel really welcome, had a great chat and nothing too much trouble.The food didn't disappoint, have never seen my daughter eat so much in one sitting! Simon made us feel just as welcome and special as the regular diners there (who were also friendly and welcoming!) great atmosphere,great service and great food!

We decided on the Cherry Pie after searching for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night. We phoned up, and were given a table for 4 at 7pm. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly barman who promptly showed us to our table and took a drinks order. We were made to feel very welcome - quite the opposite of what I expected having driven past for years and never actually calling in! The specials were read out and our orders taken promptly with nothing being too much effort. Starters arrived and were good sized (and not too expensive actually!) Couple of minutes later our mains arrived, myself ordering the lamb shank that came with extra veg/chips which were ok. My friend ordered the belly pork which she really liked, however another’s steak wasn’t quite what she expected, but again it was replaced, with no questions asked (and he knocked off half the price). Finally sweets were ordered, a nice size and again not too expensive. Throughout our meal we were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. However, being three younger individuals, we felt the demographic was slightly older than us, and the menu matches. My mum and dad would love it, as it is good, basic pub grub (and you leave feeling full!) however, for hospitality we really could not fault this place! Worth a visit.

For the third year in a row we had lunch at our favourite - The Cherry Pie - with children and grandchildren, twelve of us in total on July 7th. It is a really enjoyable experience and this this time we even had our own room.

I can’t believe this is the first time my family have been to the cherry pie and we only live 10 mins away! The restaurant is so cosy and homely. Simon is an absolutely fantastic manager, always prepared to go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. The food was INCREDIBLE. I had the lamb which was unbelievable, it also come with a mixture of different potatoes and veg for the table to share which was great. So much choice on the menu it’s was difficult to choose and everything sounds so good. We had such a lovely time that we’ve planned to go again in a couple of weeks. Thank you!

This is now the 5th time in 3 holidays to North Wales that we have eaten at Cherry Pie which should already say enough. We have also met friends from Runcorn their & on this most recent visit introduced my mum to this wonderful restaurant.

We went with friends for lunch, they had been before but it was our first time eating at the Cherry Pie. Our first impression was of a very dated restaurant with old fashioned hospitality. Apparently it’s been in the same family since 1967 and not much has changed since then, certainly not the menu! Four of us had trout (not very often on menus these days) and two had the chicken special. We all enjoyed our food which was well cooked and reasonably priced, although the accompaniments of croquette potatoes, chip and salad were strange. I would have preferred some veg. The whole experience was like stepping back in time. Can’t really fault it, it was busy and is obviously popular with the locals . Who has fruit juice and grapefruit on the menu these days as a starter! Don’t think I will be rushing back any soon.

Currently sat here. This is the 3rd time of visiting. Simon cannot do enough for anyone. We have 2 young children and it's the perfect place for us as it is very family orrinantated. Food is fabulous and atmosphere is better than anywhere else around. Would and have recommended to everyone.

Driving to N Wales on A541 for a few days break and came across this absolute gem of an eating place at Melin-y-Wern between Mold and Denbigh. Feeling peckish and keeping watch for a pub/restaurant saw the sign, turned round, went in, and very glad that we did. Welcomed warmly by Simon and shown to our nicely presented table. Soup of the Day and Corn on the Cob for starters followed by Gammon and 1/2 Spring Chicken. Lots of choice for veg and potatoes all cooked to perfection. Both recommended wines were excellent and complimented dishes perfectly. Nice to have someone who really knows his wines. Shared a Meringue Glace for dessert. Mmmmm. Great hospitality, lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Just a pity we don't live nearer. Would highly recommend this wine bar/restaurant.

I will start with the worst point. We were a group of 20 and it was a bit cramped. That's it otherwise everything was superb. My wife and I were the first to arrive and the landlord was extremely friendly. Once everyone was settled in sharing their gossip the orders were taken. Considering the size of the group every meal was served within minutes of each other. No one had a bad word to say about their choice of meal. Would definitely go back

Make sure you book before you go, because this place is so popular. Simon the host goes out of his way to be helpful. The choice of menu is extensive and nothing is too much trouble. We took my mother for lunch on the day before Christmas Eve. Simon helped her to her seat and fussed her, which she loved. My partner asked if he could have a lamb sandwich, which wasn't on the menu. He got his sandwich and it was delicious. The food is reasonably priced and the place is so popular because it is well cooked and the atmosphere is fantastic. I would highly recommend.

5 of us visited on Boxing Day having pre-booked. It was a set menu but the range of choices were superb ranging from Cordon Bleu to typical pub grub. There was a starter course with about 8 choices to pick from. Then a sorbet, then main course choice again 8-10 dishes. The sweet courses again were very varied. Finished of with coffee and mints. All the food was wonderfully cooked. This is a family run business and the service was excellent. Cant wait to go back. Also in the warmer weather there is plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the views.

11 of us went for a meal on Boxing day and it was delicious, i had the chicken fillet in a leek sauce and hubby had sea bass fillets in a lemon butter which were both scrumptious, Simon and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, his apple and blackberry Gin is amazing and went down very well. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal here to celebrate friends wedding anniversary. Food great, reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere. This is a family run friendly restaurant well worth a visit.

I was looking for somewhere that was equi-distant for myself (Rhos-on-Sea) and my 2 friends (Chester and Ledsham) and found this place on Tripadvisor. I remembered having passed it in the past on journeys but had never been there.

We visited the Cherry Pie in 11th November as a family of 17 to celebrate my mums 70th Birthday, all of the staff from the moment will drove in the car park offered a warm welcome, excellent service and food. I cannot thank them enough for making the day so special, absolutely nothing was a problem.

We went in for a drink Friday evening with our dog and received an excellent service from the owner, treats and water for the dog making us feeling very welcome.

A delightful family pub where we are always treated to a warm welcome and Simon makes us feel like personal friends. The service is prompt and the food delicious. We're lucky enough to live nearby so can call in on the spur of the moment without booking. We have introduced a lot of our friends to the restaurant and there is never any pressure to order or to finish our meal. The servings are generous and 'top-ups' always available.(vegetables, coffee etc) without charge. This restaurant has been going a long time, making changes to suit local demand. Long may it continue!

Went with friends on saturday night,there seems to be a lot of modern restaurants popping up and I think a lot of them could learn a lesson in excellence from this talented family.a real jem

Couldn't have wished for better choice of food, quality of food, service, atmosphere and friendliness. Staff could not have done any more for us - offering plenty of veg, potatoes …...and extra Yorkies !!!

We were staying at the Old Mill Holiday Cottages and decided to try the pub next door. We were welcomed like old friends and although it was very busy, had excellent service. The food was delicious and plentiful. On our second visit a few days later, we had another great evening. Well worth a visit but book a table, it gets very busy.

This has got to be by far the best place we have ever been for hospitality from the time you walk in Simon greets you and makes sure you are ok through out your stay at the restaurant.He takes time to talk to you and nothing is to much trouble. The owner of the restaurant popped in and he spoke to every dinner made you feel so welcome. The food was lovely my husband had the chilli and he said it was lovely I had the lamb terrine lovely too.the plates were full and so was my tummy when we left. Price wise very reasonable this was are second visit here and definitely want be our last.

Last year there were twelve of us, but this year there were only three. The whole family can’t come every year, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, being well looked after by Simon and the staff. Many thanks! See you next year.

Booked in for Sunday lunch was one of the best we have had in a long time was made very welcome as soon as we arrived had three coarse lunch soup delicious we had beef and lamb which melted in the mouth the veg and potatoes just right was even asked if we would like more highly recommended will definitely be back many thanks

Not often we can get Welsh lamb, well we did today for lunch.

We were heading home after a morning shopping in Chester, and decided to avoid traffic by a detour along the Denbigh Road, from Mold towards Caerwys. We had enjoyed meals at the Cherry pie approx 25 years ago. We saw it was open and decided to stop there for lunch. it was a lovely warm and sunny day and there were seats available outside. The landlord greeted us with a big smile, and was very friendly. He asked us what we would like to drink and we both ordered cool iced still mineral water. He suggested we could have tap water with ice, which of course is free!

We call in again what a lovely place so friendly so very helpful we must come over for a meal they are so nice

We visited as part of a large group. Everyone’s food was well cooked and presented. There were lots of options for vegetarians and those with allergies / food intolerances. Portions were good and prices were fair. Service was excellent, staff were very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome.

I have been to the Cherry Pie countless times and have had nearly every Christmas Day lunch there for the last decade and a half. The friendly welcome and top service, the choice and standard of food, the reasonable prices and the general atmosphere combine to make this a really difficult place to beat overall. Nothing is too much trouble and, as a regular, you become a friend, almost like family. Excellent.

Visited today lunchtime, had what was described as half a chicken with chips and a salad garnish. The chicken was nearly all bone, dry, and very difficult to cut, nothing like half a chicken with hardly any meat on it. Very disappointed and will not be going there again.

My mum has been coming to the Cherry Pie for over 20 years so we chose this venue for her 80th Birthday. Simon and his Father are the ultimate hosts. Nothing is too much. There were 14 of us and all our meals were very good. Some of the party even had extra Yorkshire puddings and beef. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and fresh. My mums cake was brought out following the meal and a card was presented to her. My mum’s Birthday was made very special by Simon and his team and family. Thank you so much

Over the years we have mistakenly passed this inn many times but today thankfully we called in. This inn is the friendliest best run and definitely a place to visit again. The manager was the best ever, very attentive and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble and even when busy we saw him helping a lovely old lady from her car and into the inn, how many times anywhere have you seen that? So for a lovely meal in a lovely inn and with the best service , our thanks go to the Cherry Pie Inn at Nannerch.

We hadn't booked but were able to eat here twice on our recent holiday.

Visitado recientemente para la cena, después de haber reservado una mesa de esa tarde. Fue muy concurrido cuando llegamos pero nos sirvieron bebidas inmediatamente y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Opción de bar o un menú a la carta. Platos eran estándar. La comida estaba bien, pero las verduras de acompañamiento (frijoles zanahoria/) eran muy simples. Patatas fritas / croquetas estaban bien. 50 libras por un entrante a compartir, 2 platos principales, 2 cafés (constantemente recargarla) 2 cervezas y 2 copas de vino. Todo el personal era amable y atento. Muy popular con niños. Bastante pasadas de moda en estilo y diseño, pero nada de malo. Buena selección de vinos y cervezas.

Utilizamos para visitar El Cherry Tarta cada año casi veinte años con nuestros niños y sus padres. Finalmente regresamos el domingo 16 de julio y esta vez aún con nuestros hijos, pero también con cuatro nietos. Había doce en total, y fueron recibidos por Simon y personal en la máxima forma agradable. Él nos ayudó con todo desde el aparcamiento para tomar fotos. Disfrutamos de una copa fuera en el sol antes del delicioso asado los domingos. En nuestra compañía es vegetariano y ella era mucha variedad!

Una vez más volvimos a este restaurante geográficamente conveniente para ser recibidos por la mayoría de la familia que lo dirige y lo han estado haciendo durante muchos años. Mirando alrededor de la clientela, es obvio que un montón de gente también son regresar a este amable lugareña, como muchos de los rostros eran familiares. El hecho de que el bar es parte integral con la zona de comedor es una gran ventaja, ya que propicia una sensación de compañerismo y un ambiente de fiesta casi. Las mesas están relativamente cerca uno del otro, así que muy a menudo, las conversaciones sólo comienzan con aquellos cerca. We've just arrived home after a delicious meal at this very quant restaurant, it's family run and they serve an excellent selection of food an d drinks , I had the most succulent perfectly cooked fillet steak and my hubby had a delicious t bone steak , there's something for everyone there , most definitely worth a visit

Another fantastic meal and great service. I booked a table for 17 people including 2 babies. We left a cake with Simon and decorated the room with banners and a balloon. The starters all arrived very quickly after ordering and were plentiful and tasty. As usual Simon and the staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for extra gravy and roasters and they soon arrived. Soon after the puddings and coffee were finished with Simon put on the happy birthday song and brought in the cake. Once the candles were out the cake was taken away cut up and brought back with plates and serviette. We were able to sit outside in the sun with our drinks, even though the restaurant should have been closed for the afternoon. Simon said there was no rush so the remaining 7 of us had a lovely chat and drink before going our separate ways. Thank you again to Simon family and staff.

Oh how wonderful ! The service and attention to detail was extraordinary , the host and his wife went to great lengths to welcome us. The food was very good with very pleasant surroundings..... nothing was too much trouble and they even came up with food and choices not on the menu, they also catered for food allergies and the vegetarian choice was excellent. It had been 30 years plus since I had visited this restaurant and I am so pleased we went back and made some more memories ! Brilliant

We found this several years ago and it is a gem. The food is always good and they are always accommodating to your food tastes. The hosts are always welcoming and friendly.

We dined here last night. Surprised to see it so busy for a Tuesday evening! It's a good sign though. Very warm welcome and the food was lovely. We would definitely recommend and go back if we are ever in the area again.

Friendly welcome, great service and good food. Also allow dogs but recommend you book as only a couple of tables for dog owners.

Stopped here whilst on holiday with my wife for an evening meal during the week. It was quiet with just one other couple in but we were made to feel very welcome from the start. There was nothing too much trouble for the host and his knowledge of the area was very good too. I had black pudding starter with cheese which I hadn't tried before but I certainly will again. My main was the mixed grill, very tasty again and there was plenty, so much so I couldn't finish it.It is only a small dining room so I would probably recommend booking at the weekend but if your passing, call in.. we will.

my partner and i visited yesterday for lunch. it was recommended by a couple we know. food was fantastic. the landlady/owner , although busy made time for a chat. great ambience, decorarion and location. will definately be back great way to spend our day off. Scampi was fab but the proffiteroles were out of this world

We were in the area on holday & just happened to drive past at lunch time & we were hungry. We couldn't have stumbled on a nicer place. There were 4 of us in our party & we were all made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We all had excellent food one having one of the many vegetarian options. The hosts were very friendly & we were made extreamly welcome. We all had different food options & all were cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend The Cherry Pie Inn.

Stumbled on this delightful place last night and so glad we did it was delightful. From the host Simon and his brother to the waiting on staff and the food it was all truly amazing ... we will be back thank you once again...

Like being invited to a friends home for dinner- staff could not have been more attentive. Really impressed by the service and the food was very tasty. Vegetarians should not be put off by the lack of choice on the menu online, we were given a choice of 6 dishes on the night. Diolch!

Love coming to the cherry pie for a meal! The food is delicious, the staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you! Can never fault this place, always enjoy our meals and the atmosphere

Went on a friends recommendation and wasn't disappointed,front of house was very welcoming the menu isn't vast but to me that's good I had the curry which was homemade and delicious the wife had the gammon and again was lovely Prices very good,we will return

This was my second visit just had to return as the first time was outstanding service, attentive and friendly staff and truly quality food. Tonight was valentines night. The owners once again excelled themselves. Tables tastefully decorated and a red rose for the ladies. This location is so relaxing, nothing is too much trouble. The customers are so friendly, you feel so at home.

Visiting my brother and sister in law in nannerch we had to experience the cherry pie. We walked and followed the stream to the cherry pie and were given a massive warm welcome by Simon whose family runs the pub. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and had lunch. Food was lovely but the customer service was truely outstanding and he could not do enough for us. We had a great time and its a shame we are going back to Australia otherwise we would be back.!!!
